This review is long overdue. I've been meaning to write it for quite some time, but life gets busy and I kept putting it off. After the level of service I've received from Edgar and his team, though, I felt like they deserved the recognition. I've now had two experiences with this company, and both have been outstanding. The first time, my AC wasn't performing the way it should after another HVAC technician had replaced my blower motor. The system was running, but it just wasn't moving enough air throughout my two-story home. Something still didn't seem right. That's when I called Edgar. He came out, took a look, and within minutes identified the issue. He told me, "It's your motor. It's not blowing strong enough." He explained that he could tell right away because the airflow wasn't what it should be, especially for a two-story house. He said I should really be able to hear and feel the air moving much stronger than it was. What really impressed me was his honesty and professionalism. After diagnosing the problem, I asked him what I owed him for coming out. To my surprise, he told me not to worry about it and didn't charge me anything. I ended up contacting the previous HVAC technician, explaining what Edgar had found, and requested a refund for the motor. I then purchased the same motor that originally came with my system and installed it myself. Sure enough, the moment I installed it, the airflow improved immediately and the system started performing the way it should. Edgar was absolutely right. The second time I reached out, I was having an issue with my AC condensate pump and drain line. I wasn't able to get an immediate appointment because they were booked up, but the technician I spoke with was still incredibly helpful over the phone. He took the time to answer my questions and point me in the right direction. Following his advice, I disconnected the hoses and used my shop vac to clear out the drain line. It turned out the problem wasn't even the condensate pump at all. Once I cleared the line, everything started working properly again, saving me from replacing a part that didn't need to be replaced. Both experiences showed me that this company genuinely cares about helping people, not just selling repairs. Everyone I've dealt with has been professional, knowledgeable, honest, and willing to go the extra mile. As someone who works in the trades myself, I really appreciate companies that operate with integrity. Edgar and his team have absolutely earned my business going forward, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy HVAC service. read more

Honest and fair! I'm so happy to find this mom and pop professional that could also do medium size jobs. We had a wonderful experience with Edgar Heating and Air Conditioning! Hector arrived promptly and was very professional. He was straight to the point and told us what we needed. No upsell or sales tactics! Rosa from the office was so kind and helpful, and Edgar went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. Highly recommend their team! Not too many super honest businesses any more. My senior mom felt safe with them. And I would absolutely call them again! So glad we found you guys! Great Value for our small budget! Best AC guys! read more

Excellent experience with Edgar's Air Conditioning. They were thorough, knowledgeable, and quickly identified the real issue. After another company came out multiple times and tried to sell me a full unit replacement, these guys correctly diagnosed it as just a faulty switch. Honest, professional, and saved me a lot of money. Highly recommend. read more

Last week, the cold air stopped blowing, although the fan was still working. It was 103° today and supposed to be 110° tomorrow. I just couldn't deal anymore. I called the number at 12:38pm and Hector arrived at my home by 4:01pm. Hector was polite and very professional. The company charges $95.00 service fee, and if a repair needs to be done, that goes toward the repair. Hector figured out what the problem was in a short amount of time. I really appreciated his tack when he let me know it was a fuse box issue. He flipped the switch and that was it... for now. Thanks Hector! We appreciate great service sir, nice to meet you! read more

I had another excellent experience with Edgar. He showed up quickly, diagnosed the issue right away, and took time to explain everything clearly. I really appreciate his honesty. Instead of trying to upsell me on unnecessary repairs, he gave straightforward recommendations, and let me decide. I have used him in the past, and each time he's been reliable, professional, and trustworthy. It's not easy to find someone in this industry who consistently puts customers first, but he truly does. If you're looking for fast, honest advice, and quality work, I highly recommend him. I won't call anyone else for my HVAC needs. read more

I had a gentleman come out two times to try and fix my air conditioner. He was awesome. I wish I remembered his name. Unfortunately, I have to go through the company that installed it to get the warranty so I will give my review on that company after tomorrow. read more

my blower motor stopped working . I called Edgar's and they came out right away. They had to order the part and I thought we would have no heat for at least a week. the next day Edgar's called me and had the part and my heater is fixed now within 24 hours. This company was a great find. I definitely recommend . At a good price also. read more

Very impressed with this company. Hector arrived on time. Very knowledgeable and diligent. We had an issue and he needed to come back the next day, though left loaner panel so I still had climate control. As I was searching my phone for the phone number to see when I could expect him, he was at my door. read more

