The food here was excellent! It's definitely pricier but we felt it was worth the cost with the generous portion sizes and quality. The service was excellent. They were checking in and clearing plates and timing things perfectly. We also got to sit at the chef counter and that was delightful! The vibes were really good - classy and modern aesthetic but still a relaxed and warm atmosphere. We would definitely come back and get more pasta!

Delicious! Everything we had was special, a new unique flavor but still familiar. All the flavors blended together and melded incredibly well. My son and I came here and are definitely looking to return soon! I'm just sad I was too full for their desserts...I think it was bread flavored ice cream or something and supposedly it's a trip. The place is small, cozy, upscale-rustic. The server was friendly, explained the dishes, and had recommendations when we asked. He told us the story about the desserts and aaaaaalmost won us over.

Shrimp and polenta

Came here for my boyfriend's birthday recently and we tried the tasting menu ($89/person + 22% automatic gratuity). FOOD: For the price, I think this tasting menu is a good deal. We got 4 appetizers, a pasta, an entree, and dessert. My fav items were the shrimp in polenta (shrimp was crispy without seemingly any breading, perfectly cooked and flavored) and the lamb skewers (well seasoned and cooked. Big fan of lamb in general). I also liked the deviled egg on kimchi, though it didn't taste like kimchi very much. The salad had too much dressing unfortunately and the crostini was interesting. We got a few drinks but my main impression is that they are strong! SERVICE Service here was so great and friendly. I only saw 2 front of house and 1 back of house so it's a small place. The front of house also bartend and make the drinks. I do wish the front of house explained the dishes a little more when they brought out the food. They told us the name of the dishes but as I was eating I realized it would've been nice to get a better idea of what was in it exactly, or halfway through I'd think "wait what else is in this?" AMBIANCE Tastefully decorated, small, and intimate. It was not busy when we came at all, with only up to 4 other tables having diners. I think this allowed the staff to focus on each table a little better without being overwhelmed. Overall had a good time. I admittedly wasn't blown out of the water but for $89/person for a fancier meal, I would say this is priced right for what you get (food, service, and ambiance included).

Salad, Grilled Asparagus, Seared Tombo

I booked this place as a birthday dinner for a friend and I had never been before. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience and this was notably one of the better meals we've ever shared together. When we first arrived we were given the option of either the chef's counter or a table. I thought the chef's counter was a unique experience but for the night we opted for a table near the window. The space is intimate and even though there weren't many people there when we first got there, it still gave a warm and cozy vibe (quickly filled up though). The week of my friend's birthday they were only doing Seattle Restaurant Week, which I hadn't realized at first but the menu was amazing regardless. The staff was very attentive to us, constantly checking in on us and making any adjustments as needed. They thoughtfully walked us through our choices and when the food arrived. First we started with appetizers which I thought it was nice that you get to try all them and didn't have to choose one. The salad and asparagus is what you would expect, but they were perfectly done and not overly complex. The stand out was the Seared Tombo, the flavors of this dish were balanced and the fish was clearly very fresh! For our main we both got the halibut option, which came with a side of sunchokes. We had never had sunchokes before but were immediately in love (the fish was cooked to perfection too) but I loved the introduction of not so common ingredient. I thought it was a fun play on traditional "potatoes" almost. I'm glad we were able to try both of the desserts. My favorite was the tiramisu (I always love tiramisu). The carrot cake was more on the dryer side (almost like a cornbread), which isn't my preference but I enjoyed the flavors. Overall, really enjoyed this place and would definitely come back!

This place is definitely top 5 fav place for my husband!!he wouldn't stop mentioning about this place and how he missed their spaghetti!! We went around 5 pm right when they opened it was not busy, but maybe it's better to make reservations on weekends or dinner time!! We got pasta and I really love the red sauce one more than mine. Mine is pretty good too but it's just not as good as the red sauce one. The whole restaurant is sooo pretty and perfect for date night or girls night! It's a cute hidden gem in Fremont area

Haerfest is the perfect date restaurant for a quiet romantic night with delicious, authentic Italian food. My boyfriend and I decided to come here for a last minute date on a Sunday and were surprised that we were easily able to make reservations for 7pm. The restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived which was so surprising because it had such a cute aesthetic and the food was absolutely delicious. We were both super hungry so we skipped appetisers and went straight for the pasta and it didn't disappoint. The Tonnarelli was what both of us were eyeing and it delivered in every way, from the freshness of the tomato to the perfect consistency of the sauce. We also decided to be adventurous and try the Ricotta Gnocchi despite the fact that both of us are not huge fans of ricotta, me especially. I loved the base of the paste and the flavours were great, I think I just got bored of the dense texture of the ricotta after the first few bites. Our server was super friendly and recommended me an incredible white wine to go with dinner that really cut the acidity of the pasta. The sauces being to tangy and acidic was my boyfriend's only complaint about the food, but he was the one driving. I really loved the pasta here and can't wait to come back and try more of the dishes on the menu!

