Felix came over to our house due to a rodent issue. Diagnosed, spent about half an hour looking at the property and discussing the events, and told me how to fix it myself and that I would not need to hire anyone including himself. The rate he quoted me if the issue goes out of control was also reasonable. Honest on top of the fast responses. Will give them a call again when a need arises. read more

As usual, my yearly run in with these guys. Small business and locally owned, I love working with Brandon and Felix. Felix came out today and took care of our annual, "spray for lil buggers" with the commercial spray. We've always handled it with the spray and hopefully this year is no exception. With the wild fires, and some weird stuff happening with the world... we found mice seemed to camp out on our AC unit outside but never could catch them. They seemed to gave moved on but needed a professional to look. Felix checked it out and told us what to look for in case it happened again. We also started to see some ants start coming into the house. He took care of that by lining up some borders. Inside the house, they have always been super careful - we have both indoor pets and our lil one. And they never change the price on me. Ever. I'm super thankful for that, since I know the cost of doing business rises but they appreciate and respect repeat customers. Update - our ants were pretty relentless so Guys Pest Control needed to come back two more times within the 30-day warranty period. Each time was pretty easy to schedule through Yelp messaging and they were prompt and courteous each time. The last time, they recommended a full exterior treatment to avoid chasing the ants, with a little bit of targeted interior spaying. We seem to fight the ants every year, but I suspect drought conditions are making things especially bad. Things look pretty good for now. read more

These guys are great. Not only did they come back multiple times for the initial fee but when I had an issue a few days outside of the warranty they still honored the warranty!!! I am impressed with their customer service and their response time. I only contacted them through Yelp but they were always super responsive. Quick Review I had a few little wasp nests along the side of my house. It started off as one minuscule nest until those damn wasps decided to make more. Before long, it was time to seek out a professional. Guys pest control was rated highly on yelp and I do want to support local businesses when I can. They must've been busy because they were difficult to contact by phone, so I ended up shooting them an email. It seemed pretty informal and there was no confirmation of my appointment. They did end up stopping by first thing in the morning and were rather friendly. No attitude. The work was thorough as they found all of the nests and their service came with a 30 day warranty in case the wasps reappeared. I'd happily contact them again for my extermination needs, but I hope I never have to. read more

I'll never forget the first house we lived in when we moved to San Ramon. Cute backyard with just the right amount of concrete for the kids to ride their tricycles and enough grass to have a tumble. Beyond the short retaining wall was a hill that went straight up to the fence, covered in ivy. It didn't take long to realize it was a feeding ground for rats and ant hills. I don't think we ever went a month without critters coming in somehow. We have been fortunate with our current location and have only had ants twice (knock on wood) and both were my fault. Sorry honey for the cookies I hid on the top shelf, and who knew Orchids were an ants favorite nesting spot? ...but when I saw my first wolf spider, that was all I needed to higher an exterminator. Exterminators do not guarantee to rid your property of every spider, but I would like to believe that is exactly what Felix does when he sprays. We added a service for our RV on the side yard, which sits directly below a large tree and it has helped keep spiders out of there too. I rarely need to have Felix spray the inside of the house, as spraying the perimeter seems to work well, but he is always willing to answer questions and has good advice on keeping areas clean. Aside from the actual extermination service, I also feel Felix is trustworthy and reliable. I am a firm believer in supporting the small, family owned businesses, and give my endorsement for Guy's Pest Control. *btw, 2.5 years and we've never had another wolf spider in the house! read more

Guys Pest Control did a great job removing carpet beetles from my apartment. They suggested a one-and-done treatment for $250, with a 30 day guarantee where they'd come back and spray again if I still noticed bugs. I noticed a bug around day 35, and Guys came back and sprayed again without a second thought! It's now been several months and I'm happily carpet-bug free! read more

I opted to hire Guys to ensure it got done quickly and correctly. I am a current customer that has the hardest time reaching anyone to discuss billing and scheduling. When I call, I get the voicemail that says you can leave a message or for "faster service", you can email them. Each time I have left a message and sent an email, I never got a response from either. Nothing. After speaking with the tech about the problem, when he called to do our regular service, I explained that I was thinking of cancelling due to the lack of communication. At that point, he gave me his direct number, which, I thought was nice of him but he did say that he prefers to not have to do that and I don't blame him. Due to the lack of communication of this business, I have decided to find another pest control company. I also asked the tech to clear out the webs around the perimeter of the house and the pergola but they are all still there. I will do myself but for $120 per service (for spiders), I would hope to have better communication and more thorough service. I know we are all struggling for good help during this time and their tech, who was very nice, but from what he said is that they are short staffed. This is a family run business so I still gave 3 stars. I hope my review will help their company improve their contact responses for current clients, billing practices and work on being more consistent with their service. read more

