    Spectacular dessert: Affogato panna cotta!

Lovely Winter Park hotel dining room with an ambitious menu. Acoustically a bit noisy, servers competent but not as attentive as they could be. Fresh fish usually a good option.

-Magical Dining 2025- Hamilton's Kitchen was my kickoff to MD 2025 and was a lovely start! We were excited about the well varied menu and came ready to sample the variety. I personally went with Caesar Salad for the starter which is my lowest scoring plate from the evening. Honestly lacking flavor and the one anchovy atop the dish felt misplaced. I prefer its presence in the dressing. But the lentil soup and grilled peach burrata plates were much better. If I were to get a do over, I'd go burrata. Better flavor throughout. As far as main plates, I was very satisfied with the airline chicken. The entire dish felt well executed and the sides paired nicely. The salmon was also exceptional and came with one of the tastiest sauces I've ever had! Dessert was my favorite and I stand firm in my choice to go with the bread pudding which was served perfectly warm with some berries for freshness. The portion was so generous as were all of the plates served! This is definitely one of the better valued options as far as magical dining is concerned. I really enjoyed Hamilton's Kitchen and look forward to returning. The service was friendly and I did enjoy the atmosphere inside although look forward to dining on the expansive outdoor patio during the cooler months!

1 year later we are back, but probably never again. This place really went downhill in 1 years time. The Cesar salad and pasta dish were too salty, the chicken entree had no flavor, was luke warm, and dry. The salmon was good, I was told and while the shrimp and scallops tasted good going down, I was sick 3 times later that night. The sticky toffee pudding was neither sticky nor toffee, it was 3 small slices of raisin like bread with raisins and a smear of cream. Totally underwhelming for $10! Service and ambiance were good, but not worth the price and disappointing food!

After reading the reviews I was glad I'm not alone on this. The food and the service really wasn't on par with what the price is. I walked in on Mother's Day and sat at the bar. The bartender was very cold. Nice, but not a smile or a friendly remark when I tried to talk to her . My date wanted a table but since it was res only , we ended up at the bar. I ordered three proccezcos for our lunch with was probably my favorite thing. It was nice ! But that's kinda where everything stopped . We ordered the fried green tomatoes and we got it and there was no goat cheese so we alerted the bartender and she said they made the wrong one. She apologized and it was fine- we received our new dish and it barely had goat cheese on it at all. The menu boasted whipped goat cheese like it would be in abundance. The dish was good, just wasn't what we were expecting. For our main, I ordered a crab cake Benedict that just wasn't good. It was really salty and the crab cake had no flavor. My date got the braised short rib that was just ok. For the price, I was expecting more flavor. Around us it seemed as if people were having their own issues. One guy at the bar was fuming about waiting for his check. There were multiple people who asked for dinner menus that had to wait for more to be printed. And a couple asking where their food was with the excuse being "they're turning the kitchen over for dinner so it might be a while but I'll go check" One reviewer had said it seemed like the wait staff didn't care whether their guests were happy and I will say I 100% agree with that. When I'm at the bar , I dont want to be treated cooly. Bring in someone who is nice and jovial who makes me want to stay.

I had lunch at The Hamilton Kitchen at the Alfond Inn in Winter Park today for a work gathering, and it delivered a solid experience. The space itself is impressive: big table, great energy, and a staff that actually pays attention. Service was smooth and courteous despite the size of our group, which is always a good sign. For my main lineup, I started with the avocado toast, and this was easily one of the standouts. Thick, hearty wheat bread topped with rich avocado, Maldon sea salt, sweet peppers, and corn. Visually sharp, genuinely delicious, and surprisingly balanced. The side Caesar didn't quite match the enthusiasm. Iceberg with bits of romaine, anchovy-forward dressing (a win), but it leaned a bit sad with crumb-style croutons and barely any parmesan. Edible, not memorable. The steak frites brought me back. Fries were terrific--crispy, truffled just right. The steak sat on a bed of arugula with chimichurri that had good character but could've used a little more salt to really wake it up. Still, it was cooked to temp and enjoyable. Dessert was the bread pudding, and that one hit the mark. Warm, comforting, dressed with a cream sauce and a berry compote, with fresh fruit on top. Easily my favorite part of the meal. All in, I'd give The Alfond Inn a 7/10. I'd return, especially for that avocado toast and bread pudding. The only real downside is the parking and traffic near Rollins--it gets congested fast around rush hour, which takes a bit of shine off the experience. But I'll be back.

