Their representative repeatedly assured me in writing that there were "no upfront fees or deposit required" and agreed to prepare contingency language allowing me to cancel without penalty if the funding was insufficient. After months of follow-ups, delays, and waiting for management to finalize the paperwork, I was suddenly informed that the company had implemented a "new process" requiring a non-refundable $1,000 payment before they would process the application, engineering review, or other preliminary work.

He never once made me feel like I was bothering him, and the conversations felt genuine and human -- which is something you don't always get when dealing with contractors. They're true professionals, their work is excellent, and their customer service is outstanding. Jonny has been our sales rep and he answered all of my initial questions, walked us through a few options to choose the best system for our house, and gave me plenty of space to make the best decision for our home. Ultimately we went with an Enphase system (which he recommended) because it offers the best products, the longest warranties, options to expand our system later, and the best service if we run into issues in the years to come. The install team at Pacific Sun Tech is full of excellent guys who made our install a breeze, they finished the work right on schedule and with the utmost respect for our property. Devin handled the admin work for PST in a lightning fast manner, coordinating with our utility company and for city permits, she's a great communicator. PST even helped us arrange our financing with a significant 30% rebate upfront and helped us lock in a great rate for our loan as well. Our system is now running like a dream, just in time for peak summer electricity prices, and we couldn't be happier. My only regret is that I didn't hire them years ago to get begin saving this much money earlier, but I have only myself to blame. At least we're in great hands now. If you're thinking of installing solar+battery in the SoCal area, don't hesitate to call and hire Pacific Sun Tech. They're the best in the business and they'll save you money.

Across the street, friends with solar and batteries had their lights on. Their kids were inside watching TV. Life looked normal. Meanwhile, I was packing up my family to leave our home. Rising electricity rates, AI data centers consuming massive amounts of power, and talk of double digit rate increases made going solar the right thing to do. I researched heavily. Built a spreadsheet. Interviewed over a dozen companies. Got bids through Energy Sage, cold called installers, and asked around for referrals. I wasn't looking for a sales pitch. I was looking for people I could trust with my home and my family's security. Infinity Solar felt different from the start. I didn't have to deal with brokers or middlemen to jack up prices. They are family owned, in business over 25 years, BBB A+ rated, and 5 stars on Yelp. Tim, the owner is a C10 licensed contractor, sets the tone for the entire company. His pride and commitment to doing things right shows up in every person on his team. Sara, our project manager, kept everything organized with clear, proactive communication. Blake handled the maze of permitting. If you've dealt with solar permitting in California you know what a mess it is. State, county, city, and fire department all with their own rules. Blake stayed on top of all of it so I didn't have to. Joel made sure the job site ran smoothly. The crew deserves real recognition: electricians Adrian, Ivan, Salvador, and Christian; roof lead Arni; installers Jose, Gabriel, Kieren, Israel, Erik, and Robert; and Deyvis helping with inspection. They showed up on time, worked hard, kept everything clean, and answered my endless questions without ever making me feel like I was in the way. Construction always has bumps. Permits get revised, inspectors want changes. What mattered was how Infinity handled it. Calmly, professionally, and without disappearing. Tim must be a good boss and take care of his people because this is a crew of highly skilled workers who take real pride in what they do. The day the system went live felt like a turning point. Our first outage was December 23rd while setting up for a Christmas party. Power was out over eight hours. The lights never flickered. I only knew because the app alerted me. Tim included a Solar Insure 30 year warranty covering panels, microinverters, wiring, and roof penetrations, including labor. It's backed by an A+ Superior rated third party insurer and is transferable if I sell my home. An installer's warranty is useless if they go out of business, so this gives real peace of mind. Because I verify everything, I called Solar Insure, Enphase, FranklinWH, and REC directly to confirm Infinity is a Premium or Platinum installer with each. They are. I'll break even in 8 years at current rates, sooner when rates keep climbing, and you know they will. But more than savings, it's peace of mind. When the grid goes down, our house doesn't. Review Update: After…read moremy initial review, Eric (the sales rep) and Matt (the owner) of Sunline personally reached out to me and was apologetic about the situation. They sent Travis out promptly, who is their electrician where he found that the issue was resolved by replacing a faulty 40-amp breaker that was intermittently providing the necessary voltage, even though measurements initially appear correct. While the breaker issue caused real inconvenience and unexpected costs on my end, the owner was responsive and showed willingness to smooth things over to work toward a resolution. I also want to highlight that the panel upgrade and solar/battery installation itself was clean and well done. The workmanship that Eddie, Manny, Christian and Jamie performed had overall met my expectations, and once the issue was identified, Sunline did step in to correct it. No project is perfect, but how a company responds when problems arise matters a lot. In this case, Sunline's owner and Eric was engaged, responsive, and made a sincere effort to make things right. As an engineer, and after witnessing the symptoms and corrective actions firsthand, I believe the breaker issue was likely a manufacturing defect, and it was unfortunate that it occurred during the holidays. That said, based on how Sunline handled the situation, the overall quality of their work, and the value they offer, I would recommend them and plan to continue using them for future needs.

