This place is a little hidden gem in a random strip mall. I was on an epic day of thrifting with my mom, and so at one of our stops we yelped a lunch option nearby. We both love Mediterranean food, and the reviews were great, so we stopped in. The chef makes everything to order, and she evidentially is the former owner, who sold her shop in order to spend more time with grandkids. She's lovely! As we waited for our food there were a few others who came in and seemed to be regulars who knew how good this place is. I got chicken shawarma deluxe, and it was perfect. No notes! My mom got the vegetarian platter and specifically raved about the falafel- they were like adorable little donuts and really tasty. I would highly recommend this place! I go to the gym right next to this restaurant and I've seen this place for over a year now. It's in the shopping center next to Planet Fitness and Outback. How dare I take that long to try it. Although, I went in just as they were closing, they were super accommodating and patient as I decided what to get. I had the Lamb Gyro Platter, it comes with a salad, hummus and tzatziki sauce. Mona is a sweetheart and was very welcoming and you can tell she puts a lot of care into this place. That being said, I would rate the food here good, not great. I may be wrong but the rice that came with the meal seemed like one of those boxed mixes and maybe not as authentic as what I've had in the past. The chicken kabobs were great and the hummus is very tasty. The soda machine was down the day we were there and they had limited options for drinks so we had to walk over to the Papa John's a couple doors down to spend $3 a pop on a couple diet sodas. Also, the menu is really off putting because of all the items that are crossed out with sharpie or revised pricing written over what was originally in the menu. When you walk in and see that on top of the soda machine being out of order it makes you wonder about the quality you are receiving. I gave it a four because I think Mona is putting decent, mostly authentic food out, but had the food been any less the stars would have dropped quite a bit based off of what we experienced. read more

Delicious! I was in for lunch with 2 picky teens. Lamb gyros were a hit for both, one said they had the best fries. I had the small Greek salad along with baba ghannouj and pita. The baba ghannouij was the best in the area and that's tough competition. The owners were so nice and gave me the secret to their baba ghannouij! Everything was really good, especially the chicken. The iced tea is terrible though, I was hoping for a delicious fresh brewed tea, and it was weak and watered down. The owners are really nice. A late lunch and a very empty stomach, we stumbled upon Mona pita. And got to meet Mona herself, who is absolutely so kind and wonderful. We were not sure what to order, so I asked her for her favorite recommendations. We got to try the lamb platter, and the chicken kebab platter. We also got a side of falafel, and of course for dessert... Baklava. The chicken was juicy and tender and flavorful. It came with a great side of yellow rice, and a Greek style salad. Pita and hummus also! A great value for a nice platter of food. The lamb was very delicious, same sides on that platter as well. The favorite was the Tahina yogurt dip that comes with the falafel. I love the food from here! I have only ever gotten delivery or takeout from here, but every time I love what I get. I normally get the lamb platter and that is delicious every time. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The hummus was really good. Some of the best I have had in the area. The pita was soft and warm. Mona Pita was a gem to find after my appointment yesterday. It is tucked in a down on its luck strip mall. I was warmly greeted as I walked in by the sweetest lady who took my order. The menu was small, but had a good variety of entrees, salads, and appetizers. I got the chicken kabob that came with two skewers of grilled chicken, yellow rice, hummus, and a salad. The food was delicious, lightly seasoned and not super salty. I was a little sad about the portion size compared to the cost. For the size I was expecting a little more food. The restrooms are old and worn, but clean. The food on the other hand is great. I have eaten here numerous times. The quality is consistent and the taste is good. I tried this place a few years ago when they first opened and was highly disappointed in their beef kabob platter because of the seasoning they use for their steaks, but I was just wondering if the tangy taste was because it was old meat. Fast forward to over 5 years later (during COVID) I gave it another try based off tons of good reviews. I ordered the same beef kabob platter, chicken gyro and chicken shawarma lunch combos. All 3 of us were quite disappointed in our food. Even the fries we got with the gyro were soggy. There were no other customers at the time I got my takeout order so I had higher expectations that they would've did better in making our meals and I live near by so it didn't take me long to pick up the order soon after I called it in. The staff were very friendly, but I had to ask if my combos came with a drink --which I knew they did but they had walked away after ringing me up so I had to wait for them to come back. I am not very fond of that type of service when they don't wait on you to make sure you have everything before you leave. I wish I could recommend this place, but unfortunately I would probably never come back myself. read more

So last night none of the adults in my house were up for cooking. This wasn't too far from home and the reviews were good. The owners were super friendly. My son no sooner than he gets his drink spills half of it. I am grabbing napkins and the owner hands me a super absorbent towel. I could have hugged her. They made the sandwiches fresh and they were delicious. The sides were no as great, but I owe this to us being on of the last customers. Hoping to get back earlier in the day for our next visit.
