Update for my review with OC - Savannah from customer service reached out regarding my experience…read moreand expressed regret over how things went and changes were actively happening at the company. She offered a free panel cleaning, which she set up internally and had their team come out this past Friday without issue. Since the cleaning the panels have been much better performing especially after these past few weeks of misting and rain, about 25% higher output. I didn't think much of it but I get now it's worth doing to get the most out of the panels. Overall a very good response and experience with OC specifically for this issue. I feel that they do want to stand out from the crowd and responding proactively to feedback gives me more confidence they'll take care of issues as they hear about them.

Poor communication and project management…read more My project has been underway for 8 weeks and I'm still likely weeks away from having a functional system (despite having paid over $30K out of pocket). I've had to repeatedly chase the team for basic updates with no follow through. Throughout the entire process, I do not believe the team followed up with me directly, I have had to chase every single update since signing the contract. The original system design I agreed to did not fit my roof (despite them measuring on-site before I approved the quote), during install many roof tiles were damaged and replaced with used (very dirty moss covered tiles). Hopefully I have a functioning system sometime soon, but I have been extremely disappointed so far.

I wanted to share my recent wonderful experience with my recent service visit with Infinity Solar…read more I purchased my system in 2024 (detailed review also done); during this time, my solar generation has been absolutely wonderful, and sized perfectly by Kay. My electric bill is essentially free over all of 2025 and this year. Some months have a $10 dollar bill, other months negative depending on how sunny each day is. I have had zero issues whatsoever and system works like clockwork. The installation over my tile roof, done through Terrazas roofing, partnered with Solar has also been top notch with zero issues with multiple major storms last year. I would say i was 110% satisfied with my decision to go solar and with Infinity solar. Fast forward to 2026. A series of recent power outages resulted in no power in my home. My initial thinking was that my system should have generated power with a fully charged battery during this outage. After calling Infinity, it was relayed that my system per contract was only set up for load shifting by design, lowering cost which I had decided on. After discussing 2 options to allow for backup power generation, i decided to proceed with the upgrade. Throughout the process, the entire team supported me exceptionally, starting with Sara who stepped in to help speak to me when the service department was not available at the time. As i did'nt understand my contract fully,, i reached out to Kay in sales, whom i did not speak to in 2 years, who really went above and beyond to explain to me in full detail how my system was set up, and options i had to upgrade. Kay treated me like family. I was so appreciative of her kind approach. She helped coordinate a technical call with Joel to fully answer all my technical questions. Once i decided i was comfortable with to proceed with the upgrade, the service team took over, with Vanessa and Brianna helping me schedule my service. Vanessa and Brianna work tremendously well together; super friendly, pleasant, professional and helpful. I requested looking into a couple options which Vanessa followed up on and accommodated without hesitation. A straight forward and exact quote was provided on Thursday. Their service and help was fantastic and greatly appreciated. Upon approving my quote on Thursday, my service was completed on the following Tuesday, much faster than I expected. Upgrade was performed by Ivan, electrician specialist. Ivan also initially setup my system in 2024. His expertise is perhaps, in my view, the finest in the industry. I felt very fortunate and appreciative knowing i hd my system in the best hands. He spent about 3 hours working on my system, explaining all the steps. Work performed was tremendous. Ivan patiently answering all my questions on some of the system parameters forgotten over the past 2 years. System was up and running and verified to work fully with a simulated power outage performed through the fuse box, and through the app. I was thrilled to now have backup power during outages. Billing and final payment was as quoted and super easy. In closing, the real mark of any business is how you are treated after the job is complete. My belief is that Infinity solar lives up to their reputation of being an exceptional 5 star company providing high expertise solar services through all phases of a project; sales, installation, commission, operational life, and post installation services. In a business of fraught with fly by night companies, Infinity Solar is a true gem. Solar done right with integrity, highest expertise, and exceptional, prompt service when called on. Thanks again to the entire Infinity team. 5 Star once again! Dave C

UPDATE: Sadly, changing my original 5-star review to 1 star…read more I'm really disappointed to have to update my original review. When we purchased our solar system from Infinity Solar in 2017, the installation process was great, and we genuinely felt they went above and beyond. We were extremely pleased with our experience and had no hesitation recommending them. Unfortunately, fast-forward several years, and our experience has been completely different. Recently, one of our inverters stopped working. Given that our contract includes a 25-year warranty covering workmanship, labor, and certain equipment, we naturally reached out to Infinity Solar expecting them to stand behind their warranty. Instead, we were told we would have to pay $550 just for someone to come out and assess the problem, followed by additional hourly labor charges for however long the repair would take. When we questioned why we were being charged these fees despite our warranty, the owner, Tim, explained that we lived too far away, that the business wasn't doing well financially, and that it essentially wasn't worth it for him to send someone out. He even mentioned that they were considering closing the business altogether. Needless to say, we were shocked and extremely disappointed by this response. We trusted this company with a significant investment, in part because of the extensive warranties they offered. To now be told that servicing our system isn't worthwhile to them because of their financial situation and our location is incredibly frustrating. Ultimately, we hired another company that came out and repaired our inverter for just $300--less than what Infinity wanted to charge simply to diagnose the problem. It's unfortunate because our initial experience was genuinely positive. However, a company's true commitment to its customers isn't just demonstrated during the sale and installation, but in how it stands behind its products and warranties years later. A 25-year warranty means very little if the company is unwilling to honor it when you actually need service. I sincerely hope Infinity Solar reconsiders how it treats its existing customers. Based on our recent experience, I can no longer recommend them, particularly to anyone placing value on their long-term warranty promises.

