I had a terrible experience at this salon and will not be returning…read more During my pedicure, the technician was extremely rough while using one of her tools and ended up cutting my toe. When I reacted because it hurt, she initially dismissed my concerns and acted as though I was just being sensitive. It wasn't until my toe started bleeding that it became obvious something was wrong. Even then, she minimized the situation, saying it was "a small thing," despite my toe bleeding continuously for several minutes. She tried to continue the pedicure as if nothing had happened. I had to tell her to stop because there was no way I could continue while my toe was actively bleeding. It wasn't until I said I was done with the service that the technician finally apologized. What was even more disappointing was the lack of concern from management. While I was sitting there holding a cotton ball against my bleeding toe, the manager never came over to check on me or ask if I was okay. When the technician told the manager that I wouldn't be getting the service, the manager simply responded, "I know," and walked away. The only thing the manager eventually offered me was a Band-Aid. Accidents can happen, but what made this experience unacceptable was how both the technician and the manager handled the situation. Instead of showing empathy, taking accountability, or making any effort to address what had happened, they minimized the incident and seemed unconcerned. Customer care and professionalism were clearly lacking, and I cannot recommend this salon.

Came across Reina about a year ago, in search of a nail salon that could be my go to place - I…read morepersonally hate the feeling of jumping from one place to another, always not knowing how it's gonna come out, uneasy feeling with different nail techs, being uncomfortable as a "new" client. For me, Reina makes me feel at ease, comfortable or "at home". Every time I walk into the store, at least one or two techs will say hello and asks you what would you like done. Carol, the owner, seems very attentive, delightful to work with and treats the staff respectfully. The times I was here when it wasn't busy, someone is always cleaning or wiping down. When they're busy taking one customer after another, I've seen them sanitize their tools in between. I do agree with some of the comments that it is a hit or miss. I usually do walk-ins when i come here thinking maybe I could try it out with another tech to at least broaden my options/ compare their works and see who's work i like best. In all fairness, I only have had the chance to work with 3 of their techs - Amy, Lisa and another one we won't name because that's the miss. So now I've learned to call in advance and ask for either of the 2 ladies I've mentioned. Overall: Ambiance - serene, calm, "light" Store - clean, a little tight Sanitation - hygienic Customer service - good Pricing - reasonable Wait time - varies Staff - pleasant

The table in the room was so small my feet touched the wall; I'm 5'7. The technician was inexperienced and sloppy. To reiterate, I have been doing this for 30+ years. They DOUBLE DIP in the wax. My legs were stuck to the paper covering the table. Don't go.

After the service, I noticed that there were huge chunks of skin ripped out below my eyebrow and at my upper lip. She told me it was normal for waxing and blamed it on my pimple? I've never had this happen before. I also noticed they double dip for the wax. I received no apologies, absolutely nothing. Never coming here again and would never recommend this place to anyone. ** Update: Went back and the manager, Ava, came in to apologize and offered a full refund. I appreciate her sincerity and she took full accountability for her employee's actions. The woman who did my service apologized but continued to make excuses as to why it happened and blamed it on the weather (?). She obviously didn't take accountability, but I didn't want to waste anymore time arguing with her. **

However they insisted on cash or Venmo. I don't carry cash and my phone was dead (so no access to Venmo). HOWEVER they forced me to charge my phone with the salon charger so they can receive tip through Venmo. This was humiliating and not to mention entitled of the salon to assume that they earned a tip. They acted this way even though there were other customers in the salon watching all of this happen. After charging my phone for a min, they admitted that they can accept tip through card. The pedicure itself was fine but I am never going back here for the horrible customer service. Up until this point, the service was great and I was planning on making Kawaii Salon my main spot for manis and pedis. Ended up tipping $10 on $60 pedi.