Pork Shoulder

I had high expectations for this place as I love many of the GH restaurants. However, I was unimpressed by our meal that we had here. Service was perfect; ambience was lovely -- classy, yet not pretentious, warm and inviting. It was the food that was underwhelming. We got bread service and Waygu tartare to start. The honey butter go the bread was divine! That touch of sweetness with the butter was scrumptious! The tartare was a tad too onion-y and the chips that was served with it was soooooo salty! Almost inedible. For our mains, we got the Rigatoni and the Pork shoulder, which were nothing memorable. The pasta itself was cooked perfectly, but the flavors were just okay. The rigatoni was made with Njuda, which I felt was barely there. The pork chop was very fatty, but had good flavors and was cooked perfectly. It was served with these giant beans, which had lackluster flavors. I wish it came with some sort of salad or a nice acid touch somewhere, but it just felt a bit heavy and one-note. Overall, it was just okay. I appreciate the excellent service, though.

Was interested in their restaurant week menu, so came in for dinner. The place itself is cozy and pretty intimate. I liked their small open kitchen where you can see people plating, cooking, and prepping dessert. Service throughout the meal was kinda slow, but maybe to be expected as it seemed like there were only 5 people running the entire restaurant, kitchen included. Appetizers! Salad was light and refreshing, nothing crazy. Smoked whitefish had a nice smoky flavor, and the crostini was so crispy I could barely hear myself think while biting it haha. I really like the sauce on the broccolini, but some parts of it were very tough. Main! I had the salmon and it was so good. The skin was super crispy, the salmon itself was perfectly cooked and tender, and the squash and little side of vegetables added a good balance of sweetness and acidity to the bite. Dessert! I got the olive oil cake which was sadly on the drier side. I did enjoy the fresh whipped cream and the citrus + pistachio that was on top. Overall, some really solid food but also some small things that were a little disappointing.

Sit at the bar for happy hour

Boyfriend lives around the corner and we've been wanting to try for forever. Went in for the late night happy hour and left even happier :) At the bar from 9-10, you can get pasta and garlic bread with a glass of wine for $25. We had the Campanelle and tonnareli - both were amazing. I usually like a white sauce but was super impressed by both! We also anticipated small portion sizes for such a good happy hour deal, but we both left very full. Not to mention the service was amazing- each thing that was put in front of us came with an explanation as well. 100% recommend and would love to come back! AMAZING date spot. Incredible Flavors Marred by Deceptive Billing Practices I am honestly torn writing this review because the culinary experience was a solid five stars, but the "business" side of the evening felt incredibly predatory. The Good: Food, Drinks, and Service The meal itself was flawless. The oysters were incredibly fresh, and the cocktails were some of the most well-balanced and creative drinks we've had in a long time. Our server was attentive, professional, and truly made our dinner feel special. It's clear that the chef and the floor staff are working at the top of their game. The Bad: The "Red Stamp" Deception Everything went downhill when the check arrived. We noticed a 22% service charge had already been added to the bill. However, the restaurant had placed a large red stamp directly over the fine-print disclosure at the bottom of the receipt. This made it nearly impossible to read the details regarding where that money actually goes. Because the text was obscured, my husband understood the disclosure to mean that the 22% fee does not go to the server. Not wanting to stiff our excellent waiter, he added another 20% tip on top of the already inflated total. We ended up paying a staggering amount for a few dishes and drinks - close to 500$ for a pretty small dinner for two. Final Verdict To the management: Forced service charges are already a point of contention for many diners, but making those charges deliberately difficult to see is downright sketchy. Using a stamp to mask the wording feels like a calculated move to trick customers into double-tipping. Note to potential diners: Check your bill with a literal magnifying glass. The food is wonderful, but the billing practices are designed to take advantage of your generosity. It's a shame, because we should have been talking about the delicious meal on the way home. Instead, the only thing we could discuss was how we felt deceived. We won't be returning until this "restaurant group" decides to prioritize transparency over trickery.

Repeat guest! Love to arrive by 6 for a quieter, less busy setting. The staff from the waiter, to the chef, to Ryan the GM -- always hospitable and great. We sat at the counter so we could enjoy the chefs cooking. So fascinating to see them operate a full restaurant with a small kitchen. We ordered the charred leeks (WOW amazing), mussels (I'm not typically a mussels fan but I really liked this dish), and two pasta dishes (couldn't enjoy thoroughly as we were too full by this point!). We ended the meal with the olive oil cake, which was so good. Love coming here, and bringing friends for their first time. One of my staples in Seattle. The staff makes it worth the visit!