Adrian was incredibly responsive and was able to come out by 4 PM that same day. Thankfully, it turned out to be a very simple fix -- the thermostat had accidentally been taken off the "Auto" setting. Adrian quickly figured out the issue, explained what happened, and was extremely kind and professional throughout the visit. What impressed me most was that he didn't even charge us for the service call. He explained that since it was such a simple issue, he was happy to help and wanted to establish a good working relationship with us for our rental properties. That kind of honesty and customer service is hard to find. We really appreciate Adrian going out of his way to accommodate us on a Friday afternoon with only a couple hours' notice. We will definitely be calling Sunline Energy again for our future HVAC needs. Highly recommend!

About a year and a half ago, we got a quote for new windows from Renewal by Anderson and it was completely outrageous! The cost was way too high and the salesman was unprofessional. We ended up getting a quote from Andy's Glass last fall for significantly less money and with a better warranty! Obviously we went with Andy's and the windows were a huge update on our house. We are very happy with the look and quality! The most recent home update they completed for us was a new front door. I already knew exactly what I wanted and they were able to make it happen and again, for a great price! I appreciate that they never try to talk me into something else, they are always on time, and they are very communicative. Our front door was installed by Miguel C and Eric and they did an excellent job. They were on time, polite, and the install went seamlessly! We plan to get another set of French doors and replace a few more windows in the future and I will definitely go through Andy's Glass for those!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE, PLEASE READ!! I was very interested in upgrading to solar power. I did research on the panel manufacturer, Solicius, and found them to be an acceptable panel manufacturer based on what I could find online. About 2 months past once we had the design agreed to (I thought) before I heard anything of substance from My Smart House, until a roofing contractor called me wanting to survey the roofing joists in my house, that same day. I agreed, and the contractor left giving me the impression that the panels could not be installed without removing all the drywall, which was attached to the underside of my roof joists, in the entire second floor of my house. After numerous conversations with My Smart House, many of them in which they argued with me about how the drywall was attached (keep in mind I live there, they sent one person out for 10 minutes), they agreed to send a drywall contractor and a roofing contractor out at the same time to determine the extent of the removals. This never happened. 3 months went by and they finally reached out to me when the financing was about to expire, and they would have been charged by Solicius for the design. By then the construction manager had completely forgotten the reason for they needed to send someone. They eventually resent the same contractor who told me the same thing. All the drywall needed to come down for them to add the structural support. At this point My Smart House finally agreed with me and told me it would be "a couple thousand more dollars". This was a cost they clearly missed and wasted months by not getting it corrected. Had this been identified earlier I never would have agreed to this project. I was fed up with the company, and the added cost made it no longer worthwhile to convert, so I decided to cancel the project. About a month later I received an invoice from Solicius for about $800 for "time and expenses" related to my project. After a long conversation with a financial person on their end they agreed to cover half. I told them the other half should be covered by their agent, My Smart House. They agreed and said they would attempt to get them to cover the balance. After 2 months of no movement, Solicius responded to me that they had yet to work this out with My Smart House, but were dropping all the costs. My interpretation, My Smart House is giving Solicius a bad name and they are realizing it. I had at least 5 different construction managers from My Smart House involved at different points in my project. They appear to have very high turnover rates. They changed the panel layout more times than I could count. I told them when I signed the initial paperwork that I wanted as few panels on the front of my house as possible. The front also happens to be the north side which is the least efficient direction to collect. They