It has been a little difficult to find vegetarian pho in Indiana but Pho VN really came through with theirs. The spring roll appetizer was very good, especially with the peanut sauce; we didn't want to stop eating it. Both bowls of pho came out pretty fast. The broth for the veggie pho was flavorful and it had a lot of veggies and tofu. They also give you a lot of bean sprouts on the side to add to your soup. The price is worth it for the quality and quantity of everything you get. I will definitely be coming back.

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night and was so excited to see a sign for weekend special featuring Bun Bo Hue. I love me some Bun Bo Hue and was absolutely delighted to see that they served it with pork blood cubes! Not all places do that but it's such a treat when they do. Also ordered the Pho Bo Vien and noticed their pho broth is on the sweeter side. Still very yummy and $13 for regular size is reasonably priced. Large size is $14. Interior is cute with lots of seating available. Parking is super easy since it's in a plaza. Service is friendly and efficient.

This was our second time here. The first time we both got pho and it was delicious. This time we started with pork spring rolls and crab rangoon. Both were great! Some of the best and piping hot fresh crab rangoon I've ever had. Since I had pho last time, I tried pork banh mi this time. It was good. Decent size, but not huge. About the size of a 6 inch sub. One person ordered a regular size pho (there is a larger size) while another ordered a pho from the kids menu. Pho portions are huge no matter what size you get! The kids size was almost as big as the regular! Neither person could finish their regular or kids size pho as both were so big! Everyone left with a full stomach. Service is good. Can be a little slow depending on how busy they are as there only seemed to be a couple of servers. The ambiance is lacking. It's a former mexican restaurant and those details remain with not much traditional Vietnamese decor. Standard strip mall restaurant, but the restaurant is large and we had no problem walking in and getting a seat at lunchtime on a Saturday.

Went today for lunch and it was delicious! The service was quick and very friendly. I got the #17 which was the NY strip pho. The broth is so good and flavorful. I can't wait to go back. I couldn't even finish the small. It was $15 and some change total with tax for a small.

They did not disappoint me. Their food is still delicious as the first day the opened and the service was perfect as well

It's been awhile since I ate at Pho VN and the food has significantly improved! All of the food tastes so delicious, especially the pho. The beef banh mi was good, but I wish the bread was toasted more and beef wasn't as chewy. There's a lot of seating and free parking. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because the service is very slow. However, the food is worth the wait!

My go-to Vietnamese place in Fishers/northeast Indy! We always have a great experience and fulfilling meal here! They've expanded and added more room. Take-out is super efficient and quick and packaged very well, we just had it last night and everything was still piping hot when we got it home to assemble ourselves (pho comes with broth in separate container).

Pho VN Cuisine looked to be a busy Viet restaurant in Fishers so we decided to come here for lunch. The dining room is large and the service to get your food was fast. However, I was disappointed with the service during my meal. Our server did not check on us at all during the meal to see if we needed anything. We had to flag someone down to ask for napkins which there were none at our table. I ordered the pho with NY steak. I guess I imagined it different as I pictured having flavorful grilled steak slices over the pho. Instead it was thinly sliced like the normal flank or round steak that would come with your pho. The pho was hearty and the broth was tasty. However, the steak had an odd taste that I could not describe. I think that grilled steak slices over the pho would be a lot better. I also upgraded to the large bowl of pho for $1 more, which was worth it. The portion size was generous, however after the meal I was super thirsty. I am concerned about the amount of MSG or salt in the pho. Overall, I give Pho VN Cuisine 3 stars. The food was good, but the service was lacking and the pho with NY steak had an odd taste with the meat. Pros: Large dining room Fast service Hearty pho Generous portion sizes Cons: Service was lacking Pho with NY steak had an odd taste Concerned about MSG or salt in the pho

Me and the wife decided to go try Vietnamese food today. We had no idea what to order. The Tatyana the server was incredible. The spring and egg rolls were delicious. The pho was amazing too.

The food was amazing, the restaurant was clean (although a little drafty), and staff was efficient. Food was brought out in a reasonable amount of time, waters were kept filled, and dirty dishes removed as needed. Again, the food was amazing! My pho experience in the Indy area has been limited with this restaurant only being the fourth one I've tried to date, with a westside place being my favorite 'til now. I'd say the other place has some competition. I will happily return. For party of two, sharing a sandwich, two "small" bowls of pho, and two iced Vietnamese coffees, the ticket was right at $50 (without tip).

This pasty white boy is no expert in vietnamese cuisine. I do travel for a living but the the 50-75 times I've experienced Pho have all been in Canada or the USA. This pho tonight which was the pho Tia nam may have been the best I've had or at least top five. I ordered the large and then also asked for extra noodle. It was served in a large bowl but you could tell the noodles were added. It was hard at first to have just the broth which so much going on in the bowl. The broth was slightly brown but clear and had depth of flavor. There were plenty of strips of beef and an over abundance of noodles that were perfectly cooked. This along with plenty of side garnish which was washed and fresh made for a delightful bowl of pho. Marked on my favorite list. By the way the pricing was very reasonable. This bowl of pho in Cleveland is another $5

We stopped in the day before New Year's Eve and the place was a full house with no tables available, which tells you everything you need to know. This spot is clearly loved by the locals and for good reason. Once seated, the mission was straightforward. My partner ordered the Pho Ga, my son went with the house special pho and wisely added extra noodles, and I had the pho tai with extra noodles as well. For an appetizer, we shared the goi roll, a classic Vietnamese spring roll that was fresh and perfectly done. Every bowl came out steaming hot and packed with flavor. Comfort food strong enough to restore balance to the Force. Drinks wise, they offer fountain drinks and bubble tea, both solid options, but we stuck with water. Not because we didn't want them, but because the current regime has the economy in a chokehold and even Jedi have to make budget conscious choices sometimes. At about $20 per person for what we ordered, the value was solid, the portions were satisfying, and the food was flat out delicious. Pho Tasty has earned its reputation as a busy, reliable, and well loved restaurant. We'll absolutely be back, preferably when the galaxy is a little less crowded. The Force is strong here.

