Terrible place. First my order took about 30 - 40 minutes for it to be made. Not only that, they messed up my order. I ordered a chicken lo mein and they gave me steamed vegetables INSTEAD. When I told the waitress, he clearly seemed very irritated at me for asking for my actual order. Then they took another 30 - 40 minutes for my order to be made and the whole time the waitress seemed very mad and annoyed that I even asked for my actual order. The waitress was a bald Asian man I think. Service was TERRIBLE and food took an HOUR total for it to be made. Food wasn't even good. read more

Above average Asian food! The serving staff were very nice and attentive. The interior is exactly what you would expect from an Asian restaurant. The food was better than most Asian restaurants I've been to but didn't blow my socks off. read more

I absolutely love this place. I work downtown and usually order this for work lunch 1-2 times per month. It comes quickly and they deliver. The guy is usually so nice and if you have a big order they throw in some soda for free. This food is good for your soul. I love the sushi rolls, miso soup, egg drop soup, and bento boxes! read more

I used to live down the street from this restaurant and have semi-regularly gone there for years. Every single time I have been to this place I have enjoyed the food there. The workers are friendly and they recognize regulars which is always nice. The ambience is ok but I personally think the food quality matters more and the food quality is that good. Every time I have pad Thai or miso soup at a different restaurant I find myself comparing it to Asian harbor to decide whether it is good. read more

Stopped in while on a business trip and was pleasantly surprised finding quality sushi in Indiana. The sukura roll was unique and the hot and sour soup was tasty. My only minor criticism is that the sushi roll kind of fell apart and I needed to use a fork to pick it up, but the flavor was on-point. Will stop in again, next time I'm in town. read more

I stopped in to pick up lunch yesterday when I was doing errands nearby. The guy at the front was so friendly and nice. I got the General Tso's chicken lunch meal and it was very tasty! Good quality chicken, not too bready, tasty sauce that was not too sweet. It was enough food that I got two meals out of it. I'll be back! read more

I've been to Asian Harbor 3 times as a last second thought. I really should think about this place a lot more. During that nasty snow storm the first Saturday in December, the streets were nasty and there was virtually nobody out. I had just dropped some people off for a Christmas concert and I had a couple hours to kill. Miserable weather limited my options plus the age old question "What to get?". It was definitely a "soup day" so I headed for Asian Harbor to get something mundane. Fortunately, the manager (whose name I didn't get) told me it was time for beef noodle soup. I tried it with Udon noodles and wow was it good! I have yet to be disappointed with anything I have ordered. First time was Spicy (extra spicy) Lamb, the second time was Pork Egg Foo Young and now the Beef Noodle Soup. I didn't take any pics as there's nothing sexy about a to-go container. If you're on the west side of downtown Indy, don't sleep on this place. read more

(Review by my 13 year old) What's up skinny biggies, it's your local sigma here reviewing Asian Harbor. It was a small, quiet place that had a very lowk vibe all around. The service was speedy, and the portions were pretty ding dang darn good! I had the Orange Chicken Bento, and it was honestly too much for my big back. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and overall everything seemed pretty skibidi. We also got the veggie sushi platter and we appreciated how many vegetarian options there were. But anyways, the veggie sushi platter was good, but the best part was the rolls and we would've MUCH rather had more of the rolls than the other sushi's on the platter. So overall, it's a nice place with a ton of options for the whole fam, and I would definitely recommend. With that, I may award this restaurant with the official Stamp Of Skibidi!!! Congrats sigma alpha! FEIN FEIN FEIN! read more

Fri, 10/11/24 @ 5:39pm: ASIAN HARBOR, 203 W. MICHIGAN ST, INDIANAPOLIS, IN 46204 317-686-888. DELIVERED TOME: This is my first time trying this restaurant via of Door Dash. I love their food that I ordered as delivery and the food was delivered on time. I ordered Crab Rangoon--delicious and Pepper Steak, Pork Fried Rice, Egg Roll--scrumptious! Their order are quite large which I loved and plenty of condiments, fortune cookies and utensils! They have a large menu as well! I plan on ordering from Asian Harbor again and again either by delivery and/or visiting their restuarant!! You have to try their food for I know you will not be dissapointed! :-) LSykes read more