sent me so many different layouts that I could not keep track. They settled on a layout during permitting I'm assuming with seven panels on the front. I refused to sign off. They also didn't bother re-run the panel efficiency for any of the revised layouts. They eventually went back to 3 panels on the front but shifted a bunch on other exposures, but never updated the permit documents. The town would've had a fit. I found out after the fact that the original panel layout I signed off on was not code compliant for fire access. Which rolls into my next grip... The permit documents were never provided to me for review. When I received the permit from the Town and requested the drawings, they were completely wrong. The panels layout was wrong (see above), the structural support/reinforcement was wrong (according to the contractor they sent out), and the electrical connection diagram was wrong (per information I gave them at the initial review). Some of this was a direct result of the turnover in construction managers. I became very suspicious of the "cash back" rebates they were offering. While the premise sounds good. A higher first cost results in a higher tax rebate, I read after the fact that many people never received these rebates. I was offered $1500 in cash back at the completion of the project. After I learned of the shadiness of this tactic, I requested they reduce the construction cost by the cash back amount, even if it is meant a lower rebate. This was never adjusted. I've been holding off writing this review for some time but things have just gone far enough where I can no longer hold back. I started the process to get solar panels back in September 2017. I met with representatives from four different companies and finally decided to go with My SmartHouse. They were not the cheapest but I like the fact that it was a veteran owned company and they were making products that were built in the USA. My sales consultant was Gary and he did a great job of explaining everything and making sure My wife and I felt comfortable. After I signed the contract towards the end of September everything was going pretty smoothly and I had my solar panels installed on November 21, 2017. It is now January 16, 2018 and I still do not have working solar panels. I was told that when installing my solar panels they would also install an new and upgraded electrical panel. When the installation took place they did not install the upgraded electrical panel. They told me that I did not need to install the upgraded electrical panel and they would petition to Edison to not have it installed. To me I felt as if they were just trying to be cheap and not install the upgraded electrical panel. After going back and forth with Edison the electrical panel that My SmartHouse was trying to get out of installing still is required and needs to be installed. Now two months since installation of the solar panels I still don't have the upgraded electrical panel installed and do not have working solar panels. Also, there must be a revolving door there because I have been assigned 4-5 different representatives to my project because the representative with keep quitting or getting fired. It is so frustrating to have to re-explain myself and my situation every time a new person comes in and gets assigned to my project. The only explanation I have received from My SmartHouse is that they are waiting on Southern California Edison. It seems to me that they are just passing the blame on. Why wasn't this all figured out to prior to installing my panels back in November?!? To make matters worse my loan payments for the solar panels started in November so now I have been making double the payments. I have to still pay SCE for my monthly electrical bill as well as pay for these panels that do not work!!! My SmartHouse did reimburse me for one of the electrical bills from SCE but this could have been all avoided if they just installed the new electrical panel in the beginning like they said they were going to do instead of trying to cut corners. They promised me a Nest thermostat and a $500 back to me for coming on board with them. Both of those promises still not have been delivered upon and I am told that they will happen when my solar panels are up and operational. The Nest Thermostat and $500 is not worth the headache that I have gone through to get these solar panels. If I could go back I would NOT go with My SmartHouse and have chosen a different solar provider. I will update my review when/if my solar panels ever get up and running. I have not been given an estimated time frame for when things will be completed. I'm basically just waiting with no idea of when things will wrap up. read more

