The new Stackers is open and I had expected it to be more like the one on Bandera but it doesn't seem to have the options that Bandera's does, unfortunately. The only options available on a Sunday evening were chickens being grilled. There are various sides that are now available, which is new and a nice change. I'm hoping it's successful and more variety is brought in. If only this store had the bulk food and spices that Bandera's has, I would be happy. Oh, that and I would definitely appreciate wider aisles in the fresh produce aisles!! It's pretty insane in there when more than three carts are trying to navigate around. read more

We love our local HEB. The store is always clean and well stocked and employees are friendly and helpful. It is our go to store for fresh fruits and veggies. Today we purchased the grill chicken dinner from their grill, it was really good. For $16.00 we got two full chickens grilled and quartered, rice, corn, onions, jalapenos, and corn tortillas. Take advantage of the coupons you can find some great deals and an opportunity to try new things. I always try to stop at the cooking station and see what they are making, you can get some good recipes to try. read more

This si my favorite grocery store. I love the wide aisles and cleanliness of the store. The produce is always a good price and there is a large selection. If you're hungry and want to eat before you shop, there is a cute restaurant with 3 tv's for sport fans. The workers are always friendly and helpful. When you're ready to check out there are many lines so the wait is short. If you live close to this HEB, I highly recommend it! read more

I needed to quickly buy medicine and the two cashier lanes for 15 items or less had quite a few people. I only had two medicine packages. Yet a young woman noticed me and opened another lane for me to pay. That made my day. Thank you HEB for everything you do. Your a friendly business and an example for others. I am giving it a 2 star because of their seafood department. Not sure what has been going on the last 6 months but this keeps happening. I bought crab legs and cooked it the NEXT day and it tasted like ammonia, meaning that it's BAD! gave it another shot couple months later and same results. It's hit or miss. This week I bought Argentine shrimp on Thursday night, (previously frozen) and made it for dinner tonight, and i tasted ammonia again. This actually never happened before with shrimp for me. Not sure what has changed but HEB, gotta get your standard procedures to safe handle selling seafood ! Other than that, customer is great, I am able to get a credit for my shrimp. read more

We (Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital) had HEB cater for our staff here for the 4th of July. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and customer service. The delivery guy even refused to take a tip. They provided everything we needed (Plates, tongs, etc.) The brisket and sausage only lasted a few minutes. It was delicious! It's the best in grocery stores. Employees are helpful and friendly. They always ask me if I have any coupons and I appreciate that. Nice Variety. I have also noticed when there is a recall of any product, it is off the shelves right away. Their own brands are very good too. I actually prefer them to name brands in certain items. The Meal Deals have saved us a lot of time and money. Another plus is the kids get HEBuddy bucks. I would say, HEB makes shopping for groceries FUN. ONLY down side is its big. So if you don't feel good and need to get milk and get out, you might not feel like dancing down the isles through lots of happy shoppers. read more

Now this isn't a review on the whole store cause I ain't got that kind of time. I just wanted to mention something to those of my fellow sushi lovers. HEB makes some dynamite sushi rolls and platters for relatively cheap. The items are time stamped so the best thing to do is shop according to freshness rather than selection. Besides if you love sushi like I do everything they have will appeal to you so you're best off going with the freshest items. Most time stamps are 10:30, 12:30, 2:30, 4:30 and 5:30 so you can plan your lunch around then. Today I had a temptation roll which had imitation crab, tempura shrimp, avocado, cream cheese, and a spicy sauce. Most items are $6.99 to $9.99 so you will save a bundle from the traditional sushi joint. For a quick satisfying lunch or dinner this is a good idea. read more

I love HEB's and this specific location is always the location I want to go to. Yesterday I had a horrible experience with my brother. We went to the cashier and paid for our groceries and both of our cards got declined. We asked if there was a way if they could type out the card number and no response. The cashier proceeded to ask us if she wanted us to suspend our groceries we said no thanks let's figure this out but she continued to do it anyways. We felt rushed and embarrassed and learned that nothing was wrong with our cards since we used them both at a different location. A supervisor took our cart and didn't say anything about where she was putting it. It was a lot of miscommunication and I just wish next time if that happens to us or another family they won't rush and be more patient. I'll still give this place 3 stars but after that experience we might find a closer location. read more

