Ajay, was beyond helpful and he was a pleasure to talk to and he is very very knowledgeable on every aspect of diagnosing and fixing any computer problem that I had today... He also showed me how to use my printer scanner, he resolved all of the issues I had encountered this morning when I messed up my PC. I had thought clicking on 'refresh' would repair the problem I had, instead it deleted all of my App's and caused a total disaster ! I had no clue what I had done or how to restore my PC back to the way it was before.... Without his help I would never have been able to recover my system... In addition if I was to say take this PC in to Best Buy there is NO WAY they could fix it... I highly recommend Guru Aid to my friends anytime they are having a problem and cannot resole it themselves... Unbelievable service at a very affordable price!!! No driving across town in traffic to beg the guy to work on yours when you look around and it is a warehouse full of computers waiting to be repaired. Then maybe a week later or more, you may get a call that it is ready. You get it and it still has problems, etc. I am not stretching the truth. The first tech that held me was named Dashan. Knowledgeable, polite, articulate!!! Then I met Manoj - my computer is magically fixed and I never left home. He, too was polite, very brilliant and continually asked and offered to fix everything that I wondered about. He even fixed a pic of my son and husband that appeared on my screen - neither one properly fit the screen - as in no head, just shirts. I have had it that way for years and never knew how to cut it down to size. I cannot say enough good. I hope that my monthly calls or request for infrequent needs continues to go this well. This is a great tech service, especially if you know nothing about technology. They walk you step-by-step through the process. And they have a chat window while they remotely access your computer so that you see and understand everything they are doing. It's a little expensive, and I've only used it twice, but it's nice to have the reassurance that I can contact someone instantly any time of the day or night to resolve a computer issue. The only reason this rating is not five stars is because, in my opinion, they push the sales of subscriptions a little too hard. I'm okay with them informing me one time, but then they keep telling me, despite me politely telling them "no". I did inform a supervisor of this, also. Tech Sachin Gawali... Sachin & the initial phone contact person I worked with were both excellent. Sachin did a complete bi-monthly maintenance for me & got rid of all malware, spyware, cookies, etc that accrued on my computer in the last couple of months. He was very easy to work with and did the work in less time than he originally estimated. I use GuruAid aver 1-2 months regularly for clean-up plus for any software problems I encounter. If I used a local store for the same issues, I would not only have to cart the computer there & leave it, I would have to pay a much greater price than GuruAid charges. Rupesh Ghosalkar who was the technician, solved the problems. My hotmail account had been hacked and he has cleared that problem as well as scanning my PC and removing unwanted temporary files and Prefetch and done a disk clean-up as well. Very efficient and on chat, very clear, informative and courteous. I am very pleased, as always, with my subscription to Guruaid, so pleased that I have a three year contract for my PC and have also started another contract for my iPad. I had a major problem with a virus on my computer that started before 11:00 am and the virus had complete control of my computer, so that I could not access anything. It took almost an hour for GuruAid technician to be able to get into my computer and analyse the problem. Everyone that I spoke to, was very patient with me, and took their time to walk me through the processes and explaining everything to me, that needed to be done.