Note: This review is based purely on our solar experience alone. We did not have My Smart House do any other home improvements although they did help us get cash added into our loan so that we could do some landscaping in our backyard. It began with a "door to door" saleswoman (I can't remember her name) who was very friendly and professional. We had told her that we had already had about 3-4 other in home consultations with other solar companies and it never worked out to be cost effective for us. She assured us that they would do the calculations BEFORE our consultation appointment and would only set up the consultation if it did turn out to be cost effective. Sure enough, we immediately were called to get authorization to talk to Edison to get our usage for the past year and a consultation appointment was set. It was really nice that our consultation appointment didn't have to take time going over our usage, etc. That report was already done ahead of time. Our consultation appointment was set up with John Drew. It was a very pleasant consultation. John was very professional and my husband and I quite enjoyed the conversation. John is definitely a "people person" making you feel like you've known him forever. John is very professional and on top of things. When we needed help or had questions throughout this experience, he was quick to respond to get us answers. If you want to get things done, definitely ask for John! He gave us some cool incentives for signing up, too, which included a Nest Thermostat. The installer who installed our Nest, Anthony, was a super nice guy, too! We are so glad we went solar! Solcius is a great solar company. Installation was very smooth finishing at least a couple weeks ahead of schedule so that was a very nice surprise. The communication with Solcius was awesome! They constantly called and checked on us to make sure we knew what the next steps were and wanted to know how the service ha\d been going so far. They definitely wanted to make sure this was a "pain-free" and easy experience. The installers were very professional, friendly, quick, and did a great job cleaning up. They got here in the morning to install and were gone by the time I got home from work in the afternoon. My Smart House offered to do other home improvements for us but it was more cost effective for us to find our own contractors for the other improvements we wanted done. It was a really nice option that My Smart House gave us to be able to add money into our solar loan to be able to have cash on hand to get other work done and be in control of it. read more

