I decided to get out today and take care of a few things, one of which was getting a massage at this place. I randomly called and asked if they had an immediate opening. Surprisingly, they did. The lady on the phone asked for quite a bit of information and penciled me. When I arrived, I was greeted by a woman. She had a spunky sense of humor and was friendly and courteous. Her massage was really good, much better than some other ones I've had recently. I had a Swedish massage. She did a great job and it was well worth the price. They do charge tax, and of course, you should tip your masseuse. I would recommend this place. In the past I've had trouble booking a slot, so don't expect to walk in and get lucky like I did. Call well in advance to book an appointment and it will be worth it. I also noticed facial equipment and other services, so they offer more than just massages. Overall, a good place. read more

Loved this spa! They fit me and my friend in last minute and were super attentive when we arrived--tea, water, very relaxing vibe. My deep tissue massage was amazing, and their bathroom has a sauna and shower, which made the experience even better. I'm coming back for a body scrub for sure. Nails were the only disappointment. The tech kept insisting my builder gel was acrylic, and my manicure came out messy with hangnails left. I wouldn't recommend the nail services, but for massages and body treatments? Absolutely yes. read more

I've been in the neighborhood for decades and for some reason I discovered Ascend spa only about a year ago. It is totally my loss! But I can now say I'm a very happy client. Joe is my massage therapist. He is really listening to what you need, how strong/deep you want the pressure applied and more. Couple of days ago I felt my sciatica"building up" so I went in. Luckily Joe had an opening. It was the smartest thing I did that day. I was in such misery before, walked w pain, even my yoga didn't help for more than couple of minutes. Joe was my cure that day. I walked taller, pain-free after treatment. Thank you Joe! I will definitely recommend Ascend Spa. Carla and Patrick are awesome in the front desk (I am not 100% sure but I think they're the owners), always pleasant, welcoming and accommodating. Treat yourself to a massage with Joe. You'll thank yourself later. read more

I just received one of my favorite birthday presents ever! I got a 1 hour massage at the Ascend Day Spa and feel absolutely terrific! My massage therapist, Joe was incredible!!!!!! He is professional, caring and was attentive to the pain and discomfort that I have been suffering with for weeks. My only regret is that I have not come here sooner. Having lived in this neighborhood for many years and seeing the spa every day, I can't understand why I didn't think to come in sooner. This was an incredible birthday present and a fantastic experience! I highly recommend this spa and specifically Joe if you're looking for a great massage! read more

Very relaxing experience. Front of house worker, Clara, was friendly and helpful. I came in for a 60 min massage with Ingrid - she was able to remove knots I didn't even realized I had. Also, provided some tips/tricks I can do at home. Overall, I'm pleased with my visit. read more

Luxury Neighborhood Spa. Love the Staff and front desk. Very sweet. Very helpful. Massages are perfect read more

I dropped in and they actually had an opening for a 60-minute massage with Joe. Great surprise...but even bigger surprise was how good the massage was. Joe is smart and very good at what he does. My overall experience was excellent. Made appointments to go regularly. Next time, in addition to a massage, I am having a mani and pedi. This spa was a fantastic find. read more

I recently got a massage after about 6 months. I am 10 months PP and am quite sore. Victoria was wonderful and very attentive about specific pain issues. She even gave me a head massage which was so wonderful. Overall that one hour helped me relax and feel great. She was very careful about the amount of pressure that she was putting. I have a package deal of 6 sessions which I feel is worth. read more

I'm a massage fiend and have had many. So, of course, when I got pregnant and started feelings aches and pains I went to find a place that can accommodate the physical changes. I've had prenatal massages with both Joe and Victoria and they are both EXCELLENT. The professionalism and intuitive approach to massage leaves me feeling so much better every time I leave. I've always had a great interaction with the front desk and a fairly easy time booking an appointment. I highly recommend ascend. read more

The owner / manager is out of his mind!He was rude and aggressive. He has zero communication skills and threw a temper tantrum. He has the emotional maturity of a 2 year old. They do illegal things with your information. Stay far away from this place. I feel bad for the employees there. read more

