I'm new to the area so I brought a Groupon to try out a new nail salon. I arrive at 6:20p and I asked if they could do a gel manicure and regular pedicure. She told me about 30 mins so I waited. Then she rushed though the sevice and even told me that she was hoping I wouldn't have waited because they closed at 7:30. She attempted to paint a snowflake be it didn't work, so she put stickers instead. The stickers didn't match. The sad thing is I went out to treat myself to some pampering, and I came out feeling lousy and questioning my decision not an enjoyable experience at all. I wish you would've just said no we don't have time tonight. Maybe it would've been a different experience. I feel like I was cheated out on the good experience that other reviewers talked about. I had called the day before to ask if I should purchase their Groupon(if they had availability). I was told just come in and you can pay that price here since Groupon takes 50%. I called today to see if they could take me any earlier, and they could. I drove a half hour and when I arrived I was RUSHED into a chair, and told they would bring the colors over to me...which when I was getting a regular pedicure I didnt see an option to do that...but ok. I told the tech that I wanted my pedicure to be as short as possible and straight across. I think I repeated it 3 or 4 times since she didnt seem to understand (language barrier or zoned out). She cut my nails ROUND and I repeated it. She then took out part of my toenail and placed it ON TOP of my foot(GROSS). She then cut my nails past the nailbed(a big no no and VERY painful) to try and "fix" it. She then started to yell at me. Another tech came over and said they would put an acrylic or gel over that toe(no thanks). The original tech kept getting in my personal space and yelling. I felt very uncomfortable, they had no one else to work on me, and I left. Now, my big toe is red and swollen and I'm trying to find an option besides here. Avoid this place unless you dont care what happens to your nails/body and like to be yelled at(#nokinkshaming). read more

He manages the scheduling very well and is the most expert of all in providing Gell manicures. Jay is kind, professional, and highly skilled. Lovely salon, and clean. Sometimes techs make clients feel uncomfortable by no acknowledgement or courteous welcome when they arrive for appointments or as walk-ins. They were very nice, it took them a little while to actually do my nails but I think it's because they take their time and actually pay attention. I've been coming to this salon for close to 20 years. Holly, the owner does an amazing job. She is a perfectionist and has gotten to know me so well that she will discourage me from trying trendy things I see done in other regions of the country. I travel for a living and am forced to use other salons when I'm on long term projects. I can't tell you how many times I've come back home and had Holly get my nails back to looking "Holly done" perfect. She has had to remove and fix so many things I've let other salons suggest and sell me on or just not do with the perfection Holly does. She will do whatever I ask but when I go back a few days later asking her to change it back she smiles and cheerfully does it. I always walk out the door loving my nails after a visit with her. I absolutely HATE getting pedicures. My feet are so ticklish and I don't find it relaxing at all. I really can't recommend any one in particular to use for those because I beg them to just get it over with as I fear I may accidentally kick someone's teeth out when they play with the bottoms of my feet. I do know they offer a variety of longer, spa type pedicures with extra services, scrubs, aromatherapy and even a glass of wine. I just get the basic quick one and apologize for pulling my feet away all the way through. Prices are on point and easily visible on the sign. If you want a great job and In and out pretty quick, this is the place. If you want Holly I recommend making an appointment because she has a loyal following and is usually pretty busy. Although I have not used the others very often, I see great looking nails coming from the other techs as well. read more

I went here for the first time about a month ago to try new places out. I came in with a friend who got her nails done based on a picture. once it was my turn i told the lady what i wanted and showed her a picture and she refused to do it for me when i said i would pay the full price for it. she wouldn't do it for me so i went on and picked a plain solid color. as she was doing my nails she cut me on multiple fingers, one so bad i had a scar for about two weeks. About a week and a half later my gel nails started chipping and the acrylics started to break off. Once my nails came off i had to let them heal from how thin she made them with the drill. i will never go back here again. read more