Sometimes it feels like things were meant to be, for example, two months ago I was home from work when I got a knock on the door. It was a solicitor from My Smart Home offering information on how solar panels could save me money. My first reaction was how do I get rid of this guy as fast as possible, but for some reason I didn't. He was a pleasant college age man who asked me if I was interested in solar energy, I told him it was something I had considered for years but had not taken action on. He asked me about my monthly electrical consumption and my average monthly electric bill, neither of which I knew any details about. So, we contacted SCE and got all my information. He told me they could save me money with a system designed to meet my needs. He asked if I wanted to meet with a representative to discuss my options in more detail. I said yes, later that same day I had an appointment with Erica Powel. When I met Erica I got a good feeling about her immediately. We began our discussion and we covered all the details. I was impressed Erica's knowledge of all the various aspects of the solar panel process. She answered all my questions and I was ready to decide on their company. However, I thought I should do a little research before I made my final decision. I called a couple of their competitors and found their prices were much less than their competitors. I let Erica know I was ready to sign the contract, and I'm very happy that I did. She continued the great service walked through the entire contract process and answered all my questions throughout. The installation was performed by Solcius. The Solcius employees showed up on time, had great attitudes, and I was impressed with the quality of their installation. I want to give special thanks to Anthony Ybarra (Solcius), Steven Casas (My Smart Home), Cory (My Smart Home), and of course Erica Powel (My Smart Home). I'm writing this review to warn both potential customers and larger contractors who might be considering doing business with My Smart House. My experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare. The owner, Carl, presents himself as someone who cares, even giving out his personal phone number. In reality, it's nothing more than a facade -- the number goes straight to voicemail every time, and he never returns calls. After multiple visits to their office (four times, to be exact), All communication gets deflected to Matthew, who claims to be a manager. Every promise Matthew made to "take care of the issue immediately" turned out to be empty words. The system they installed at my home was not installed properly, yet I continue to be billed monthly. I made it clear that as a paying customer, my issue should be a priority. Instead of action, I received repeated delays, excuses, and false assurances. Their so-called installation coordinator, Jessica, scheduled a service visit for a Friday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. No one showed up. No one called. When I finally reached out, she casually told me the contractor "went home sick" and that I'd need to reschedule -- with zero proactive communication from their side. I gave them another chance and rescheduled for the following Monday. The result? Same story: no one arrived, no calls, and their phones just rang endlessly. This is not just poor service -- this is a pattern of dishonesty and neglect. It's clear to me that this company is not structured to serve customers, but rather to sign contracts, take money, and disappear once problems arise. If you are a homeowner, do not trust this company with something as important as your solar installation. If you are a large contractor or partner, I strongly encourage you to reconsider working with them or at least follow up with their customers directly, because their internal accountability is nonexistent. I just want to say thanks to My Smart House MSH for my new solar power, & Manager Matt & his crew, for excellent professional delivery of our solar system this week. We need air conditioning for health concerns. In this desert climate, our electric usage has been huge & it's not 'optional' when it's over 100°F outside most summer & fall months! My Smart House (MSH) service is great! They installed our initial 12 solar panels then we had them install additional 8 panels a year later, to exceed energy production for the amount of power usage. MSH was here on the appointed date and time for both installation processes. The processes involved completed site surveys, drawing submittals, and panels install. The prolonged delay to connect to the grid was not MSH's fault, but at the backlogged availability of the externally controlled County Inspector. Once the Inspector approved the installation and grid connectivity, My Smart Home quickly gave a progress update with all systems Go! Beautiful power production and no deficiencies in workmanship. Later, MSH deployed the QuietCool Advanced Whole House Fans installers to put an indoor fan duct in the upstairs ceiling of our 3,652 sq.ft. house thus remotely pulling the morning/ evening cool air from outside the house. The owner, Derrick Apodaca, was hands-on in charge of the fan installation. He and his Helper did a professional installation and thoroughly cleaned and set our furniture back in place. Not only does this fan cools, it is a whole house air exchanger; getting rid of the stale air and circulating fresh air in minimal time. And its operation is quiet. I was very nervous about having Solar installed and took a lot of time and did a lot of research. I met with Nickolas Goad, a sales rep. He was very professional and was able to explain solar and the process of installation in a way that I could understand. He was able to calm my anxieties about making such a large investment, especially as a single woman. I had read a lot of horrible reviews about other solar companies that gave me reservations. However, I had read positive reviews about My Smart House and Solcius. I received calls throughout the entire installation process updating me and letting me know what the next steps were and to answer any questions I may have had. The installation went very smoothly. The team that came to install the panels was very professional and explained everything and answered all of my questions. They did a fantastic clean-up job. I then was contacted about the process of switching from SCE to solar and what to expect and the time frame. I have had the system running for 17 days and it is going just as anticipated. Today Austin came out to install my new thermostat. He was very kind and professional and explained the system and got me set-up online. I have officially completed the installation of my solar panels and Nest thermostat with My Smart House and Solsius. I am really excited with the results. During the panel installation the company took care of all the leg work when it came to dealing with the city permits and any other issues. I just sat back and let it happen. For the most part, I was not home as I am an elementary school teacher who lives at work. For my add-on I chose to get the Nest thermostat. The gentlemen who came out and to install it was very friendly and helpful during the process. He also helped me set up the app and answered any questions that I had during the process. He was quick making sure everything was working properly before leaving. I love that the Nest is already learning our life style and the way we want our home heated now that the nights are a bit chilly. I am happy that I chose to go with the people at My Smart House. They have a great crew in place in each of their different departments that I dealt with. They all worked well together from the sales person to installation of both the panels and the Nest. With any major home project there's always glitches. I have to admit from beginning to end it could not have been any smoother. From my initial sitdown with their rep till yesterday when Levi stopped by with an easy to read manual highlighting all that was done, contact information and other pertinent information, we could not be any more pleased. Compliments to Austin who always made himself available to answer questions and educate us. The staff in Riverside always kept us informed. There was constant communication every step of the way. When a City Building Inspector is pleased and has only one small item to be changed (moving a junction box on the roof), as the owner, it sure increased our confidence level. All crews were courteous, efficient, and clean. Oh yes, our SCE bill is basically non-existent! And remember, this was done at the peak of the heat we experienced in August. And the phone app gives us up-to-the-minute information on electrical panel generation. Nice. Cost-wise, we really swapped our SCE bill for solar payment. And now we're not tied to the increases SCE will be doing down the road. And total cost of the job was very competitive. Happy, happy! read more