My wife treated me to a massage here and let me tell you, it's one of the best massage I have ever received! My massage was with Victoria and she was amazing! She knew what she was doing. From the minute she started, I knew I was in good hands. She was professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. I am super relaxed now and will be back sooner than later. read more

Words can not explain how I love this spa. I'm upset at myself because I haven't been there in over a decade. I will be a regular. Patrick who I believe is the owner has a great personality. He made me laugh and I felt at home. Sam who made my reservation is great too. I had a reservation for a facial after being stuck at home for over a year. Wearing a mask ruined my face. Dulce fixed it and gave me a glow. I'll be back soon. read more

I found this gem of a place a year ago and since have purchased two series. I go for massages specifically by Ingrid who is probably the best medical massage professional in all of time! She is caring and knows what she is doing. I literally feel like I'm floating when she is done. The place is professional and very clean. I did have a facial there twice but they're really best at massages. The facial person didn't have enough experience and the products were not that great for the price. If you want a great massage though, this is the place! read more

2nd time here and the service was just as great at the first time. I felt like I was on vacation for 2 hours. The massage was great and so was the pore cleansing facial. I can't wait to go back and use up the rest of my series. It's worth it to get and you save some money. read more

This place is great. Just had a massage with Joe, who was so kind, attentive, and informative. I have a hip injury that has caused me chronic pain, and Joe was very thorough in his evaluation, and let me know that often times the area of pain is not always the source. So, he quickly devised a plan to work on other areas he felt would help relieve the pressure I felt in my hip. I left feeling more relaxed and a lot less tense. I should also mention the place was spotless, and the front desk personnel were so welcoming. A refreshing change from some other spas in this area. I bought a package. I'll definitely be back! read more

Today was my first time at Ascend. Excellent spa, with a very welcoming and calming ambiance from start to finish. I had an appointment with Lauren who was kind, sweet, and very unique in her techniques. It was a really healing experience, physically and emotionally. I appreciated and enjoyed her approach in aligning the mind and body with different types of energies (for example the wood energy with the gallbladder and the liver). It is a more comprehensive and holistic approach. Highly recommend this spa in general, and specifically the package that I got called "Focus, Flow, & Flexibility - Springtime Massage". read more

I love this spa! I stumbled upon them while searching for a spot to get a prenatal massage and I'm so thankful I did. Clara at the front desk could not be any nicer, chatting with her is like chatting with an old friend. I purchased the massage series and it was great because I went back just about weekly after my first visit. Joe the massage therapist is absolutely lovely. He's professional, kind, he makes sure the pressure he's using is ok and that you are always comfortable. Everyone here was so lovely to me during what has been such a challenging pregnancy, and I always looked forward to coming here because of how kind they always were. Looking forward to coming back after I have the baby for some pampering and to see everyone again! :) read more

I booked an appointment for an airbrush tan because Beach Bum is the only place I've found in the area that does them and the person who does it never seems to be there when I want to make an appointment. The results are also very inconsistent. I am so happy I went to Ascend instead! I've been getting airbrush tans for over 10 years at many different places and this was one of the most natural (but still noticeable) ones I've ever gotten. The gentleman who does them is meticulous with the application process and he made absolutely sure the formula was applied evenly. My hands and feet usually soak up the dye like crazy which can lead to a very unsightly effect but that wasn't an issue at all here. I waited about 8 hours to shower and after I did I was left with beautiful, natural-looking color. Best of all it lasted over a week, including an entire day of snorkeling and swimming in the ocean almost every day. I didn't notice any streaking when the color faded, which is borderline miraculous. The formula they use is also not smelly or sticky while it's drying, which is great if you need to run errands, etc. while you're waiting for it to set. All of the people at Ascend were very nice and welcoming. It was a nice change to get a "spa" experience getting an airbrush tan! I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the room where they do the spray tans is a little cramped and quite chilly when you're drying off. Other than those minor things everything was great. I'll definitely be back for airbrush tans and will probably check out the other services as well. read more

I love Ascend spa. I come for the deep tissue massages which resolve tension from stress, injury, exercise. I couldn't recommend more.

