We have been with this company for a year now. Our light bill is over our budget. We contacted a representative and explained our situation. Semper Solaris offered to pay 2 months of our bill. 2 months? Although the rep offered, i just wanted a resolution for my future solar panel budget/expenses. The issue did not get resolved. The representative told me that a representative would contact me for a quote to add more panels, never called. The rep also said to send her all my 9 statements because she'll review where the error was. Never received a call back or a text regarding our issue. There were no explanation. Now I have a huge light bill, it is increasing daily it seems and a loan payment that went up too. I say shop around for other companies. I just want the issue resolved and to pay less than $1.00 a month as when I first started. They made it sound so easy yet with a huge amount that grows monthly. RIDICULOUS. They say the are a Vet friendly company of vets, they are a compete ripoff with astronomical quotes. I was quoted almost $6,000 more for an A/c system then any local installers and for the EXACT same system that SS rips the badges off and puts on theirs. I think they use the "Vet" angle to get business but ripping off vets. Semper Solaris justifies pricing by saying "although we may not be the cheapest vendor out there, we do have superior quality, service, and warranties"...this is an untrue statement. You sell A/C branded under your name that are actually in fact Armana. The warranty you advertise is in fact the SAME warranty the manufacture offers. You are not offering some superior warranty. Its Armana's warranty. Armana while being a good brand is owned by Daikin, who also owns Goodman, and Armana. These are considered "middle of the road" A/C. They are not "Superior quality" my guess is the reason you use them is the markup you get from them. In fact Goodman and Armana are made in the SAME factory in Texas and use Identical parts. The price difference is marketing and some risk on warranty. SS then marks it up even more for profit branded as a SS a/c and its not. That then proves my original points. I really wanted to like SS but twice now I have been disappointed. I stick to my original thought...They play the vet card well and it's part of the business strategy. read more

Had a great experience with Semper Solaris. From the salesman to the workers setting up the AC and the Tesla Battery, they were all courteous and friendly. The salesman was not pushy and gave my as much information as I needed. Once a decision was made to to put in the work order I was given information on how to qualify for rebates which has helped out a lot. Thanks to the rebates I do not owe anything on the Tesla Battery or new AC system. I had already decided to have solar installed and at the referral of a friend went through Semper Solaris. We had scheduled the install for December 14th. I was traveling the country and made it a point to be back home for the install. I called the morning of to confirm they were still coming (nobody had shown up) and was told the project had been delayed into the next month. Then when they did arrive to install the solar the installation team leaned the ladders, panels and rails against my gutter above the front door. I asked them if they had anything to protect the gutters due to the amount of weight they were putting on them. I could see them sag every time they climbed the ladder. They blithely told me they forgot the gutter guards but they would have it fixed. Mind you these gutters were only 2 years old and I had spent extra to not have a seem on the front so they were denting and scraping a 50' piece right over the front door. Within the week someone came out to patch the stucco, initially they didn't paint it and left globs dried on surround conduit; however once I sent pictures in they sent someone out right away to correct that issue. I had also over the next couple of weeks messaged them about the gutter several times because the dents and missing color were visible as you approached the front door; however I didn't receive any response back. Mind you the house is a one story and the roof is accessible from all four sides equally. They could have chose the side not visible from the street. They requested the final payment which I decline to hand over until the damage done to the gutters was addressed. I received a quote from a gutter company for $700 to replace the 50' run; however Semper Solaris stated because they only damaged 6' of the 50' piece they would only be willing to pay about $100. They asked for permission to have one of their men to work on the gutter and paint it. They have painted the piece and while it looks good now, I have concerns that in a year the paint will fade faster then the powder coating. I am very disappointed with the disrespect of someone's property, the unwillingness to make it like new again and that I need to research companies for solar batteries when it could have been a ongoing relationship. read more

I called several different places to get information on solar. I also have a very limited time frame and window that I am able to get outside appointments accomplished, they didn't have any appointments for the day I needed, the tech told me to hd a second and they got me an appointment the next day, otherwise I would have had to wait weeks. They immediately got my project started and always updated me on any waiting we had ( waiting on inspection) etc. They always kept in contact and immediately returned any calls I placed. I had Semper Solaris install 38 panels and two tesla batteries. Everything seemed to be fine. One day, I noticed my panels were not working. I confirmed this by my Solar Edge app, the Tesla app, and the inverter itself. So after looking over the system, I noticed the electrical wiring they installed caught fire and burned a hole through an electrical box, thus almost catching my house on fire. I called them (June 30th), and they said it's a priority call due to a fire hazard, and they will have someone come out in a few days. A few days come and go, and then I receive a phone call on July 6th stating the soonest appointment is July 27th. I thought that was pretty ridiculous, so I eventually got a date around July 14th. Well, low and behold, after the damage, the inverter stopped working. So they had to order a new inverter. At first, they were saying they would fix it (inverter), and then Solar Edge said they were contracting out to another company that I couldn't get a hold of to make an appointment. It is everyone passing the job off to someone else. As far as i'm concerned its Semper Solaris issue since their workmanship caused the issue. I have been without solar for almost 2 months, and it's been a complete nightmare dealing with Semper Solaris and Solar Edge. I should have just stuck with Tesla themselves. read more

I loved the way they showed up in a mask in September but initially they told us it might take until December to complete. But despite permits needed from our city the job was totally completed in October. They gave us a great deal and we didn't have to pay payments for life. Looking at the panel output specs and reputability of their company, Semper Solaris was a no brainer, but Rob Srinivas was very helpful, informative and made both my wife and I feel at ease through the entire process. He was not pushy at all, just there to help us however he could and that's what sold us. It started with the sales person. He was not pushy. He explained the benefits of solar and how we could get it installed on our house in a very simple yet thorough way. A couple of days later the engineers arrived and measured the roof and designed the layout for the panels. A couple of days later we were informed permits were pulled and the panels were ordered. A few days later the installers arrived and started the job. The installers were extremely courteous and went about their job with us hardly knowing they were there. The job was completed in one day and was seamless. 2 days after the installation was completed the city inspector arrived and approved the install, and 2 days later we received permission to operate from SCE. We were on line and producing energy. All in all, start to finish, we couldn't be happier with the process. One star is generous for this company. We had them come out to talk with us about their product. We are in the middle of refinancing our home so we could not move forward with signing a contract or installation. However, we gave a hold check to guarantee, if we decided to go with the company, a Tesla battery pack. We were PROMISED the check would never be cashed since it was just a hold. We were called multiple times by Semper Solaris about what our decision was and we continuously told them we were still waiting on the refi and would be in contact with the company if we decide to move forward. At one point we received a phone call that an inspector was coming over to look at the roof for installation and we had to tell them we were still refinancing our home and couldn't do anything. After more calls, we told them to destroy the hold check and we would contact them once the refi was completed. We thought we were done. Fast forward to Friday, October 25th and this company illegally cashed the $1000 hold check. At no point did we sign a contract with them. We told the company many times that we were not going to sign a contract with them. They had no legal right to cash the check. Now I'm dealing with my credit being in jeopardy over a bounced check while we're refinancing our home. Buyer beware with this scam of a company. We will tell anyone anywhere to avoid this solar company. read more
