One unique thing I was surprised to be asked was "dressed" or plain for my sandwich order. Dressed is mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onion, otherwise it is meat on a plain bun. It was $1 more for dressed which is not noted on the menu but worth the price. My friend got a grilled chicken sandwich with buffalo sauce as is and it looked very unappealing.

Mind you, I'm a single diner simply looking to enjoy a quick meal, just as I've done for years. Somehow, such a simple request turned into an unnecessary ordeal. What bothered me most wasn't even the initial hesitation. It was the dismissive attitude from management. Rather than taking a moment to explore whether an accommodation was possible, I was repeatedly told no, with little effort to find a solution. It wasn't until I finally asked, "So, can you accommodate us or not?" that they suddenly decided to seat me outside. Even then, management made it abundantly clear that allowing me to sit on the patio was somehow an inconvenience to their business because they were "so busy." As a paying customer, that's an incredibly uncomfortable and unwelcoming feeling. However, I will say that the bartender, sun who was serving me was incredibly pleasant. He's the only thing that saved this experience from being a zero star. I completely understand that restaurants get busy and that staffing and seating arrangements can present challenges. However, there's a difference between communicating those challenges professionally and making a customer feel like a burden for simply wanting to dine at your establishment. It's unfortunate to see a place that was once a regular stop and a genuinely enjoyable part of my travel routine become somewhere I no longer care to spend my money. Between the higher prices, elimination of the lunch specials, and decline in customer service, the experience simply isn't worth it anymore. To whoever is overseeing the current management team: Please do better. Loyal customers shouldn't have to fight to feel welcome, especially when they're simply asking for the same experience your establishment has provided for years.
