These are the owners very unprofessional
    Beatris M.

These people fucked up a piece of wood from my addict and never got fixed. Luckily, we were able to find out almost a year later cause somebody went in there to check where the leak was coming from, but they never said anything which wouldn't be the first time they do something like this I tried calling them and nobody answers. I tried calling, and the phones are disconnected.

    What they left

I have already wrote a part one. Bottom line is still no battery install since April 2025. Carl is a liar and a con artist. Sending me video of my solar panels/battery when the electric wasn't even hooked up. I have multiple text messages. They removed batteries in September promising to install correct system. They tell the bank they are waiting for electric company to do final improvement. I have pictures and text messages.

We recently had a storm. Come to find out My Smart House left the roof unfinished and as a result the roof leaked water in our attice destroying the master bedroom ceiling. Surprisingly they responded and came out the next day to see the damage as a reult of their neglect and mismanagement. They finished the roof a day later but did not show up again as sched nor did they communicate anything to us until I called everyone and lett messages, b/c they wont answer any calls.

Contract agreement with gift card never delivered.

I was promised a gift card of $400, which is on the contract. That was never received. Also, a discount and price was guaranteed and never delivered. It's been quiet a few months now and I've tried reaching out to Ben with no response. The people/company that installed the solar panels did great work and I've had no issues with them. It's My Smart House that has been an issue. Be careful with what you sign and agree to. My Smart House is suppose to be veteran owned and that was the main reason why I went with them. I have the contract/paper work signed that I can and will post on here soon.

Customer service department again offering nothing by lies. Going on 3 months and still no check.

Just an update. After my review, I was immediately contacted and once AGAIN provides false information. I have yet to see the $1000 cash back incentive offered during purchase of my solar panels 10 months ago! See below

They're true professionals, their work is excellent, and their customer service is outstanding. Jonny has been our sales rep and he answered all of my initial questions, walked us through a few options to choose the best system for our house, and gave me plenty of space to make the best decision for our home. Ultimately we went with an Enphase system (which he recommended) because it offers the best products, the longest warranties, options to expand our system later, and the best service if we run into issues in the years to come. The install team at Pacific Sun Tech is full of excellent guys who made our install a breeze, they finished the work right on schedule and with the utmost respect for our property. Devin handled the admin work for PST in a lightning fast manner, coordinating with our utility company and for city permits, she's a great communicator. PST even helped us arrange our financing with a significant 30% rebate upfront and helped us lock in a great rate for our loan as well. Our system is now running like a dream, just in time for peak summer electricity prices, and we couldn't be happier. My only regret is that I didn't hire them years ago to get begin saving this much money earlier, but I have only myself to blame. At least we're in great hands now. If you're thinking of installing solar+battery in the SoCal area, don't hesitate to call and hire Pacific Sun Tech. They're the best in the business and they'll save you money.

Absolutely First-Rate from Start to Finish When the fires…read morehit Southern California and we lost power for two weeks, something changed for me. I remember standing outside one night listening to my neighbor's generator roar to life again. It sounded like a chainsaw tearing through the quiet. Across the street, friends with solar and batteries had their lights on. Their kids were inside watching TV. Life looked normal. Meanwhile, I was packing up my family to leave our home. Rising electricity rates, AI data centers consuming massive amounts of power, and talk of double digit rate increases made going solar the right thing to do. I researched heavily. Built a spreadsheet. Interviewed over a dozen companies. Got bids through Energy Sage, cold called installers, and asked around for referrals. I wasn't looking for a sales pitch. I was looking for people I could trust with my home and my family's security. Infinity Solar felt different from the start. I didn't have to deal with brokers or middlemen to jack up prices. They are family owned, in business over 25 years, BBB A+ rated, and 5 stars on Yelp. Tim, the owner is a C10 licensed contractor, sets the tone for the entire company. His pride and commitment to doing things right shows up in every person on his team. Sara, our project manager, kept everything organized with clear, proactive communication. Blake handled the maze of permitting. If you've dealt with solar permitting in California you know what a mess it is. State, county, city, and fire department all with their own rules. Blake stayed on top of all of it so I didn't have to. Joel made sure the job site ran smoothly. The crew deserves real recognition: electricians Adrian, Ivan, Salvador, and Christian; roof lead Arni; installers Jose, Gabriel, Kieren, Israel, Erik, and Robert; and Deyvis helping with inspection. They showed up on time, worked hard, kept everything clean, and answered my endless questions without ever making me feel like I was in the way. Construction always has bumps. Permits get revised, inspectors want changes. What mattered was how Infinity handled it. Calmly, professionally, and without disappearing. Tim must be a good boss and take care of his people because this is a crew of highly skilled workers who take real pride in what they do. The day the system went live felt like a turning point. Our first outage was December 23rd while setting up for a Christmas party. Power was out over eight hours. The lights never flickered. I only knew because the app alerted me. Tim included a Solar Insure 30 year warranty covering panels, microinverters, wiring, and roof penetrations, including labor. It's backed by an A+ Superior rated third party insurer and is transferable if I sell my home. An installer's warranty is useless if they go out of business, so this gives real peace of mind. Because I verify everything, I called Solar Insure, Enphase, FranklinWH, and REC directly to confirm Infinity is a Premium or Platinum installer with each. They are. I'll break even in 8 years at current rates, sooner when rates keep climbing, and you know they will. But more than savings, it's peace of mind. When the grid goes down, our house doesn't. Infinity Solar gave our family back a sense of stability. I'm grateful we chose them.