THIS PLACE SUCKS.....My daughter took me here for a Mani-Pedi with Gel Nails. The lady who appeared to be in charged rush the nicer ladies trying to help us with our pedi ( I guess she was the only one who could do gel). She then rush my pedi lady who was clearly upset. The rude lady did my gel nails with no mani...just polish!! I then had to go back for my pedi with a different lady to finish it??!!! The place didn't look the most posh and the gentleman seemed a little unorganized at first but once he started I really liked it and am planning on coming back. I got tips and SNS done. I had an incredible experience! I work at Blaze in the same plaza, so I thought I'd give it a try. I wanted short, squoval black acrylics. I got exactly that! I believe the technician who did my nails was named Jay. He was very calm, kind, patient, and considerate about making sure I got what I wanted. He asked if I wanted to try an accent nail, so I said why not, and he did this cute swirl with a matte top coat. I will not return to this location. The customer service is terrible and my nails were subpar. When I came in I asked about the price difference between putting acrylic over my natural nail or doing a tip. I was told $20 for the natural nail and $30 for acrylic. My nails were long enough they didn't need fake tips, obviously I went with that. The girl put the acrylic on thick and several of my nails were crooked. She seemed annoyed when I asked her to fix them. It wasn't busy. There wasn't anyone waiting after me. Why wouldn't you appease the customer? If you're not going to do a good job why are you here? Not only that, but she didn't even do a full manicure. There's remnants of old nail polish on several of my fingers and underneath my nails which really bothers me. Anyway, when she was done I smudged one of my nails by accident and she tried to do a really crappy patch job. I asked her to remove the nail polish and redo the finger. She slammed the drawers around and complained to her coworker in another language. Gee, thanks. My biggest discrepancy is when I went to pay somehow the amount went from $20 to $30 with no explanation, even though the sign even says $25. Fine. I paid it, but I won't come back, and I encourage anyone else to reconsider if they want quality nail technicians to work on their nails. read more

I had a French pedicure and after 24 hours decided I couldn't live with it, it looked like a child had drawn it on, so I went back and she did repaint them in one color but she was not nice or friendly about it and I heard the employee next to her talking about Yankee and laughing. When she was painting the French the first time she would ask me and get mad if I didn't like it. I had to ask her to shape my fingernails several times and she seemed to recent it. I think they like the big money ticket like the gels. She insisted I put my hands in hot wax which was too hot and when I didn't want to she got mad and insisted that I do it. I came in with an appointment at 7:30 and showed up 30 min later at 8 and the lady was so nice and fit me in giving me acrylics which took till 9 when the nail salon closes at 8. The nails were beautiful I'm so happy I chose to come to gypsy nails for my nails for prom. I came in to get my eyebrows waxed. The place looks really run down, but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. WRONG CHOICE! My eyebrows looked like a hacksaw had been taken to them. The lighting was really bad, so I didn't notice until I got to my car. I went back and demanded a refund. At first the same lady offered to fix them. I, of course, refused. I eventually got a refund. They were the perfect shape, they lasted so well and never lifted and I work every day with my hands in water. I was so happy. Christmas Eve i decided to check out a new Salon and this is what I get. I have NEVER in 10 years seen my nails look this HORRIBLE just a week after getting them done. $35 plus a TEN DOLLAR TIP wasted down the drain. I have been a regular customer for about a year. I always get a spa pedicure. I always end up with the same woman, even though I never request her. First of all the staff is not very, friendly. No casual conversation, but I can live with that. What I can't live with is a technician who can't do her job right. I always have rough areas on my feet she has missed afterwards. As she always rushes through spending no time smoothing the rough areas. However, the worst part of all is, I brought in some nail designs to put on my finished toes. Nothing complicated, just a simple decoration. The technician informed me; she she didn't know how to apply it. I had to peel the designs off and apply it myself! Really, a nail technician that can't apply stick-on designs??? Then learn that part of your job! After my pedicure she sat me in a chair to dry and gave me my bill of $30.00. In addition to the bill she literally asked me for a $5.00 tip. I asked her again to be sure I understood her. She clearly stated; tip, $5.00? So let me get this strait, you can't apply a simple (stick on) nail design, that I have to do myself? But you want a $5.00 dollar tip? I don't mind tipping at all, but first perform your duties correctly. A tip shouldn't be expected, rather it should be earned. Time for a new salon! read more