I have been on the hunt for good Chinese takeout downtown as my partner lives there and I visit frequently. We ordered through Asian Harbor on a Friday night, surprised to see it delivered so quickly and still hot. The size of the menu is enormous, which I should have understood meant trouble. My partner and I both opted for chicken dishes: sesame for myself, General Tso's for him. The dishes were quite literally the exact same, except for the fact that mine had a few sesame seeds sprinkled on top. The sauce was more appropriate for orange chicken or sweet and sour chicken than either of the dishes we actually ordered. My pork fried rice was so dry it was almost inedible. They also could have been more generous with the rice; I've seen most takeout places provide oyster pails full of rice, but here it just came in a cup. The size of the entree was generous, but it didn't make up for the lack of differentiation between dishes. I was hoping this place would be "the one," but my quest for good Chinese takeout continues! read more

This is a great takeout spot! We haven't dined in, but they do have tables available. Our order was ready in 15 minutes and was hot and fresh when we picked up. The chicken fried rice is sooooo good! We also got chicken lo mein & it was good, but we liked the fried rice a lot better. The crab Rangoon is pretty standard -- but the filling was perfect super hot and creamy. The sushi was good for the price. It's a great deal for the portion sizes! We each made 3 meals out of this order. read more

Pleasantly surprised with todays take out from Asian Harbor. I've been here a few times and wanted to try something new. Their Chinese food is pretty decent (huge portions and great variety of bento boxes), the sushi specialty rolls are decadent but pricey. Today I got the yellow curry chicken! I was happy with it, I wish I was offered spice levels because I would have loved if it was just a kick more hot. I had originally ordered the red curry but after talking with the worker I found out the Yellow is much more popular and thus switched. It was a nicely sized portion of curry with veggies. My fortune cookies were very stale. One of them didn't have a fortune in it! Impressive how quickly the order was ready though -- only 15 minutes. My curry was very hot when I got it too, straight from the kitchen. Pretty good overall! read more

Update review. This place has gone down hill some since my previous 5 star review. When that was made, they were offering a decent size authentic Chinese menu that featured many dishes one can't get in downtown indy. Since then, their authentic menu is substantially less. Furthermore, their americanized fare is bland and over sweet (as with majority of americanized Chinese joints) and prices are on high-ish end. Hard to justify ordering americanized Chinese food for same price as nearby thai dishes which are less sweet, more authentic, spicier, higher quality. I do not order this place much at all any longer. Indianapolis is one of only major cities not to have exclusive authentic Chinese restaurant near the city core. There are various places that offer limited menu items but none that have more expansive menu. Asian harbor was on path to being this place prior to covid shutdown and has since retained just a couple of dishes. This location in downtown of major city, nearby ever growing and diversifying iupui campus could be a staple if the featured real chinese food. read more

Asian Harbor is our go to place to Chinese and sushi! We've never at inside but we've gotten delivery and takeout many time. Delivery is always quick and each time they give us a free 2 liter soda! Our most recent time out I picked up a sushi feast! We got a few rolls we usually get: Snow White : so fresh and yummy!! Has Mango in it Dynamite: classic fried roll. So good! Dinosaur - huge soft shell crab roll. It's a challenge to eat in one bite but the yummiest We tired a few new rolls: Pink lady: so cute and pink! Very fresh flavor Ocean Viking: topped with a fried piece, this had jalapeño in it and it was such a nice flavor. Highly recommend coming for Chinese or sushi! read more

