Standard Korean side dishes were provided such as kimchi, and fish cake strips. The eel was caught straight from the tank. Based on the marbling of the steak, I believe it was a prime beef cut. Pork belly was standard. All of the food was cooked on the table by staff. We were also told the recommended methods of eating each dish. The fresh eel is a completely new taste and experience. We ordered 1 galbi (marinaded short rib) and 2 orders of samgyupsal (pork belly). They cook the galbi first on a flat try (meant for pork belly) and without any charcoal like they usually do. On top of that, they were very inattentive to where they burnt some of the meat. Clearly they saw that we were no happy and so they tried to cut some of the burnt pieces off - too little too late. Move over, we ordered soju and had to ask since they forgot. That should have been one of the first things put on our table after ordering. Next they cooked the samgyupsal and all I will say is don't waste your money. This was as standard as standard gets. Buying pork belly at Costco and cooking at home on a cast iron would have been better. Food was cooked incorrectly, was average and service as terrible. Will not be back. Mul naengmyun was good though but whatever. The kicker is that after spending over $200 (also had a takeout order) they were going to charge us for an extra egg-gim (egg casserole). C'mon bro. Something is off here. I'll be going elsewhere.
