They went over the top to give me deluxe treatment. Granted, I order the most expensive thing on the menu. I'm pretty satisfied with the attentiveness. I also wanted neutral brown nails that are the color of my skin because I think it's understated and chic. The technician, Peggy, talked me into sparkly pink nails and I feel feminine with them. Good call. The paint job isn't always perfect but this salon brought my natural nails back to life! I definitely recommend Peggy- She doesn't skimp on the foot scrub.

Best pedicure in Queens - never feel rushed out; Best powder gel manicure anywhere. Excellent value.

Uneven coating and cuticles. This was taken a day after.

This place was recommended by my fiancée's sister who lives nearby. We got the spa pedicure and regular mani combo. ($40 something) FH was okay with his service. Mine was not so okay. I mean the lady was nice. But I kept on telling her to coat the sides of my nails. I know it was just a regular mani service, but still, do it well because it's your job. That's how you can get returning customers. They charged me for the quick dry coat. Nobody asked me if I want it or not, before they apply it. Actually not a word after they applied it either. I just found out when I was about to pay. Oh well. Ka-ching! Btw, my hands/nails are still recovering from you nipping my cuticles too much that the skin around my nails are hanging. No choice but to give you 1 star. We won't be coming back here ever.

I've been to this nail spa for a while now and each time I go I get different results each time. But for a while now it's been consistently trash and I really don't know how else to put it nicely. I came in early ~9:15 because I figured it won't be as crowded and they will be able to take their time. I came in for a SIMPLE MANICURE. And they still managed to mess it up. The coating of the polish is uneven and it is very noticeable. There are air bubbles? How? My nails aren't filed equally. And my cuticles are not clean at all. The price was only $8 which is why I'm not entirely upset. But c'mon, I could have done this, if not better, at my own home for free. HOWEVER, if you want to visit Connie's ask for Laura. She's my favorite nail tech. And has given me above satisfactory service each. And every. Time.

This is my all time regular mani pedi place. Pretty close to my house. It's busy most of the time so I make appointment but they take walk-ins too. They do every short of manicure but my all time favorite is French tip. The price is very reasonable and the work they do is fantastic. My favorite is Connie, she knows what I like so I don't even need to tell her what to do. And it lasts for three weeks The place is pretty clean and they always offer you tea or water. They do have spa too but I have never tried it. I like doing pedicure too coz they have the massaging chairs so it's so relaxing.

    48 dollars for this.

Came here after work. They had me soak my nails for 30 mins before helping me. I was on a timeline and just asked them to remove my nails. The lady insisted on doing my nails. I kept telling her I just want my old ones off. Instead she ignored me and did whatever she wanted to do. After the nails came out bad she said she would give me a discount and charged me $48 dollars, which is what I usually pay. Never coming here again !!!!

I wanted to try out a different nail salon from the one i normally go to which was a lot farther. I used to live in the area and passed by but never actually looked into it but I'm glad i did! I came here on a Friday at around 4 with my boyfriend. The moment you walk in, you'll immediately feel welcomed! Connie comes to personally welcome each customer that walks in (I called an hour earlier to check availability and she remembered that I wanted to do acrylics). I was sat immediately, she placed a chair for my boyfriend to sit next to me, and offered us tea which was sweet. The lady who did my nails got started immediately. As I was getting my nails done, I was amazed by how lively this place was! You can tell that the staffs and customers were happy which is a plus and they treat new customers equally as regulars! Every customer that would walk in were welcomed with big smiles and Connie would always know what they want. You can tell that they value customer service! I got an acrylic set which is $30 and an additional $5 to make them coffin-shaped, which is a pretty good price compared to a lot of other nail salons. They have a wide variety of colors from normal nail polishes to gels as well as a pretty display of dip powders. Overall, excellent service and would come here again! Also, as I was leaving, Connie handed me a business card and in the back, it indicated that after 10 visits, you get a free basic manicure which is pretty nice!

I came in with short nails and I have to give props to the tech who worked with them. The nail tech who did my nails was very kind but the execution was very poor. It looks decent at the top but when flipped over my nails had THICK acrylic under and nail polish on my skin. I paid $56 plus $15 tip because they were so nice until I examined them at home.

At 12pm on a Thursday just about every seat was packed. I happened to walk to Opium first, it's pretty much right next door, but they were closed without a sign or anything so maybe everyone just came here like I did. Music was the radio, Light FM. The place is very clean. The pedi chairs have massage functionality. I swear at one point I smelt truffle oil super strong haha. I'm not sure if it was an ingredient in something they were using but it was making me hungry. I got a mani pedi there about 2 weeks ago and it's held up well, even with lots of sandal wearing. Connie is very sweet, all of the employees were really nice. Reasonable prices. They have a loyalty card, so once you hit a certain number of services done you get a freebie. They accept credit (but I try to tip in cash).

Well.. i guess it was connie herself did my manicure. I was visiting and opted to go on just a regular gel polish. She insisted on just filling my acrylics and said to trust her since she knows what shes doing.. Well i guess that was a bad idea, look if you can see through the pictures she was doing it too fast and wounded my skin, also if your nail polish are expired, you could've cared to offer a different one rather than still pushing it through and ended up really awful, look how the nail polish coverage isn't even. Could've been better but surely will never go back! Can't wait to go home and have my local nail salon fix this up.

The person, Christine that did my nails was very careful and patient with doing my nails. She spent time to remove the gel acrylics and doing my sns nails. She responded kindly when I had any concern. My nails came out looking beautiful. I will definitely come back here.

