I found Bliss Beauty in Flushing, NY from Grupon, what a find, I really needed a back massage, the best massage ever, save money and bring cash, they let me pay $45 for 1-hour to encourage me to join their 10 massage plan, that was too much of a commitment for me but I did join 5-massage plan. Free Parking in flushing is crazy hard to find, may need to take the train, to get to my future sessions. Warning this place is hard to find - on Main Street look for clear glass door under red awning under "Eye Solutions" letters, on the left of grocery store. Even with issue of finding Bliss Beauty, I recommend this location. I went back with my daughter next day for the best facial ever, but I do not appreciate their hard sell for packages. I saw the Bliss Beauty ad at the mall where I had lunch and decided to give it a try as I needed a facial from a long flight. The store is on the 2nd floor and I was able to get an instant appointment. The lady, perhaps a manager, greeted me and scanned my face. I explained that I only wanted a basic facial with some extraction and hydration. However, she kept saying that the basic one $68 won't do me good and recommended the more expensive one for $108 by using the Casmara products. I have never heard of that brand ever from the medical spa I frequent back home. Anyhow, I saw a Yelp deal after checking in; facial and massage at $75 but I chose not to use that offer. I was tired from my flight and didn't want to argue. Hence, I decided to try $108 one and also asked my husband to get a facial as well. Note that I have been getting facials regularly for almost 2 decades. So I know what an effective facial is as well as the esthetician's hand movements when it comes to facial massages, exfoliation, extraction, etc. Both ladies spoke close to zero English and I was translating for my husband. I wonder how they communicate with non-Chinese patrons. The whole process was average, and I'm unsure if they really used the Casmara products. We didn't have that much cash and used credit card instead which was frown upon. I stepped outside for a phone call when my husband went to pay. However, there was language barrier, so I was interrupted during my phone call where the same lady manager claimed that the tip wasn't sufficient. I didn't know there was any guideline on tipping and it should be up to the customers. We weren't satisfied from the service and why was there an expectation to tip? At the end, the same lady manager was trying to sell me the fractional laser as she said I got some acne scarring. I will NEVER get any laser treatment from this place as I don't have the confident that there are any well-trained professionals performing this type of resurfacing skin treatment. Needless to say, I'm a one-time customer. In hindsight, I should have used a sheet mask for hydration instead of spending over $200. read more

The place was very nice and clean. I ended up Leaving This place feeling amazing. The owner Shelly was very polite, she took a look at my face and notice it was very dry, she consulted me with what my best treatment was, she didn't charge me extra and gave me the best facial solution needed. I absolutely love this place for my facials. I discovered this business from Groupon and decided to give it a try. It's in an unassuming building with a buzzer. The place is clean and bright. She gave me a robe to change off into so I don't get my clothes dirty. The facial was superb for the price and my skin felt fantastic so I tipped $20. Knowing the business of Groupon from previous work experience, they take 50percent of all sales profit so there's nothing to be had for the hardworking businesses advertising on there so I always tip off the original price. I inquired about their regular facials and came back to try a few of the other facials and let me tell you the facials off their menu is non comparison to the Groupon special! It's heavenly! They spend more time on extractions and massages. I read some reviews of people giving a paltry $5-10 tip when they should be tipping off the original and not the sale price and that's just rude. They're looking down on these hardworking folks and think they can get away with nothing. Whether it's a restaurant, delivery or spa, always tip off the original price. That's just good karma. This is my second time at bliss beauty . My first experience I had a facial with angel which was amazing and super restorative. At that visit I bought a gift card for $75 to do a facial and massage which I did today. The facial at this time was pretty decent - I did not walk out as glowy as I had from the first time . I also had a massage - deep tissue which was pretty good as well. The issue was at the end of the service when I was giving tips at the front desk. I was feeling super relaxed and I tipped $10 for the facialist and another $10 for the masseuse. This was met with disappointment and the young woman informed me that this was not enough and that the minimum tip for massage is $15. Now I have no issue tipping but the way in which you communicate your businesses policies make a difference and frankly the way in which it was communicated was distasteful. I was blissfully relaxed but now pretty peeved. I gave an extra $5 for the masseuse which was met with oh you're short another $5 for the facial. While this whole discussion was going on the man who did my massage and the girl who did my facial were looking on. Honestly I felt ganged up on for a tip. In all I tipped $30 on a gift card I had already paid $75 dollars for. That's 40% . I gave her the money and to add injury to insult she then tried to sell me membership packages. I am happy to tip but I also feel like it should be at the disgression of the customer as to how much. Pay your workers better wages so they don't have to depend on tips to make ends meet. Furthermore, if these are your policies communicate them with customers when they are making appoitnments or display it prominently so we are aware and not blindsided at the end of what should be a relaxing visit. I had a massage done here on Monday 2/20/23. The massage was just ok. Not bad, not great. The man doing my massage has his cellphone ring on the highest volume. I was startled everytime his phone rang. Let me remind you my own phone was on silent. This man answered his cellphone 3 times during my massage. Had a brief conversation in mandarin each time. He would hold the phone with one hand and continue my massage with the other. After the massage I didn't complain, as it is not my style. After getting dressed I'm handing him a $10 bill which is more than 30% of the $45 massage. He looked at the money and hesitated to take it. He finally takes it and starts complaining to the lady at the front desk. The lady then tells me that I should give him $15. I said "Based on what". She repeated that $15 is standard for a massage. I just gave him another 5 and left. Never to return again. If he hadn't answered his phone I probably would have given $20 like I did the last time I was there to a different person. Found Bliss Beauty through Groupon so made appointment for two for deep facial cleansing. Even though we had reservations, we still waited over 30 mins. The receptionist was nice and polite though, and the lobby space was clean and spacious. I would say that my facial experience was very thorough, professional and helpful overall -- from cleansing, exfoliating and pore cleaning, heat treatment, clay masks, toning and moisturizing, I left feeling very cleansed and hydrated. However, the hallways were very loud from the technicians talking and shuffling around so it was hard to relax and fully enjoy. My technician was very friendly and polite, but I did encounter one who was kinda pushy and rude about his gratuities not being enough (not written anywhere but tip amount seems to be mandatory). At the end, one of the technicians tried to advertise other services and insisted I buy more packages for future visits. Overall, I think it's a decent spa experience but you really have to be upfront and not be a pushover. read more

