He still had a smile regardless. After a little while of trouble shooting he instructed us how to set up our new internet router so that it could reconnect to our solar panels hub station. Michael came back the next day and brought sunshine with him. He had us connected in minutes and left in a great mood with a smile and said goodbye to two happy homeowners. She offered a free panel cleaning, which she set up internally and had their team come out this past Friday without issue. Since the cleaning the panels have been much better performing especially after these past few weeks of misting and rain, about 25% higher output. I didn't think much of it but I get now it's worth doing to get the most out of the panels. Overall a very good response and experience with OC specifically for this issue. I feel that they do want to stand out from the crowd and responding proactively to feedback gives me more confidence they'll take care of issues as they hear about them.

In mid-August our system stopped producing power. We didn't find out until our utility bill came in roughly $600 higher than normal. Since then, we've sent multiple emails and submitted a service request with no response. I finally reached someone by phone and, after escalating to a manager, they committed to sending a technician today at 4pm. No one showed up and no one called. When we call back, we sit on hold, get an auto response we're being transferred to customer support, and then the line goes silent before we are ultimately sent to a voicemail service. A 25-year installation warranty means nothing if the company won't answer the phone or show up. Every day our system is down costs us money. If you're considering OC Solar, ask hard questions about how they handle service after the sale. I'll update this review if they make it right.
