First off, they let you sample ALL the proteins Next if your new they will just create a bowl for you with your permission Lastly ALL the proteins were phenomenal like you really can't go wrong but that seasoned beef I promise you, I'm smuggling some back next trip! I got the jerk chicken, DELIGHTFUL Even their rice is good for NO reason But the beef. The seasoning, ok I'm in love but again all the proteins were great there's really no bad choice I let the young women just create a bowl for me and the flavors CHEFS KISS They were out of falafel which booo! Churros were FANTASTIC! Yes yes worth the drive!

I really enjoyed this place. The workers are really nice and let you try the different meat options. I tried the sumac chicken and the seasoned beef - both were great. Toppings seemed very fresh. My bowl with the sumac chicken came out to $16 and was enough for two meals

Was just nearby and found this place for lunch. Not much seating indoors but they had a lot of picnic tables outside. They let me tried all the meats before making my choice. Basically a halal guys version of chipotle. I ordered a rice and a salad bowl the lamb with white and chipotle pepper sauce. So good. I got my son the tenders and fries and fries are battered fries, my favorite. Staff were incredibly nice and helpful.

I got the Musakhan chicken burrito and it was delicious! I ate it all in one sitting cause it was that good lol. Shoutout to Kareem for serving me! Oh and thanks for the cheese crust suggestion, it definitely makes the burrito much tastier!

Jerk chicken, arugula, pico de gallo, white sauce, and green sauce

Decided to give the place a try, this was bomb af !!!! The flavors literally are amazing and everything is fresh. Everyone was really nice as well and the restaurant was kept nice and clean :)

TLDR: Lamb gyro is so good and try the churros Really happy to have Halal Papi in Allen. From the moment we walked in to when we walked out, the experience was good. They really take care of you and make sure you have a good experience. Solid New York-style halal with big flavors: all meat selections and the rice are well-seasoned, the lamb gyro was my personal favorite, and everything tastes fresh. Even the fries were on point. They also have a great spicy sauce, so I definitely recommend asking for it if you like heat. It really brings the bowl together. Service was smooth and the wait wasn't long at all. Overall, I'm impressed and will definitely be back. The churros were a nice finish, and I would recommend getting that too! One of the better NY-style halal spots in the Dallas area.

Very fresh and very seasoned food! Everything was delicious! The guys working were very helpful and explained all our options and offered to let us try the meat before ordering. There's limited seating but the food was packaged well and made it the short trip home without getting sloshed around. 10/10 will definitely be back to try more combinations!

I've been wanting to try this place out for a while but I only go by it on mondays when they're not open. Well today I happened to be nearby and decided to drop in. I'm a vegetarian and I'm always looking for nice vegetarian friendly places to try out. I was initially gonna get the falafel pita sandwich which is a staple for me at middle eastern restaurants until I saw that I could put the falafel in a number of different options including on rice, on loaded fries or even in a quesadilla. I settled on a falafel burrito cause it sounded eclectic to me. They piled this thing full of all the veggies I wanted and some tahini and hot sauce. For 14 bucks it was a pretty large, solid amount of food. But when I got home and actually bit into it I was blown away by how fresh and flavorful the veggies and rice were. It was a kaleidoscope of tastes and sensations as I attempted to take down this bad boy, while gobs of it fell out onto the to go container. I proceeded to scoop those all up as well, leaving nothing behind. I wouldn't say that it's a particularly good dining experience if you're looking for a place to sit in and eat at, but the food was outrageously good and worth taking home to enjoy.

Everything we had was delicious! They have several meat options - all unique and highly flavorful. Incredible value - while portions are shrinking everyday this place stands out for full bowls. Definitely get any sauce they suggest to you. It's special to have this level of quality in a convenience food. Staff were friendly and offered samples of all the meat options - definitely take the offer. Limited seating, but fun mural inside.

We will be back! Wow! We went in for lamb gyros and fries (and rice). Everything was super delicious, and we loved that everything was easily customizable. The staff were great about making recommendations when I asked. The fries are battered, so they are SUPER crispy. I loved the mural on the wall - I love when restaurants use local artists. We also got to chat with the owner and hear about how they got started. I'll be back!

here's what you need to know: this place has great meat, great carb, sauce, veg options, and does not skimp on portions at ALL. the rest should be self explanatory. visited for the first time with my family for new years eve and they took great care of us. really appreciate the walk through of the menu and the sampler to figure out what meat(s) i wanted. i ended up rolling with a 2 meat bowl, house chicken & jerk chicken. this jerk chicken is legit. absolutely love it and would highly recommend. all in all, you customize your bowl similarly to chipotle or cava and they're putting those big names to shame for the values and flavors the deliver here. also, note that technically this place could be considered an NYC halal + mexican? fusion (the also offer taco and quesadilla options with their meats) will definitely be coming back, can't recommend enough. quick touch on ambiance, there's 4 indoor seats and 2 outdoor tables, so you might wanna take out if it's a busy day, but the place is clean and nice inside, w upbeat music and fun art. overall: 10/10 price: 10/10 (more the chipotle but you get some great servings of meat and other premium items) l taste: 10/10 i'm gonna be a regular here.

Saw this place on my way to a taqueria. Decided to give it a try. I am sure happy I did. Just picture Chipotle but with Halal food. Build your own rice bowl, tacos or burrito. The meat options are great and the spices are on point. Everything was fresh and super tasty. I will be back regularly I'm sure. P.S. very generous with their meats. And they will give you a sampler of all the meats if you haven't been before.

