No one wants to have to call pest control. But if you know you need professional help, Guys is worth a call. First, they did a free estimate and walked around the entire house to do a preliminary inspection and point out potential problem areas. Other companies we called simply quoted us based on the size of the property or wanted payment for them to come out and give an estimate. As a result, even though Guys services seem expensive they were fairly priced because they weren't billing us for services we simply didn't need. Second, during the entire time we used Guys' services they were responsive and upfront about what needed to be done. They not only showed up on time to appointments but kept in contact via text in between appointments to stay on top of the issue. After finding ticks on 2 of my kids FROM OUR BACKYARD, I called them and left a message. Brandon, one of the co-owners called me right back and listened as I described our problem. He was at a job one town over so he said he could come take a look at our house/yard and give us an estimate in about 2 hours. He gave me a reasonable ballpark figure over the phone based on what I described. Sure enough 2 hours later he was at our house. He was super nice and his estimate over the phone was correct. Guys Pest Control I gave this company 5 stars because they understand that customer service begins from the time that someone calls them until they complete the pest control job. This is not a FAKE Yelp posting designed to mislead someone into calling this company, and no I don't know these guys personally. I felt compelled to write this review because people like me that are having rodent problems need somebody to call that is Honest and and not just taking advantage of a stressful problem to rip you off. These pest companies know rodent problems is something we as homeowners don't want to deal with, or don't know how to deal with it. Knowing that, a lot of the companies charge ridiculous prices because they know they can. After calling those companies it seems like the magic "price fixed" number to address the issue starts around $1000., and goes up from there. I'm primarily referring to the companies that service the tri-valley area because that's the companies I spoke too. Quite a few of them believe that they should charge more just because you live in this area. You know the attitude, it applies to cars as well. If you drive a expensive car the mechanic charges more because you can obviously afford it. One pest company actually stated " sir, you live in an affluent area, that shouldn't be much money to you". Well it is. The price of $1000. just to drop off a few glue traps and cover some holes that may take 2 hours is ridiculous. Sorry, back to the review. For a young company, these 2 young men have a great sense of customer service, and integrity. They return calls asap, show up when they state they will, don't charge for the initial inspection, and have reasonable repair prices. We should all understand, they don't always answer the calls on the first ring because they do have other customers so lets be fair about that point. I strongly suggest you give them a call before you sign with another company and compare the companies before you throw money away. And with this type of problem, we all have to remember none of these companies can GUARANTEE that we'll never see or hear another rodent, that's unrealistic. We have severe rat problem. We have had "specialists" come and do examinations, seal of entry points, set up traps and catch a few mice, The problem has continued. Then, we had vendors quote us about $5K to "sanitize" the attic where the rats nest. We hesitated because that won't really solve the problem - more rates can come and nest there. Finally, we met Guys Pest Control. Felix and Brandon are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Very professional, honest and reasonable guys. What Felix and Brandon showed me all the external and internal entry points that others had failed to detect and close off. They offered closure of all external and internal holes to prevent mice from entering the house; trapping the mice that are already in the house and sanitizing my attic and garage. How's this for a review? I never used them for anything and am giving them 5 stars. Why? Because after I explained my need to figure out a solution to dealing with a rat population under our deck, they gave me an honest answer which was there was really not much at all that they could do to fix the problem. They explained that there were a few remedies that would be very expensive and likely not very successful. In a world where making a sale, no matter the cost is the sad norm, it was so refreshing to have someone say that they weren't ok with taking our money under certain circumstances. That is honesty. Another company didn't return my call for days and then couldn't make an appointment for another week! The "Guys" were knowledgeable, professional and immediately got to work. Mice sightings are never good and after jumping up and down on the couch ( think tom cruise), screaming like a little girl and breaking out into hives, I called the guys! They were out at my place the very next morning and did an inspection and showed me lots of mouse droppings. City girl here didn't know what mouse droppings looked like so that was interesting! Then they sealed off the entry points and found the hole in the garage where the damn rodents had gotten in. They set traps and the very next day we got two mice. Even though it was a Saturday, Brandon came by to dispose of them. I was very very thankful for that because I'm petrified of all things creepy crawly. They cleaned up and sanitized my garage and pantry. 3 mice down and the traps have been clean for two weeks. Fingers crossed that the mouse menace has been sorted! Highly recommend this company.