It's been a long journey with My Smart House: from early spring 2019 when we signed papers to yesterday when we drove up to their Murrieta office to collect our promised $1000 incentive. As many of these reviews reflect, the installation working with Solcius went well. There were a few hiccups, but no big deal. The system has been running for almost a year now and everything seems to be working great! After the install, reaching someone on the phone was very difficult. We we're promised delivery of our incentive several times, and it never came. My understanding is there have been several changes in staff, and of course there are the circumstances created by the pandemic. However, since early March, we have been working with Kandi and Eric, and as of yesterday, My Smart House has delivered on all of their promises. For those of you waiting on your incentives, I would encourage you to contact Eric directly. He really does seem determined to right the ship. Bottom line: if you're looking to install solar and My Smart House offers you a deal, you may need to be patient, but you can trust they will come through. read more

We recently moved to southern CA and knew we wanted to get solar. Emily Joyner from My smart house came out and gave us very detailed information, answered all our questions and laid everything out in detailed. We shopped around a bit and found they had the best quality product, competitive pricing and fast turn times. We started with them in October and they had the solar panels installed before Thanksgiving! They also added in a quiet cooling whole house fan and a variable speed pool pump. The costs and payments ended up being exactly what they quoted and the production of the solar panels so far has been pretty accurate from what they quoted. I've been very impressed with their customer service team, we get frequent calls and emails with updates and follow ups for installation. Their installation crews have been very professional and knowledgeable and did a great job. Overall we have been very impressed and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for solar. Since they cover most home upgrades for energy efficiency we intend to use them again should we ever need to upgrade our windows, doors etc. read more

We live in new homes and during the panel install they ran into a few snags that caused them to have to come back and complete the work at a later time, but the company took care of all the leg work when it came to dealing with HOA and any other technical issues. For our add-on we chose to get the doorbell camera. Austin came out and was very friendly and helpful during the process. He also helped me set up the app and answered any questions that came up during the process. The install itself was so fast, probably about a half hour or so, and he made sure everything was working properly before leaving. We are glad we chose to go with the folks at My Smart House, they seem to have a great crew in place and the different departments we dealt with all worked so well together. All in all we are happy with the results and look forward to having the benefits of solar energy in our new home. read more

Best experience ever, I would not hesitate to make any referrals to them. From the first point of contact when Kevin knocked on my door, I felt that he was honest and open in his approach. Because of that I decided to consider getting the solar system. After meeting with Yesenia, the solar specialist, I reaffirmed my decision. She was a true professional, knowledgeable and approachable. She coordinated everything with her back office assisting me in the application, sorted out the financial matters and set the installation. The installation was done four days later, the installer and crew were personable and polite. Today was the final inspection, coordinated by DeMarcus, who went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that everything was as it should've been. OK so it's been 10 months since I've had Soler with Smarthouse and I was promised a rebate and I have not received anything in the last past month. All I've been getting was a runaround that I was gonna get an email with a check number and every Friday I get a phone call from Smart house employee telling me that they are sorry but no rebates are going out at this time and come to find out I was supposed to get my rebate three months after having Soler not sure if this company is going under but I do not recommend anyone getting solar from smart house. They're a bunch of crooks and liars. also, this summer I use my AC thinking that I would be OK because I have Soler Well that was not the case. I was also receiving a bill from the electric company it was between 200 and $300 a month and they also promised that I wouldn't have a bill at all. They will tell you anything and everything you want to hear and promise you the world but they are all full of especially when it comes to getting a rebate. read more