Ok so this is an HEB plus and it's always packed. I recently started using the curbside to go and wow I will probably never go back to actually doing my own shopping! HA well I do go to heb from time to time but usually only to grab less than 5 items. So this curbside is online you set up the day and 30 minute time slot you want to pick up your groceries. I have done this about 5 times in the last 6 months and I can say it has probably saved me a lot of money.It's a $5 fee but to me is totally worth the time and hassle I save! I also usually spend under $100 total because I'm not buying all the other unnecessary things if i were shopping in store. They do have a cute little boutique if your looking for birthday gifts or something for yourself. read more

Always clean, with friendly and helpful staff! I was recently there on a stormy day, and they were willing to walk my cart out, carry an umbrella for me, hold my cart while I got my car. They have everything you could possibly want here but this place stays packed. All the time. You need something at 6am? Packed. You need something at midnight? Packed. This HEB has a descent selection of organic and regularly's grown fresh fruits and veggies, a small butcher area, and of course all the makings of a grocery super chain. What I like about this is the FREE FOODIES samples, depending on the days you come in there sometimes give out a good selection of fruit, fresh prepared sushi, soups made at the cooking connection area, or a sample of a wine or beer they're pushing for that month. Either way I like it and even though there's a walmart slightly closer to my house than this area I rather come here, they also have a cheap gas station/car wash so after stocking up on the necessities then you can knock out gassing up the car and cleaning it as well. Dont forget to check out the coupons in the front by the far left register, to add to the great deals they have around the store. read more

Since I'm in a new 'hood, I had to check out the local grocery establishment. This is an HEB on steroids. I also love that you can get yummy Mexican treats as well as sushi. The only con to this place is that it is ALWAYS BUSY. Lots of moms and jobless folks out here apparently because they are always shop shop shop shop shopping at the HEB Plus. Parking can be a b*tch so as long as you're flexible and don't mind waiting for the occasional old person, you're going to be golden. read more

I am a frequent shopper of heb. I always always go through the self checkout to purchase my items. Just this week I went like any other day and got my few items and went to the self check out where there was an employee names "ana". She looked at my basket and said "you can't come through here, only 10 items or less". I understand the reasoning for that but the problem was that she didn't even count my items and I only had 11 items. Yes I had one item over the limit. However, There were four check out stations open and no line and she still turned me away. So as I turn around to go to a regular check out line I then see a customer with a basket that had twice as many items As i had and "Ana the employee" let that customer through with no issues. If rules are rules then follow them and be consistent. The most annoying part about this was at that time it was not busy. Over all a bad experience to the store and a very rude employee. read more

I love it. Always clean, always stocked, hardly ever wait in line, they are super nice to my children, and with 3 children, 3 and under, i love their double seat carts, it's twin heaven for this mom. So I went by there to buy some TP as we all know it's been crazy.....every single employee was so nice and attentive except the two ladies working the early 8am shift at the bakery. My hubby and I stopped by there to order my bday cake for Saturday,as if it couldn't be any worse with the epidemic of the virus. Everything is mostly shut down .... anyways you two ladies had one job to do, get my order! You two ladies looked at each other like if you were trying to figure out which one was gonna help me out! Rather than tell me to give you guys a minute ... you both just blew me off and proceed to just fix things around. I told my hubby that I thought you guys didn't feel like getting my order. We waited a bit more and then just decided to walk away. So just want to thank you both for making my bday a little more difficult! I won't ever be doing business with this bakery again! The store is always clean and shopping is relaxing and pleasant. I was disappointed in the new store at Marbach and 410. Today me and my wife we went for lunch for the first time in HEB plus and Potranco we ordered family combo barbecue chicken edition some sweet corn and fried rice, man on man that chicken was so over cooked and make me feel like I was eating my shoes. We took two or three bites and was unable I stand up and I went to the counter and I told the lady that are chicken is on eatable very dry and very overcooked, she told me I know that I'm so so sorry, no trying to make get something different only I'm sorry, but Sorry is not enuf I think that HEB is lot better when it comes to customer service. Great product, good service, the store is always clean and organized. Isles could stand to be a bit wider to maneuver around, because when it gets crowded it becomes very difficult to navigate your cart around. Also, as big as this HEB is, they truly do need some Self Checkout lines available to customers. The Express lanes are good, but sometimes you just want the option of popping in and out of the Self Checkout if you have 1 or 2 items... Would make the process so much easier. read more

