Chicken or lamb with 4 pcs of falafel (rice & salad)
    Jany R.

First off let me say, I rarely give out 5 stars so 4 stars is pretty much a hard yes on all levels for me. I love halal food, I know technically it's too broad of a term to use to describe this particular cuisine but it's what we've called it for years growing up in Brooklyn. "Getting halal from the cart for dinner" feel me? Anyway, where I live is a little more residential so I don't have any carts or food trucks near me. Whenever I get a craving for halal, I have to order out. I've tried quite a few so far from my vicinity (5-6), and Gyro Mania is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE because it hits all the checkmarks. Good chicken quality with flavor? Lamb gyro? Lamb full of flavor? Falafel? (so mf good) Good Portions? Good prices? There are places around here that charge $20 for a combo over rice, I kid you not. And then they have the audacity to taste like crap and give the smallest portions. Then there are the places that give you more salad than rice, meat lacking flavor, lamb or beef tasting like rubber. But Gyro Mania literally did not miss at all and I was so happy when I got my order and realized I finally found my go to spot. Their prices are amazing, their portions are great and I just want them to know they're doing an amazing job. Also, shoutout to the man that was there when I placed my order. When I called to confirm my special instructions he was extremely courteous and kind and it was clear when I received my food that he actually paid attention to them. That's how you get and keep customers. **Pro tip, when you order halal to go, get your sauces on the side so you can heat it up in the oven (if it's cold) and then distribute your sauce yourself**

I've been coming here for several years as it's around the corner from my best friends house but my recent visit has left me with regret on giving them my business. I hadn't visited in quite a few months and so when I walked in I didn't recognize anyone behind the counter. The guys working there seemed much younger than the men I've known before. The youngest looking one took my order, spoke quietly and is the sole reason for this bad review. I ordered two chicken and lamb over rice and one gyro. I added the gyro after he'd finish packing up the two combo orders because my mother was still deciding. Once she told me, I relayed the last part of my order saying, "Can I also have a lamb gyro?" - He misheard me and prepared another container with rice. When he came back to face me I corrected him and said, "No, I said lamb gyro." He sucked his teeth, rolled his eyes and dropped the container on the counter before turning back around to toss the gyro on the grill. Now I know the customer is usually wrong but he made absolutely no effort to conceal his irritation despite that it was his mistake to begin with. I wasn't upset that he made a mistake, I just corrected him like anyone else would do. You speak up if there's a problem. That was extremely annoying to witness and I had half a mind to cancel my entire order despite having most of it already packed. However, it wasn't worth it, and arguing with them probably would have been a waste of my time and energy as none of his coworkers looked like they wanted to be there. None of the men behind the counter greeted us or any other customers as they walked in. They didn't appear friendly and their actions certainly matched their demeanor. The terrible customer service in this recent visit has led me to the decision to never return. I've also noticed that their portions have gotten smaller. The guys from before used to pack the containers until they were bulging, but these new guys, alongside their terrible attitudes, skimp out on the lettuce, tomatoes, rice and meat. I DO NOT recommend coming here. Please save your money and spend it elsewhere that has quality food and service.

    Lamb and chicken combo

Ordered three plates of lamb and chicken combo. Asked for extra hot sauce and got ignored, didn't substitute white sauce for hot. Side note, hot sauce was more on the tangy and sour side instead of spicy which was pretty unpleasant. The food arrived cold and didn't taste very well, just mediocre :(

No frills kind of place. It is like a halal food truck but the storefront version. I had the combo of the lamb and chicken with salad. I like how you can pick which ingredients you want in the salad. It was a really good mix of meat and veggies. They loaded up the salad too and for $7 it was an absolute steal. No complaints from me. Great value and great food.

Chicken and lamb 23. Combo Platter with rice and lettuce and hot sauce and white sauce

great halal food for a cheap price. the place has a tv to watch the news and also has seating if you would like to eat in. They also offer catering, which is great for all different types of occasions. I became sick one time from their food, however I have not became sick after that. I continue going here for halal food and In my opinion I believe that this halal place is actually better then the halal food cart on 86th and Bay parkway (next to TD bank) If you want some cheap, good halal food, go here. a combo is I think $6 or $7. definitely worth the money. (and no, you won't get sick)

    Burnt up chicken Tikka :)
    Homan Y.