Called Edgar's for my elderly mother who was having trouble controlling the heat in her house. Edgar and his son arrived within a couple of hours to check out the heater and vents, then concentrated on the thermostat. As it turned out, the thermostat was working fine, but my mother had not understood the correct way to set it for the desired temperature. They stayed quite a while in a temperature that was uncomfortably hot for them to make sure the heater maintained the set point as it should. Then he waived the service charge since he had installed a new air conditioning unit and the new thermostat within a warrantable time, but not a new heater out of courtesy and kindness. We have actually had Edgar out several times over the past years and his court. Patience AND competence is top notch, above and beyond. Thanks again, Edgar read more

I needed an a/c unit in a rental house to be serviced because my tena said it wasn't getting as cold as before. After reading Yelp reviews and getting a couple of quotes, I contacted Edger. He said that it could be there in 30 minutes to take a look. After doing his inspection of the a/c unit, he said it was functioning properly and gave me a price quote for a new unit if i wanted to replace the other one. I didn't replace it, and the old unit seems to be functioning fine because the tenant hasn't complained. Edgar was prompt, and easy to communicate with. I would hire him again. read more

We own a home in VA and needed someone to repair the AC stat for our tenants. We had been going back and forth for weeks with another company with no movement, but Edgar came highly recommended by a friend. The other company gave us the run around with what they could do, but when I called Edgar, his team came out and quickly and repaired the refrigerant leak that was the result of a poor installation by a contractor. I can't recommend Edgar enough! read more

Edgar give to me good work and fair price. He was there to help and come to talk with me right away.

Great service at a reasonable price in today's economy. I called and Edgar showed up not even an hour later to check out our A/C that wasn't turning the compressor on. Within 10 minutes Edgar had it up and running and cooling down the house again for us and the dogs. Thankfully it was the capacitor and he had one in his truck ready to go. Will definitely refer any of my own clients to Edgar. Thanks again. read more

My review is different from a lot of others here. Was helped by Hector. For the service I needed was definitely overpriced and glad I got another quote! Saved more than Half with going with an out of Towner AC Guy! Thought going locally would work out but wasn't the case for me. Be patient get quotes! read more

Well our A/C went out on Friday night the hottest day of the week!!! Saturday morning I called my usual place but they were booked due to everyone's A/C going out !!! The second place I called was Edgar's since I have read all the positive reviews. He was able to come out within a few hours. Once he was here he got to work and was able to fix the problem in less than an hour. He also took the time to explain to me how the vents work and when to clean them. He was very personable and very knowledgeable. Also very affordable. I will not hesitate to call him again next time we have an A/C issue. We are very satisfied with his services. I will also be recommending him. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Edgar's. Very responsive, very knowledgeable and didn't try to sell me an expensive part (mother board) I may not need before trying to fix the problem. Not only did they fix the problem but cleaned all the sensors and even supplied a new filter which they didn't have to do. I'm not easy to impress but I TOTALLY am impressed with Hector and Leo from Edgar's AC and Heating. read more

We called at 7:00 a.m., a technician came to our home at 7:30 a.m. and after he gave us a bid, we signed the contract. The entire replacement of our heating and a/c system was completed by 2:00 p.m. that afternoon. A total of 5 men worked on the job, and did an outstanding job. We called Edgar's first because their ad stated they were open at 7:00 a.m. Our a/c system had failed in extreme heat the evening before, and we are very grateful we called them first. Their bid was $2,000 under the only other bid we had gotten so far. Service, quality and immediate response are all praises we have for this team of experts. If we could give Edgar and his crew 10 stars, we would. Thank you to this small, local business in Hemet. read more

Great experience. Edgar was so nice and explained everything and was honest and didn't try to upsell. I would highly recommend him and I will definitely call him for any other repairs. read more

I found this company from a local internet search. We Called them because our AC wasn't working. I was frustrated when I called because not only was I able to get the company that installed the unit but everyone I called couldn't get for a week minimum. Mind you the daily average temp where we live hovers around 100 degrees. I actually talked to Edgar, advised him of the situation and was told he could have some one here within 2 hrs. Of course I agreed. In less than 2 hrs two young men in a company truck showed up. I learned they were actually nephews of Edgar. Both were Professional and very personable. Its was obvious to me these young men are being raised right! It took them about 1 hr to make their assessment. Unfortunately we learned a 1 year old unit needed a new coil and had a " cracked" pan. We agreed to the repair and made the required $500 deposit. They returned the next day as promised and the repair took about 3 1/2 hours. We now have cool air. I would highly recommend this company. My impressions PROFESSIONAL, KNOWLEDGABLE, COURTEOUS, and PROMPT ! read more

Hector was awesome! Showed up on time, within 20 minutes from the time I called, and fixed the issue all within 2 hours. I gladly recommend using Edgar's! read more