This is my local HEB and overall I am very pleased. They have everything I could need and want from toys, garden tools, pots, pans, a deli, a bakery and a small bbq restaurant with delicious food. There's even a corn truck and slushie stand outside. The prices are reasonable and there are always sales of some sort going on. They have an online app with coupons, just sign up and punch in your phone number at the register to get them. My biggest issue with this store is that it is a packed madhouse most of the time. I have to do my shopping on a Saturday night to avoid the rush and even then I'm waiting in line for a good 10 minutes minimum. And even that has a drawback because that is when the night stockers are stocking up for the Sunday crowd so there are palettes all over the place. But hey, it beats the alternative. I also think they should re think their coupon policy. I get not doubling coupons but they should at least accept an HEB coupon and a manufacturer coupon for the same item. If not that, then be more generous with the catalinas. Their prices can be high on certain items so it's nice to get some discounts every now and then. read more

HEB was helpful and inexpensive for our wedding flowers. There were a few communication hiccups, but on the big day our wedding flowers and centerpieces were beautiful and exactly what we asked for. Shopping at the HEB+ on Potranco is sheer pleasure. The prices and variety are great and they ALWAYS treat you like you are valuable to them. Ask an employee for help and the GIVE it, unlike The drone-powered Wally world across 1604 who stare at you open mouthed if you ask them a question. I had a HEB employee actually reading labels for me looking for low sodium products. The empoyees at the Pharacy actually meet your eyes and several of them allready recognize me by face and say hello. I pay WAY less then the supposed *low low prices* of that *other store* . I'd rather be tormented forever in the 4th circle of hell then go back to THAT place. read more

Watch out for their meat, Went for my normal weekly shopping trip noticed the meat section didn't smell very good but brushed it off. Got home went to make dinner, opened the package of chicken noticed that it was all dried out and gross. Thats sucks guess we are eating out because I'm hungry and don't have time to fight rush hour go back to the extremely busy store at 5pm then come home and cook. Next day I take the chicken and exchange it. The day after that I go to put pork chops in the crock pot only to find out that the bottom of them are a greenish gray and smell awful. Great another day of eating out since I had a very busy day which is why it was crock pot night. Had to go back to the store and return meat for the second time in one week. Talked to the manager to see if they had a power outage or something. Once is a fluke twice is not ok. No problem exchanging the meat but never got a real apology especially for the extra money spent on eating out for the week and the extra time it cost me. Wrote corporate to give them a heads up about my experience, I feel it should be looked into. Never heard anything the auto email said if I didn't hear anything to call them. I called them and they said oh you have been talking to so and so right. I said no I haven't spoken to anyone. They said oh well Ill have so and so call you back. Never got a call back, guess corporate doesn't care if they make people sick, or waste their time. I think its sad, Id shop somewhere else and never go back if there were options in grocery stores around here but the only other one is walmart which ew on their meats . read more

Very poor customer service! I inquired as to why the clerk was slow to bag my groceries. The manager smirked, laughed, and explained to me that the clerk is "not expected" to bag groceries. I usually go first thing in the morning. I made the mistake of going after 1, one day and will never do that again it gets CRAZY! I love HEB. Being new to Texas this was the first grocery store I've been to and will most likely not go to another. They have coupons all over the place. Huge selection of stuff to buy. Great garden selection. Huge kitchen item selection with is great for useless utensils junkies like me! Fairly big gluten free selection. And prices very similar if not better than the military commissary (and no surcharge or tipping badgers) Fresh sushi counter. Enormous produce selection and I've never (knock on wood) seen any bad/rotten produce here. At checkout I've generally always had a friendly cashier and they give my daughter "money" for the HEB machine. It's like a thing now. Every morning I'm asked if we can go to "the dollar store" she's won a crap-Ton of crap that makes her silly with excitement. She started saving her points in a coin pouch she won and is saving them up to get other crap. They always ask if I need help to my car which I really appreciate, even though I don't utilize it. read more
