This restaurant is decorated very nicely. I ordered the steamed BBQ pork buns. I ate half of a bun and noticed an ammonia smell so I didn't eat the rest. Not the best pho I've had but I appreciate the variety on the menu and the rice platter special was soo good! Especially because I was able to switch out the main protein of a grilled pork chop with grilled chicken. This is a massive portion of simple ingredients: diverse protein, vegetables, plain white rice, an egg, and crispy bits on top of the chicken. If you need simple and delicious food safe for a sensitive stomach, I completely recommend this dish. I also appreciate they have a small version of pho (a kids pho) with a choice of protein and no vegetables. This helps you get that noodle soup kick out of the way too! read more

Had the food to-go with my friends and boy we were full. Service was pretty quick (30-35 min for order of 6) and my pho was delicious. Not watered down at all. The other menus also looked good, but if you're craving soup, def recommend the pho. You'll just heat it up a bit if you're taking it to-go. read more

I've visited Ha Long Bay several times now and felt it was time to share my full experience. I typically come for the Pho, as the broth is incredibly flavorful, and the shrimp is always cooked perfectly--never overdone or tough, which has been a common issue for me at other places. I usually order the egg rolls for my little one, and he loves them. I also treat myself to the fresh rolls, which are consistently delicious. Their Thai tea is excellent as well. I don't have many complaints, but when the restaurant gets busy, the service does slow down a bit. I understand it's a family-owned business, but having an extra set of hands during peak times could really help. Came back on a Friday night and this time wanted to eat here to try it out, rather than my first time which was a to go. Got a table right away, and our server was nice. Ordered two apps - summer rolls and Krab rangoon. My summer rolls were the better of the two and I would come back for them. I do wish they were bigger like I use to get at Sweet Tea in Lutz, but they closed. They were very good though and I liked their sauce. Krab rangoon, my husband said weren't filled too much, & super fried where the grease was dripping. I tried one and nah that's not a repeat. We both ordered pad thai. I know weird, why it's a Vietnamese place. But that's ok. It was good. It did take a while, but I appreciate that they took the time to let us know what the hold up was. It took a really long time actually. Pad thai was very good. I had shrimp and my husband had chicken. Forgot to take a pic bc it was delayed for quite some time but ate it up so we were satisfied. Ambiance has changed a lot since before it was two different Thai restaurants. Decor is nice in front and cluttered in back by the restrooms. Owner is nice and sweet and asked how everything was. This place was pretty happening on a Friday which is great for them. I'd definitely come visit again, & get the summer rolls, & when it's winter, get their pho and other Vietnamese soups. They offer Vietnamese food - noodles, pho, summer rolls, bao buns, banh mi sandwiches, pad Thai and lo mein noodles just to name some of their options. They also have boba drinks. Me and my wife went here a few times before but always got Togo and food was great. The one time we go in the brisket is disgusting, super dry and 90% fat. For the entire time we were in the restaurant we did not be seen. Meanwhile, the servers are going up to every table, except for ours. Something did not seem right and when we did finally be seen, I asked our server if this is what their brisket normally looks like and he said yes, which I knew was a lie because I've gotten brisket all the time and it's never been that bad. He just walked away and brings me the receipt without offering anything like just taking the brisket off at least, nothing. So if you're white, I would get it to go if you want to go here or bring an Asian friend. read more

Compare to their original Ha Long Bay in Pinellas, this restaurant is two notch down. The flag ship store in Pinellas is much better than this location. We have the boba flavor milk tea ube taro. But I think it is not to good standard. Our main dish is the Halong Bay special. It has the rice, grilled pork chop, grilled shrimp, shredded pork, egg cake and many more. But this dish compare to Bay Area standard is not really measure up. We also got the seafood pan fried noodle. I think is to American like sauce. Not authentic. Overall service just ok. read more

