The total was about $90 and I ended up paying $103 + tip since they have a fee for using a card. Go with cash for less fees! They were so attentive and made sure to check my nails after every cure. If there were any issues, they fixed it right away. They don't have as many colors as my other salon but I was pretty content with the options they had. I honestly thought it made the process simpler to pick and they had really nice shades of all the major color groups. I came in with an idea of what I wanted and was able to identify which colors I would need to get to my goal without being overwhelmed by too many options. That definitely made the experience better for me as an indecisive girlie. I will definitely come back next time. They have a lot of areas of manicures-pedicures and I was able to call ahead last minute to see if they had an availability. The moment I got there, I was helped immediately. I would love to try one of their powder set nails next time.

I was recommended to Nail Berry by an acquaintance and have gotten my nails done there (gel mani +…read moreregular pedi) a handful of times. My last two experiences have confirmed for me that my last visit there was my last. My second to last visit, I had made an appointment in for a French pedicure and gel manicure. They assigned me a nail tech who seemed like was doing a pedicure for the very first time in her life. To me, the whole point of making an appointment is to avoid getting someone so inexperienced which is typically designated to walk-ins. I had to stop her before the pedicure even began because it was extremely clear. She had no idea what she was doing... yet she going to give me a French pedicure? Besides this, I decided to continue to give them another chance. I had my manicures done by Anna and was overall really pleased with her work, but I noticed after my last two gel manicures that I had deep ridges in my nails, which, according to Google is damage from improper gel application. Rewind to last Thursday, where I had booked an appointment again in advance for a gel manicure regular pedicure with Anna. The technician who did my pedicure was not Anna, and I was assuming that she was going to at least do my gel manicure as she had done before. The same tech proceeded to do my gel manicure, and I looked a few chairs down and saw Anna giving someone else a dip manicure. Mind you, every single time I had an appointment with Anna she was 20+ minutes late with no apology or explanation. I wish that I had taken a closer look at my pedicure and gel manicure before tipping 22% and leaving the salon. Both my pedicure and manicure are full of air bubbles not even four days later after my manicure, I noticed a chip on my index finger and tonight I noticed five days later that the gel on my thumb is starting to lift. This is a salon that does not honor appointment times, quality, or consistency. All of these inconveniences have added up to the point where I will not be giving this business my money and I advise you to either.

I went to the salon on a Thursday, 11:30am for a regular manicure ($13). Had called the day before to make an appointment, got there a bit late (that's why the bigger tip) but the ladies seemed very relaxed about it. The salon was empty & they were very casual & chatty. Fenny greeted me first & I could tell she's probably very good at nail design & detail. However, the head tech on the far left station, next to the sinks did my manicure. It's a dry (used electric filing tool to do my cuticles), no lotion, no massage experience. And the tech used a dirty (had a smear of purple polish in the middle) warm washcloth as the "hot treatment/cleaning" part. I meditated & lowered my expectations & went with the flow. Let her finish up, things look average & it wasn't until my nails were dry and I got outside that I noticed the poor quality. Application: right hand looked okay but polish got on a few of the cuticles & had to carefully remove it at home. Left hand nail polish layers were bumpy & uneven. I noticed the tech painting strokes at an angle, and then at the end, felt her dab my index finger weirdly. It's easy to mess up enamel application & with a nude color like that - of course it'll show when dry! The salon is a lot bigger on the inside than it looks. The pedicure furniture and manicure stations are clean and well kept. Decor is actually cute & having the sinks in the middle of the room seems so convenient. There's an AMAZING amount of gel & regular color options! But the whole experience just involved a lot of chatter & minimal attention to detail. Not sure if I'll be back, maybe I'll request Fenny (a client came in with long red gels for her). Or maybe the staff doesn't like doing regular mani's anymore?

I chose a light green color and this looks like they applied no color! I told the lady that this did not look like the color I chose and she insisted that it was the correct color and said it was light green. The application is also a mess. Was not worth $70 when there are other nail salons in Astoria that will do the exact thing (and better) for $55. For reference below I put the nail color I chose vs what I got. Do not recommend!!

My nails look beautiful and the shape and finish are exactly what I wanted. The salon itself is very clean and organized, and I appreciated that the tools are properly sterilized and disposable where appropriate. They also offered coffee, tea, water, and even a small sweet treat, which made the visit feel extra welcoming. As a first-time customer, I also received a coupon for my next visit and a cute anime keychain as a thank-you gift. They also offer double points for discounted services when you pay cash, which is a nice bonus. Overall, the attention to detail, cleanliness, comfort, and customer care really stood out. I will definitely be coming back regularly.