Magical Dining didn't disappoint. And the $30 bottle of Decoy Cabernet was a nice bonus. The food was prepared perfectly and hot. Service was friendly and the atmosphere can't be beat.

Eater Brunch was at Hamilton's Kitchen this year. It's located in downtown Winter Park on the campus of Rollins College, which is a gorgeous area. We made a reservation well in advance but to our surprise, it wasn't overly busy. For an appetizer, we had the breakfast breads to share. Another individual ordered a separate appetizer, and it arrived well before the breads. Our server forgot and we had to remind him. Once they finally arrived, they were delicious. For entrees, 3 of us had the salmon and enjoyed it. The Halmet was also popular, as well as the Cobb salad with grilled chicken. The food was all plated beautifully. For the price and experience, the service could have been much better overall. But the food was delicious.

Yum. We had a great meal here recently. We started with a Burrata and Fig Salad, Brussel Sprouts and Beet Salad, and Buttery Cornbread. Next came an exceptional Sauteed Faroe Islands Salmon with a great Succotash (with a bit of Okra). The fish was crispy and cooked just right - still moist inside. My friend had what they called an America Peking Duck. They also called it a Duck Breast Confit. I don't understand the choices of names, but my friend thought it was delicious. Then we split a huge bowl of the McCallan 12 Yr Butterscotch Pot De Creme with large chunks of Toffee. So good. Brian was very good at service. We'll be back.

This restaurant is always beautiful on the inside. It has such a warm, inviting atmosphere. The Magical Dining menu is unbeatable in both value and variety. I started with the Caesar salad, which was fresh and well-balanced. For the main course, I had the salmon with corn succotash. It was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Dessert was the butterscotch pudding, rich and satisfying without being too heavy. Service was attentive throughout the meal, making the whole experience even better. I always recommend this place! It is consistently excellent.

Magical Dining was excellent. 5 star experience from beginning to end. The drinks are well made. Recommend the Park Ave Pearl and the Espresso Martini The live music and complimentary valet service are also a nice bonus.

An oldie but a goodie. Came in for brunch and our waitress, Mrs. Sarah, delivered great service! Our bottle of champagne was divine, and the food was fresh and cooked well. I'll be back soon. Didn't get a picture of it, but the French toast that I shared with my brunch mate was fantastic. I'm not typically a French toast fanatic, but I'll come back for more if they keep it up.

Brunch Review 2026!…read more It's a Saturday in late April 2026 and the Orlando Magic are taking on the #1 rated Detroit Pistons! My brother and I deliberate days before on meeting up and with little hesitation, we opted for the Ravenous Pig! Securing a table reservation we instead opted to sit on the pub side where the TVs are. Soon after sitting down, we were greeted by Christina who was our server for the afternoon! Now this is Brunch Mode at the Ravenous Pig with a brunch style menu and beautiful rays on Sunshine which can feel quite different if you're used to having meals or drinks here for dinner where it can be quite busier and a different vibe! Today's visit was comfortable in the pub, lite in the dining room floor and nearly full outside in the beer garden. I settled in with the current version of the Gin and Jam! It tends to change as products become available with the underlying truth being a lite and refreshing cocktail to start with. This version is well done overall! Food wise we started with the Croquettes which had a sausage in them which brought good flavor paired with the crunchy exterior and white sauce on the plate resulted in an appetizing dish. Continuing on, the Sparkling Tea on menu is fantastic! As a side beverage or even mocktail form, it's a great Bev. We went with that and with the Magic game about to start, I went with the IT GOES TO ELEVEN cocktail! Boozy, Bright and Veracious! With these drinks in hand, we decided to move forward with more food and after consulting with Christina, we went with the Huckleberry pancake and the miso butter ribs. Without a doubt, the Huckleberry pancake was the standout star of the two dishes! A light pancake with great flavor and depth that doesn't fill you up but is a great sweeter dish that I can see Incorporated with a more savory brunch item like bacon and eggs as an example. Overall a great time for brunch! Shout out to Brian, Costa (the GOAT) and Scott for keeping it real and just being great individuals overall!

