This is not a luxury spa. You have to put your feet up on a hard piece of wood and then down in between to get to the foot bath there's no light massaging. When you sit down to get a manicure, the seat is so hard there's no cushioning that is good enough. It's very thin and the chair is very cheap. Then they put this oil on my nails that got all over my hands, my phone and everything and I tried to wipe it off three times and it's still oily, and my nails are ruined why would I pay $45 for a manicure that I have to redo myself and if you're gonna charge this exorbitant fee there must be something special about this place and I'm not finding anything except the pricing that's very special. read more

I had such a great day at Green Spa on The Go. I received a rescue pedicure and my feet look and feel great. It came with a 10 minute foot massage for the deal I selected. I really needed that foot massage lol. The place is very sanitary which is hard to find at most nail salons. I did not feel pressured no persuaded to get any additional services than what I requested which was refreshing. Communication is made through their phone number and you do have to book an appointment. It is more on the expensive side but that comes with healthier non toxic nail polishes and oils. Where do I start... I was planning my best friend's Bridal Shower and was looking for activities to do which were safe for her, being that she's pregnant. I came across Green Spa on the Go, here on Yelp, and decided to give them a try. All natural, chemical free, cruelty free, safe for the environment and especially safe for my Preggo Bride, sounds perfect to me! I'm sure glad I decided to give them a try! From the very beginning, Marinella was extremely responsive and helpful. They email you the different services they have and are very accommodating. I was able to reserve the Spa all to ourselves for a couple of hours. It was 6 of us Ladies and we went with a combination of the Go Green Manis & Pedis. This was a surprise Bridal Shower, when we got there we saw that they even decorated their Blackboard to welcome the Bride-To-Be, which I thought was super sweet! I couldn't be anymore grateful! The experience was pleasant from beginning to end. They took their time and the end product was beautiful. Very happy with our service at Go Green on the Go Spa! Clean space. Charming. Came in because of the reviews, being pregnant I realized I need my good old massage chairs. Pedicure, ok. Doesn't know how to shape the nails. Too excited just cutting the sides. I also needed to help her with shaping the nails in my hands. Not enough gel color options, I got a gel French. Limited with the colors, I didn't leave loving my manicure. It was too light and it looks silly with the white tip. I showed the lady a picture of how I wanted my French and it was nothing like it. $125 with tip. I wouldn't come back. read more

