That has not been my experience. What I've seen is a pattern--public replies that look helpful, requests for your information, and then little to no meaningful resolution. Fast forward to 6 months ago, I get a bill from SCE for $6000 saying that it doesn't show panels have been working. I've installed two systems with Semper Solaris. The first system was amazing the second system sucks. They have definitely gotten worse over time. I've had nothing but problems with my system from panels not working to batteries constantly charging and now the inverter has gone out and it's been 6 months of back and worth. They will blame solar edge equipment to prolong their BS the will blame Edison for not having to use the extra electricity used. I've had 3 years of hell including this one where my electricity bill pay back has been $3,765, $1,987 and now we are up to $1,748 already this year a long with our payment of $560 a month. They still haven't fixed my system so I'm having to use another company today to fix it which is going to cost an additional $2,000. Don't use this company ever they are terrible and will not do what their commercial states. The use the vet card to get your business but then leave you hanging in the end and will blame other companies. Where do I even start. I wasn't going to leave a review, however today I was reminded that I should. Got a email from the Better Business Bureau on the company response. I'll be honest the sales rep was good, but soon after is when it all began to fall apart. Miscommunication, independent contractors, giving lower quality services (even though their independent contractor stated the better option ) is what I should be getting! Additionally they contract with mosaic for financing and I have to say that was the crappiest experience I've had in awhile. Came out and gave me quote for a Tesla powerwall $13,250 for one (not enough close to what I need for my power consumption ) I live in a fire zone however they never mentioned anything about the SGIP rebate that has hundreds of millions available for battery backup. Started the solar process in late February. Our salesman was an hour late, pushy, and had zero knowledge about any solar questions we had. He got upset after we told him we'd think about it. Semper sent a new salesman weeks later who seemed like he knew a lot about solar. Waited two months for permits to be approved. They blamed the city for the delay and the city blamed semper. Not sure who is telling the truth at this point. We had our solar completed and this is what was left behind. There's broken tiles, holes in the roof, and misaligned tiles. We did contact Semper immediately after installation and still waiting for a response. We have rain projected for Monday and here we are with an exposed roof. Unfortunately, reg our decision to go with this company. Update #1 after posting my initial review plans were set in place to fix the mess the crew left behind. The same crew that left our roof exposed came back a second time to "fix," things. They were here for a couple of hours and left things at 90% . We now have another appointment to hopefully have our roof at 100% . We have lost money (taking days off from work), time, and most importantly trust. We will update after this weeks appointment. Update *14 months into our system. Our inverter was programmed to shut off at 4pm. Now the inverter has stopped working twice. We are on day 4 of producing 0 kWh. I have been trying for over 1 week now trying to get Semper Solaris to answer their phone to the warranty department. No matter what time of day I call, I'm on hold until their system FORCES you leave your name & phone number for a call back, which they never do. I've left 4 messages asking for a return call, still waiting. I've called my sales rep, left him a message asking for a return call, still waiting. I have selected the phone option for the sales department , which they answer immediately. They can only send a message to the warranty department for a call back, still waiting. I've asked to speak to a manager but of course they are ALL in a meeting. A standard lie given by most companies. I only need a small repair, but that doesn't have any bearing here because they DON'T ANSWER THEIR CALLS. I've had a few other issues with their customer service support, like when I had a question in the beginning about why I was still getting an electric bill, and they were to dumb to simply explain the process of new installs to me. We had our solar panels and batteries installed a few months ago. Some of the equipment quit working a couple weeks ago, and it has been impossible to get someone out to fix it. Nobody would return my calls for the first week. We finally had an appt with a technician to get it fixed and THEY NEVER SHOWED UP! Wasted 4 hours waiting for them to show, no call or nothing. Finally someone called me back and didn't seem to know what was going on. We are now being billed by Edison AND paying on the loan because we don't have working equipment. Then when we got a $1200 bill from SoCal and I brought this to there attention, they wanted to charge me over $6000 to fix there screw up. We had Tanya Harding as our Sales Rep she was very knowledgeable and helpful, she answered all of our questions and was very quick to get back to us when we had more. We went with both a new lightweight concrete tile roof and 30 new solar panels with Semper Solaris. The Roofing crew was quick clean and very considerate, Especially after learning we had my daughter and our newborn granddaughter stayed with us. Our new roof looks amazing and we are very happy with the color and style. The Solar process was pain free, again Tanya helped from start to finish we had 30 solar panels installed it was a quick two day process. I would give them a zero if I could! We have been trying to get our solar, AC unit, and new upgraded panel due to needing more for the solar. It has been beyond difficult to get the work done correctly and timely! We purchased these things back in June 2022 and IT FAILED the final inspection today, MISERABLY! I signed my contract on Dec 12 2022 to have Semper Solaris ( 501 S Falkenburg Rd suite D11, Tampa, FL 33619 https://florida.sempersolaris.com/ ) install an Enphase battery system at my home in Tampa. The battery would connect to my existing 32 Sunpower panels which had been installed by ESA Solar of Orlando in May 2019. The battery system would consist of 1 Encharge 10-1P-NA battery Semper Solaris inspected my existing Sunpower system and stated there would be no impact on my existing warranty from SunPower. The battery installation did not begin until May, and the final inspection was Nov 7, 2023 The installation was outsourced by Semper Solaris to Gulf Electrical Services ( https://gulfelectrical.net/ ) The installation did not even begin until after I had opened a customer service issue with Semper Solaris' corporate office in April due to the lack of communication on project timelines from the local Semper Solaris office. This was 4 months after signing the contract. Prior to the start of the battery installation, my average electric bill was under $35 per month with my existing solar. The battery installation took another 4 months. During this time, there were repeated issues with the connections between the panels and the battery components, which caused my electric bill to increase to over $250 per month because over half of the panels were not correctly connected to the battery system components, and so they were not returning power to the local electrical grid for net metering credit. My existing SunPower monitoring system was disconnected and replaced by the Enphase monitoring system. I later learned that this was considered a justification by Sunpower to void my existing warranty on the 32 panels on the roof There were 2 failed inspections by the county inspections ( Hillsborough county, Florida ) during the installation. During the entire 10 months, Semper Solaris consistently failed. They do not reply to emails or phone calls / messages. They do not provide status updates to communicate, they failed to schedule the project, and repeatedly failed to install the product correctly. Because of the incorrect statement by Semper Solaris that the installation would not impact my existing Sunpower warranty, I have no warranty on my panels now. Around five years ago, I had them put in a new roof. I won't complain about the repair team because when I got my first leak, it came into the house and ruined the window. They fixed it. They did the window. The repair teams are really great but in five years this is 1/3 or fourth leak. I'm having now in the house when you call it'll take 10 days for them to get back to you, I did have somebody come out and they did a small patch area and are supposed to come back and finish and that was three weeks ago. In the meantime it's still raining water still coming in the house I know they will fix the window and repair whatever gets damaged. They're good about that. My problem is the time that they take to come and do it And considering this was a brand new roof I had put on five years ago and this is like my third or fourth leak repair and I have to keep on missing work not getting paid when they come to fix it when two weeks ago I asked if they can come on three certain days I gave them that I was going to be home to accommodate me nobody's called me back I just called and all they can do is give me a case number and they will forward my message crazy but like I said the best repair teams I've seen. read more

After months of researching numerous solar companies I decided to roll with Semper Solaris based on a friends experience and recommendation.  My interaction with the sales rep Rhami was nothing short of outstanding.  Very thorough, responsive transparent throughout the process.  Design phase was also very quick and efficient.  Just waiting on permit approval by the city to proceed with the install.  Semper Solaris consistently remained ahead of their projected schedule throughout the entire process. The city permit approval process was about 6-8 weeks (not Semper Solaris fault). Install team was readily available days after approval. The entire setup was very professionally done (as expected). Well, here goes. I'll try to make this as short as possible without leaving out details. I chose Semper Solars back in January of 2018 because I liked the idea of a company supporting veterans. After making my decision to go with Semper Solaris, I was immediately contacted and the sales rep, Bill Young, came out to give me a proposal on February 5th. Bill was a typical sales person. He was very fast to deliver information, much of which I needed further explanation on. However, he was a nice guy. We actually started talking about guitars and he showed me a few things on mine. The guy was really good! Anyway, I received a quote within 48 hours, which I approved, and we were on our way. I was then contacted by Billie Yako, who introduced herself as the main point of contact. After having a site assessment and getting all the proper paperwork in order, I was scheduled for install on April 5th. I was then introduced to my project manager, Mike Feathers. This is where my issues began. After the first day of a 2-day installation, I contacted Mike Feathers to voice some concerns about the location of a few panels (see attached pictures). I did not like how visible the reverse tilt panels looked from the sidewalk. I asked Mike if it was possible to relocate them. He agreed they didn't look that great. On a 2 dimensional diagram it seemed logical, but after seeing it installed, I inquired about other options. Regardless of my inquiry, the project continued and was completed the next day. I did notice several bolts and debris in my yard that fell off the roof but I guess that is to be expected. I also noticed a cracked tile (picture attached) that was only glued together and not replaced. I stayed in contact with Mike for the next few days as he promised he would look into options about relocating 4 of the panels and would talk to the design team. At this point, Mike stopped responding for 2 weeks and I never heard anything back. I then contacted Billie Yako, which prompted an email from Sarine Porter. Sarine explained to me that Mike Feathers "no longer worked for the company" and that she would look into the matter. She mentioned she would have not