Monks just told me they wouldn't be able to service me any longer AFTER Gary Monks left without completing the job he came here to do! Gary also scolded me about not doing homework I NEVER received and which Gary was unable to do. NO ONE told me I had to have Google Home & the Nest app downloaded and set up prior to his visit. Now if they come back and say I was rude to the Office Staff, that is probably true because they cut in to a VERY important call I was on and the girl that called did NOT STOP talking so I had to raise my voice and STOP her before I lost my important call! And yes I should have ignored their call but I just moved in, I have no family to help me and I couldn't have kids so yes throw that in my face if you want to but I have A LOT of irons in the fire and I have no help. I moved to a more affordable city that is extremely far (Burbank & Santa Clarita) and I didn't want to ask for them to drive that far just to help me. And, Yes I am very independent; I trained, rode & showed horses my entire adult life until recently when my 2 BAD accidents; actually 3, 1 non-horse related, that have caught up with me so now I am in pain 24/7; sometimes I can be a bit grumpy--you would be too if you had the pain I have. Yes my attorney agrees. Thanks for reading. read more

Monk's Air Conditioning & Heating - the thermostat Gary put back in it's place. - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Menifee, California

Arrived on time. Did what I asked them to do. And the price was not more than I expected. Have used them in the past at a different house. Did great work on that older air conditioner. read more

We can't say enough about the excellent service we have received from Monks! They installed a complete AC system with new ducts, and all has been great! They have our highest recommendation! read more

Techs came as promised. Fixed my problem with air conditioner pretty quickly. And charged just for the visit. Didn't try to oversell anything. I love them. read more

I made an appt for a service on my AC. They came on the wrong day without calling. The service tech just walked into my house without identifying himself, and bigotry had to ask him to step out until I know who he was. They diagnosed problem as a breaker and saidbthanks by. They never fixed my problem, and my AC still doesn't work. When talking with the ' BOSS,' Same old shit you know ,rude obnoxious zero customer service, attitude. Probably a Trumper. I'll sweat before I call them back read more

Gary & his father are the most honest people I've ever met in the a/c business. There business goes back generations when Menifee & Sun City where just being built. There prices are great. I couldn't imagine using anyone else to service my a/c or heater. A big thumbs up & 5 stars rating for them. I must mention there receptionist is the most kind, patient, & understanding woman I've ever spoken to when I need help. Thanks ya,all. read more

If I could give them more stars I would, the customer service is outstanding! It starts with Tiffany, she's personable, knowledgeable and you can tell she cares for the clients AND the techs. Next, Gary - I can't say enough great things about him, again OUTSTANDING customer service. My AC unit is as old as the house (almost 20 years old) and I was grilling him a little to see if I needed to replace my unit (if that doesn't work then what...... then what after that..... and worse case scenario is.....) he never pushed that I needed to replace the whole unit and didn't try and upsell me. It was at that moment that I knew I found a great company, who cares about their customers. If you are looking for a company to call for service or repair, stop your search now and call!!!! If they don't answer leave a message, they WILL call you back. You won't be disappointed. read more

I was told to call monks when my air conditioning wasn't working. I left four messages over several days and never got a return call. I finally found someone else. read more

Couldn't ask for better service. Decided to get a second opinion after the "home warranty" company said I needed a new furnace -- uh, no, I don't think so. Come to find out that contractor had completely put in the wrong part, that's why the furnace wasn't working! Gary replaced the tiny part that was wrong, and what do ya know, furnace working just fine. Reasonable, too. They've also replaced some tubing that needed to be copper that wasn't, and I'm having them do some other work. I trust the company's expertise, and would recommend Monk's for any HVAC service. read more

If I could give Monks Air Conditioning a TEN star I would. They are very honest trustworthy and reasonable. I highly recommend them from the get go from Chelsey in the office which is so sweet to Gary and his crew what a top notch experience/Company. We will definitely only use Monks from now on.. We had different Company come out before Monks and the first company said we needed to replace the unit. Monks got our unit up and running for a reasonable price!! read more

Very reliable company and easy to work with. Would highly recommend Monk's air conditioning

I highly recommend monks HVAC Steve and his son are great very honest highly qualified very much appreciated thanks a ton Monks AC!!!!!!