I've only visited once, but that was enough for me to rave about this place to multiple friends. I thought I would have to commute into Manhattan to get a truly non-toxic manicure, but lo and behold I can avoid have what I want in Queens and minutes away from home. The owner is so sweet, and so is her staff, greeting me as soon as I arrived and offering me tea. I did call ahead and they were able to accommodate me for an appointment within the hour (thankfully!). I got the Go Green Manicure and my first non-toxic gel manicure as an add-on. The products either had a light pleasing scent of lavender or no smell at all. I can't believe this lovely small business has been around for around 4 years, and I didn't know. Completely enthralled with this adorable salon. Living a natural and cruelty free life can sometimes mean sacrifices and getting my nails done for a while was one of them. This salon though is all a great alternative! Very small and personal you just feel so cozy and relaxed here with specific one on one service. The ladies here were so welcoming and offered us tea that they freshly steeped for us. I got the "go green" manicure which was the upgraded mani and it was so worth it. My nail tech was so sweet to talk to and took such detail to clean up my paws. She did mention that on Friday's and Saturday's they don't take walk ins so you must make a reservation! They also offer a whole "to go" service and will come to you! If you are looking for a natural alternative I would highly recommend this lovely salon. I felt like at HOME AWAY FROM HOME! This place is absolutely amazing. We booked a little birthday mani pedi with hot stone massage and gel mani. Warm welcome and beautiful decor. Upon arrival our temperature was checked, we were asked to wash hands. Then we got pampered to the tunes of uplifting songs which was so relaxing and soothing for our busy minds. We got soaked, scrubbed, massaged and beautified and it felt great. To be honest I was never happy with my pedicures before because my nails are not the best but here WOW absolutely satisfying outcome. Same comes to my mani- cuticles were not murdered lol my nails were beautifully shaped and Gel looks really nice and light. All thru we got professional advice and I love the idea they can come to our place or anywhere "girls night out" can take us. I had contacted the shop prior to, with a few concerns, and the owner was not only friendly and welcoming but accommodating from start to finish. I have to start off by saying I am NOT your typical mani/pedi girl. I can safely say that, including my recent manicure at Green Spa on the Go, I've had three manicures. After my experience here, I can say that I will be back!! I brought my two kids and myself for some manis. I loved that the spa didn't smell like chemicals and I knew that the nail polish would be safer for the kids than your normal salon stuff. I made an appointment so it was just us in the salon which was nice. I didn't have to worry about the kids ruining someone's calm. I believe it was the owner who did our nails and she was so great and patient with the kids. Nail color selection can be a tedious process!! The space is small so I'm not sure how they host parties in there. But the space is very cute and calm. I'll have to say, my polish didn't last as long as I hoped, but maybe it was the "green" factor...I know I'm rough on my hands but I feel like "regular" polish lasts a little longer. This is my spot and trust me, you have to go at least once. I like Green Spa on the go because it on the natural side. Meaning way way less chemicals because I'm a natural girl. Environmentally conscious products, super clean, and they don't use the bubble tubs for your feet. They use a old fashion basin for the feet. Check out their pictures. Remember when you get your feet done at a regular nail salon, your feet is getting everyone's bacteria on your feet and that how you catch germs. It doesn't matter how many times they wash it. When they watch the tub, that water if coming right back in the pipes on your feet. Please beware and do your research. They don't rush and it's worth the wait. We need to stop rushing all the time and slow down. Life is short, just let them do what they need to do. If you want the fast and dirty salons then this is not the place for you. read more

I love all the concepts behind Green Spa on the Go. I love their green approach to beauty and their non-toxic products. They are also an "on the go" business and can come to you if you'd like. Their decor is also really nice. Moreover, they also take appointments which I love because who wants to sit and wait forever at a salon until someone is available? However, I think I had too high of expectations going in. I took my mom for a 90 minute pedicure with hot stones because she never treats herself to things like that and after reading the reviews for this salon I thought it was perfect. However, the 90 minutes was actually only an hour (almost to the minute). Looking back now I realized the reviews were all for manicures--non for the service I got. Some reviews also mentioned tea being offered which I thought would be nice for my mom but non were offered to us when we went. I liked my pedicure but I did expect more of a massage since it was 90 minutes long but each process they did was as quick as it is at any other salon. My mom and I had our nails painted at the same time and dried for the same time but her big toe got ruined the same night because it never dried well. I guess the lady who did hers used too much polish. Overall it was a decent experience but I did expect more from the reviews I read and the prices of the service. Such a wonderful addition to our Forest Hills neighborhood!! An all natural nail salon ! First off there is NO harsh chemical smell in this salon whats so ever, this by itself is unheard of. The decor of this place is so rustic-chic looks like its straight out of a crate and barrel catalog. Whoever designed the place did so with great detail with being so beautiful and well lit inside. Pedicure chairs are so comfy and since I'm currently pregnant and I usually have a hard time but I was pretty content nestled in one of their plush chairs. Green Spa on the Go is a very pleasant little gem to be discovered in Forest Hills area. I contacted them via Facebook, and they responded within minutes, were very friendly and helpful. Interior design of the place is amazing and soothing. The owner offered me tea or water, and immediately I noticed that the place smells amazing, no chemical odors. The music was very calming. Staff super friendly and pleasant, which is unbelievably rare in NYC. Mani/pedi takes more time than in other salons, which for me was a plus. All staff is good, but owner really knows her stuff.
