Mark is professional and a great communicator. After considering a couple of inspectors on Yelp, I chose Mark because of his quick replies over email in supplying a sample report and estimated cost. Mark is flexible for the quick turnaround (scheduled our inspection within a couple days) in our inspection period. I appreciate how he uses a 3rd party for a roof and termite inspections....I'd prefer the professionals who encounter these specialties everyday to look for problems. A big storm was forecast to hit when our inspection was scheduled....which worried me. But Mark and the roofer were on top of it. They had actually went out the day before our scheduled inspection, so that they could be thorough (and safe) despite the looming storms. Lastly, since we couldn't attend the inspection to get his feedback in person, Mark called us (my husband and myself) that evening to verbally summarize his report and answer any questions that we had. We hired Mark for a buyer's home inspection in Danville, and were very pleased with his service. Mark's expertise was obvious from the beginning, but he really stands out for his ability to put things into perspective and explain everything simply and concisely. This was very helpful not only during the onsite review, but also in his written report, which he provided on the same day of the inspection. The written report was very high quality, and while it included a plethora of helpful details (e.g., typical lifespan of roof, major appliances), it highlighted the most salient points in an intuitive way that was easy to follow. It was also reassuring when he started his review by saying that no house is perfect, but his main job is to make us aware of any major defects. Luckily, there were no major issues, but he did point out a number of minor items, and walked us through of the house to point them out. Mark also used a remote-controlled robot (that he built himself) to survey the crawl space and take pictures, which we thought was quite innovative. I was contemplating on home inspections for the last month or so.. and decided.. well, if I am investing on somewhat a lifetime of payments, I better make sure I am paying for something that at least won't give me a lifetime of grief from the start. Mark is very knowledgeable. He was able to explain to me some structural areas to be familiar with and to look out for, shut-off valves in case of emergencies and to the small details like knobs and drains that need repairs. I work in healthcare and when you start your work in a new hospital, you get an orientation so you are able to know what, where and how you can utilize everything you need and to know and that you would say "hey this hospital is great! I wanna work here!". Having Home Integrity LLC to "orient' me on a new home, made me more aware what to look out for, what to have the builder fix/repair before closing escrow and to finally be able to make an informed decision if I do want the home... There are some DIY, but with home inspections... you need professionals like Mark with home Integrity. Mark was extremely knowledgeable and thorough in our home inspection last summer. His price was extremely reasonable compared to others and he provided a thorough verbal summary and a nice, long report of findings. When our heater was having issues turning on a week after we moved in, the home warranty company was giving us a bit of trouble about covering the repair. We referred to Mark's detailed report where he specifically called out that the heater was in working condition and the warranty company ended up covering the repair. Woo-hoo! Mark also uses a really nice and thorough termite inspector. And Mark's roof report actually said just as much as the roof inspector that I paid $180 for. read more

I'm so impressed and happy with the service we received from Mark. I'm grateful for the other reviews on here since that's how I found him so I'm adding another 5 stars. He was quick with response, punctual, friendly, extremely thorough and was clear in answers to questions I had. We wanted a roof and termite inspection done as well and he was able to coordinate all to be done at the same time seamlessly which was wonderful for us (the prospective buyers) as well as the home owner currently living in the home. -Additionally I received great service from the termite company and roofing company he works with which is also invaluable. His report was very detailed and clear, complete with pictures and information regarding repairs. As others have stated, (if we end up purchasing the house) I will definitely use this as a very helpful guide in future work to be done on the house. And if not, we'll be hiring him for whatever home we plan to purchase going forward. I found out he also does mold inspections which I may ask him for service in the future. I've found many mold companies unfortunately can tend to be not very reputable in my opinion. However, I just got such a good impression that Mark's an honest man and- I would feel very confident in using him for that should I need it going forward. Mark provided a home inspection for our purchase on short notice to accommodate a short inspection contingency He provided me with an in depth verbal walk through following his inspection and answered all my questions knowledgeably. It was my intent to do any and all work myself, and as such Mark spent extra time with me. As an engineer in an unrelated field I came away with the confidence that the answers provided me with the necessary knowledge to complete most of the necessary repairs and upgrades myself. Mark has been fantastic. Mark came out early to do a home inspection on a purchase knowing that the current owners were not there and got a head start on outside inspections. Once we got started with the interiors he was clear about his process and that we would have a moment at the end to debrief and have any questions answered. When his inspections were complete, we reviewed every aspect of the house from structural, to plumbing, electrical, heating and insulation. He was able articulate what his observations were, what that translated from his personal experience to my lay and every day needs, and what impact this would have in short and long term home ownership. These are all details that would later be followed up with a prompt typed report that we received via email the same day with pictures and recommendations. Mark's services also included information and visual inspections on items that were out of the scope of his service catalog which I appreciated such as sprinklers and fireplace. His customer service skills were excellent, he has a very friendly demeanor, courteous and very prompt with his responses. Mark came to our new house to do a home inspection before our 1 year home warranty was up. My wife and I weren't sure if we should get an inspection on a new home but we felt that we should do it in case the homebuilder overlooked something. Mark was very thorough and detailed oriented examining everything from the foundation to the attic. Mark discovered that the attic above our living room had no insulation and he found that the automatic garage door opener safety device was not set properly if it came down and met resistence. I would have never known these items needed attention if Mark did not do his inspection. Home Integrity is the best and Mark has years of experience in construction. He could have charged more for additional services very easily but explained why it would be prudent to do something else.
