All custom installations, such as this, are subject to having issues. When you have 30 to 40 penetrations in your roof from a solar install, chances are you're gonna have a leak - the difference in the end is based on the company that you choose to do business with, and how they handle the inevitable issues. I had a relatively minor leak almost 3 years after our Powur Solar system was installed by Guyou Roofing. After contacting them, no arguments, they did not hesitate to return with a crew who went over every penetration, and resealed them just to be sure, even though the leak was very localized to one area. They even repaired the stains caused by the leak, to our interior living room ceiling. Jesus H and the crew left no mess, were very thorough, and he explained exactly what work was performed. No arguments, and no charges for the work - Powur Solar & Guyou Roofing are Class A companies that I would not hesitate to do business with again, and I will refer them to all who ask for Solar and or roofing. read more

Sounded good to start, but has under delivered in all manners. 1. Guaranteed us that the 19 additional panels installed to our already existing 16 panels on our 3700 sq ft house would be enough to cover more than 130% of our current usage; therefore resulting in no electricity bill. FALSE, Still getting an average bill of $100 a month. 2. During installation, drilled hours into roof, causing leak on a rainy day and then failed to take ownership and go back on the roof to fix it. 3. When we had XMas lights installed, it was that individual that informed us of all the broken tiles on our roof that was left behind. 4. Said that we would able monitor generation and consumption of the panels alongside the original set of 16-panels. WRONG AGAIN. Each system reads the other generation units as consumption so we cannot get an accurate reading of generation. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW, DONT GUARANTEE SOMETHING YOU ARE IGNORANT ABOUT. 5. This one is my oversight... The finance charge for the cost of the solar was 3% more expensive than the solar panels itself. Cost was $28k, finance charge was $32k... Paying $60k for panels that are not working as was agreed upon. 6. When my husband called to speak to representative about the efficiency of the panels and asking for service tech, the customer service rep said that they would schedule someone for TODAY. When my husband calls this morning to confirm, they customer service rep said that the individual coming will speak with Jason about additional panels..... WTH!!! NOOOOOOOOO the visit was to be about the inefficiency of the existing panels not producing what had already been promised, why in heavens name would we sign up for more!!! WOULD NOT recommend doing business with this company. Just choose another company. read more

Outstanding experience ! Manager Bree responded immediately at my first contact with her . We emailed back and forth and she responded sometimes within minutes . Arrival time was to be between 7:00 and 11:00 a.m. . John Chavez came promptly at 7:10 a.m. and was finished in an hour. He took pictures of everything he did and showed them to us. Review would be 5-stars based on exterior installation of panels and meters etc.. My suggestion to these installers is to get an inexpensive tarp and place it in the attic prior to walking, drilling and working on a project. Went up in my attic today and was disappointed to find wood shavings, shingle material and dirt all over my insulation and property stored in attic. DO NOT USE Guyou Construction - Avoid at All Costs I signed a $50,000 contract with Guyou Construction in August 2022 for an additional solar panel installation. The project involved installing customer-supplied inverter and batteries to complement an existing Tesla system. I was assured by the salesperson that even though their inverter was listed on the contract, we would be using my own. This turned out to be the beginning of a nightmare. Not to mention they backed out of installing the batteries they agreed to originally install. In February 2024, they marked the project as "complete," despite both my concerns and those of their technician that 12 of the newly installed panels were only producing about half the expected energy. The excuse? It was an incredibly cloudy month, and they advised me to "give it some time." Well, time passed, and the problem persisted. I've contacted Guyou Construction at least 10 times, requesting repairs. They finally offered to send someone--at an additional service charge! To make matters worse, I recently discovered that one of the panels is sitting half off the roof brackets, barely hanging on and posing a serious safety hazard. Their so-called "10-year workmanship warranty" is a joke. It's all smoke and mirrors. The entire experience has been a disaster, from the prolonged year-and-a-half installation to their complete lack of post-installation support. If you value your time, money, and safety, I highly recommend steering clear of Guyou Construction. They do not stand by their work, and their service is atrocious. read more

Guyou construction is one the worst solar installation companies, for multiple reasons: 1-I later found that they charged me %30 more compared to the competitors. 2-They had one of the worse designs, the installed a low slope system for me, it turned out the production dropped to less than half in a year. After every rain the amount of dried mud on the solar reduces the reduction to less than a half. I need to clean the solar after every rain! 3-The newly installed system stopped producing and I received no alert until after a few months later (no production=loss of $100~$200/month) 4-When I called for help, they were very rude, with no advise provided. 5-The only thing that mattered for them to charge for a technician even the system is under warranty and they provided no help unless a signed contact guarantee their payment is received. 6-The system need a simple reboot and I had to pay for it. 7_When I objected to the matter, the made sure that the contract is prepared such that you have minimum rights for example if the production reduces substantially after each rain etc If want to spend Thousands of dollars to get a system that you wish it weren't there go the Guyou. read more

Guyou is a very respectable company. They did fantastic work and they were always available to answer any questions that we had. It did take longer than I expected to get the link to the app for monitoring the panels, but not a deal breaker. The monthly cost is very reasonable and I'm looking for a negative yearly output.