Had a rep come to the door because they were doing some work in the area, had contact with the company quickly and they worked with us over the next few months working the plan down to a price range we could afford being on a fixed income. Josh worked with us tirelessly and once we settled on the price and agreed to the terms their installation team came out the very next day and installed everything. The installation took all of 3 days. With in the end of the month we were live and already working.off the solar. Along with this, we are getting a quiet cool system ring camera, nest thermostat, energy efficient plugs and lightbulbs for the house. I cannot recommend this company enough. Outstanding customer service, were in contact weekly throughout the process and answered any and all questions we had, and we had a lot. They were very patient, never pushy to force you into the decision. If you are looking for solar, I fully recommend you add My Smart House to your research list. read more

LOST ACCREDITATION FROM THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!!!! WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!! When you sign up you will never hear from them again until your cancellation period is over and then they threaten and harass me with charging me 10% of my contract price!!!! for a cancellation fee!!!!! RIDICULOUS!!! SOLCIUS and MY SMART HOUSE are crooks!!!!! Most of the employees that originally contacted me no longer work there. They never answer the phone or respond to emails. I'm glad I did not get installed by them, my neighbors have been waiting for over 6 months after they were granted permission to operate and have not received any "adders" or "incentives" when signing up that were promised to them. Not only that they added it to their contract price!!!! Paying for services or products that have not even been received! How are they still allowed to operate!!! I had a very disappointing experience with this solar company. Initially, they offered a price that seemed unreasonably high compared to others in the market. When I reached out via phone and email to cancel the agreement, I was told by the CEO that he would "review the offer" and come back to me with a better rate. That sounded fair at first, but unfortunately, I never received any follow-up with a revised proposal or even a confirmation of my cancellation request. It's been quite some time now, and the lack of communication and transparency is very concerning. As a customer, I expected at least a formal response--either honoring my cancellation or presenting the updated offer they promised. This level of service doesn't inspire trust, especially for such a significant investment like solar installation. I would strongly recommend exercising caution before entering any agreement with this company. read more

After months of delay due…read moreto permitting and weather (outside of SunPower's control), my 28 solar panel and 4x Tesla gen2 Powerwall setup was finally commissioned and online as of May 11th, 2023. Everything turned on and worked, I am beyond ecstatic! I now have plenty of solar panels and battery, with 11.5 KW of peak solar, and 4x Tesla gen2 Powerwalls at 54 KWH of energy storage to power my Tesla and everything in the house. The only miscommunication was when I checked the critical battery load list, they didn't put my mini-split AC / heater on it initially. When I complained about it the manager said they usually don't put air conditioning on backup uploads to protect the Tesla Powerwall batteries. I explained that before the solar project started I installed an energy efficient mini-split AC / Heater system that has slow soft start capability and is battery friendly, and confirmed with the engineer who installed the mini-split AC system, as well as SunPower's engineer. I have plenty of sun and battery power to operate this AC system, the math works out. SunPower by Precis then came back a month later to change the backup load, free of charge. Now everything is working perfectly and I can charge my Tesla with the power of the sun and power the entire house, including mini-split AC / heater, and be unaffected by extended power outages. If you install battery friend mini-split AC systems, and want it on the backup load, just make sure you communicate that clearly ahead of time with their engineers and ensure it gets added to the critical backup loads sheet with their managers/installers because putting AC on critical battery backup is non-standard, especially not the traditional HVACs that have a large spiky startup current that's really bad for batteries.
