    Seafood boil

One of the better Cajun seafood boil around the area. My dad ordered some catering from here for one of my baby showers and I was automatically hooked on their food. Their special garlic seasoning was delicious and you can go mild/spicy as you pleased.

Came here with the family to try something new. We were seated right away. We decided to try a few things and share. We ordered the 2 lobster tails, shrimp and clams that came with 3 corn, 3 potatoes and sausage. We also ordered the shrimp fried rice and a bowl of new england clam chowder. For dessert we had the cheesecake. Everything was delicious.

Great service, ambiance and of course the food was impeccable and came out at a fast pace. Great local eats would come again.

The food was really good, a bit oily, clean place, very chill. They serve the food really fast, the lady.

A good seafood spot in Queens ?! We ordered: - fried oyster basket with Cajun fries -fried catfish roll -chicken fried rice -H combo: 1 Lb Dungeness Crab Legs 1 Lb Clams 1 lb Green Mussels with all the mild sauces, potatoes, sausage, egg and corn Everything was fresh and would definitely come back for more to satisfy my seafood cravings

Combo Special A with 1/2 Green Mussels

Our group of 13 arrived for our 7:45pm reservation tonight and we were promptly seated. 4/5 Food: My boyfriend and I ordered the Combo Special A which came with 1/2lb shrimp, 1/2lb black mussels, 1/2lb snow crab, potatoes and corn. We added 1/2lb green mussels, and a side order of Cajun fries. The seafood tasted fresh and reminded me of our trip to NOLA. We chose the sauce that was a combination of all of their sauce flavors with zero spice level, and it was just right for us. I also appreciated that they deveined the shrimp in a way that made it easier to peel the shrimp. 5/5 Service: The staff were very attentive and helpful throughout our dinner. They offered to take pictures of our group. They guided us on how to efficiently get to our food (by cutting the bag). And they came around with wet wipes at the end.

The Oysters were absolute fire! Super fresh, cold and just the way you'd want them. Try with some Tobasco sauce and lemon! The lobster roll was disappointing. Low-quality mayonnaise, and way too salty. The meat wasn't fresh either. In short, for $22.99, this was a big displeasure. We ordered the Sweet Thai Chili wings, and weren't displeased. Regular, old wings. Ended the night with the Limoncelo Mascarpone dessert. Very good! Our server was very nice and accommodating. The music was on-point, and the lighting was comfortable. Overall, not a bad experience!

Been meaning to try out HCrab for quite a while since I live in the neighborhood. For some odd reason I'm always skeptical about seafood restaurants. Finally jumped the gun and ordered a delicious seafood pasta dish from them. Order came with 2 slices of garlic bread and super fresh mix of seafood! (I gauge seafood restaurants usually by ordering single dishes to taste for freshness~ the shrimp texture was not mushy and their scallops didn't have a fishy taste which means their produce is definitely good and fresh!) I'll definitely be back to try their boil style combos!

Happy Birthday to me! Today was my mom's first time eating a boil for my birthday lunch. Less than a 5 minutes drive or a 15 minutes walk from my house. Plenty of emptied tables alongside the windows. We were sitting at a corner table by the kitchen. Sadly, their menu didn't have Chinese translations. Luckily, our server Joey was Bilingual. She translated the menu to my mom and also recommended the Fried Calamari as an appetizer. Step 1: Combo Special included 1 corn and 2 potatoes B - 1/2 Crawfish + 1/2 Shrimp + 1/2 Snow Crab then added 1/2 Black Mussels Step 2: Cajun Seasoning - so flavorful Step 3: Medium Spicy - the perfect balance between mild and hot Appetizer: Fried Calamari - crispy and yummy All the plates included bibs, gloves, scissors, and crab crackers. Overall, a very delicious experience! Bookmark this spot and also ask for Joey because she provided excellent service to us!

the food is amazing, the Portions gave was huge. the service was perfect, the quickness and quality service is the best i ever had. The atmosphere was great, it welcoming and a chill vibe. this spot is definitely underrated. This spot can be used for any occasion.