I have been to this establishment before and it was decent. However today I was in for a treat! I order a lamb over rice and chicken Tikka over rice. I was asked if I wanted to wait 10 to 15minutes for the Tikka and I was like sure! since they had to make it right away I tipped them a bit extra. So I wait for about a little over 10 minutes and then someone else walked in and the guy give at least 60 to 70% of the chicken Tikka to the guy that came after me before he packed my stuff up and of course he was of his ethnicity what a surprise. And he didn't even gave me the rest of the Tikka left on the grill( and the chicken was burnt!) And not to mention the lamb over rice was like hardly a 1/4 of the box. And 2 box of food 1 set of utensil. What a f-ing D bag sorry for my language but I was pretty darn upset about this. I will never ever go back to this place again avoid coming to here at all cost! If I can give it a negative stars I will and give it daily. Total a trashy experience!

Excellent food, excellent value. I recommend getting chicken and lamb over rice and salad. Don't be shy with the white sauce. It's all about the white sauce

Grilled lamb with mixed salad and rice. Hubs said it was pretty good.

The restaurant is certainly clean and I like how it's in the open so you can see all the action and cleanliness. I ordered their falafel whole pita sandwich and was told I can add whatever choosing I wanted. I also ordered two sides of their falafel balls to enjoy. They were 3 balls for $1. As for the sandwich, I thought it only tasted okay. I was very hungry at that point so if I thought my sandwich was okay then I know I'm not a fan of it. The flavoring was bland, I asked for spicy sauce but didn't taste any. I also asked for the fried eggplants to find out as I'm biting into it that there was none. Make sure you watch them when asking for your choosing. They might now hear you and you'll just end up feeling disappointed like me because I love the taste of eggplants. Regarding the falafel ball, I thought it was too doughy. I usually like them a little more loose and garlicy.

Many times in the evening this place packs it in. Luckily i came around 130pm and there was plenty of seating. Upon arrival, the waitress will bring over fresh pita bread and sliced pickles. The pita is extremely fresh. I woud recommend you order their fresh hummus. Its a perfect marriage of both. For lunch, we ordered the skewered beef, which is the softest, most flavorful morsels you can imagine. Apparently there is a special supplier of this extremely tender beef. Its amazing. If you are into beef, get the baby chicken on the skewer. Again, it is very tender and nicey seasoned bursting with flavor. To accompany these meats, you have an assortment of additions. This time, we got the french fries, very freah, and rhe mijadra. Its rice with lentils with carmelized onions. The onions give a burst of flavor to this dish. It is not inexpensive, however you will jot be disappointed and you will enjoy the food here!

Update made 04/19/2026 A true neighborhood gem!…read moreIf you decide to dine in, the space is clean, welcoming, and the staff is genuinely warm and accommodating -- but the real star here is the food. This is authentic Turkish cuisine done right. We ordered right before closing, fully expecting a rushed experience -- and instead, I was pleasantly surprised. They included complimentary Turkish bread, and I honestly could not believe how fresh it tasted. Warm, soft, fragrant -- as if it had just come out of a real oven minutes earlier. Not your typical pita -- something much better. I'm not even a big bread person, but this was exceptional. Paired with the labneh (for those who don't know, it's a thick, creamy strained yogurt spread creamy, perfectly seasoned, with crushed walnuts, a hint of garlic, and just the right drizzle of oil) -- it was truly a match made in heaven. Rich, balanced, and incredibly satisfying. They also included complimentary sauces -- a fresh, yogurt-based one (similar to tzatziki) and a bold, spicy red sauce -- both delicious and clearly made with care. And of course, we had to order the calf liver -- one of our favorite Turkish dishes. It was outstanding: tender, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and beautifully seasoned. Easily a 10/10. Now, one IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THE MANAGEMENT -- and I'm saying this with full respect because your food absolutely deserves it: Please consider improving the takeout packaging. We ordered a bowl that included both hot and cold components -- all delicious individually -- but everything was placed together without separation. The cold shepherd salad (which was excellent and generously dressed), baba ganoush, feta, and avocado were placed directly on top of hot lamb gyro and fries. As a result, the fries lost their texture, and it made it difficult to properly enjoy or reheat the leftovers. With the quality of food you're serving, this is an easy fix that would elevate the entire experience. A simple solution would be either: - sectioned containers - or separating hot and cold items Everything else was truly excellent -- generous portions, authentic flavors, and clear attention to quality. Highly recommend‼ This place is doing a lot of things right
