This place was amazing! They welcomed me in such a nice manner and sat me immediately. My nail tech (not sure of her name, she wears classes and has long nails and loves to have them with gel) was excellent!!!! She really took her time. Did everything I asked without hesitation. Got the shape perfect. The gel is hard and sturdy. I hope it lasts the 2 weeks. I'm very happy with my nails! And I loved the cooking show that was on. Everyone was super nice. I have had my nails done by Holly for over 17 years. My toes have been done here as well and are currently pampered by Anna. I love this salon. Holly does the most amazing 30 minute fill EVER...and my nails last for at least 3 weeks! The salon is always clean and all of the techs are friendly. I have enjoyed several movies while getting pampered and also watched many cooking. shows in the comfort of a pedicure massage chair. The prices are great and the service is excellent. I have been with Gypsy Nails for 20 years (Holly Bach). They are careful in ensuring the equipment they use is sterilized. When you walk in you feel like home as they are privately owned. I have had strangers compliment my nails and asked for the address you cannot go wrong with anyone at this location. I moved between Mount Dora and Plymouth Sorrento and have continued with Holly as I do not trust going any where else If you are looking for a great pedicure again best place to be the prices are great and just keep your eye out for her special. read more

I'm 41 weeks pregnant and was looking for a place to get my last pedicure that I'll be getting for awhile. All I can say is wow! For $25, this little hidden gem can't be beat! Relaxing heating pad for your neck, great massaging chairs, relaxing foot and calf massage, and it comes with a paraffin wax dip to make your feet extra soft! I usually have to pay an additional $5 for the wax anywhere else I go. And it was CLEAN which is super important to me. Exceptional service and exceptional quality! I came in to this Nail Salon to receive a pedicure and a manicure. No wait time. I instructed my Nail Specialist I wanted square shaped nails, what I came out with were crooked round nails.. She did not deep clean under my nails like I would have liked.. However, she was polite. I did notice that after she finished using the cuticle nippers, nail clippers, buffer, and callus softener tool that she used for my pedicure, she rinsed them with water and put them away in her drawer... I just hope she properly disinfected them before she used on someone else... After she finished pedicure she only sprayed the pedicure bowl... She did not scrub it clean nor did she fill it up with a hospital grade disinfectant mixed with water and let it sit for at least 10 minutes like the State Board requires every nail establishment to do. Needless to say I will not be coming back here.. I would hate to catch something.. $35 dollars well spent elsewhere. read more

I've been going to Gypsy Nail Salon for over 12 years and I am always getting compliments from strangers on how nice my nails look. The same goes for the pedicures. There is no problem with communication. Holly, the owner, speaks perfect English. All of the techs speak English, though some maybe better than others. I've found when most people are unhappy with what they get it's because they either don't explain what they want or don't speak up if they see it going in the wrong direction. read more

I have been a customer of Gypsy Nails for over12 years. My sister recommended them to because she knows I am very picky. Holly does an excellent job on my pink and white fills. She stays on schedule and is quick but my fills last a long time! I get great pedicures there - they recently got new chairs they are comfortable and give good massage. I also get my eyebrows waxed and love the way they shape them. (I have paid double for waxing at other salons) Everyone is so nice, (even the other customers) place is clean, with a great atmosphere. Went here for a pink and white fill when I could not get into my regular place (Starbutts across the parking lot.) TERRIBLE. The girl was nice, and it did not take very much time, but she used a different color pink and did not file down all the old pink so there is a clear line where you can see the old and new acrylic. I should have just been more patient and waited for an appointment at Starbutts. For the same price ($25) you get much better service and quality. read more

I have been coming here on and off for years and have never gotten better fills and pedis. I have tried places closer to home and end up coming back to get them to fix the disaster the other places have created. I like a natural look and length and Kim delivers every time. I have purchased gift certificates for family and they have been pleased with the experience as well. Not sure why the negative reviews but some people just can't be satisfied. read more

They are very friendly here, but the last time i went the lady who did my pedicure did such an awful job, i had to reshape them when i came back. She barely spent a minute or two filing, which i found odd. They were all so uneven, crooked and pointy it looked so horrible. A few days later they looked like raven claws and a good pedicure for me can last up to 2 and half weeks. Most places take a few dollars off if you opt of out the massage, wax. They will not. Waste of money. Will not be going back. The man who does pink and white, however, does a beautiful job. read more

I've been going to Jay for about 14 years and I'm not going anywhere else. I've had others do my nails when Jay was on vacation and I've always gotten a great set or fill. In contrast, I've gone to other places when I was out of town and learned my lesson. Now I plan so that I don't need a fill when I'm away. I don't understand the negative reviews, either. Gypsy Nails has tons of long-time clients who are more than happy, including professionals and tv anchors, so they must be doing something right. My daughter and her roommate also go here, so they are able to please a diverse clientele. And the salon is NOT run-down! In fact, it was recently redecorated. There's a flat screen tv to watch, and they provide free wifi for customers. I signed up on Yelp specifically to write this fair and accurate rating. P.S. The lighting is very bright in the waxing room (great light to see by, whether you're the aesthetician or the customer), which I know because I've gotten my eyebrows waxed there, and she did a great job. read more
