Saigon Pho is a full-menu Vietnamese restaurant with a large menu featuring soup, salad, sandwiches, congee, grilled rice dishes, stir fries, noodle bowls, and of course,, pho, There are dishes with pork, beef,chicken, shriimp, squid, and even frog. After perusing the menu, i settled on a vegetarian spring roll the Pho Special, a South Vietnamese style with thin noodles, beef flank, tendon, tripe and meatballs. It came customizable, of course with basil, beansprouts, hot pepper slices, hot sauce and lime. The initial taste of the broth was delicious, well balanced and well seasoned. Our foodie group came to Pho Saigon for dinner one night during the week because our original restaurant we were planning on going to was closed, and Pho Saigon was our backup choice. Needless to say it was a good backup choice because the food was excellent. The ambiance is beautiful and they have an extensive wonderful menu. The service was mediocre I will say because our server did not talk much and it was hard to tell if she understood our orders, but everything did turn out Ok. We had to pay at the front cashier, which we did not know until after our meal, so that was a little inconvenient. The food was excellent and blew me away. I ordered the crispy egg noodles with pork, shrimp, and chicken, alomg with the wonton soup as an appetizer. The wonton soup was immaculate and tasted perfect. The crispy egg noodles with pork, shrimp, and chicken had perfect texture and great flavors. It tastes terrific and made my night. Pho Saigon was a nice experience overall. I ordered the mixed vermicelli bowl with grilled pork and egg rolls, and it was really good. The flavors were satisfying, and the portion felt worth it. The staff were nice, and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. My friend tried the pho and thought it was just average, but it did come with a lot of toppings. I got the Pad Thai and it was sooooooooo good and I got the strawberry boba which was so huge for $7 and it was more of a slushy taste before it melted which the server will tell you before hand , kinda wished they made the food portion a little bigger but regardless it was great and filled me up nicely , my friend got a crab Rangoon as an appetizer and that was really good, the food didn't take that long to come out and they also gave us a 10% card because they were late bringing the water so they also value the customer. It came to the table so packed with ice I could not stir the condensed milk and coffee together. I gave up and took it to the counter and asked them to stir it. The pho was good- honestly, I'm not an aficionado, so I can't tell you how it stacks up against others if that's your thing, but it's nice on a cold day. This is a Vietnamese restaurant that offers Thai dishes also. So if you go there you definitely find something you like, out of about or more than 100 menu items. I love having pho here, there's no miss, only hit for it. I do enjoy the variety in menu as well. Service can be slow, unless the restaurant is very quiet and empty. The menu has this small sticker on the front that says add $1 to the price. With the amount of reviews they have, I had been curious to try this restaurant located on the intersection of 38th Street and Georgetown. With ample parking and stand-alone style of construction, you can easily spot this restaurant in the Lafayette Shoppes plaza. Upon entry, we were greeted by a warm male server who took us to a booth by the windows. He quickly brought the menu and my first impression was "Wow, so many options!" Their menu is long and you can find some Thai delicacies also on the menu such as Pad Thai, Crab Rangoon and so on. Another attraction point for this place is that they serve bubble/boba tea which not many sit-down restaurants serve. Well coming back to their menu and food. We got crab Rangoon appetizer with Thai iced tea, followed by lemongrass chicken and basil shrimp. Their pho is very famous too! The crab Rangoon appetizer looks super pretty and appetizing. The entrées quickly followed which can assure you that their service is pretty quick too. Since Lemongrass Chicken does not come with veggies, I requested for those to be added and the server happily agreed. Basil shrimp seemed to have some kick/standout flavor missing. Both dishes came with a bowl of white rice. Lemongrass chicken obviously stole attention for me with the aroma and good flavors. Went to eat for Sunday lunch with the family. As always great food and attention to detail on every item. The meal was delicious of item tasted like a colorful burst of flavors. Each bite making you know you chose the right place to eat and the right place to be. It was hard to take photos of the food I wanted to dig in right away but that wouldn't be fun. There was also a pot of hot tea which is not pictured and was brewed to perfection. The ambiance was nice and the place was what you expect authentic if you have not been here and are in town I would definitely recommend stopping by and trying anything as all of it seems to be great.