We were fortunate to have Ruben G. as our Account Manager.  Ruben was professional, pleasant and knowledgeable -- carefully listening to my questions and concerns and also sharing knowledge so I could better understand the phases of installation. Throughout the entire process - from design to permits, documentation to electrical requirements, we communicated with the various SolarMax team members to make sure we understood what the next steps would be. Every team member was courteous and competent, all of them did their part to complete our solar panel and battery project. We are happy with the service and expertise SolarMax has provided us and would recommend them to friends who are considering solar energy.  To Ruben - our renewed thanks!  We appreciate you for your work. I've been going back and forth with them for well over five weeks to get it resolved. They've said the company that manufactured my panels (apparently an in-house brand that is no longer operating) is out of business, so they've been "trying to secure panels with the proper wattage" for over a month. No update as of today. It's really frustrating that I have these problems, a warranty to cover it, and it's not being taken care of in a timely fashion. Between a pool, an EV and five humans in my house, those 10 panels do a lot of the work, and now I'm just eating the cost. I have expressed that I'm frustrated (especially because they never call me--I have to follow-up weekly to get them to talk to me), but it just seems like they care to do anything about it. It's just a "we're still waiting". Make some calls, secure the pipeline for the panels, and replace my panels, please. Next step if we cannot move forward in the coming week will be the better business bureau.

It took me 6 mos. to choose the right company for this job because of 41 solar panels in my roof. I had about 14 roofing companies who gave me an estimate and some of them don't do the solar. I did a lot of checking with the companies and I decided to award the project to Elite Roofing, a family owned business, because of the quality of their workmanship, their expertise with the roof and solar, the underlayment they are using, which they explained to me compare to an ordinary felt paper. They even told me that some wood might be in bad shape under the tiles. I was very happy with their work, on time and they clean up at the end of the day. The team worked very precisely to meet the codes and take their time to make sure that no water will leaks to the kitchen and living room ceilings and take pride of their work. The good things about Elite is they have very skilled who are experienced also with solar, all in one company to do the roof and solar. Sunlux corrected the breaker problem, and our system is now back online and producing. My concerns with SolarEdge remain. This is the largest of the five solar systems we have purchased, and we have experienced multiple issues with the SolarEdge system over the years. Most importantly, we received no push notification, email, or other warning when the system went offline and stopped communicating. We discovered the problem only after receiving an approximately $800 electric bill. When I called SolarEdge directly, I was told that they could not work with me as the homeowner and that I had to go through the installer. Fortunately, Sunlux ultimately came out and resolved the current problem, but SolarEdge's monitoring should have alerted us immediately that communication or production data had stopped. Our other four systems use Enphase equipment and have been more reliable and better supported. Based on our experience, SolarEdge's quality, monitoring, and direct homeowner support have been disappointing. On any future system, reliable automatic outage and communication-loss notifications will be an absolute requirement. Sunlux's willingness to come out, diagnose the problem, and restore our system has made an otherwise frustrating experience with SolarEdge much more manageable.

I've had constant problems that were caused by faulty inverters and batteries. LG took care of these problems when Sunlux would not. LG even removed my battery and prorated it. No high pressure and I liked that the solar panels came with two batteries so we could enjoy the solar electricity 24 hours a day. The people at Sunrun changed out our electric breaker box, it was forty years old, just before they installed the solar panels and the two batteries. They were quick and efficient. Four installers came just after 7 a.m. Two on the roof and two on the electrical. I was ready to get into solar power! Then came the news that while they completed the installation before the end of July, we couldn't use the solar panels until first the city inspected and then Edison. They told us that could take until the end of September. We were not expecting that. Our monthly electric bill has reached over $400 a month during the Winter and Summer. The Solar was intended to keep our electric bill at just the monthly cost to Sunrun. I worked in the management side of construction for a few years so I'm familiar with how inspectors can really slow down any project. In my time building fast food restaurants and medical centers I learned how a smart contractor can help inspectors choose your job to inspect over another one. We never had to wait more than a day for any inspection. So, hearing Sunrun would take two months to get our solar inspected and running is very disappointing. If I were starting over again, we would very likely spend more time with their competition to find not just quick construction but getting to use the solar panels in more reasonable time. So Sunrun, you went from 5 out of 5 stars to maybe 3. If the solar is turned on early, I'll improve that rating. If it takes longer then it may go to 2 stars.