May 31, 2016 // decent gel French mani $30 (I asked Connie not to cut my cuticles so they can heel) BUT...didn't last

First off, I've been here on and off for the last 2 years. The Experience was never consistent. I liked the girl I had before--I think her name was Ivy. However, she no longer works there. Overall, the girls there are nice/harmless and do a decent job As other yelpers have said, Connie, the owner is extremely money hungry and LOUD, which at times can come off rude to many. You cant ever walk in to inquire about prices or wait time without being harassed to stay. Don't ever try to leave after being kept waiting for 1+ hour(s)--Connie and her business partner would say it was a 15 min wait when it wasn't--cause they will attempt to keep you hostage, as in block the doors and yell for you to stay. My recent experience was the worst but I was desperate so I stayed. The wait was an hour long. The owner, Connie, did my gel nails, and was not exactly focused on servicing me. She was mainly concentrating on what was going on around her. I get you're the owner and want to provide "exceptional" service but there is a way to do it, professionally. But no, not in her case. She'd stop amid painting on a coat, stop, check in on her customers, come back forget if she painted on a coat on a particular nail, stop, try to work on a customer complaint or have a conversation with a customer. You get the picture. My pedicure was terrible. They looked loke I did them at home (actually I can do a better job). The paint job began chipping after 2 days. Hygiene is NOT A TOP PRIORITY HERE. The tools are old and rusty, and they reuse the foam filers and buffers. (Gross) I would NOT recommend coming here unless you're in the area and desperate for a last minute mani/pedi. Otherwise, stay away. Two stars for a decent job though they did not last.

This is my s time coming to Connie's. At first she greeted you so friendly and then the service is so amazing. I did a powder gel which is only $35 and i actually wanted the other colour, but i guess she forgot. But turns out, i LOVE the colour that she put on me. Christine is really good at doing powder gel. I also got a regular pedicure for $16 which is a little more than usual but the lady that did me was so lovely and friendly. Definitely coming back! Very nice owner and staff! People are still nice and stuff. But if you decide to get gel powder, please dont go with Susan. She did a great job but the results, no no no. The other day she was doing my nails and eating fruits. With her hand. Pretty gross right? A little rude as well! Go with Connie or Christine. They're the best! Not susan. Sorry girl, but you were mean to me.

Bad side paint job. This was just one nail out of 4 that looked like this.

Massage: I suffer from chronic neck, shoulder and back pain caused from past sports and high stress from work that leave me with nausea, severe migraines and trouble focusing. I was seeing a masseuse and several different types of doctors trying to remedy some of my pain, most recently a neurologist. 30 minutes with Lola and my pain, nausea and focus have done a 360. After spending the last 2 years seeking specialists of different kinds I have finally found some relief. (The hot oil at the end is to die for) Thank you Lola! Pedicure: Pedicure was great, the chairs give a great massage as well and the product used felt amazing. Manicure: Goodbye to powder dip! My nails had literally one more dip left in them before my nails would be too thin to do much with them anymore. Luckily Lola put me onto a different type of manicure that would save my nails. (not sure what it is called) This was the best manicure I have had in my whole 12 years living in Queens/Jersey/Manhattan and in my life! Eyebrow wax: Say no more. Chocolate wax (Smelled tasty) and overall the best wax and shaping I have ever had. Overall: All the staff are professional and friendly and it's a nice calm/relaxing environment. All the product used is top notch. This will be my one and only place to go as long as I live in this neighborhood!!!! I would have almost not written a review to keep this a secret, but it's already out! Thanks Lola and team for making this my best spa experience ever :)

I made appointment for my daughter and I to get our nails done for her communion. Her first nail salon experience! She wanted gel manicure pedicure, which is fine I knew I was going pay a little bit more than the regular child's manicure pedicure and I wanted to get gel X. The lady who did my nails was very cold as if she was doing me a favor to do my nails so that was a little disappointing. When I mentioned my daughter wanted A gel manicure and a gel pedicure, her girl was flabbergasted. The behavior was just a little embarrassing. It's OK for an eight-year-old to do a little gel manicure for the first time in her life for her communion. She kept yelling GEL? Gel?! She painted them fine even though they fell off two days later, but the bow design looked horrible. My daughter asked for a blue bow on one nail and I still got charged $10. I understand that nails cost money but for a shitty bow on one nail? they still charged me an adult gel manicure and adult pedicure on a kid so why not throw that in for free. Now I wanted a particular design because I knew the girl was talented enough to do it, but she, for the life of me could not understand what I wanted. Another customer had explained to her in Spanish and she still didn't want to understand. It felt like she didn't feel like doing it.. So then I said, Forget it let's just do a French with the blue bow so I can match my daughter. She starting to do a French with blue polkadots. I didn't feel like arguing, they look cute so I said whatever let's do it. Also I just wanted a light whiteish pink on my toes and apparently every light color they have is see through. I Felt like they were shoving a marshmallow color down my throat from my toes, so I agreed to it, but it was like a light gray. I did not like that at all. But again, whatever I just wanted to get it over with. Again, my pedicure was done nicely. The color sucked, but whatever. I really wish they were nicer because I did like the way my nails were done. I've been on a search for a good Nail Salon for so long. The nails were done so nicely, but the entire experience sucked. The lack of customer service, the lack of warmth and welcoming energy is what made me not tip them well and not want to come back. Which sucks because I loved the way my nails were prepped and done. Once I find someone talented, I usually go to them for a lifetime and I really want to come back, but I don't want to sit in a shitty environment.

They had another manicurist, Dolker, step in and she completely turned it around. She checked in with me on each nail and executed the design way better -- I left really happy.
