This is actually the worst nail salon I've ever been to ... I scheduled a 5 o'clock appt for a simple gel pedicure & canceled my clients from 5-6 thinking that was enough time. The appt was confirmed on their end & I was so excited. I showed up at 5:03 PM rushing so I wasn't "late". The lady welcomed me, knew about the appt and told me to take a seat and wait a few minutes .... She was working on someone else and I was okay with waiting a couple minutes ... 15 minutes later, she asked me to soak my feet in water and was nowhere near done with the other customer .. I was like mhm ok ... after 25 minutes, I couldn't do it anymore. I started to take my feet out of the water and told her I couldn't wait any longer and that I understand things happen but to not take reservations then ... instead of apologizing, she goes "things happen, people take longer, that's how it goes".... I don't think businesses that last run in an unorganized manner ... if you're in the area - beware! Use another nail salon in Astoria! Unless you don't mind aimlessly waiting .. read more

I had a regular polish manicure here over a month ago, and my nails are still visibly damaged. The technician over-buffed my natural nails, which caused: * Permanent-looking dents and uneven texture * Staining exactly where the polish was applied * Overall thinning and weakness of my nails This should never happen with a regular manicure. Proper technique does not require aggressive buffing, and the damage is clearly due to poor prep, not my nail health. I've had regular manicures for years and never experienced this kind of damage. My nails are now taking months to grow out and recover. I would not recommend this place, especially if you care about the long-term health of your natural nails. read more

I had been looking for a new nail salon for some time and I think I finally found the one. My friend recommended the salon and I have gone twice since. The girls are so sweet and have such good energy. The salon is beautiful and clean. They are also extremely accommodated (fit me in on Friday night for a Saturday morning appointment) and were super sweet about it. I have gone to both Carmen and Marianna and they've done a phenomenal job. I did Hard Gel Extension with design and they were a little over $100. read more

This place has two amazing technicians; Mariana and Viviana. They are the two who never say no to the designs I want. They're professional, kind and hardworking. Sadly the place itself seems scattered. Starting with the owners, they show up and seem to make the environment tense. They are kind to the customers but when there's tension the moment they walk in, it makes me wonder what kind of institution I am spending money on. I think they've set a bad precedent. There isn't anything organized, they've remodeled about three times yet they can't seem to get their salon in order. They have a messy way of organizing their calendar. And I've seen the owners take money from the register. As a manager I don't agree with that. I don't care if it's the owner, that will mess with the math and accounts. Further demonstrating how messy they can be. I'd go back for the girls but in all honesty wouldn't feel comfortable in doing so. I love how it's is a Latina owned salon but it's not okay to mistreat your employees, it's not okay to have a tense work place and to blame others for it. Again nothing against the girls but when the owners are on vacation it's even more chaotic. Only two girls have the composure and it's ViVi and Mariana. I wish them the best. read more

I never usually write reviews anymore but I felt like I had to for this one! I made an appointment via Instagram and when I arrived the lady looked a bit confused but took me right away and started the pedicure. I got tips done with gel and design. Carmen did a wonderful job. It's been a full month and my nails are still in good shape other than grow out! I'll be going back for sure. read more

Well I'm really upset to be writing this review because my first visit to this place three months ago back in May was amazing. For the first time I received a gel pedicure and the girl did so much to my nails that they looked amazing. I came back today because I'm leaving the country for a trip and wanted to get another gel pedicure. I walked in and they were a little busy so they told me to come back in 30 minutes and I did just that. I sat down and the girl began my pedicure which started at 12:35. I received my pedicure and I was finished by 1:15 which I was surprised because it took a little bit longer last time. I just came home and as I was walking I was noticing that my toenails didn't look right and I was doing stuff on my phone as I was at the salon because I was handling the arrangements for my upcoming trip so I wasn't watching every single thing that the nail technician was doing. The girls who work here are very friendly however the first time I believe the owner of the nail salon was at the establishment which is why the girl did such a nice job and took her time, but I believe that my pedicure today was done extremely wrong. My nails were rather long since I wasn't there for two months so all she did was just clip my toenails she didn't even file them so they're all completely uneven! And they were barely clean she barely cleaned any cuticles so now all of my nails are dry. The polish is the worst part I wanted it to match my nails and it's completely off. The polish is all streaked and it looks like a five year old painted my toenails. All of the excess nail polish is flooding in my cuticle bed and around my toenails. You can see it in the pictures below. I can't believe I just paid $35 for a gel pedicure of this caliber. This is unacceptable and I really am upset with what just happened because I'm going away and now I have to go to another salon to go get my toes fixed. Everything is so sharp on my toes because they weren't filed and all of this nail polish is bleeding through my cuticle bad it looks horrendous. I have been coming here for a few months now and my girl Viviana never disappoints. She takes her time and never rushes it. I have a problem with ingrown nails and I have only had 2 people to ever take them out without pain or close to no pain . I always leave happy and my gel manicure can last me up to 5 weeks. My first visit for a UV Gel manicure was nearly three weeks ago and still looks FAB! Vivi took such good care of me. What a professional: warm, detail oriented and most importantly she listened to what I wanted. I'm picky, which is often an issue at nail places, but she was not phased at all! I went to the Nail'd It for the first time for a gel pedicure and it was great. Went back for a gel manicure and got ripped off. I usually get dip powder but when I asked how much it was she said it was $59 which is absolutely crazy!! I decided I would try the salon out for a regular gel manicure since my gel pedicure was nice but, this went wrong. I was asked after she filed my nails if I wanted gel or powder, I said gel. She finishes my nails and I go to pay, when I get to the register the cashier just keeps pressing buttons and adding all of these costs to my nails. They charge to remove powder dip from your nails, which I have never experience. What were they expecting to do new nails over my powder, ridiculous. I look down at the screen and she that my total is $95. I have never paid such a ridiculous price for a manicure. I get nothing crazy and always on my natural nails. I inform the cashier that I had called prior to coming and was told a gel manicure was $30 and she just looks at me and says no you got a different type of gel. Well I didn't even know that there were different types of gel and all I did was ask for a gel manicure not the most expensive gel manicure in all of NY. I explained that I was completely blindsided and up sold on my nails. With all this being said, I will not be going back and I encourage others to be aware of what they are charging ask more than once what they charge and be aware that they charge to remove existing nails (even if they are your natural nails not acrylics)! read more

Me and my friend went here for a gel manicure and pedicure and they did a really great job. Both the staff and owner are really friendly and helpful. On top of that, they sanitize everything every after customer. I definitely recommend this place. read more
