When my high school students want Boba, they will get boba. I am so grateful this boba shop was open before noon so I could make it on time for our last wellness activity of the school year. The owner was incredibly nice and the boba drinks were awesome. All of my students loved them. Will be back for sure :)

My friend and I came here to get some milk tea to drink. It was easy to find street parking, and they're located at a corner. When we came in, we were immediately greeted. We looked at the menu and made the order there (there are kiosks). We waited at the seating in the front, and the drinks were brought to us. We got the Hokkaido Milk Tea and Hot Cocoa Milk Tea. They were very good drinks.

Such a nice kind-hearted soul was the Owner. He had patience for my grandkids as they wondered OUT LOUD what they should get. They ended up with the Taro Smoothie and proclaimed it was the best Boba ever! From the few sips I had it was pretty tasty. There is seating inside with couches and I did see some people ordering actual food (I believe) parking is street parking. Respectfully Reviewed.

The reviews don't lie! So happy I gave this place a try. It's close to PCC too. Although I'm not a student there, I do work close by. This place is so cozy and welcoming. Tommy's energy is through the roof and immediately was a good vibe :D I got a mango smoothie with boba. The boba is a pretty decent size and tastes great. Will be coming back!

Amazing little spot right by Pasadena City college. Calm music when you enter and an enthusiastic Taiwanese owner! We tried the grapefruit lychee fruit tea with lychee and the strawberry smoothie with boba. We also tried the black sesame crunches--yummy! Parking a bit tight--just 2 parking spots in front but if you are at PCC you can easily walk over. We even got a free cell phone holder for the car!! Check it out.

Great service, calming vibe inside. There is a variety of drinks and toppings without being overwhelming. The owner greeted my daughter and I warmly. It was our first time here but her made us feel like we were already regulars. Drinks were flavorful and delivered exactly as requested as I do not like too much ice or sweetness in my drink. What an ABSOLUTE GEM of a tea/boba/coffee shop in Pasadena! Walking in, the smell of brewed tea and warm sugar just hugs you. Unassuming space, but such a warm and friendly welcome from the owner, Tommy. He exudes such enthusiasm and pride in his products that it is contagious. I ordered the HaiCha Milk Tea 50% sweet with boba, and truly, it's quite perfect. This drink is made with a blend of black and oolong teas. The tea flavor comes through the milk extremely well. The boba are perfectly chewy, bouncy, and this may sound odd, but round and slippery. You would think that all boba are this way but no. We have all had boba where the surface is sticky or squished with flat sides--like eating little gummy dodecahedrons. Ugh. HaiCha's boba are perfectly bouncy, slippery spheres, which is exactly how they should be. Tommy the owner is Taiwanese and imports all of his tea and boba from Taiwan. He brews all of his teas daily and of course, cooks the boba daily. He also makes these delicious Taiwanese snacks: coconut crunchy and sesame crunchy. Slightly sweet and full for nutty goodness! They definitely feed one's nostalgia for Taiwan. There are quite a few boba shops in the Pasadena area, and I have tried many of them. So far, HaiCha is clearly the winner when it comes to authentic Taiwanese tea and boba. It helps that the owner's love and belief in the product is so genuine. FYI: This shop opens surprisingly early, at 8:30am, every day. Apparently, there are coffee drinkers that come in for their morning Joe before work or class. I forgot to ask him when boba is ready everyday. Will ask next time!

Thiiiiiiiiiiis sweet man...we pulled up 8 minutes to close and he was *in* his car trying to go home and STOPPED his car to ask us to wait so he could come back and open up just for us OMG... He wouldn't take no for an answer, so we ordered a Mango Smoothie and a HaiCha Milk Tea (25% sweet). They really care about their customers here! As for the smoothie...these are SO much fun! Piled high like a smoothie tower. Basically two smoothies in one! A steal for the price, really. The mango flavor was nice, the sweetness level was good and not overwhelming, even at 100%. The boba are well cooked, but could use more flavor & sweetness of their own. I would try the strawberry one next time. The HaiCha Milk Tea was a great level of sweet for me at 25% (my usual order anywhere) and had a nice light tea flavor. I would try other tea flavors next time, as they had several that looked good, as well as some.black sesame crunch treats that looks snackable! I would come back here for the fun of the smoothie, especially with friends! Since he was closing, we walked across the street to enjoy our drinks in the shade outside the college and it was delightful. This is a fabulous location.

