Dont know why I've taken so long to write a review because I've been coming here for years. I go to Emma but I've used a few others. She's a perfectionist, sweet and does an excellent job. She remembers my name and converses with me or leaves me to be when I need/want. The vibe is always friendly. The only downfall are appointments. It you don't book ahead you're basically screwed. They are busy and you won't get the time you need/want if you try and call last minute. Weekends are insane here. read more

One of the girls who did my nails did a terrible job. the fact that she saw her work and tried to put nail polish over it instead of being honest and speak to the manger and let her know what was happening. I took a pause to show the owner. I was already there for almost two hours. owner decided to remove them and I asked to go get coffee real quick and she told me to HURRY UP! mind you I needed to get back to my child by a certain time. I will never go back which is sad because I have memories there with my sister who recently passed away. I had a positive experience here from start to finish. I had no problem booking appointments for my mom and myself for the same day. When we got there, the staff was busy, but everyone was still courteous, patient and efficient. I noticed that they were quite gentle with older customers who walked in, whether they were there for their nail appointments or for the hair salon station at the rear of the shop. My mom had her gel polish removed and a new gel color applied without issue. I came in with a full set dip powder manicure done elsewhere (that I didn't like for a number of reasons). I had two people remove it in stages and they were both gentle. From previous experience, I was worried that my nail bed would burn from rough, rushed removal, but that wasn't the case here. The staff answered my questions and were helpful with finding the best option for my needs; they listened and that was so nice to experience for once. One of my concerns about getting a dip powder manicure again was having thick, chunky nails that also looked wider than my actual nails. The nail tech paid mind to this and made sure my nails were none of the above. Throughout the whole manicure I didn't have to remind & guide the nail tech on the shape I wanted; I didn't have to ask her to keep filing any nails that were different shapes, lumpy or too thick; I didn't have to insist that I didn't want any other nail shape but the one I preferred; I didn't have to wince in pain nor pull or jerk my hand away on impulse from anything painful; I DIDN'T BLEED - not once! I. was. chilling. The only time I had to say anything was when I had an idea for a glitter design and the staff accommodated my request. By the way, the techs were friendly and respectful. Those qualities are important when you're sitting with someone for over an hour, receiving a service to pamper yourself. In the end, my nails turned out beautiful and better than I imagined. I felt comfortable to ask them a question about my next manicure there. My mom and I left this nail salon happy. read more

So upset I had to leave a review. I had the gel French manicure which were great! And a regular French pedi with callus remover... it wasnt the same person that did my fingers however I wished it was. No matter how cheap a place is I have never ever left with my callus looking this bad! My feet still look crusty af.. He put on the medicine to remove callus and only filed it for no joke less than 20seconds each foot. I kindly asked if he was going to use the metal scraper or even the square buffer to smooth it out and he was like no thats it. Callus is finished.. I was shocked and since there were alot of people I felt embarrassed to push the issue any further. All he used were the little sandpaper like on a plastic handle. Less than 20 seconds for sure. My little side ingrown was just pushed back in that couldve easily just been cut on the left big toe. Just lazy undetailed terrible work. Im not even that difficult to please. I just cared about the callus remover for pedi.. and just focus on 3 spots of my foot. These photos were taken just 3 min from leaving the salon so it doesn't do it justice because it was still somewhat moisturized. After when it was dry it was just terrible.. I had to go back to my nail salon after and spend even more for another pedi.. i will NOT be going back here for a pedi ever again. read more

Jason and Kelly are the best. The best nail power couple ever. So happy I discovered this place a couple of months back after moving to Maspeth. They are great at what they do. My usual is pedi and SNS, though they offer a menu of pedi spa services and do amazing designs also. After 9 years of marriage I finally convinced my husband to do a pedicure and get his ingrown nails taken cared of. Well Jason did not disappoint and my husband now gets pedis regularly every three weeks (thank God). I highly recommend this nail salon- parking in the area is a hit or miss- and the paid parking machines barely work which sucks. Otherwise no complaints! read more

Place is great! Clean. I am very particular about my nails and like a fresh look. They have the most updated colors. They are crowded and you'll need an appointment but that means theyre good. I get SNS powder. They last me full 2 weeks and sometimes 3 weeks. Pedicure chairs comfy and very clean Definitely give them a try if you're in the Maspeth area. I have tried both Emma and Kelly! Between the not picking up the phone on certain days or time due to them being busy you still need an appointment. I had an appointment at opening- they were closed which is no one's fault I decided to wait because of the weather in my vehicle parked right out front. When they opened I decided to wait 3 more minutes before stepping in. Once I did turns out they wanted to have me wait as they have decided to give my time slot to someone who had walked in. I love that they take their time to do my nails but I was not going to wait any longer as I had to wait already 25 mins for the shop to open. The highlight is how much pride they take in their work. I appreciate that. My favorite nail tech is Jason (A nail expert & very charming). The place itself is has simple decor with spa music playing. You really need an appointment prior to going. I see them turning walk ins away because they are so busy. It is difficult to give a New York nail salon a 5 star review as many don't make the cut and you see all the news reports about many of them not taking sanitary precautions but this place met the mark of excellence. Came across this place on Yelp after searching for a new place to get my nails done when I moved to Maspeth a few weeks ago. And I'm so glad I did! Jason is the best, he advised me to try the dipping powder instead of my usual gel polish, telling me it would last longer/not chip. And almost 3 weeks later I can confirm he was absolutely right! Being a bartender my hands are in water a lot, so gel usually chips and cracks eventually, but the dipping powder has stayed perfect!