The salon is clean and has a relaxing vibe, nice music that does not give you a headache, lots of natural light and many many colors to choose from. The two services, including a spa treatment with my pedicure, took about an hour and a half. That's basically nothing!!! They were so quick with my nails extensions. However, my pinky toe gel didn't hold up after five days () and two of my extension lifted off a bit and I ended up losing them (but that's my fault; as soon as I see an imperfection with my nails I tend to keep touching the area obsessively lol) They also have a points rewards system which I assume will be convenient on the long run. I think this spot is definitely worth it. You can't tip on your card so they give you numbers to zelle for a tip. I prefer to use zelle its actually really nice. This place is so good to me its worth the 30 minutes travel time from my home. The prices are very reasonable and I haven't had a bad experience yet. I personally get an acrylic fill with gel color. Then the matching gel color on my toes. I spent only 112 today which can be a lot for some, but I go monthly due to slow nail growth. I appreciate that they have an Instagram page so I can sort of get an idea of what I want before I come. They are fairly easy to get to by the N train. I find myself taking the R train in because its a nice little walk. I'd recommend the mango pedicure if you have extra cash. They have tons of gel colors here, there's something for everyone. I've yet to break a nail since I've been coming here for a straight 8 months. Carmen and Flor have done my nails the passed couple of times. They both went easy with me knowing I have issues with my wrists. There's no chemical order in this location and its cool inside with their huge AC. If you see a mistake was made on your nails just speak up and they are happy to help. Highly recommend this place. I never feel rushed, I'm a walk in all the time. But they do have appointments if you'd like to make one.

Stay away at all costs, unless you like having toe infections…read more I went to this salon on Friday afternoon for a regular pedicure. I was told it would be a 15 minute wait, which was pretty accurate. I chose a color and was taken to a regular pedicure chair (it doesn't have a massage function). The girl who did my nails was extremely rough. I get that they do a "deep clean" but she was definitely digging in way more than I've experienced at other salons. At one point, the girl asked me if I spoke Spanish. I said no, so she asked one of the women in charge to come over and translate. They asked if I was in pain. I told them not necessarily, that I know they're cleaning the nail bed, and that was that. I figured this was normal and part of their process. Like another reviewer commented, I also was not offered a drink - in fact, another woman offered me a drink (in what seemed like an after thought) as my nail tech finished my pedicure. It seemed to be out of obligation at that point as they definitely catered to their other clients (who they seemed to have a rapport with). I paid $18 plus tax (despite me paying in cash) and tipped my nail tech. However, if I had known I would get an infection, I would run the other way. Since the pedicure, my big toe on my right foot was sore. I figured it was the result of her being a little rough. However, when the pain didn't subside on Saturday, or on Sunday, I began to worry. I woke up today with an inflamed, red toenail/toe bed. I have attached a photo to this review so you can see for yourselves. It is extremely sore to the touch - it hurt even putting pants on this morning when the pant leg hit my toe - and I had to ask to wear open-toe shoes to work because the pain when putting on my regular flats was UNBEARABLE. So now I need to figure out what kind of infection this is (could be fungal, could be something else) and treat my toe on my own. I hope I don't need to go to a doctor for this, because then the pedicure will cost me a whole lot more than around the $25 I spent on it. This is unacceptable on so many levels. This is also the FIRST time I have ever gotten an infection from a nail salon. NEVER AGAIN.

I have nothing bad to say about my pedicure. im just gonna mention that i went in with ballerina's and when Lue (I believe is her name) asked me if i had slippers, i said no, and i asked if i could get some, she was like "we dont have any" so yea i had to walk barefoot in store to go sit for my sns :) Back to the sns. They have a huge variety of colors which i was exited about, i choose like 3 different colors, they had none of them which made me pretty mad and i ended up telling the girl to choose any she liked. I wanted to get some designs, she first said "oh i cant do that because that has to be done w gel" i was confused but i was like, ok do it with gel, no problem. Then she was like, i cant do it tho because i dont know how to, and the girl who does it is about to leave ( the other girl was working on acrylic nails for someone that works there! ) i was like... OK?! She started doing my nails, i was already pissed off, my nails had no shape, they all were different, I told her do them square, she didn't even used an electric nail filling, she used A BUFFER which took MAD LONG! She was going to apply the top gel coat, i just stared At her and literally asked her "ARE U SURE U ARE DONE"?! She was like yea, whats wrong? She ended up "fixing them" but still no shape at all. Without mention that the gel top coat started pealing 4 days after. Ended up paying $87 for pedi and sns // Anyway, if i could give 0 stars to this Place i would :) dont waste your time or money!!

Would never recommend this salon Edit: Julia (the salon manager): I came in the night of February 5th. You are on the second floor of the building on Steinway, correct? Your salon is too unique to be confused for another. Avoiding accountability in all your negative reviews just to have them removed is a terrible business practice and just proves my point. I will add a photo of my nails to help jog your memory. I told your tech I was coming in to fix my nails so late because I was going on vacation the next day, which is why I couldn't come back to fix them. I also paid $100 WITH tip just to fix my original broken nail so why would I return again to pay so much for a terrible job? Your tech said you do hard gel all the time, but when I asked her to fix 2 nails that looked like they were lifting from underneath I was told "yes of course" just for her to leave the air under neath and not fix anything. I was also told that square nails would look better on me after years of having almond/oval. I said I didn't think so but was told it would. The nail tech who was in charge and speaking to me was Latina & the actual nail tech who did my nails never spoke a word to me as the other translated ri her. Not sure if that helps you remember. See photos. I hope you can get this sorted with your nail techs, because both the service itself and the customer service were less than satisfactory