(Voiceover) In the Yelp website the people are represented the people who are looking for a descriptive review, and people who want to know if the business is qualitative. This is Noushky random experience. (Law & Order Sound) For my mother's birthday my sister and I decided to plan a surprise spa day for her. I mean that would pay her back for all the stress I've been giving to her for 22 years right? I think so. Hilarious Fact: My mother's favorite part of the spa was taking a nap in the waiting room. She thought the spa experience was taking a nap with peaceful music in the background. (I was so close to posting a picture of my mom "knocked out" on the couch but she's West-Indian and I like being alive.) Spa Package: Mud Wrap, Manicure & Pedicure. What I Learned: Never to question an exfoliation. Angelicia exfoliated my body from my neck to the sole of my feet with what felt like gravel. During the process, I was between crying and laughing but I knew I was going to come out the spa's door like a brand new woman. What I Loved: Bathroom. The bathroom was so clean. It was as if someone threw bleach and faboloso and knew I was coming. What I Didn't Like: My manicure and pedicure. The nail technician did a great job with my mani and pedi BUT the nail polish took thirty minutes to dry. Beauty supply $1.99 nail polish dries quicker. What I Wished: Better snacks. They only provided us with fruits & nuts. Specifically sunflower seeds, peanuts, and dried fruit. My palate was not ready for airplane food. For example, seedless grapes, Laughing Cow spreadable cheese and crackers. read more

This place is so relaxing. I had a couple of massages from this spa $ the experience is amazing. There is a sauna and a really nice big shower. The reason that I'm writing this because I had an amazing massage from Jefferey. I came in with really tensed shoulders that's giving me headaches. Jeff decided to give me a deep tissue massage. End up I was very tense everywhere since everything is connected. I had no pain after the massage and it felt like a ton of weight off my shoulders, ahhhhh.... Jeff you work magic! Thank you so much for fixing me. Tip: Buy the package. Save you $ especially if you workout a lot or sit in front of a computer everyday. read more

Finally, a spa that simply understands the importance of being quiet. I brought my earplugs, not to listen to music but to drown out the constant chatter of staff and guests. I was thrilled not to have to jam them in my ears. At my last spa experience, I had to endure the ramblings of a wannabe astrologist. I can't. I had the regular facial and swedish massage and became a monthly member as a result. It's a great deal that offers 80. for a monthly treatment that's normally 20. more and 10% off products, not that I need a 54. dollar candle but I want one. The rooms seemed soundproof and the procedures were calming. I appreciated the locker room to store your belongings, with the key. The robes were plush, I have to order one. The waiting area was calming and quiet (though it had a phone docking station and I think phones should be strongly discouraged). I liked the cucumber water and thought the nut selection was nice. read more

I'm not one to leave reviews but this really is an amazing place! The staff is so friendly and helpful and they're taking all the right precautions with COVID. Very clean, I felt very safe. I went back today for a Swedish massage with Jeffrey and it was probably one of the best massages I've ever had. Highly recommend this place! read more

Have been going to Ascend Spa for nearly two years now, and always had a great experience. I've had chronic back pain since the age of 13, and Jeff is amazing at combining deep tissue techniques with relaxation techniques. It's to the point where pain that I thought would be permanent for the rest of my life is nearly resolved (been in and out of physical therapy since 13). Front staff is always friendly, on top of COVID-19 precautions, and there are package deals available. I recommend taking advantage of the Yelp discount for your initial appointment if it's still there, then moving on to the packages if you think you'll be a regular. read more

Please be mindful that I received my first facial from this place and this post might or might not be bias. The place is clean and the front desk receptionist was extremely friendly. I had the pleasure of receiving my first facial from Brenda. Let me say that she was great all the way through the session. She walked me through every step. I really enjoyed her laid back/unpretentious personality. I was able to see results 2 days after the facial. I saw scars go away and my acne reduce by 85%. I was finally able to wear very minimal makeup at work and feel confident in my own skin. I haven't been able to do that before this facial. My face will definitely keep benefiting from Brenda's care so I will be coming back soon! read more
