I had multiple issues with my solar system collectively and as offline for almost two years. I contacted ElectriCare and was so impressed with their responsiveness. Allen came out to my home after a couple of email exchanges with pics and to clarify the issues I had. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, personable, exceeding my expectations as a service provider. Allen listened to my concerns, albeit solar is not in my wheelhouse as far of skill set; so thankful Allen was the expert. He assessed the inverter, my app and number of solar panels. He also reviewed if any panels were emitting solar. Once he identified the problem, he contacted Enphase and worked directly through them to enable a Wi-Fi connection on the inverter and through my phone. My solar is now up and running, but since they were down for so long, Allen indicated it will take approximately 45 days for data to download. Everything about our experience with Electricare's design and installation of our home's solar system was 5 star! We began the journey in late May by contacting Dan at Electrum, the company tasked with running SCE's Solar Marketplace. They served as our advocates in obtaining three customized bids, quickly responding to our question, supporting us in adjusting our bids to fit our needs and finances, and checking in with us throughout the selection and installation processes. We chose Electricare to be our installer. They were local and we heard great things about their customer support, responsiveness, professionalism, and their tireless efforts to plow through the local and SCE red tape to get our system installed and activated in a timely manner. They lived up to all of that and more! Electricare contacted us in early June and within a week, completed a site inspection, created a great proposal and started the process of SCE and city approvals. Installation began in early July with a main electrical panel replacement, which took one day, followed the next week by the panel and solar system installation which also took one day. The city quickly signed off and SCE granted Permission to Operate (PTO) two weeks later! All along the way the Electricare team was actively supporting us. They were extremely professional, sensitive to designing a system that met both our electrical and esthetic needs, communicated often with us, provided us tips and insights for using and maximizing our solar system, extremely neat in their work, and careful to make sure the installation, conduit, and boxes matched our paint color and did not detract from the look of the house or roof. They even repaired a paver stone which was accidentally damaged during the installation. The caring, friendly, and professional attitude of the Electricare team was clearly seen in our interactions with each member of the team starting with Arlene who was our constant link with Electricare, keeping us informed every step along the way. She was on top of everything, even anticipating our questions ahead of time and calling us with our answers before we even asked! This level of customer care continued with Alex, the company's COO, who did the sight inspection and designed our system and even gave me a great tip on how to insulate the attic access in the house to prevent heat and cold from entering the house. Chase, who took care of the main panel replacement, and Sean, who took care of the system hook-up and wi-if programming, were great to work with and showed the same customer service we were already experiencing. We were also impressed with Brando, Julio, and Junior who installed the panels for their focus on a quality installation and making sure there was no damage to the roof or house and that the worksite was completely neat and clean when they left, and with Allen, who stopped by to make sure the electrical was installed well and that we were pleased with the work. And finally, to Eddie, Electricare's CEO, who clearly sets the tone for the company and the team, called after we received the PTO to make sure we were pleased with the installation, follow-up with any loose ends, and to walk me through powering up the system. We could not have been happier with the entire process and were extremely pleased with how quickly it all came together. It is all thanks to the team at Electrum and Electricare! This company stands out amongst the very best of the best. My first phone call asking questions regarding the Cool Quiet house fan was answered with professionalism and knowledge. A week later, I met with Aaron from Sales. He was honest, professional and very knowledgeable about the whole house fan and solar. It was these qualities that sold me on their fan/install. Today, I had my fan installed by three of their crew members: Paul R, Aaron C and Jr O. They were each respectful, knowledgeable and courteous throughout the 3 1/2 hour installation. I had one small issue with the install as someone forgot to plug in my air conditioner in the attic. I placed a call to Aaron S telling him my air conditioner was not working. Within minutes after hanging up with Aaron, I received a call from Allen J, construction manager. He tried to trouble shoot the issue over the phone and then drove to my house from Moreno Valley (a 45-minute drive). Again, I found Allen to be extremely professional, as he apologized about the issue. He quickly climbed