Meh. That's the best way to describe Grace NY Nails. I try to avoid this place, but sometimes when I'm desperate (e.g., need to get my gel manicure off) or in a rush, I go here because it's close to me. They have a deal for mani-pedis between Monday-Thursday for $25. With tax, it's about $26.50. There's a $10 minimum on card and tips are cash only. Pedicure: The technician who worked on me was nice, but the paint job was mediocre. Despite drying for over 30 minutes, my toe nail and pinky nail got severely messed up after they saran-wrapped it. As in, half of the polish was gone and looked pretty bad. A+ for the strong massage though. Manicure: Within 6 hours, my manicure was also chipping. Similarly, the coats were too heavy. Now my pain point here is that my technician would go under my nails to clean them with a stick and would go tooooooo deep to the point that my thumb was in pain for 2 days. The slightest touch would hurt. Service: Overall, the ladies are nice. They will try to up-sell you, but that's pretty normal nowadays. Annoying, yes, but business. I went back the next day to have my pedicure fixed (I'm going on a beach trip and that's the whole reason why I went in!) and the lady was nice enough to fix it and even offer to fix my other nails as well. I declined that part as I was short on time and don't have high hopes for it lasting. TL;DR: If you're in a time crunch, sure. If you just need to have your gel manicure, sure. Massage? Yeah, maybe. If you want a quality mani-pedi and have time, go elsewhere. (I personally love Bamboo 35 Nails)

Went to get my nails done right after work and hot very lucky that the wait was only 5 minutes. Sonja did my nails and I may have spelt the name wrong, my apologies if so. She did a phenomenal job! They look great and she took care of all of my requests including to push the cuticles back a lot and even fixed a nail for me. I got the gel manicure which was $30 . Very reasonable for the service I got. I am very pleased and will definitely be coming back . Just a quick update, my gel manicure was $30, I had her fix a nail which was $3 and I left a $5 tip, therefore my bill should have come out to no more than $40 with tax, unfortunately they over charged me, perhaps it was a mistake I will call and ask. Always take your receipt!!!

Ah the best callus pedicure. My feet are so soft and clean. I felt like they really took their time with me.

I am not committed to any eyebrow place but will say the spots in Manhattan left me with very…read moreuneven eyebrows. Had mixed experiences with Long Island/Hicksville area as well. I wish my eyebrows were sisters or even cousins but half the time they do not want to be related or look symmetrical as possible on my very asymmetrical face. Any way I chanced up on this place and wow was it awesome. I do not remember who did my eyebrows but she did an incredible job - was very slow and meticulous and shaped those babies up (not to her credit the previous brow lady had built a decent eyebrow template for her to follow). Time will tell if I keep coming here but cannot be turned off by that amazing price $5 for brows. They also offer facials and scalp massages - both seemed appealing.

It is really astonishing that they've managed to keep their eyebrow-threading price at $5 after all…read morethese years amid the pandemic and inflation, while I've seen some other places raise their prices significantly (ie, $5 to $10). I've been coming here pretty consistently for the last 6 years. I initially did not like this place that much until a newer lady (never got her name, just knew by face) joined in 2018 and started doing my brows, and I was so amazed by her carefulness and gentleness that I had a hard time being sent to the other ladies working there and would even queue up for as long as 30+ min so she could thread my brows! I even had a hard time going to other threading salons because she was so good. She left a few months ago and every time that I come here now and get a different lady, I'm literally just on the edge of my seat with lots of anxiety that they don't hate me and mess up my brows because I had a strong preference for my threader. They turn out fine most of the time, but I experience redness from the pressure they put on with the thread and constantly working on the same spot. It's a hit-or-miss place and it always hit when my favorite threader worked on me but now it's literally a gamble between hit or miss when I get thrown to the first available lady. Still, can't beat the $5 price for decent threading and they probably don't have any competition for that price point.

I'm writing this review because I moved to PA and I miss my favorite eyebrow aunty!…read more Let's get one thing straight - she's the best eyebrow threader (that is best suitable for ME and a lot of my friends) in the Elmhurst/forest hills area. She knows what she is doing, however, she doesn't have enough space in her shop to do it comfortably. It would be cool if all the local regulars could help her start raising some money so she can provide a bit more, but in a perfect world. Anyways, I have tried at least FIVE different threading salons near my new apt and all of them SUCK. They're all desi (south Asian peeps) and they have the worst threading techniques. Not to mention they finish my service in less than 5 mins.... and charge me $10+... for eyebrows..... like you're not in Manhattan so bring your prices down. Sushila takes her time on me. She not only threads but tweezes my shiz to perfection. She has a steady hand, uses quality thread (from India) and will fix it if you don't like it. The people who gave bad reviews, there may be a language barrier or misunderstanding because she's great at what she does. I've gone to her for waxing and eyebrows - never had an issue. Also - nobody's paying me for this review nor do I know if she'll see this herself lol just really miss sushila because quarantine is killing a sis.

I hate to write negative reviews for small business but you do not want to come here for a mani or…read morepedi.. it seems like while they do offer the service, their forte are eyebrow threading and hair removal. I came here on a whim as I walked past but soo much regret. Originally wanted to get my eyebrow threaded but forgot I already prepaid for an eyebrow threading card elsewhere so I switched to a manicure because I hate doing my own nails. Chose my colour and sat down.. the lady who did my nails did not want to do nails and you could tell. Whenever I walk into a nail salon, the host is very friendly, engages with you and talks to you about your day. Nope... not a single word out of this lady. She was a bit aggressive when she was filing my nails.. kinda pulled my hand like a mom pulling her kid to come this way. Like... you're in the service industry, what... Filing was not straight.. you can see that from my picture. I asked her to fix it because I could've done it myself if I wanted something so imperfect but I think she was annoyed.. she did cut my nails, filed, buffed, apply cuticle oil, cut my cuticle and gave me a small hand massage. Colour.. yikes.. the colour was sheer to the point where it doesn't look like I have anything on. I think she should've done at least 3-4 coats but only did two.. colours are suppose to be opaque but no.. I came home and luckily had a colour that was similar enough to paint on top. Overall, not returning for nails. Probably wouldn't even return for brows.. the place is tiny.. uncomfortably small but if you're really on a whim, give their threading a try as I do see a lot of people come in for that. Not recommended for nails.