Decided to try this NEW spot in Allen and it did not disappoint!!!! Amaazing flavors combined together and it's an explosion of goodness in your mouth. Their sauces are all good, the meat choices are incredible and most of all not dry compared to other Halal bowl places I've been. The Jerk chicken is wonderful and flavorful as well. Will definitely come back and this will be a staple for quick lunch or dinner for us! The two guys who I assume are the owners are very nice and hands on. I bought some of their seasoned fries and they gave me this nice dip with it and oh my gosh it tastes so good. Compliments the saltiness of the fry. The ambiance is nice and very hip that gives you that chipotle vibe. I love how you can go here if you want a more flavorful rice bowl and you can also customize what goes in your bowl. 5 stars doesn't do this place justice. The food was delicious and the customer service was top notch. If you're looking for something fresh but still packed with flavor, this spot is such a win. It gives a cool NYC fast-casual energy but with that build-your-bowl, Chipotle-style flow, which I love because you can really customize your meal exactly how you want it. Everything tasted super fresh, healthy, and well seasoned (not just thrown together for the aesthetic). The proteins were flavorful, the veggies crisp, and the sauces tied everything together perfectly. You can tell they actually care about quality here. What really stood out to me though was the staff. Everyone was friendly, patient, and actually knew the menu. They gave great suggestions on what paired well together, which made the whole experience even better. This is definitely one of those places you try once and already know you'll be back. A dream come true to have this close to my house! Went for the first time today, and it was at an hour between lunch and dinner time, so I didn't expect things to be fresh. But, everything was very clean, fresh, and beautiful! The staff are very friendly and let us try the different protein options. They were all so good that it was hard to choose. Every single item added to the bowl had so much flavor. They really put so much effort into the food they're serving. I hope they're super successful and stay around for a long time! read more

Was in Allen and had seen a recommendation for Hala Papi on FB so we popped in. Think Chipotle but with different proteins. I had the lamb gyro/house chicken loaded with veggies & sauces and it was fantastic. Wife loved hers too. Went back two days later and was just as pleased. Can't say enough...just go. 5 stars. read more

Food was very delicious sauces were tasty along with the variety of meats and extras. The service was top notch greeted as soon as we walked in he could tell it was our 1st time was very helpful in assisting us to decide on what we wanted to try. If I could give 10 Stars I would. These days, it is rare to find a place that is delicious, filling, and reasonably priced all at the same time. And on top of that, fresh ingredients that feel good to eat. 5++ stars!! So many options in terms of proteins and toppings. flavors were unique. Portions huge- both my husband and I had leftovers. Service was incredible. Everyone was patient because they know it's a new spot and with so many options you need time to think. They also serve ice cream- the brand is Hersheys (not affiliated with the normal Hershey)--I got graham cracker ice cream- 10/10. Went today for the first time and was very impressed by the service and the food. It was super easy to order and I really appreciated them allowing me to try their protein options before choosing one for my bowl. I ended up picking the house chicken and it was amazing! I'm gonna definitely need to have this at least once a week I've already planned to go back with friends. I used to love cava and was disappointed by their ongoing support for you know what, but this place beats them by a million. I had such a wonderful experience at Halal papi!! My sister, aunt and I wanted to grab a quick lunch so I decided we would try this place. Everything from the aesthetic to the food was seriously great. To me more important than the food, was the friendliness of the owners and how they were enthusiastic explaining how to order and the different options they offered! It's been a decade since I lived in NYC, but this lamb over rice brought me back. Lamb is perfectly cooked and seasoned. Rice is yellow and flavorful. The white sauce brought it all together. If you have that halal cart craving this is a good spot to get it. Staff member was friendly and explained how they worked. Will be back! read more

I went to halal papi for the first time on Monday. By Saturday I had gone 3 times. Over those 3 trips I have tried 4 meats and nearly every topping, sauce, and add-on available. Every single one is distinct and delicious. I can tell they put a ton a thought into everything they put out. The service is super friendly and welcoming. The dine in area is small but the portions are so large you will be taking out anyway! An allen gem that anyone will be happy to eat. I hope they are here for the next 200 years read more

Nothing but positive things to say about this place, the owner was very kind and helpful, gave us samples to try and helped us with the process. You can tell everything is fresh and of good quality. It's all right in front of you so there is nowhere to hide it. The restaurant is very clean and well kept which is also a bonus. Now on to the food. I had a pita and my wife had a bowl and both were absolutely delicious. Since it was our first time the owner let us mix meats so we could try a little of everything. It was all fantastic. I told the owner next time I'll have to get the churros and he just cooked one up for us on the spot. Absolutely will be getting one every time now. It was one of the best I have ever had. Can't recommend this place enough. It was fantastic for a quick, fresh, not too unhealthy meal. read more

The floors are dirty. Ugh. Crumbs all over the floor and it's sticky. I think most folks use Uber Eats. That's why they don't have a standard inside. Usually, kids, and I mean kids 16 and younger are running the counter and kitchen. The bottles are never wiped down. Caked on food on ketchup, green sauce, and red sauce bottles. Thus far I've not gotten sick. They don't speak English, but then I don't speak Spanish. So it's a wash! I'll probably go back. And pray every time I don't get sick. Thus far I've dodged the bullet! I'd like to support a small business. However, the prices are stupid crazy! Salsa and chips are $5.50. Refills are $1 each time for salsa. Pay up front too. Then they serve you. Don't expect refills either you have to pay first. ( I still leave a tip, but probably shouldn't). Food is always decent! Just know when eating in, it's not up to expectations as a consumer. Make your own judgments. Sticking to Uber eats may be your best bet! That way you don't see what really goes on inside this establishment. June-September 2024
