Spice it up with some red & white sauce, not spicy tho, so add your own chili sauce for extra kick! We've tried their platters with the extra falafel, and the kids liked it. I overheard the cashier tell the server to give me extra meat because I'm a regular. My go to dish is lamb with rice (white sauce only). I passed by this shop tonight and I saw they renovated the inside. It's a lot brighter and there is a seating area. I've been coming here for several years as it's around the corner from my best friends house but my recent visit has left me with regret on giving them my business. I hadn't visited in quite a few months and so when I walked in I didn't recognize anyone behind the counter. The guys working there seemed much younger than the men I've known before. The youngest looking one took my order, spoke quietly and is the sole reason for this bad review. I ordered two chicken and lamb over rice and one gyro. I added the gyro after he'd finish packing up the two combo orders because my mother was still deciding. Once she told me, I relayed the last part of my order saying, "Can I also have a lamb gyro?" - He misheard me and prepared another container with rice. When he came back to face me I corrected him and said, "No, I said lamb gyro." He sucked his teeth, rolled his eyes and dropped the container on the counter before turning back around to toss the gyro on the grill. Now I know the customer is usually wrong but he made absolutely no effort to conceal his irritation despite that it was his mistake to begin with. I wasn't upset that he made a mistake, I just corrected him like anyone else would do. You speak up if there's a problem. That was extremely annoying to witness and I had half a mind to cancel my entire order despite having most of it already packed. However, it wasn't worth it, and arguing with them probably would have been a waste of my time and energy as none of his coworkers looked like they wanted to be there. None of the men behind the counter greeted us or any other customers as they walked in. They didn't appear friendly and their actions certainly matched their demeanor. The terrible customer service in this recent visit has led me to the decision to never return. I've also noticed that their portions have gotten smaller. The guys from before used to pack the containers until they were bulging, but these new guys, alongside their terrible attitudes, skimp out on the lettuce, tomatoes, rice and meat. This place is turning into a real hit or miss, depending on when you go and who's behind the counter at that time. They've added some new people who cook/take orders, so it might be the inexperience that they don't add as many vegetables to your platter, or they get your order wrong. I came in and ordered fries. Just fries. A little boy before me ordered nuggets and fries. Same guy took our order, not someone I've seen in the restaurant in all the times I've been there though. The first time he asked what I wanted, I said, "Can I get fries?" He responded, "Nuggets and fries?" Again, repeating my order, I said, "No, just fries." He might've misheard me, but that's really what I said, and he ended up making nuggets AND fries as my order. Before this caused anymore problems though, when it came time to pay for my order, another guy behind the counter (who I generally see when I'm there) was nice enough to take the nuggets out for me, and I only paid for the fries. They have the worst service and attitude. I used to go in and order my food, and every time I asked for something specific they give me an attitude, (for example leaving the sauces on the side). So I wait for about a little over 10 minutes and then someone else walked in and the guy give at least 60 to 70% of the chicken Tikka to the guy that came after me before he packed my stuff up and of course he was of his ethnicity what a surprise. And he didn't even gave me the rest of the Tikka left on the grill( and the chicken was burnt!) And not to mention the lamb over rice was like hardly a 1/4 of the box. This is a neighborhood halal spot that serves very clean, healthy, and fresh food. My first order was the falafel over rice, chicken and lamb, and chicken wings with fries. The falafel was freshly made and you could taste the difference between their falafels and the much cheaper ones at the carts. Both their chicken and lamb were incredibly succulent, and the lamb had no gameyness whatsoever. This is now my favorite spot to get wings from: so cheap and so much for your money. They have a salad bar that has a variety of veggies (way more than any halal food cart can offer). They're very generous with the protein too. One thing to note: if you're looking for amazing customer service with smiles and "please" and "thank you", this is not the place. We stopped by in the middle of the night craving the delicious relief that is halal food. The man behind the counter was nice and courteous, he took our orders and even asked if wanted more vegetables in our salad. First was lettuce, cubed cucumbers, green bell peppers, followed by a mixture of diced onions and tomatoes. That was all topped by a very hearty layer of lamb.