5 star customer service . Tiffany was professional friendly and communicated effectively. I appreciated her scheduling me as soon as possible especially since it's the Christmas season . And to think I was going to cancel my appt . Wrong ? I'm so grateful Gary came to the house . There was a major problem and a part needed to be ordered . Gary was honest and explained the diagnosis and the price . They were fair and reasonable. Gary came the next day in the storming rain and repaired my HVAC because I had none and I had my baby grandson. I am beyond grateful to Monks . I saw them on our Nextdoor and I see why they were highly recommended. I am in agreement . You can't go wrong and they are the best . Thank you Gary, dad and Tiffany . Melanie B read more

Monks air conditioning was very professional and efficient. Their prices are very fair and work quality an A+. It's great to find an honest company that also does great work. Thank you! read more

Monk's is legit! So, we had quite a saga with our A/C system over the last few months. One day, back in May, it stopped cooling properly. We got another company (the only one available) to come out and charge up the system. It was 6 lbs low. Not good. We had a fairly significant leak, but were able to work through it. We had a weird circumstance, but long story short, the original company we called wasn't able to do the work for us to replace our compressor unit (diagnosed as the problem). Enter Monk's. We called them out for a consult, they agreed that the compressor needed replacement, and quoted us. Set up the install, and we were good to go. They did the install yesterday, and I couldn't be happier. Very professional, quick work, and excellent quality. The replacement unit started up great, and started cooling the house immediately. Monk's not only did great quality work, but they did everything they could to provide us with a reasonable price. Ended up paying less for Monk's than I was quoted by other companies, and probably got a better service. You won't be disappointed with Monk's! read more

We have two A/C units on our Menifee property that are serviced every year. One unit was leaking from outside of the home which was odd because I personally never seen this happen before. Although it seems to be a small issue I still wanted it to be addressed. I sent a few request via Yelp and Gary responded right away. He came out to the property within 24 hours. He assessed the issue and fixed it within an hour. He warranties all his work for a year and we're happy to say he is our go-to A/C maintenance man!! Thank you, Gary, for such professional work! read more

We had Monks come and check our AC unit (15 years old) and they found a leak in the coils. Provides us 2 quotes 1 for repair and 1 to replace and we decided to replace. We purchased a new AC which was very reasonably priced and the service was great. They even fixed my side gate latch! It's the little things that make everything so much greater! read more

It's been about two months since Monks Air came to our house and installed two new units. WOW! First...Tiffany, who is your first contact when you call Monks Air was very responsive, attentive, and communicated very well with us. Gary and Mr. Monk both came to our house and installed both units. The care, professionalism, and timely manner that they used to carry off this installation was GREAT. Living in an area where it gets very hot in the late spring all the way to early fall - having a reliable working A/C unit is very important. Their new Carrier Units that replaced our 2004 units are so much quieter and efficient. The cost of replacing our two units were very reasonable and beat out the two other quotes that we had from different companies. To add to our great experience by using Monk and their Carrier Units: My last two electric bills show a DECREASE in price and we are using the AC units more this year than before, and that just tells you have efficient the new Carriers are. MONK TEAM - Thank you! read more

I had the Monks crew come out over a month ago to replace my A/C unit which was a Carrier Infinity Series, 5.0 ton condenser. Gary plus dad came out and they were very professional and gave me an honest diagnosis of the problem. They installed the new unit within just a week right before the heat wave came. They offered me the lowest price and even worked with me on payment options. Great service, would highly recommend. read more

We called Monk's last night in a panic because our air conditioner stopped pumping out cold air. The very sweet lady in the office was really kind, and super helpful. She scheduled someone to come out and diagnose the problem first thing this morning. Steve came out first thing in the morning, was able to quickly find the problem, and replaced the part within 20 minutes. He was really helpful! It was also really affordable, we definitely never felt ripped off or taken advantage of. I highly recommend them! Thanks so much Monk's for the speedy and honest service!! We appreciate it! read more

My husband and I would like to thank Monk's Air Conditioning for coming to our rescue and fixing our air conditioning unit that was incorrectly installed by a very unethical company. Monk's went out of their way to treat us kindly and fix the ongoing issues with our unit. We now have a well working unit and are comfortable in our home. Thank you so much to Monk's. They are outstanding in the quality of their service, and their kindness in helping us with our situation was unforgettable and so appreciated. Mike & Judy Hansen read more

Very pleased with the service. Checked everything out and found the problem. Didn't try to sell us something we didn't need. I will definitely call them again. Very professional family owned business. So glad we called monk. read more

They are simply the BEST! Quick, honest and fair. I highly recommend them, do not call anyone else. It is nice to know that there are still family owned companies out there looking out for their customers. Thanks for the GREAT service! read more