The snapper collar tacos were the star of the show. Easily enough to share between two people, with fresh fish and really good homemade corn tortillas. The fish of the day was also excellent and the fresh ciabatta with garlic butter was hard to stop eating. The cauliflower appetizer missed the mark a bit for me, the pieces were a little too big and came out slightly undercooked. The chicken salad was just alright, nothing bad but nothing memorable either. Parking can be a little tough in the area, but the complimentary valet makes it much easier. I love that they have a quicker option out back with the beer garden, you can't go wrong!

The interior kinda has a hipster-rustic vibe but with more comfortable chairs. Prices seemed reasonable. Service seemed a bit overwheled but again, I think the massive event letting out had something to do with that. I got a cheese board, truffled fries, fried chicken caviar, and a deviled affogato for dessert. My date for the creste di gallo and the olive oil citrus cake. Everything was was very good, with the standout being the fries; I know that truffle essence flavor isn't for everyone but it worked really well for me in the fry sauce. My dates pasta was also very good, the pesto sauce was zesty and complimented it well. And I really like the olive oil cake with mascarpone, super light and perfectly sweet. The very minor issues were that the fried chicken was pretty deeply fried and way harder than expected, which I don't mind but may not be your thing. Devil's food cake at the bottom of the affogato was also not as sweet as I would have liked. Overall a really enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend.

Southern comfort food as a general rule just doesn't sit well with me anymore and I'm going to be very transparent and bare my soul a little bit here but here goes . . . Ever since being on GLP1's, I've developed a really complicated relationship with comfort food. Foods that are rich, buttery, creamy or fatty now hit me completely differently than they used to. It's almost like my body immediately goes into shutdown mode afterwards. I feel heavy, exhausted and like I've instantly ballooned even if the portions themselves aren't massive. For the longest time I honestly thought it was simply the richness of the food itself but now I realize it's because my digestion just can't process heavier comfort foods the same way anymore. Suddenly... it all makes sense. The food itself here is VERY good. Properly seasoned, well prepared, beautifully presented... absolutely no complaints there whatsoever. I simply have to become more mindful and strategic now with my menu selections no matter WHERE I dine. I chose the Creekstone Farm's NY Strip with the fabulous bone marrow which I KNOW is supposed to be incredibly nutrient rich and good for you... but honestly... it just about put me under afterwards. This dinner happened thanks to Ronnald M. and his sister Teris and it was our pre-opera dinner outing before seeing the fabulous Merry Widow at the Dr. Phillips Center. The Monroe is honestly a very good pre-concert restaurant choice because of both the atmosphere and location... I'm just personally learning that this new GLP1 reality means I can't approach menus the way I used to anymore.

The hostess seemed stressful, without any smiles, she took away 2 out 4 silverware and plate sets on our table for a party of 3. 12 minutes went by. The crowded dining room had 2 servers. A booth of 6 next to us were waiting for their drinks patiently. I finally got up and let the hostess know that nobody stopped by. She said someone would be with us soon. About 4.minutes later, a lady stopped, said sorry, and took our drink orders, a Pineapple Sugar, a Macha Mojito, and a glass of Napa Valley Chardonnay. She also brought us 3 glasses of water. More servers started coming. Finally, Mark introduced himself, took our food orders. The food was delicious. We shared the Steamed Clams and Brie and Petal Honey. They were so good that we had to ask Mark fir extra crispy bread slides. For entrees, my wife had the Brussel Salad with Anchovy, and she loved it. My son had the Pork Chop while I tried the Crab Stuffed Salson. Excellent food and temperature. We were quite full for desserts, but Mark insisted, so we decided to order a Humingbird Cake and was informed that ithere was no more. Then we took the today's special, which was a strawberry pudding. It took 15 minutes to get the dessert with 3 spoons because, according yo Mark, they made a new patch. In my own opinion, this operation was not well prepared for a such busy Saturday on one of the busiest events. We saw the manager being the server assistant delivering food for his servers, while he was super friendly, and we and the servers appreciated him, he should have led his crew. For lack of leadership, I took away one star though Nark saved our dining experience. We plan to be back another time not during the chaotic holidays to see the real beauty of The Pinery.