Solid Boba store in Pasadena that's easy to miss! We were welcomed right after walking in. I ordered the Haicha Black Tea and tried the Jasmine Green Tea with a friend. Black tea could be a little bit stronger, but it tasted great! It wasn't too sweet even though we ordered 100% sweetness by accident. I'm not sure if the tapioca was stored in a warm container (like instant pot) but I felt it could use more time soaking in warm honey or something like that. I think the front could do away with the small table decor and the back area could use some better warm lighting. read more

Pasadena doesn't sleep on their cuisine game, but neither does it sleep on their cafes. HaiCha is a wonderful shop tucked away in a small corner nearby a school. I would love nothing more to visit again with my friend, but unfortunately, we both were not from the area. So here I am writing this review also as a reminder to stop by next time me and someone else are in Pasadena again! The interior is probably some of the best I've seen in a milk tea cafe. On top of that, the owner does his best to make sure you are welcome-- he's the only one handling the store, so props to him! The cafe acquaints you with a homely and antique decor, and it's nothing like your typical modern milk tea shop. It's quiet and the perfect place to relax or do work. On top of that, the drinks are probably some of the best milk tea I've had. Me and my friend both got the HaiCha signature drink. There was more flavor packed within the tea, and less sugar bombs you'd find in a bigger chain milk place. You can tell the owner really knows what he's doing making the drinks. read more

Came here a few months ago and I must say the reviews really don't lie. I ordered Thai milk tea and taro slush and it did not disappoint. I'm usually very picky when it comes to taro but the taro here is sooo good. It's very authentic and true to its flavor. The owner here is very kind and took his time to make sure our order was correct. He puts a lot of passion when making these drinks which makes it extra good and special. You can tell he enjoys what he does and he takes the time to have a nice conversation with the customers. The ambiance of this place reminds me of a mom and pop shop which I love the most. There are many options for boba and tea drinks; you can order in person or using the touch screen. I enjoyed the taro smoothie with brown sugar boba. Tommy is so friendly; he sincerely aims to exceed customer expectations. On our visit we received multiples gifts of phone chargers and hand sanitizer. Completely unexpected, and 100 percent appreciated. There's ample street parking right out front, making the entire experience even better. Owner has very peaceful music that is great for studying, cozy decor, and free wifi for customers. He's a very kind older gentleman who offers teas for low prices and has promotions for customers buying as well. Teas are great! I got the Haicha milk tea and it's not too sweet in the best way possible. I also tasted some of the lychee fruit tea and it's very refreshing and full of flavor! Put this boba shop on your list if not for the wonderful drinks then for the service. We came in to get some drinks for the superbowl and we met the generous owner! Inside is a nice atmosphere with some small couches in a cafe style shop with gentle music. Upon walking in, Tommy energetically welcomed us and offered us some promotional gifts for visiting his shop and remembered our names. Boba tea is popular in this part of town but the service here sets Hai Cha apart from everyone else. When you get here parking can be a challenge but trust me the service alone is worth it. For the drinks; they're great! They have a Hai Cha special (a black tea blend) which we really enjoyed. I also ordered a taro milk tea, a hokaido milk tea, and a mango and peach tea. All made by the owner. More shops should be like Tommy's. read more

My husband and I are just visiting town and were craving boba, so we did a quick Google search and found this shop--and we are so glad we did We ordered the coconut smoothie and mango smoothie, both with brown sugar boba at 50% sweetness. They were perfectly balanced and super refreshing. The brown sugar boba had a great texture and flavor that complemented both drinks really well. We also tried the house-made black sesame crunch, which was excellent--crispy, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Honestly, we should've picked up another bag to take back home! First time visiting, they just opened in June. The owner was super friendly & their mango peach green tea was very good. It's located across the street from PCC, they have seating in the front and back of the shop & there's street parking nearby. The little place is unassuming but when you walk in you are teleported to a fun but relaxing atmosphere where you are treated like family. Service is amazing and the drinks are top shelf. I've been slowly working through the boba shops in Pasadena and stumbled across this one across from PCC. Admittedly, I'm a sucker for cute logos and this one is the cutest with a seal on it, so in I went. The owner is incredibly warm and friendly and my boyfriend and I some suggestions when we didn't know what to order. I got the signature milk tea and it turned out to be a great choice! The boba was bouncy and chewy and the milk tea itself was nice and smooth. The space is cozy (though maybe a little dark on a cloudy day), but it's a really nice place to unwind. I think it'd be even more perfect in winter with a hot drink. Went here with a friend for the first time this afternoon to try out new Boba places, and this spot did not disappoint. When I tell you this is an absolute gem of I find I am not exaggerating, the drinks were amazing, and the service was exceptional. Unlike any service you will find at any fancy 5 star restaurant. I haven't had boba for a while and since I was still around the campus, I decided to get some boba and I saw this place on yelp. This place is a really chill place where you can work, relax, or hang out with friends and family. The owner was really kind to give me a gift after ordering. Superrrr nice owner!!! I ordered the roasted oolong milk tea and taro smoothie and he gave me extra and adjusted the sweetness to my liking . He also included a free gift for new customers even before I ordered so it was really sweet and very hospitable. 10/10 service, vibes, and drinks in general. Love this boba shop! Ordering is super easy with their self-service kiosk... perfect for customizing without feeling rushed. I decided to stop by this boba shop after picking up some stationery supplies nearby. As soon as I walked in, the shop owner warmly greeted me and helped me with my order. I was looking for a new boba spot in Pasadena and came across this cute little shop. If you drive by too fast, you may miss it! My kids ordered the strawberry black tea with boba and said it was the best they've ever had! The boba was super fresh and chewy and the owner was really sweet. We'll definitely be back. read more
