Another place struck gold! NaNa Nail is amazing. It is pretty, clean, and when I walked in at 6 pm, I was greeted with smile. That's already better than the two prior nail places I tried before this. The chairs are spacious and comfortable. I picked my color, and one woman took me back to do my eyebrows - best experience ever. She was so friendly and my eyebrows have honestly never been done with such precision- best part is, I DIDNT EVEN FEEL IT. That's how gentle she was with both the wax and the tweezers. I would come back here solely to get my eyebrows done. The woman doing my nails was quiet (which is again different than most nail experiences I've had) but it was also relaxing. She was thorough fixed all the nails I definitely mess up with my 4+ miles a day. She did a great job with the cuticles and cleaning. 10/10 would (and will) come back. I have been coming to this place every few months since it opened. I decided to write a review since there were several bad reviews which was surprising. The owner is always at the store and she is lovely. There is usually only one other woman working alongside her, so I find that an appointment is helpful. Just calling a few hours before can ensure there is not a wait. This is not a luxurious nail salon, but it is not an unsanitary one which was mentioned in a previous review. All my manicures and pedicures have been done well. The gel manicures last weeks and weeks as they are supposed to. The prices are average for the neighborhood. I've been coming to this nail salon forever. The owner is a sweetheart. I do my nails with any girl at this point everyone is very nice and friendly. This is probably the only place that files your gel off your nails. They don't use a drill to mess your nails up. So that's really nice. It's very clean inside and they use new/clean tools every time. I tried many different spots and there's nothing like this one. If you want some nice pretty nails come here! Staff has great customer service and this is a pretty convenient location for people that live in the area. Most nail locations are on Queens Blvd. They also use Zoya nail polish as their main brand. They do have Essie but only a few colors. FYI - they do not do acrylic. So why 3 stars? I got a french manicure today and usually I get the SNS dip powder or gel so it could last longer. I'm glad I tested their French mani skills first. The white lines on my French mani were not straight, some were thin others were wide. I had a lot of white on the sides of some of my fingers so the errors weren't properly cleaned up. My pedicure did come out well but I felt that for the $24 price tag you should get a little more service added to it than what I got. I appreciate that this place puts a plastic cover over the foot soak bowl. That step makes the service a bit more hygienic. The dryer's are brand new so that's always a plus. They have a set up with dryers for hand and foot. But only 3 seats for drying. They also said they use a quick drying top coat. However I beg to differ as I stayed with my hands under the dryer for 15 mins and my mani wasn't fully dry. This is a no frills place. It doesn't seem like you can come here to get a design done as I didn't see any examples to choose from. The most they have is a spa pedicure and it's $50. The location is clean, with minimal decoration. I would come here again but only for a simple gel mani and a regular pedi. read more

The shop is under new management. I really enjoyed the previous owner and her team, but decided to give the new team a chance. My pedicure was fine, but when it came down to my gel manicure, I was concerned. They brought out a small bowl to soak my nails as per the usual process, to which my nail tech never did. Basically the bowl was untouched and my tech overfocused on sanitizing my nails over and over. I appreciate the attention to cleanliness, but to skip the essential step of soaking is a rookie mistake. My tech also overfocused on curing 3-5x each coat under the uv light. I had 5 coats so that's almost 20-25mins under UV. I definitely felt my hands being overexposed to the UV and weird tingly feeling underneath my skin. This is potentially dangerous and heightens cancer risk. Really this is about the tech vs the other staff. I was really coming back because I enjoyed Leo from the previous staff, but with her now gone, will be considering a different spot next round. read more

She was also my manicurist and my basic gel manicure was done so horribly that 1 week later it has been peeling off. I regret giving this place my business. I really wanted to like this place despite the bad reviews. This place is a 35 second walk from my apartment. The technician I got could give two sh*ts about her job. Everything from the beginning was half a$s. I'm not even certain how she even got her license to be completely honest. I don't think she herself has gotten a pedicure before. If you are picky about cleanliness, and how your nails are shaped/files and the evenness of the paint - DO NOT COME HERE. None of these ladies are friendly or care about their job. Both girls were on her phone the entire time i was there. My technician DABBED on nail polish. Not strokes, it's almost like blotting or dabbing polish on. Three coats of it. It's because they water down their polish with thinner. All the nail polish is touching my nail beds. Polish on my cuticles and on my skin. She didn't bother cleaning it up. I also asked for the water to be warmer. She poured some luke warm water in -NO CHANGE IN WATER TEMPERATURE. I'm telling you, she does not give a f*ck about her work or her customers. Im going to stick to going to Pink Nails on Queens Boulevard. They are nicer and have pride in their work. I could have done a better job doing it myself. read more

I grew up in this neighborhood and always had a hard time finding a good nail salon on my block. I usually go up to Queens Blvd and sometimes (esp in the winter) it's a pain in the butt. This nail salon is fairly new so it's nice and clean. The service is great-- I got a gel mani/pedi and it was done professionally. They took their time even though it was nearing their closing time. The girls also didn't pressure me to do anything else which I like. Some new salons can be sketchy and they are not. Check them out, I loved it and will be a regular. I went back today to have the gel polish taken off and the woman filed the top of two of my nails so far down that it reached my nerves and I have to go to an urgent care office now!!! This place is new so everything inside is fresh. The gel colors have a beautiful display. My pedicure looks good and my fingernails were shaped better than in any spot in the neighborhood. There was also minimal gossip among the nail techs, which is imperative so you actually have a salon experience where you leave with less than you came with. My only gripe is it's expensive. This is my second time coming here. The first time wasn't bad, but the second time around she did a sloppy job. I came to do Sns dip powder.. she didn't clean my cuticles, didn't lotion my hands. She asked me if she can be back in 5 minutes to give another client a massage and i didn't make a problem, even though there were two workers who weren't busy. I messed one of my nails, a little smudge. All she had to do was put a clear coat again but instead she's giving me an attitude and tells me i'm not patient, but i was being patient when you were giving another client a massage. Rude. I came in for a gel manicure with no appointment and I was lucky to have been accommodated on a Saturday morning with no wait. My technician was friendly, but seemed distracted, mainly because she was in charge of managing customers who walked in. Because so much was going on, my manicure was rushed and sloppy. The enamel barely set and some of the gel got onto my skin, which is very painful as it burns under the UV light. I very infrequently review but I am frustrated beyond words. I live 1 minute from this place and for convenience I was so happy. But, I've gone a few times and everytime it gets worse. Not withstanding the sterile uninviting atmosphere, the gel manicure is horrible because they use substandard nail color. I just had my nails done Friday, 3/30. On Saturday, 3/31, I was back to have a nail fixed because the polish literally peeled off. Today, Monday...April fools-back to have 2 more nails fixed for the same reason! At first attitude was given because I complained that I did make an appointment and it was 6:13 already, but yet didn't get attended till 6:30. I had an amazing experience at this salon. The manicurists were lovely and friendly, they offered me coffee and water and loved to have a conversation. The place is beautiful and clean and my nails look absolutely amazing. They also offer you a card in which you mark of each time you get your nails done , in order for you to eventually get a free manicure. This is overall the best experience I have had at a nail salon ever, cant wait to come back. Would definitely give them more stars if I could! read more