Atmosphere: - Bigger than expected, but still a bit small - Clean feeling decor. - I really love the floating shelves and small decorations that give a homie feel. Service: - The service was really good. We were checked in on often and the menu explained. Food: - The food was delicious! We ordered vegetarian spring rolls, fried chicken wings, and tofu pan fried noodles. - The spring rolls were flavorful although I wish they had a bit more filling. - The fried chicken wings were YUM. This is the only dish I consistently order. - The pan-fried noodles remind me of my childhood; yes, I have a lot of pan-fried noodles. A Vietnamese establishment with great food, great service and reasonable prices has made its way in the Wesley Chapel area! Yay! Now I don't have to trek to the university area for a bowl of delicious wonton soup. Apart from the traditional Vietnamese dishes such as the Banh Mi sandwiches, Pho, vermicelli rice noodle bowls and soups, Ha Long Bay has also included non-Vietnamese cuisines such as sushi and boba teas to the menu. The wonton soup I had was very flavorful witch just the right amount of wontons, noodles and roast pork. The passion fruit iced tea had a mildly bitter after taste but still good. The restaurant is inviting and bright and the staff appears very attentive. I had an error with my drink and they were able to quickly rectify it. I am glad to report they have been busy busy both days, including Monday night for dinner. They have a great menu and even a boba counter. The decorations are sweet and in general such a pleasant atmosphere. We had really good funny interactions with one of the younger servers working which made me like it even more. I've had seafood pho with veg added in the vegetable broth, crab Rangoon, and fresh tofu spring rolls and all were good portion and well cooked and delicious. My husband had combo fried rice which was a huge plate and he said was delicious and my friend had been craving the beef meatball pho since she had it. I want to start by saying, I'm black. I ordered several meals at this location totaling $82. Part of my order were two boba teas for which I paid an extra 95 cents for more bobas. When I arrived to pick up my order, I asked for a cup carrier--those brown cardboard cup holders--because I needed to manage my drinks along with a pho soup, and a bag containing two orders of dumplings, fried rice, and pad Thai. So basically, I had four items to carry and only two hands. You know what the lady who handed me my food did? She cut the cardboard in half. In half. This cardboard needs its four bases to be fully stable, but she just snipped it off and handed it to me. My 6-year-old tried to help hold it and the other bag so I could manage my phone and the straws, and my wallet. And guess what? It all fell to the ground. She just stood there and watched as I scrambled to pick them up, with my son looking really puzzled at what just happened. I asked her for a full cup holder, instead she handed me a bag and pushed a receipt at me with a tip section asking if I wanted it. No thank you. I walked out not fully realizing how angry I was until I got in the car. I was furious. Those boxes probably cost them 50 cents each. My meal was $82. They've made their profit off my order. I called them and spoke with someone, and they said the manager offered two free drinks as a solution. Free drinks? I don't want free drinks, I want to be treated like a valued customer. Not subpar. You're in the hospitality business; you should be looking out for what the customers need, anticipating those needs before they even have to ask. But there I stood as she cut through the cardboard with a pair of blunt scissors. And now they're offering free drinks to shut me up? I couldn't believe the indignity. And let me be clear, I'm not making this about race, but I am a black woman. Needless to say, I won't be going back. read more

I'm so glad there is a fast casual dining restaurant for Vietnamese food that's actually DELICIOUS! Its hard to find a place like this in the New Tampa region. I've tried their pho, vermicelli, and rice bowls which they did not disappoint. I also tried their uji matcha boba (high quality green tea) which tasted the way it should. The spring rolls are pretty good, I just wish they were slightly larger. I think they can do a bit better on customer service. Everyone was nice but there was a lack of attention each time ive been there... perhaps the servers are new and learning. This place has easily become one of my go to's. I was hoping that in the year since we'd been there that things have improved, but unfortunately this isn't the case. We ordered the extra large eye round pho. There was very little meat & once again, the noodles were precooked (over cooked) in advance, then thrown into the broth. This meant that initially you were presented with a big ball of noodle-mush. To complicate things, there was no ladle with the extra large soup, despite telling the sever that we were sharing it. We were given two bowls with regular asian spoons. Asking for a ladle or large serving spoon, was met with shrugs and statements that nothing else was available. So you must scoop up noodles with little spoons & chopsticks into the small bowls, then try to pour the broth from the large bowl into to the smaller ones without spilling it. The chicken karage was a little tough. We gave them one more chance and nothing has really changed read more