Surprised at the overall rating for this place on Yelp. Staying downtown with my children, looking for a place that was family friendly but wasn't a chain. Staff was super friendly, dinning room wasn't full, however, their take out business was super steady the entire time we were there. The staff was very attentive and helpful with the menu, they have an impressive list of sushi as well as Chinese dishes. We ordered goyza, orange chicken, the Phoenix & Dragon dish (which is a split plate of General Tso's and Chinese vegetables) and chicken fried rice. Everything was delicious. Would definitely come here again. read more

Stopped in for lunch during the week as this place is walking distance from the circle. They do a ton of takeout but I decided to dine in and the place was pretty busy for lunch during the week. They have a great weekly lunch special so I decided on the chicken with broccoli bento box. It came with soo much food and the food came out within 5-10 minutes of ordering. Everything was really hot too so I knew it was fresh. All of this food for only $10, you really can't go wrong! This is definitely going to be one of my top stops for lunches during the week. Great lunch spot! I work downtown and Asian Harbor is only a 4 minute drive away. They have a great and diverse menu with a lot of options. We came around lunch time and it was pretty dead. The staff was extremely friendly and fast. Our food was out very quickly (it probably helped that it wasn't busy). I ordered the szechuan chicken bento box - SO DELICIOUS - I want it right now! This is my go to place for Chinese delivery in Indianapolis and it hits right every time! It is very nice that they have Japanese options too, so the menu has a lot to offer! The sushi is delicious, the crab Rangoon is a must order, I personally love the shrimp egg rolls but the pork egg rolls are great too. This is our go-to Chinese food restaurant in downtown Indy. Their sesame chicken, orange chicken, spring rolls, lo mein, and crab Rangoon are great! Their entrees are served with chicken fried rice (my husband oftentimes requests vegetable fried rice instead and they always grant that request), and a side like egg roll, crab rangoon, various type of soup, or a drink. It's a pretty good deal. It's always packaged in a way that doesn't spill and stays warm. Always with a few fortune cookies for good measure! During COVID, they are only offering take out and no dine in option. It's a safe environment and I'm glad they're staying opened for take-out. read more

My boyfriend was discriminated against by this establishment after being a loyal customer for years As he walked in and asked for a seat the lady proceeded to tell him that they closed at 9:30pm which was 40 minutes before closing So she said that he would have to take a to go He then order the spicy lamb and when he got to the car to check his food and take a bite he realized he was given beef So a little time goes by and he sees two groups come in and be seated He then proceeds to go back into the establishment to confront the manager Which they did nothing to rectify the misinformation given because of pure laziness or prejudice read more

I wanted this to be a good review. I really did. I ordered twice in the last week. I received everything, as ordered, and it was well packaged. It's a bit annoying when the plastic lid sticks to the top of the bigger sushi rolls. The delicious sauces and toppings stick to the lid and are removed when you lift the lid off. It's a world-wide sushi take out hazard. My first order was two rolls and a Tom Yum Soup. The rolls were average, but the one that touted "seared tuna," was not appetizing. The tuna on top of the roll was heated (not seared) and kind of grey-white. It didn't taste bad, but it looked awful. The soup was dreadful. It was bland and a weird color. The veggies and shrimp inside were fresh and delicious. The first run wasn't so bad that I didn't want to try again. My second order was three rolls and Tom Kai Soup. The rolls were not awesome. They were not rolled well and were falling apart. This might have been due to the number of pieces crammed into a small box and the sticky rice becoming one in transit. It tasted okay, but was a bit of a mess. The nori was dark and very flaky, which indicates good product. The Tom Kai soup was even more terrible than I could have expected. It wasn't white and creamy, like I expected. Also, it tasted like vomit. I know that's a really awful thing to say and I know it wasn't vomit, but it tasted and smelled reminiscent of vomit. I couldn't even. This joint is off the list. read more

We were in downtown Indianapolis, and we were hungry. Spotted this place and decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed. The portions were gargantuan, the food was flavorful and enjoyable, and the service was first-rate. We're not big eaters, and a dinner portion was big enough to feed two of our party. Highly recommended, and we will return. If Timmy is your server, tell him that the crazy Englishman sends his regards. read more