Agnolotti and Tonnarelli
Sabrina P.

My husband and I came here on a Friday for happy hour after seeing their "$25 carbs & corks" happy hour special on their door. Note- you must sit at the bar to partake in happy hour from 5-6 and 9-10 PM daily! We both got the white sangria as our wine, and then I had the agnolotti (stuffed pasta with ricotta cheese and caramelized onions) with leeks and snap peas, while my husband got the tonnarelli with beef bolognese. Both were delicious- I loved the fresh veggies on the agnolotti and am a sucker for ricotta cheese! Every pasta for this happy hour special came with a thick slab of garlic bread that was easy to bite into and dip into the pasta sauce. Our server/bartender was attentive and helped give great recommendations on what to order, and ultimately the great service, clean aesthetic, and location near the 62 bus route will definitely have us coming back for more happy hours!

Cute place- great decor & great service! We got there early as we had an event so we had the place to ourselves until the dinner rush! I came in with no expectations and this will be a place I come back to when I'm in the area! Felt so clean and new! They have a pre fix menu but didn't love all the options so we started with the burrata - which was the style I love - crisp bread and the basics, but beautifully presented. Then we got 2 pastas- the traditional and the mussels- guys didn't care for mussels in general so we got that to ourselves! It was homemade pasta - light sauce and delicious! Fun drink list and we didn't get pics of the food but a few of inside!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I read about…read morethis place prior to our trip into Seattle. I tried for two weeks make reservations, with no luck. Finally a Monday night at 930 became available, I immediately grabbed it. They had a cancellation and actually called me see if I wanted an earlier reservation, which of course I jumped on that too. Appreciated they made the call and whoever cancelled. The ambiance gave old school and new school Italian vibes. The service from walking in to leaving was 5 star. Everyone was friendly. Our server was very attentive, and he was very thorough with explaining dishes and making recommendations. They started us off with complimentary rabbit pate on a crosstin with balsamic drizzle and fresh bread. The rabbit pate was very good. We started off with some cocktails, The paper plane, negroni, espresso martini and bello bandito. No complaints there. For food we tried the Insalata di cicoria - Chicory salad. It was topped with gorgonzola crumbles and pomegranate seeds. The salad was paired perfectly as the Chicory is on the bitter side. Next up was the Tajarin con burro E salvia, which was a fine hand cut egg yolk pasta with cultured butter and sage. I love you can order half or full plates. This pasta was velvety, and full of flavor. I normally do not like a thin pasta, but I loved this one! Risotto di mais was up next. This was a risotto with fresh corn and tomato butter, this was by far the best risotto I have ever had. We only ordered a half, but my next visit would be a full! The flavors all shined through. You could taste everything with each bite, the Parmesan, tomatoes butter, sweetness from the corn. All the food was amazing, but this was by far my favorite bite! Protein we went with the trota con fagioli, pan seared trout with salsa fagioli and carmalized onions. The salsa fagioli was a creamy white bean like sauce. The fish was pan seared perfectly with great flavor. Loved it, skin and all. Ended the meal with a decadent torta al cioccolato, chocolate cake with gianduja moose, chocolate buttercream, hazelnut brutti ma buoni and luxury cherries. I am not a dessert eater, although this looked amazing, I didn't try it, BUT my dinner companions loved it. I would never come back to Seattle without getting reservations here!

Really, really wanted to give this restaurant a higher rating but it fell short. Here's what I did…read morelike - our server was great and the space is lovely with a cozy, warm vibe. Unfortunately, the food did not hit right. Here's what we ordered: Appetizer: Crispelle - Crespelle filled with taleggio & fig mostarda with roasted figs and walnuts: Tasted like a crepe filled with brie - just OK. Primi: Tajarin con burro e salvia - Fine hand-cut egg yolk pasta with cultured butter and sage. I see the potential but someone was heavy handed with the salt so it ruined whatever flavors were supposed to come through. Secondi: Salmone reale - Pan-roasted king salmon with sauteed chanterelles, crimini brodo and thyme oil. Again, could have been really great but the mushrooms & sauce were overly salty. I think I read another review that captures my sentiments . . . perhaps whoever was the chef that night fell short. I specifically asked if the head chef Stuart was there and they said no.

Not only to experience the food, but the DREAMY outdoor space I had seen all over social media. Service was excellent from start to finish. We managed to get an outdoor seat (yay!) and the vibes were immaculate from the start. It definitely gives off more romantic/date night vibes, but it was also fun to experience with some ladies from my team. Perfect for a girl's night! Obsessed with the string lights, the fountain, and the overall atmosphere. You somehow don't even realize you're in the middle of Seattle when you're here. The menu has so many options which made it so hard to choose, but I ended up going with the Fettucini ai Fungh - fresh fettuccini pasta with wild mushrooms served in a light cream sauce topped with truffle oil, and I also added chicken. When I say this is probably my FAVORITE pasta I've had in Seattle, I'm not kidding... I almost cleared my plate which is hard for me as my eyes are always bigger than my stomach, but I made it happen! The cream sauce was rich but not too heavy, and the truffle oil was prominent without being crazy overpowering. 10/10 absolutely no notes. Hands down would have trouble ordering something else when I visit again. Without a doubt, I will be returning in the future for a date night!