known of my issue had I not emailed. Sarine informed me that she would also have Kurt Vangelisti contact me. At this point it felt like if I wanted to have any progress made, I had to keep emailing so they wouldn't forget about me. I would wait about a week, and when no contact was made to me, I would email and get a response. Eventually on May 7th, a month after the install, I was given some options of how to relocate the 4 panels. None of the options seemed much better. I had my own idea in mind, which I proposed via email. After having an accessor come out and look at my plan, I was told it would work on May 23rd. Kurt let me know that moving the 4 panels would cost $600. I agreed to that and they were successfully moved on May 30th (see attached pictures). Lastly, the biggest problem I encountered had to do with part of my contract. During his sales pitch, Bill Young convinced me that I could save energy by installing a variable speed pool pump, which would allow me to use one less panel on my roof. I liked the idea of that and agreed. Therefore as part of my contract, a pool pump was to be installed. I mentioned to Kurt (after finding out that my project manager, Mike Feathers, wasn't with the company anymore) that the pump was never installed as per my agreement with Bill Young. Kurt informed me that Bill Young was also no longer with the company and that Semper Solaris doesn't usually include pool pumps as part of their contract. However, since it was in my contract, Kurt said he needed to find someone who could do the install. I gave him the number of a pool professional in the area. After several weeks of not hearing anything, I was contacted and told that Semper Solaris will not install the pump and would prefer to issue me a $1500 rebate. I thought it was interesting since the pump installer told me he would do the job for $1350 in total. Regardless, I agreed to taking the check. I received the check on July 12th, finally putting a close to my interaction with Semper Solaris. All in all, my relationship with Semper Solaris started on February 5th and ended on July 12th, a total of 5 months. It was a rather frustrating 5 months. Many times I felt like I needed to rattle cages in order to get any correspondence. It was disconcerting that 2 of the people I dealt with were fired or let go during the process. To me, it felt like Semper Solaris was unorganized many times. Everyone I dealt with was cordial and nice. The project, now that it is finished, looks good. However it was the time it took and the constant badgering by me to get things done that causes me to question whether I would recommend Semper Solaris to any of my family or friends inquiring about solar installation in the future. read more

It's been about 5 months since our solar project started. All the panels are up and still waiting for the final inspection. Come to find out they sent the permit without the batteries in the plan. Semper Solaris has not taken any blame but continue to blame the "design team" that the hold up is on their part and they have to resend the plans to county. I called yesterday and NOTHING has yet to be sent to county. We have had 3 no show no calls. We are paying monthly for batteries, solar, AND our electricity bill that's over $1000. My husband is 100% disabled, injured in combat and thought it would be great to give our service to a veteran owned company. We were sadly mistaken. We have had nothing but negative outcomes and this review would be pages long if I went into detail on everything that has happened. We had a generator as backup because my husband needs electricity at ALL times for his medical needs and they disconnected it after installing the batteries. Since then we have had to go without electricity twice and once for half a day. I called them 2 days ago and expressed the need to have the generator be reconnected ASAP and still nothing! A few minutes ago I got an alert from SCE saying that due to severe weather from Hurricane Hillary we may encounter a power outage. If things don't show signs of progression, I will unfortunately be forced to take legal actions. read more

Semper Solaris installed our Back up Tesla Batery. Overall they did an excellent job. The installers were very informative and answered all of our concerns. There was a delay, because of Covid and SCE being very busy. We love our new system. It works perfectly. many years ago we had solar panels installed on our home. Even though Semper Solaris didn't install those, the system they installed works perfectly with our solar panels. If you happen to already have solar panels there are no concerns about it fitting in with Semper Tesla battery. I am a Vet, US Air Force 1968-1971. We engaged with Semper Solaris and put down a $1000 deposit. We had multiple site inspections and even had to docu sign the final site inspection prior to permitting. We spent multiple months doing this with them(they were slow). Then, at the last minute, they said they could NOT do the work (with a contracted price, DocuSign and deposit) without them doing a re-roof on our house. That is total "bait and switch". We spent months and they sent multiple inspectors out and approved the layout and configuration. That was dirty . Now, we are starting all over again with ethical contractor. We have been with this company for a year now. Our light bill is over our budget. We contacted a representative and explained our situation. Semper Solaris offered to pay 2 months of our bill. 2 months? Although the rep offered, i just wanted a resolution for my future solar panel budget/expenses. The issue did not get resolved. The representative told me that a representative would contact me for a quote to add more panels, never called. The rep also said to send her all my 9 statements because she'll review where the error was. Never received a call back or a text regarding our issue. There were no explanation. Now I have a huge light bill, it is increasing daily it seems and a loan payment that went up too. I say shop around for other companies. I just want the issue resolved and to pay less than $1.00 a month as when I first started. They made it sound so easy yet with a huge amount that grows monthly. RIDICULOUS.