The server is very nice and welcoming place. Menu is easy to read bathroom is nice and clean, spacious and cute decors. Fried shrimp basket come with fries of your choice, we got cajun fries. Seasoning on both was good, but shrimp wasnt what i expected. It was the same as the seafood boil. Not too phat. Seafood boil we got a combo, (b) it was ok. sauce were cajun and garlic butter, i wish it had more in depth flavor and the spicy level is not too hot. Maybe get a hot if you like spicy (we got medium it was no heat) We added broccoli i wish it had more and is bigger. But its cooked perfectly. Seafood pasta was scallop, shrimp, and salmon. It was very buttery and creamy.. a lil overwhelming. Scallop had no taste. Garlic bread is soft and flavorful not too crunchy.

Combo D - snow crab legs with shrimp. Added in lobster tail. Comes with 1 corn and potatoes.

A lot of restaurants post higher prices on UberEats or other delivery apps to make up for their fees but if you order direct from their website or call the restaurant, it's $1-$2 cheaper per dish.

Service was minimal at best but they just seemed under staffed honestly. And when the server did come by, she was running quickly to and from. The place was not busy when my friends and I were seated. But there was a back room in guessing that had occupants since she was missing in the front seating area. (There was a two person table occupied in the front near us). My party of three over ordered but that was intentional because, any purchase over $100, you get a free lobster and each of us had items we wanted, figured we would doggie bag the leftovers. All in all a great value. The lunch spread had over 7 dishes and we got the free lobster. I was especially happy to see Fried Milk on the menu as an appetizer. They also provide complimentary salted peanuts and pickled radish and carrot slivers. I recommend the snow pea shoots, fried milk, clams with black bean sauce and the Chinese Broccoli with Filet beef. The other dishes like the lobster, noodles and sweet and sour pork were executed well but just not my flavor profile. And with my food allergy, I couldn't try the shrimp with walnuts but it was my friends' birthday so she ordered that for her treat. It looked great! The…read morerestaurant was fairly full and the strangest thing almost all the patrons were wearing their wool hats and coats while seated at their tables. We were famished and only focused on what yummy dishes to order. My wife, son and daughter all contributed their suggestions and we ended up ordering pan fried whole flounder, half of the roast chicken with garlic, filet mignon with Chinese broccoli, fried rice with chicken and salted fish and everyone's favorite dish salt & pepper squid. Once we placed our order and were enjoying the roasted peanuts and free spicy cabbage we realized why everyone had their winter coats on, it felt like they had the AC on and it must have been 55° in the restaurant. I told everyone that once the food arrived things would warm up. Each dish that came out of the kitchen was perfectly cooked and was delicious. The salt & pepper squid with it's minced jalapeños kept us warm enough until the half chicken with garlic and filet mignon and Chinese broccoli came out in rapid succession. The star of the show turned out to be the giant sized pan fried flounder which was not only big but quite scrumptious. Unlike the little scrawny flounder that most other restaurants usually served this was a quite large and very meaty and perfectly cooked. The last dish to come out was a very large plate of chicken fried rice with salted fish. If it were not for the lack of heat, I would have given Chef Wong Bistro 5 stars!

Interesting enough, while the owner is from Wenzhou, their main chef is from Fu Zhou. Hence I definitely see some Fukinese influences here as well, such as their famous Buddha Jumped Over The Wall Soup that requires advance notice. Anyway, the reason I first visited this restaurant was because they have a great lunch special from Monday to Saturday. You can choose three items and a soup for $8, or four items and a soup for $9. I gave that a try a few months back and thought the food was solid. Due to my first experience, I decided to come try their dinner offerings with my family recently. We ordered a bunch of dishes and was overall please. While the best dish of the night may have been the Salt & Pepper Pork Chop, it's hard not to enjoy Ginger & Scallion Twin Lobsters for $29.88 right? The Shi Li Xiang Stir-Fry (Mixed Seafood w/ XO Sauce) and Wenzhou Style Dried Tofu w/ Smoked Pork were pretty good too. Unfortunately, the cold appetizers were not as satisfying. While slightly overcooked, the Boiled Pig Kidney was still decent. The Fried Belt Fish was okay, and I did not really like the Jelly Fish & Cumcumber or the freebies they gave us. As a whole, I thought the dinner was not bad and I would return to try more dishes. Nothing here really blew my mind, but the prices are so inviting.