We had a reservation for 7:00 PM and specifically requested outdoor seating. When we arrived, they seemed very busy, so we simply said that if our outdoor table wasn't ready, we would be okay sitting inside instead. We were only trying to be accommodating and make things easier for the staff. We were initially seated inside, but they eventually moved us outside because that was what they had available and what our reservation was originally for. At that point, the staff seemed noticeably upset with us for having sat inside. Our host then argued with us and said that we had requested to sit inside, which simply wasn't what happened. We never demanded or even preferred indoor seating. We preferred to sit outside from the beginning and only offered to sit inside if it helped because they seemed busy. It was frustrating to have our attempt to be flexible turned into an issue and then be argued with about what we had said.

I took my time with it and really savored each bite -- the rich, creamy sauce with the Bolognese was honestly heavenly. Exactly the kind of comforting pasta I was hoping for the night before a race. I'd recommend making a reservation, although surprisingly they weren't particularly busy on a Saturday evening. Given how good the food was, that genuinely baffled me. For those short of time and live with no adventure I'll cut to the chase. The food is exquisite…read more For the rest, please read on. This last week while traveling for business to Seattle I had the pleasure of dining at Mezzanote. Their name of course implies it is an Italian restaurant but what you don't realize until you have sat and initiated your meal is that you, regardless of choice are embarking on a beautiful tribute to Northern Italian cuisine. At first arrival, the immediate impression is one of modest presentation but friendly and very inviting ambience. The staff, including our Server Marcus was attentive and had impeccable timing to read the table and flow of those joined in the meal. Check back was perfect and his service support was equally in tune with the other tables on the patio where we sat. Now this is what you have been waiting for... The food and I mean, we had almost one of every item on the menu and every dish was simply delicious. Tastes that were balanced and never overwhelming, but truly inspired dishes that your taste buds understand that the food was made with care and meant to satisfy even the toughest of pallets. Let's start with the house focaccia and ask for the disco sauce to dip your bread. It was a tummy satisfying start but then they dropped the focaccia regala and with the cheeses melted in a medley that left me thankful I was as they say "hungry as a hostage" because the meal had just begun. The next appetizer brought out was the Carote... This medley of carrots smoked with a Chile Honey Glaze left this BBQ born and raised Mexican wondering why ?? And then I had my first forkful and any doubt that I had about the chef creating something sacrilegious by smoking carrots left me, as the flavors were amazing. For a moment I forgot I was eating my vegetables.. where was this when I was a younger man. On to the main courses and the Reginette was first up. This Bolognese was a hearty blend of flavor and subtlety as it wasn't overly anything except satisfying. The Braciola Dia Miaale was a durock pork chop with a rhubar mostarda and salsify puree with asparagus that could not have been better. You didn't have to be a pork chop fan to enjoy this at all. Every dish that arrived was better than the one before. The Bucatini C'Anciuova, Prawns with Calabrian Chile, anchovies, tomatoe and orange zest was a delight and I don't normally eat anything overly spicy. This was a balance of heat with a twist of tang that the orange zest delivered flawlessly. Allow me to share that it is imperative you save room for dessert. Their tiramisu taste as if there is some Italian grandmother locked away in a pastry room kicking these out. They have other desserts to be sure, but this is the star of the show in my opinion. For those of you that are wine enthusiast, they did have a wine list that was impressive. All in all, for those that follow me, you know that it is a rarity for me to give any place I visit five stars from the first visit. Consistency is premium in my book. But as I mentioned to one of our fellow diners. This food is amazing, and the reality is each of these dishes could be served in a five-star venue layered with opulence and still the food would outshine the location. The only drawback was there was no Coke Zero... Damn it ...Turns out though that can be a pretty tough find in the city of Seattle in all the restaurants. For one that does not participate in alcohol or wine, my taste buds were not underserved and I survived without my Zero. This place is a go-to for any Italian yearning for authentic Italian food made with love. That's the only way I can describe just how good the food is. This isn't something that is prepared in volume for the masses. The chef and that team are simply serving with their hearts and it resonates with every bite. I'll be back, again and again. Oh and should you find yourself needing to go to the restroom. Ask for the Disco restroom.. that alone is worth the drive... Lol until next time Mezzanote! Thank you for a wonderful meal.