I tried this place with a Groupon I found and decided to give it a shot. I booked a deep cleansing facial. The place is very clean and quiet. The room where they do the facial is very relaxing and has a peaceful ambiance to it. They give you a towel dress to change into for facial. The lights are dim and they use nice smelling products on your face that do not dry out your skin. They give you a blanket in case you get cold and have relaxing music playing in the background. The facial is very soothing, they go in thoroughly in removing blackheads and steaming your face if you decide to get the deep cleansing facial. I also decided to get a massage which was a little rougher than I wanted but the masseuse adjusted the intensity when I addressed it. They target every point of your body and use relaxing oils and hot stones. The staff is very polite and friendly throughout the whole experience. Came here after seeing a Groupon deal for deep cleansing facial. The staff was friendly and the place was extremely clean and a little bigger than other spas in the area. They have a variety of services from permanent makeup to massages. I would rate the actual facial 3 stars - they didn't get everything on my face as there were some clogged pores still on my nose/cheeks and a pimple on my chin. I expected much more for a "deep cleansing" facial. They did give more shoulder/neck massages than other spas I've been to though. Everyone there is skilled, professionally trained, friendly, and always willing to listen to your needs or concerns. They never rush through the process and do every step thoroughly. The extraction part of the facial isn't painful, as they apply serum that opens up the pores, along with a gentle steamer. When they message my face, I can literally fall asleep since it is so relaxing and comfortable! At the end of each facial, depending on your skin's specific needs, they apply a mask that can help with hydration, even-skin tone, improving skin texture, etc. While the mask works its magic, the masseuse messages my head, shoulders, arms, not a second wasted! I first found out about this place through my aunt. I was skeptical at first because I had a facial done in the past at a location in the Bronx and didn't have a good experience. I first tried a regular facial and knew I had to come back to get more things to see what this place had to offer. This place is extremely amazing. Today, I tried the trilift here and the gold facial. The gold facial is amazing and leaves your skin amazing soft. The trilift definitely helped my skin to be more firm and hydrated. I definitely see a difference with one trilift Because my face before looked more bloated on both sides and overall puffy. This place is amazing. The staff is wonderful! I definitely will be going back and have recommended some friends to come along with me. I have been traveling from Yonkers now to come here. I received a couples massage and we were separated into different rooms. (Not an issue though, just letting you know what to expect) the massage table had a disposable cloth which made me feel like they are clean! The massage overall was good. She asked what pressure I liked and was as rough as I wanted her to be. The only reason I deducted a star is because after the massage I was tipping her $5 and she said there was a mandatory $10 tip per person. NOWHERE on their website, Groupon, or on Yelp does it acknowledge that you have to tip that amount! They also don't tell you before the massage either. I feel like they should just add the "tip" into the overall price if they want to make the $10 mandatory. After having a good experience the ending threw us off. I didn't mind tipping the $10 just wish I would have know ahead of time. When purchasing the service that is all! read more

I had my clean facial yesterday with Shelly. I have to say this is the greatest facial I had. Shelly is very experienced in massage and cleaning. She did the extraction very clean and not painful. After facial, she use some mask and serums which help my skin not sensitive and recover faster than ever before. Also, Shelly is very patient and could listen to your feedback and do the special treatment for you. I have experienced many facial massages including some expensive one( 200 dollars per time), but this one is the best. Also, their new place looks very fancy and clean. I got a facial at Bliss beauty followed by a 2-hour massage. Unfortunately Google will not let me post the pics of my back and my breast. I have scratches from neck to buttocks over and over. It looks like I got attacked. After I got home and was in a lot of pain I checked and lo and behold I cannot believe that I'm torn up like this! The massage was actually painful and definitely not in a good way and it was also uncomfortable as this man had his hands all over me in just not quite right positions. He also burned me with the hot stones. At the end they were also upset with my $40 each /apiece tip and made me feel as if I should have given them more. Luckily I was out of cash and so there was no choice. If you are concerned or interested I will be happy to send you pics of the damage that was done during this "massage". As far as the facial the woman took a razor to my upper lip and eyebrows so quickly without asking I was unable to say stop until she had already swiped my face. I was very upset as I have never touched a razor to my face. I choose threading if anything. Stay away from this place never mind that the five-star reviews take it from me. As in the other reviews as well it was so noisy incessant chattering and phone calls that I asked to change my room for the massage. During the massage the masseuse picked up his phone six times and had a short conversation. Count that, six times! Stay away. I went for the first time yesterday after getting a coupon for a facial. I got the facial with Sherry, and that was such a great experience! I haven't had many facials before but always remembered them being a bit painful and then leaving all red and sensitive after. This was NOT that. She really took her time with all the creams and steams and ultrasound and face/head massages, wrapping it up with a really fun cooling mask. My skin looked so renewed after all this. This got me excited to try a body massage, so they got Peter to do it at the last minute. He was really great, found all my sore spots and snapped them into place with just the perfect pressure. He really knows what he's doing. Note that, like ALL Flushing spas, there is a mandatory $10 tip per service. The service is still really affordable, high quality, and below the average prices if compared to the rest of NYC. The place is clean and looks pretty new, rooms are pleasant and calming.
