I love a headspa! As it is good for your scalp like yeah your hair is important but the foundation is the scalp! Which I think a lot of people tend to overlook. Anyways, my friend and I decided to visit Guifei since it got soooo big on tik tok, but it has been in Flushing for YEARS!!!! We booked our appointment via text and it wasn't too difficult. They were pretty responsive and even checked on the day of, if we were still making our appointment. Which, of course we did! When you arrive at the front and head inside, it looked (I'll openly say it) a bit sus. But once you're in, you'll in an open area/lobby where there's one front desk and a small table, where another staff member is there. It seem like he mostly pick up the calls and put down the appointments. We were a little early so we waited & to eat our breakfast. Once we were ready, we were directed to the room and it looks small and narrow but there were a pretty decent amount of rooms / bed things available. Ours were located in the far back, where there were two bed things (not side by side but like there's one inside and directly to me is another - in a straight line). So... be aware (cause I wasn't! I had headspa before but I was upright) you'll need to take off your top, bra included if you wear one. So I was a little taken back but it's okay. They give you a towel to cover up so no biggie. As lay down, they'll ensure that you are comfortable and is positioned right under the facet thing. So they were very gentle and there were no pull or tuck on your hair. They also would give you a massage from neck to your shoulders and even your arms! It was sooo relaxing! once it was done (which was sad..) getting up was a trip. You just feel the weight lifted off your shoulders. I didn't but deff recommend just closing your eyes and left go ( also I meant let go not the close your eyes...I did close my eyes , I'm not a psycho...lol) Let them do the work and you'll be taken care of. They also dry your hair for you ,unless you don't want them to. But overall - a good experience. read more

I visited the location with a friend. We made the appointment easily online about 3 weeks before. We got a confirmation message about 2 days before and a confirmation text the morning of the appointment. The location is easy to find. Upon arriving it was nice and warm and there was space for you to wait while you were called. Once we started the appointment I recommend you wear a shirt that's easy to take off or a strapless shirt if you feel more comfortable. There are points they massage your neck and your upper chest. You will have something on top of you as well throughout the process for coziness. We selected package C which was a combination of a scalp treatment with steam and massage. It was an hour long and it was lovely. Afterwards they lead you to where they will dry your hair and then show you your scalp through an electric microscope. When we got there, it was a bit hard to find since you have to go through doors to get to the basement. They take you tot he back and then let you pick the type of treatment you want for your scalp. I got option #5 which had eucalyptus type of shampoo. After they're done, they blow dry your hair (not style) and show you on the machine how your scalp looks after the treatment. CASH ONLY SPOT. Upon arrival, there was a water pipe outburst it seems which pushed my appointment 30 minutes later. They were very accommodating, as I was waiting for my scalp treatment. They offered me tea and wifi, and made me felt comfortable. I did the Steam Scalp Treatment and Massage it says it takes about 60 mins but it definitely felt like it was shorter than 60 minutes. I do however wished they massage my head a bit more because I felt like they were just kinda washing my hair and scrubbing it. The massage was very needed as I was very tense in my neck and shoulder. I visited Guifei spa with my girlfriend recently because she caught wind of it through social media and I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience starting from reserving a time slot to getting the treatment. I've never gotten a scalp treatment before or had any spa treatment in general but after this experience, I am considering going more often. My girlfriend would also agree since she was raving about how soft and clean her hair felt after ever since we had the treatment! Starting off with the reservation system, I was able to book an appointment for me and my girlfriend pretty easily. The system requires you to book a time slot for each person receiving the treatment so I had to make two separate reservations. However, the time slot I booked for one reservation only had space for only 1 person so I reached out to them on Instagram. The person helping with our reservation was extremely responsive and was able to help us book an earlier time slot. For those having trouble figuring out how to book a reservation, they also have detailed steps on their Instagram page on how to book a reservation! Since booking the reservation, we received a text to confirm our appointment and also received reminder texts about our appointment which I thought was nice. On the day of the appointment, we arrived 10 minutes early as they requested, and our treatment started within minutes. The first thing we noticed about the space was its cleanliness and welcoming staff. We were guided to a private booth separated out by curtains, where the masseuse had us lie down and immediately went to work. We both got the Scalp Herbal Steam Treatment which involves washing your scalp/hair with a shampoo of your choosing (I chose a tea tree oil based shampoo), a massage for your upper torso, and a scalp massage with various tools. The massage was extremely relaxing and the hour flew by. After the massage, we were directed to an area where the masseuse blow dried our hair and let us inspect our scalp with a microscope device. I saw an Instagram reel and was convinced I needed a scalp massage. I made a date with my bestie to go. Getting an appointment is really hard because they don't pickup the phone but they want to text, however the responses aren't good so you aren't really sure if you have an appointment or not. We just weren't sure if we were really booked or not after multiple calls and texts. We went and it was busy. The place is in a basement and nothing like I expected from the reel that I watched. It was not spa like. I opted for the most expensive scalp massage (level c) and my friend wanted the body massage but was told that she couldn't and was told to pick just scalp A, B, or C. She choose to do the level b. First it was beds divided by a medical curtain. It was loud with the massagers constantly talking and the sound of blow drying. I had a difficult time getting relaxed. There was also a huge hole in the ceiling that just wasn't the experience I was expecting. I was also told to take off my dress and it just felt weird to just take it off and have no robe. They are very busy, people just lined up to get these scalp massages, cash only, it felt like an assembly line. If you are looking for a spa experience, this isn't it. But if you want a decent massage and don't care what the place looks like or sounds like- I think you may enjoy this place. I would bring my own hair brush because they have one hairbrush that they brush everyone's hair with. Unfortunately I will not return to this place. I wish I could communicate with the woman who helped me but maybe I can figure out some phrases before I return. I have curly hair and although they said it wouldn't be a problem, I detangled my hair before I came. I would suggest you do the same if you have curly or thick hair as their tools are more geared towards straight hair. I was influenced by TikTok. Big mistake. I made an appointment one month in advance since I was coming from out of state. I had Angel who she was super sweet and nice. The washing of my hair felt nice. The head massage felt nice but the shoulder massage was extremely rough. Not sure if she was in a hurry but it caused me to be in pain for the next two days. I had to go to CVS the next morning to find a pain relieving patch which thankfully that helped but felt pain here and there. (No I was not carrying a backpack or purse so it was just the pain from the appointment.) Also, during my appointment I saw a worker kept peeking in during my appointment as if they were trying to rush Angel. If that was the case, I would've declined a shoulder massage to have more peace and quiet. It was cold in NYC and usually my hair never gets oily but it was extremely oily that night of the appointment. Not sure if that's supposed to happen? Would I come back? No. I only liked Angel as a person but when checking out I encountered I believe the owner and the wife? I paid my amount which is $48 for the services. As I was heading to my husband to speak to him, they shouted at me that it's $48 + tip and kept shouting it at me. It was not loud as I was the only one at the cashier. I had already planned on getting the tip from my husband for Angel but it was rude of them to assume or even shout. They completely lost me as a customer and will never come back or suggest anyone on TikTok to come here.
