I am confused at the low rating with this business. I am so happy I went to this place. So much so, that here I am, writing a review. This is such a nice little gem. They were clean, prompt, fast and Cristina made sure that I like the shape of my nails and satisfied every step of the way. I don't even live in New York but she is definitely my new manicurist for sure. Hey flight attendant, if you're looking for a place that won't take advantage of you, take their time, with international prices, this is the gem for you. Bring cash otherwise, you'll have to pay the hefty 9% NYC tax. I had a dip with a pedi. Paid 60 bucks they did such a great job. Also, They will remove your ingrown if you ask. The business was good well done with nails . however, it's best to pay first before anything done because my daughter and friend went there both felt " rush" to pay for the service. the lady did not ask permission if she could go over her purse or bag to get her credit card or payment method. she went ahead. nothing was stolen although I knew what her intentions were probably no bad intentions. It's still best practice to ask permission from your customers if they need help taking your wallet out or credit card (in order to avoid further damage to the nails .) It doesn't apply to all customers especially that u have a business to run .Provide proper training to your staff to provide customer service satisfaction and keep customers happy . Know what is acceptable and appropriate. otherwise , it's a good business and always apologize for the inconvenience. after all, customer is always right. read more

I went there originally with my boyfriend in the beginning of August. When we got there the salon was empty and there were no customers, I should've taken it as a bad sign. However the ladies were so nice and when I asked how long a gel manicure lasts they said around 3 to 4 weeks depending on the person. Which is pretty standard so we stayed. The service in all was pretty ordinary and what you get at any salon. The prices are cheap. I noticed that they don't use a new or sanitized set of tool each time though. The cuticle cutter she used on me, she took from the station next to us. It was already opened and just sitting there. Within the first 4 days my nail beds started ripping and peeling. The nail polish started lifting, so my hair kept getting stuck underneath it. Before the first week even ended, two of my nails had polish ripped off of them. I called the nail salon and asked them if this is something that they can help me with. And they told me to come in. After I got there I spoke to the same lady that did my boyfriend's nails. She didn't remember us and told me "it's normal for this to happen after one week." I asked her how that was possible if it was the gel nail polish. And she was just very dismissive and annoyed by my presence. She said she would fix only the nails that had no polish but won't deal with the ones that are lifting. She also said she would only do regular manicure and not gel. Since I didn't see the point in wasting my time to get three nails done I left. They didn't apologize or explain. They just didn't care. For a salon that might not get enough customers you would think they would care about the clients that they do have. Their prices might be cheap because their nail polishes are too. I've never seen a gel manicure last this short of a time. Save your money and go somewhere else. With the $5-$10 you save you'll get much less quality. It's not worth it. read more

I got my SNS removed (done by another salon but this place happened to be close). The lady helping me was getting the filing machine on my skin a few times and their machine was heating up too much. It hurt so I just let her know nicely that it hurt and it's hot. Not even rude at all. But they went ahead and laughed and talked about it with one saying in Spanish "she's exaggerating!"...not knowing that I speak Spanish. They are VERY rude. Anyone who does this should not ever be in the service business. I noticed she's trying to do the job quickly so I guess they all felt annoyed that doing the job gently would waste more time. Update: I originally sent this review on Google and the owner did not even acknowledge that they were rude. Her response was just to "not come back" if I'm not happy with the service. She's being defensive because they got caught talking about customers thinking they don't speak their language. Ma'am you did not have to tell me not to come back to your dirty nail salon. She asked what my appointment was for, I showed her the email confirmation, and I was then told the woman who does the full set isn't there on Sundays. I booked an appointment online for a fill in and pedicure. My feet came out beautiful and is still good after a week or so. So she got that. But when it came to my nails, at first she said she was not able to give me a fill in because I had gel from my previous nail appt. and that she had SNS powder. Me, getting my nails done all the time, Its bs. YOU CAN STILL GET A FILL IN , NO MATTER IF IT WAS GEL, REG NAIL POLISH, POWER DIPPED ( For the people in the back). Anyway. So after convincing her she can do it, she started the process and I had to stop her after she was done with my first hand because the polish was slapped on there poorly, my nail was not shaped and it was just bad. She said she was not able to see my nails from her angle and is why she didn't catch those mistakes. Which is a Red FLAG. Cause girl what are you telling meee? So she did that over, which was not an issue she was very understanding. But being there from 10:40 and leaving from there around 4, I was not impressed with my nails at all and did not care to tell her about herself. So when it was time to pay, I was surprised because I was charged $9 for her removing the nail polish from my toes, which is new to me, because removing the polish .. isn't that part of a pedicure ?? and if so, why $9 . Sheesh and then I was charged a tax fee, which is not their fault, but I mean damn. The next day, my polish chipped off my whole damn nail. and the others was chipping also, I called the place told them wassup and I went back that Monday, I went to a different lady who was very nice and repainted all my nails. Which chipped again the very next day. AND this not no regular polish, this is gel, so why is it chipping the next day?? So I just ended up going to my regular place, getting a full fresh set . Don't waste your time or money people. (I spent $35 on the pedicure, a sudden $9 for removing the nail polish and $30 for a shitty fill in , plus the tax, so about $87, and no I did not tip, cause I hate it theree.) read more

I've been going to this salon for 2 years religiously. They recently switched owners. Completely new staff. I tried making an appointment 2 weeks ago and the lady Maria was extremely rude and nasty. So I tried a new place for the first time in 2 years. Then I went back and met the owner and he seemed nice and kind so I booked an appointment. I just got back from trying to confirm the appointment and also add a gel pedicure to my visit. I had yet another unpleasant experience with Maria who has absolutely no customer service or social skills whatsoever. They kept one of the women from the old staff. Like I previously stated I was open to trying this place even after my first interaction. However I can't see how this could possibly ever be a pleasant experience with Maria in that salon. I'm so sad to say I must look for a new salon. I would not have high hopes. read more

Magnificent salon! Very spa-like atmosphere with soft music and peaceful nature videos playing on the TV. Maria is a gem who does great manicures and pedicures. Very reasonable prices for the high level of service. Very compassionate and patient with elderly clients. Definitely going back! This is our new favorite neighborhood salon. Special shout out to the delightful young man who helps out with various chores in the salon.