I would describe them as professional, straight shooter, and honest. We live in a townhouse and have been having rodent issues for a few years. We have hired another pest control company, which was a waste of money (I wrote a review about them). We also hired an attic/crawl-space cleaning company. We spent big bucks to rodent-proof and replace/sanitize the entire crawl space (I also wrote a review about them and plan to provide an update). That worked only for a short period of time because we started seeing new rodents infestation. When Brandon and Felix came to our house, the first thing they said, "You live in a townhouse, you share walls, it is impossible to prevent rodents coming in. We are not going to take your money by saying, we will do this and that and will fix the issue. It is going to be a waste of your money. The most cost-effective solution for you is to place traps regularly." In my mind "wow, thank you for the professionalism and also for giving me honest information so I can make a better decision". This was the opposite of what the attic cleaning company was saying. Obviously, they wanted to get my money. Long story short, I hired them for a month of monitoring (cost is very reasonable). They came once a week to place and check traps. We caught two rats in a month. I also caught one outside the house. They didn't place traps outdoor due to safety and legal concerns. Going forward, I plan to place traps on my own and continue to monitor. If things get really messy, I plan to hire them again. Hope this helps, you can trust these guys. read more

Update, The business owner immediately called after this review was posted and started arguing and yelling at us as their customer. This is unprofessional and unacceptable. I would advise against doing any business with them as they obviously do not know how to treat their customers. We have recorded the conversation with the business owner which shows his aggressive attitude towards us and will use it as proof for any future events. If we could give them 0 stars, we would.... TLDR; attitude is rude, ants and rats still keep coming back My family has a bi-monthly service contract with them, which we already paid in full, and every time we scheduled an appointment, we would tell them to come whenever it was convenient for them. This past weekend, we found 2 dead rats inside our garage. We knew they weren't open on the weekends, so we left them a message on Sunday and also called them Monday morning. After several attempts at trying to contact them with no response, they finally called us back. When we asked when they would be able to come by, they said, "you are the only customer in concord, and we are really busy". They made it seem like coming to our house was an inconvenience to them... They knew that when they accepted our service request, that we lived in concord..... Their attitude towards us was rude, and even after setting up some traps, the rats still keep coming back. It doesn't even seem like they are trying to help us prevent the infestation. We will not be renewing our contract, and when we told him about it, he said "that's okay". read more

These are the guys. They helped me remove a mouse that had gotten in to our house. They knew right where to set up traps and got the mouse way faster than I thought. Now we use them for bugs too. With the pandemic and shelter in place it's been great being able to spend more time in our backyard without so many pests. They are very good, very professional, and they are not big on high pressure sales. They know that they are good. I'm a customer and I would very much recommend their services. I requested a quote for treating ants problem through Yelp over a weekend and Brandon responded within a few minutes even though they are closed over weekends. Felix the owner came the following Tuesday. He was courteous. He explained what he was going to do and answered my questions. All was well after the treatment for about 10 days and then it rained a little bit and ants came back in the house. I contacted Felix via email and he showed up within a couple hours to spot treat the problem areas (we didn't treat the inside initially). It has been a month now and I only have a few occasional ants in the house, nothing I would consider an issue. Felix is obviously very proud of his work and results. We just bought a house in San Ramon at Gale Ranch and we already have mice! I reached out to a bunch of pest control companies, but Guys had the best communication (very easy to reach via Yelp quote/messaging) and was the cheapest out of the 5++ companies I contacted. He did an inspection of my house and noted areas that nice could get in and I forwarded them to the builder. He set up traps and was very informative. Brandon and Felix met with my wife yesterday after we complained about pests including earwigs and a black widow. I was not present at the time, but my wife said they were very professional and knew what they were talking about. As of last night, we still saw earwigs crawling under the garage following their treatment of the perimeter. They are doing additional work for us which includes covering the bottom of the garage (FULL SERVICE!). We will mention the live earwigs we saw last night and I will update this post. Finally, the 4 stars is because I am looking at the contract and: 1. It would have been awesome if we could get a bi-monthly service with no contract (I've seen places that do this to prove they have full confidence in their service) Anyway, I am splitting hairs. I agree with the previous posts on here: These guys are good. (No pun intended). (I updated review. I thought they didn't list the chemicals, but they, in fact, listed it in the carbon copy. My bad.) ALSO, on Yelp, it says they will respond with a quote in one hour. That's legit. From my conversation with them on the phone and from what my wife told me, they really know their stuff. July 2018: I feel it is important to update this review because, sadly, the service has been very disappointing. My daughter has left messages and never gets a return phone call, they no longer advise my daughter or son-in-law when they will be there spraying so they can keep the dogs in the house so apparently only the front of the house gets treatment. I say apparently because a bill is left but absolutely no indication that services were provided. Recently called to have them come out to take care of multiple hornets' nests and never got a return phone call. The decline in service is extremely disappointing. read more