Review Update: After…read moremy initial review, Eric (the sales rep) and Matt (the owner) of Sunline personally reached out to me and was apologetic about the situation. They sent Travis out promptly, who is their electrician where he found that the issue was resolved by replacing a faulty 40-amp breaker that was intermittently providing the necessary voltage, even though measurements initially appear correct. While the breaker issue caused real inconvenience and unexpected costs on my end, the owner was responsive and showed willingness to smooth things over to work toward a resolution. I also want to highlight that the panel upgrade and solar/battery installation itself was clean and well done. The workmanship that Eddie, Manny, Christian and Jamie performed had overall met my expectations, and once the issue was identified, Sunline did step in to correct it. No project is perfect, but how a company responds when problems arise matters a lot. In this case, Sunline's owner and Eric was engaged, responsive, and made a sincere effort to make things right. As an engineer, and after witnessing the symptoms and corrective actions firsthand, I believe the breaker issue was likely a manufacturing defect, and it was unfortunate that it occurred during the holidays. That said, based on how Sunline handled the situation, the overall quality of their work, and the value they offer, I would recommend them and plan to continue using them for future needs.

He explained that since it was such a simple issue, he was happy to help and wanted to establish a good working relationship with us for our rental properties. After doing some research and consulting ChatGPT to better understand the symptoms, I concluded that the most likely cause was a failed dual-run capacitor. I also watched several YouTube videos showing that replacing the capacitor is generally a relatively simple repair. Although I considered replacing it myself, I decided it would be better to pay a reputable HVAC company to confirm the diagnosis and perform the repair. My wife spoke with a friend who highly recommended Integrity, describing the company as honest and trustworthy. Based on that recommendation and the company's excellent reviews, I scheduled a service call and agreed to pay the $125 diagnostic fee. The technician, Josh, arrived, and I explained that the condenser was operating but the fan was not spinning. I also told him that I suspected the capacitor had failed. Josh retrieved a test capacitor from his truck, disconnected the leads from the existing capacitor, and connected them to his test part. The entire process took about ten minutes. When he restored power, the condenser fan immediately began spinning. At that point, I was genuinely impressed. His quick test appeared to confirm exactly what I had suspected: the capacitor had failed. Since replacement capacitors generally retail for around $20, I assumed the repair would involve installing a new capacitor, with a reasonable markup for the part, labor, expertise, and company overhead. Instead, Josh listened to the fan and commented that it did not sound very good and appeared to wobble slightly. He then returned to his truck to prepare several repair options. He remained in the truck for what seemed like an unusually long time for what I believed was a straightforward capacitor replacement. Eventually, I walked out and told him that the amount of time being spent preparing a plan made me concerned that this was about to become a lengthy and expensive repair. I explained that this was not what I was looking for. Josh said he would be finished in a few minutes, so I returned to wait. When he came back, the first option he presented was to replace the capacitor for approximately **$1,000**. He then began describing another option that included replacing the condenser fan motor. That repair would have added approximately **another $1,300-$1,600** to the bill, on top of the capacitor repair. At that point, I stopped him. I told him that I had researched the capacitor and understood it to be a part costing approximately $20. I directly asked whether I was mistaken in understanding that I was being quoted $1,000 to replace a roughly $20 part. Josh responded by asking whether I had gotten that information from ChatGPT. I told him that I could not justify spending $1,000 to replace such an inexpensive part, even allowing for labor, expertise, insurance, overhead, and a reasonable profit. At that point, the proposed price changed. Josh explained that the original estimate involved a higher-quality or premium part. He said that if I wanted a standard capacitor instead, the repair would cost approximately **$500**, with the $125 diagnostic fee applied toward that amount. Feeling somewhat relieved that the price had dropped from $1,000, I tentatively agreed. Josh then went to his truck to retrieve the standard capacitor. Fortunately for me, he did not have one available. We therefore scheduled a return visit for the following Monday. After Josh left, I replayed the entire interaction and became increasingly uncomfortable with how the visit had unfolded. The test capacitor had already demonstrated that replacing the failed capacitor allowed the fan to operate. Yet the initial proposal was approximately $1,000 for the capacitor replacement, followed by a substantially lower price only after I challenged the estimate. I also looked up replacement fan motors compatible with my condenser and found them listed on Amazon for approximately **$100-$300**. I understand that retail part prices do not include diagnosis, professional installation, warranties, company expenses, or profit. However, that comparison made the proposed additional charge of $1,300-$1,600 for the fan-motor replacement even more difficult for me to understand. Rather than wait until Monday, I went to Home Depot and purchased the correct capacitor for **$21**. After reviewing the replacement procedure again, I installed it myself in approximately ten minutes. The condenser fan immediately began spinning, and the air conditioner cooled our home normally, just as it had before the capacitor failed. I called the company and canceled the follow-up appointment. I want to emphasize that Josh was polite, personable, and easy to talk to throughout the visit.