Either way, when I have a craving for eel, Yuk Jun Gui is where I go. (They have other meats to grill like pork belly and intestines as well.) Their banchan offerings are pretty good and diverse. I love their kimchi, which according to other reviews, are made in-house. On my last visit though, all the meat came out pre-cooked. We asked about that, and they said it's because if it is grilled tableside, there would be too much smoke. I don't remember not being able to grill the meats at the table on previous visits, and hopefully this is not their new standard practice. To me, Korean BBQ is meant to be grilled at the table, not brought precooked and just warmed up on the grill. (Maybe it's because it is winter and they can't open the doors for proper ventilation?) It's certainly not a reason to not dine here, but for me, it does take away from the experience hence a star removed from the rating. However, if you like eel and want to try it grilled, I would recommend Yuk Jun Gui.

They uniquely have a self-rotating lazy susan which can be controlled remotely which was an interesting touch. Along with the usual peanuts, they provided us some free picked radish which was very tasty with us getting extra. The first dish that arrived was the Crispy Cucumber Salad for $15. The flavors were standard with a mild sweetness from the dark soy sauce with the more interesting part being the shape as they almost resembled flowers. I slightly preferred this over the usual as it added a more fun texture and I found it absorbed the sauce a bit better. For the same price, the Mapo Tofu was very tasty. While having a good numbing flavor from the peppercorn, It's a bit spicier next door at Szechuan Mountain. However, the texture of the tofu was better here being a good mix of firm and silken. This version was also fully vegetarian I believe as commonly, there's a tiny bit of pork on top. This presumably was why it was a bit cheaper as well compared to next door. My favorite of the dishes, which was a favorite of the whole table was the Stir Fried Bacon With Tea Tree Mushrooms for $22. The mushrooms had a fun crunchy texture while the bacon was more Hunan style with plenty of smokiness. This was delicious and a definite highlight. Also tasty was the Spicy Stir-Fried Pork Kidney for $20. The kidneys were cut into thin manageable pieces and the offal flavor was milder than other kidney dishes I have had being less gamey and a bit less minerally. There was a slight chew to the kidneys but it wasn't too much and the bit of veggies added some crunch. The Eel With Fermented Rice Sauce for $20 as well had mixed opinions but a few people such as myself liked it. The portion was large and I liked that the eel texture here more than in other spots where the eel is fried. The light fermented flavor was also nice which also added a unique red hue. However, the dish was quite boney so I liked some pieces a lot and found some others to be OK. I would still recommend it. The Chongqing Spicy Chicken for $20 was pretty standard. I wish it was a lighter fry but the chicken was pretty moist even with the amount of batter and it had a good mala flavor. The peppers were also nicely cooked down in the wok and plenty edible. The Dry Pot With Asian Mushrooms for $22 was pretty good. As with others, I preferred the other mushroom dish much more as the flavors were lighter. The textures weren't as fun here, but at least the presentation was nice. Larger was the alright Cumin Lamb for $25. This was pretty tasty, in terms of cumin, but I find other spots are better in terms of spice, such as next door as well as Xing Shun Da among others. The pieces were also smaller here and I liked the texture of the larger pieces at other places. This was fine, but I would recommend other places for this dish instead. The largest dish was their take on Golden Sour Sliced Beef Soup for $32. A few others loved this, but I found it to be OK. The dish in general has a good mix of sourness and spiciness, but this version was a bit too sour and not spicy enough for my liking. I appreciated the other toppings from the plentiful enoki to the noodle bundles, and the beef was good, so if the spice is improved, I would recommend it more. At the end, the staff gave us a complimentary dessert consisting of Black Sesame Mochi Balls in a Rice Wine Soup, a variant of Tang Yuan. The rice balls inside were hot and packed with black sesame, and were very tasty. The broth was excellent here with just enough rice wine for flavor, while not being overpowering. This was a particularly tasty version of this dish, and I was very happy it was included. The food here overall was solid. I prefer a handful of other places, but for the reasonable prices and good overall quality, I would recommend this place. Low 4.