Monk's Air Conditioning was VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to us by a friend who has used their services exclusively for a long time. We had been blown off by another company so took her advise and called Monk's this morning. Not only were they at our home within two hours of our call, but they fixed the problem immediately for a very reasonable price! We are now loyal customers of Monk's and so appreciative of their professionalism, fast response time, knowledgeable employees and affordable prices. Thank you, Monk's!! read more

First: The woman who schedules the appointments was very nice (and sympathetic in this weather). Second: Once I described the symptoms, Jerry said, "It's probably the capacitor" - popped the cover to verify, replaced the part and the condensor immediately came back to life - that part took about 3 minutes flat. He tightened up a few things, replaced some caps and O-rings, re-charged the coolant, and I am enjoying air-conditioned comfort once again! Many thanks! read more

Had a great experience with this company. They were very professional both when I called and in person when they arrived. They were here just a few hours after I called them and they had my A/C unit working again within 30 mins and did not try to upsell me in anything I didn't actually need. Very impressed, definitely recommended! read more

My moms AC was acting up and we were referred by a customer. Messaged off yelp on a Friday and they were able to get her system up the next day. Beyond impressed! Had them out to service our air conditioner a week later and I am very happy with them. Great customer service and will refer them out to friends. Thank you! read more

I just had major work done on my air conditioning, and I am "chillin" now, thanks to Monks. I had the pleasure of having Gary performing the work and I have to say he a top notch professional. I started off calling Monk's, but they were booked up on the major work so I got a couple of other quotes. Went with the lower one (obviously) and was blown off twice by repairman. Having taken a day off from work, I was not pleased. I reached out to Monk's and they worked me in, since we have not had air all summer. Everyone I have had contact with are professional and kind. I am thoroughly thrilled I heard about this company. If you need a/c service or repairs I am sure you will feel the same way. read more

Just moved in from NY. AC worked for summer. Never checked for heat when buying house. Turns out thermostat was bad. Luckily I had bought ecobee4. I saw their sticker on my unit. So they knew machine. Gary came, diagnosed, and installed my new ecobee. Looks like I found reliable business in my area. No hidden fees ect. read more

Monk's Air Conditioning and Heating was prompt and did a thorough job of checking out my AC system, unlike the previous company that charged me twice as much for a band aid fix. The owner was very nice and I would not hesitate to recommend this company. read more

As I stated before, I called them up yesterday because my A/C stopped working. This time it was a lot more than just an easy fix. And Monk's did it again. Found the problems replaced the bad parts and had us up and running again in no time. Glad to see a company with morals that will do the right thing for an awesome price. Awesome job again, thanks for squeezing me in on a Saturday, your the bomb! read more

I am a fan! No pun intended. This company is friendly, fast and affordable. They came out to service my A/C quickly and the service call was very fairly priced. The company was recommended by several of my neighbors and they have a great reputation in this area. Give them a call and you wont be disappointed. Thank you Steve and Tiffany! read more

We had an Extreme heat warning for this past weekend & our AC went out at 7pm Fri. I left a message for Gary at Monk's & they were out on Sat by 11am. They are absolutely the best! So knowledgeable, reasonable & just what all service professionals should be. They care about their customers. Wouldn't use anyone else! read more

When your a/c goes out on one of the hottest days of the year AND on a Saturday, it does not give you much hope of booking a service call anytime soon! We were so grateful to actually have a live, friendly person answer our call on a Saturday morning. Tiffany went above and beyond in working with us to schedule a service call when all the technicians were understandably fully booked. She squeezed me in at the end of that same day (Saturday no less!) and Gary, the owner himself, came out to efficiently complete our repair and end our over-heated misery. Thank you Tiffany and Gary! read more

Monk's Air are reliable, knowledgeable, hard working and honest. It is a family company and father and son came out to my home. They analyzed my problem and did the job in short order. They were fair and honest. They also warranted the work they did. I'd definitely use their services again. Oh yes the inside person who scheduled the work was very good. read more

Monks A.C. provides HONEST and FAST service!! Gary is the tech who is taking care of my friend and landlords ac and furnace problem. All others told him he needed new system and they couldn't fix the old unit he had. But Gary from Monks got it started with just a $60 service charge!! VERY HONEST!! The tech is ordering some new parts for furnace for $300. That's a heck of a lot better than 18+ thousand dollars!! read more

Great all around experience. Enough that the service man just left the house and I walked to my computer to write a review. Called first thing in the morning. Gave me a timeframe when they would show up. Showed up on time, took about 30 minutes and the house is cooling down once again. Very cost efficient, direct, explained everything and even what to look for in the future if it happens again. Definitely keeping them in mind for any future problems. read more