There's plenty of seating and service was great. As I looked through the menu the dish that stood out to me was the thịt kho trứng (caramelized pork and egg rice dish). This isn't a dish that is usually in menus. It's a special dish made at home usually reserved for the lunar new year. After living away from family for a year now, this dish felt like a piece of home and comfort. The flavor of the pork egg dish is absolutely delicious. While this dish is typically supposed to be made with pork belly, chef Ricky substitutes it with pork shoulder for a more familiar taste/texture to our Midwestern community. I'm not mad honestly. The meat was so tender and pulls apart easily to eat with the rice which means it was braised long enough. I only ate half of the serving as it feels like a generous serving. I enjoyed that it was paired with slides tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and pickles veggies. The only thing missing was the nước chấm dipping sauce. The chè ba màu three color dessert is also another home away from home dish that instantly brings me back to my mom's house. The pandan jelly, red beans, coconut sauce and mung bean combine together so well and it was definitely a splurge to enjoy something so delicious. Thanks for a cozy, comforting meal. I'll definitely be back again when I'm feeling home sick.

I loved the food prepared by one cook, who did it all. First, I had trouble finding the cafe. The entrance is on the Northeast side of the building. There are no signs outside. The cafe is on the right as you go through the doors. The menu, on a board over the counter offers rice and noodle bowls, ban mi sandwiches, spring rolls and several soups. Breakfast and lunch options are available. I ordered the spring rolls and hot and sour soup at the counter and paid. Food takes a few minutes to prepare and then the order is called. The shrimp spring rolls are huge and amazing, served with a delicious peanut sauce. The cilantro was fresh and aromatic. The hot and sour soup was very good, too. The hot soup was packed with veggies including wood's ear mushrooms. A steady stream of medical staff came in and ordered their favorites without looking at the menu. Prices are great. A banh mi sandwich is $8. There are four cafe size table to eat inside. Most people take their meals to go. There is plenty of parking outside in the dedicated lot.

It's missing a more fragrant (star anise, clove, cinnamon, peppercorn) broth that I'm used to for pho, but the soup is great for being a chicken based broth. Everything was fresh tasting. The soup had Thai basil, cilantro, sliced onion, basically all the appropriate accompaniments. No bean sprouts, which is the way I like it. And I love the added touch of fried shallots. Yes it's not traditional, but imparts a great flavor. I also like how there is no hoisin sauce provided to suggest it should be added. The soup is great as is. It was a perfect option for a rainy winter's day. For the banh mi, the marinated pork is cooked to order. The shrimp spring roll had fresh vegetables and just the right amount of moistness for the rice paper wrapper. Overall, I would return here just for that soup. A hidden gem for home-y tasting food. There was a lady cooking on her own behind the register, and she was skilled at preparing meals with a sense of urgency, taking orders, and cooking as customers came in. There are three tables and a few chairs, so not much seating, but most customers were getting their food to go.

I learned this trick many years ago when I lived…read morein Orange County, an area of Southern California with some of the best pho outside of Vietnam. One time, I was at a Vietnamese restaurant and saw a man sitting by himself, his face over a steaming bowl of pho, with a pile of tissues next to him. He'd alternate slurping up noodles and broth with blowing his nose. It was gross but also kind of brilliant and also somehow still delicious-looking. Homeboy was on a mission to clear his nasal passages, I tell you what. So, the next time I had a cold, I tried my man's technique. And you know what? Yes, pho is a medical miracle. If you're on the end stages of a cold, where you feel 90% better but you still have some nagging junk hanging on, get a bowl of pho. And bring some tissues with you. Short story long: The pho at Long Thanh is probably the best pho I've eaten in Indianapolis. Not only was my pho ga delicious and simple, like a great bowl of chicken pho should be. But I visited with the end stages of a cold, and once I put my face over the bowl and started slurping, I could feel the pho working its magic. My visit was also a reconnaissance mission, of sorts: I know there are a lot of places to get pho around Indy, but where would one go to get an amazing bowl of pho? I didn't have that one place to point someone to, or take someone to, until today. Long Thanh is it! Now, this is not the most aesthetically pleasing restaurant that I've ever visited. In fact, I would probably qualify this place as a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. It's located in a dusty strip mall. The building looks like it was built in the 1960s and hasn't been updated since the 1990s. But I'm willing to overlook the spider webs in the windows, the ramshackle carpet and the upside-down Lowe's bucket serving as a plant holder. Why? Because the pho at Long Thanh is the kind of pho you want to be sticking your sick freakin' face over. So, the pho ga is my standard pho order, because how can you go wrong with chicken soup? The pho comes with a platter of herbs -- Thai basil, regular basil and cilantro -- and bean sprouts to sprinkle into your bowl, according to your preference. There are also some lime wedges to squeeze, and jalapeno slices to add for a little heat. If you need more heat, there's Sriracha and other sauces at the table. I add Sriracha as I eat, because I like to build up the heat as I go. Basically, my bowl of pho was exactly what I wanted: a hot and flavorful bowl of broth and perfectly cooked noodles and chicken, with the ability to add handfuls of fresh herbs and sprouts for a nice fresh, crunchy texture. One other reason to visit Long Thanh: the owner of this restaurant. This guy is also the host, the server, the cook, and the person who clears the tables. He is a bright and shining beacon of light in an otherwise dusty strip mall in central Indiana. He was super enthusiastic about every single thing. You can tell that he loves what he does, and it shows in the food he serves.
