I pass this place often when I visit my nail salon, Unique Nails, across the street and decided to stop in. It's was lunchtime and fairly busy so I decided to get my order to go. I was promptly greeted upon arrival. After placing my order, I was given a number and found my way to a table to wait for my order to be freshly prepared and brought to me. There was a steady flow of diners picking up orders and dining in. I ordered the Drunken Noodles with chicken and a spring roll. The Drunken Noodles vegetables were very fresh and packed with chicken. And the spring roll was deliciously crispy, I only wish that I'd ordered more than one! This place has become my weekly! Basil Thai fried rice, beef noodle soup and spicy catfish. The flavors are authentic and full of flavor. The staff is friendly and always so nice. The restaurant is always clean and it' just has a good vibe all the way around. Had to break up with my last Thai place because I could tell when they had a different cook, but this place never lets me down. Can't wait to try the curry next and the pad thai. As I walked in, all of the pictures of the food entrées made me want to eat all of the food. Everything looked so enticing!! First, the restaurant is very clean. After you order and pay for your food, you seat yourself and the food is delivered to you. When I received my food, my eyes were pleasantly surprised at how delicious and nice the food looked. After eating one bite, I thought the was perfectly cooked. The meal was excellent. My only complaint is they don't have an EatThai where I live (lol). I wish I could pick the restaurant up, relocate it to where I live, and try the rest of the entrées that were on the wall when I walked in. A work colleague took me to lunch at Eat Thai while I was in town on business. The place was pretty good fast casual restaurant. There was enough on the menu to make things interesting, and I decided to try the green curry with chicken. I was asked how spicy I wanted it on a scale of 1 to 6. I went with 4, and it was just right - definitely spicey, but not painfully so. The curry was a little watery in texture, but otherwise it was really good. The regular was the perfect size for lunch, but they also offer a large size. Our bill for two entrees and two drinks was less than $30, and these days that's pretty good value. I had the best experience here on a Saturday afternoon and cannot wait to return. This tiny little place is absolutely gorgeous inside. The all design touches were beautiful: the origami in the bathroom, the fresh orange blossom water in the bathroom, the greenery throughout the restaurant, the overall cleanliness! Favorite Thai place in the city!! Typically order online pick up which is always quick and nicely prepared. Always greeted with a warm welcome. They also have amazing Basil Fried Rice, Crab Fried Rice, Noodle Soup, Tom Kha Soup, and Tom Yum Soup. They have a loyalty program that rewards you 1 star for every $9 spends. Once you get 10 stars you received a $9 discount equivalent to a regular meal. They are in a strip mall with lots of parking. The ambiance is the typical Thai vibe. You order at a register, just like at Five Guys. When you're food is ready they bring it out for you, so there really is no waitstaff. I had the Tom Yum soup and fried spicy basil with chicken. They have a heat scale that runs from 1 to 6. I was feeling brave and went with four. I also thought this is Indy, how hot could it be. Well any hotter would have been too hot. Unless you can handle really hot food stick to 3 and under. This was a good choice since I new my group would not be drinking alcohol. One of the best Thai restaurants on the north side of town. I highly recommend the chicken and shrimp pad Thai spice level medium hot. The Thai fried rice with chicken or shrimp is also very good. I have tried the drunken noodles with chicken spice level hot and it was delicious. This is a very laid back spot on the weekends. BUT I must say EatThai's brown rice is the authentic purple sticky rice which is a game changer. EatThai is my favorite Thai restaurant in Indianapolis. Let me tell you why: The food always tastes fresh and has good flavor. You place your order at the counter, then find a seat and they bring it out to you. Every time I have eaten here, it is ready in about 10 minutes. They offer a spice level of 1-6. I usually get a 2-3 then add my own chili sauce as needed, which they have available at a condiment table near the drink machine. The menu is simple with a good variety, but not so much variety that you feel overwhelmed by choices. My favorite entree is the chicken pad thai -- definitely one of the best I've ever had. Of note, you are able to order half sizes of the appetizers, which is nice if you are dining by yourself. The price is very reasonable for the amount of food. Regular entrees are $8 ($10 for shrimp) and have always left me full. They also have a rewards program for frequent customers, however this is not well advertised, so you may have to ask about it at the counter. I believe you get a free entree after 10 purchases. Overall, I would highly recommend Eat Thai. If you are unsure what to get, you can't go wrong with the chicken pad thai! read more

I had a terrible experience here this evening. I have had good food here on multiple occasions but this time my Thai fried rice tasted nothing like the usual, the chicken and shrimp were tasteless and almost like they were not cooked properly. My wife had similar comments about her pad Thai and we ended up throwing out the food we just paid for. It may be that it was a new cook or they just had a bad day but we were the ones on the losing end not getting what we paid for and expected.