up into my attic and found the plug unplugged. After apologizing again, he headed back to Moreno Valley in Friday afternoon traffic. I am extremely impressed with this whole company. Each person must have been handpicked for their courteous and professional attitude. It is unusual to find such a customer-oriented company in today's world. My project was suppose to take approximately 90 days and it took a year. Bad communication all the way through. They tried to up charge me part way through the project, Which was not allowed to happen. Then because of bad workmanship and bad communication my system failed county inspection 4 times before it finally pasted. And at one point I was berated by one of the employees and told it was my fault that the county was looking so closely at the system and failing. Still waiting for my system to be turned on. Well Aaron just came and did a review of my system a different Aaron did one last year both very kind and informative. My system produced about 10% more than I expected which was 90% of the energy we use. I used all the roof space available because it is on front of my house and I did not want it to look crowded. I think it looks nice and no problems. One thing that set them apart was they are local because I come from small town I thought it was important to see installers and warehouse first hand. Plus I had to ask a question about the solar being on front of my home. Alan an Electrician greeted me walked me around facility and was happy to take the time and answer my concerns. So I decided to go solar. I met up with the representative from Solar City, Electricare, and Sun Solar. I decided to go with Electricare for several reasons. First, Arron was awesome. He was a bit goofy, but in a good way. He was very knowledgeable and provided me with great service. There was no mystery with him. I knew exactly what equipment I got and how much I was going to pay for it. I wanted to know what panels I was quoted so I can do my research on it. When I ask the rep from Solar City what panels he was quoting me for he just said, "Top quality panels and very efficient." He does not even know what panels he was quoting me for and the rep from Sun Solar tried selling me some discontinued Mitsubishi panels. Arron quoted me on LG Neon 2 panels. I did my research and found they were great panels from online forums, customer and expert reviews. Arron did not pressure me into signing. I told him I was looking at two other companies and he actually told me it was a great idea and I should should look at other companies before taking the plunge. He told me he was confident about Electricare's service, price, and product. Arron was right about his price. He beat the competitor by thousands. So the price was good, the panels were good, and Electricare had been in business for quite so time so I went with them. Arron also helped me with the financing process and application. I decided to buy solar because leasing is for fools. The whole entire process took less than a month. The bulk of the time was waiting on permits and such. The installation only took a day. Cyndi kept me informed on the process through e-mail and phone calls. I never met Cyndi in person, but her voice was so friendly and happy. I looked forward to hearing from her because her voice makes my day! After the installation was complete, Arron came by to my surprise. He remembered making me a promise to re-route my AC water line. When we first met, I had my AC on and my house was built were the excess water drips right over my rear sliding glass door. We laughed about it and he said he would take care of that for me. I thought he was joking, but he came through with his promise. That is great customer service!! I was able to see how each panel was performing from the app. One of the panels was not producing any power. I got a hold of Cyndi and she got me in touch with Allen. Allen knew the problem before I told him and sent out a technician the next day. The technician found it was a defective optimizer. The part was ordered an arrived in 3 days and was replaced quickly. I know there are tons of solar companies out there, but I am very happy I chose Electricare. I am very happy with Arron and all the members of Electricare. We worked with Electricare about a year ago to install our Solar. They communicated with us throughout the process and even worked with a subcontractor to get some work done on our roof that was required before installing the panels. I was extremely pleased with their work and the subcontracted who has worked with many solar companies even gave me a second opinion and said the install looked great! The reason I'm writing this review however is that a year after the install I noticed that one of the panels was producing only about 5% of its expected output. I feel like the true test of a company is how they treat their customers when resolving issues and how quick to resolve issues their customer support is. I emailed Electricare at 8pm on a Sunday night and by noon the following day they had identified the issue with the under-performing panel and had scheduled a technician to come out to replace a bad optimizer at no cost to me. Having Electricare be so on the ball with repairing this issue has made me feel really happy in my decision and decision to go with them for solar. read more
