After I did some research the Rego nail had better review then other salons in Rego Park. So I decided to give this a try! The staff is really friendly and they are not in a rush to finish the job and take another client. I had mani-pedi for $20 ( not bad for Sunday!). It wasn't really neat the way the guy put the polish on my nails , but he was really trying to fix it and it finally appeared well!(even though he didn't have much experience, he might be new there). I hated everything about this place. First - NOTHING is cleaned or sterilized. It's SO ironic because there are so many plastic barriers set up due to covid but they don't even sterilize equipment or clean the bowls that they use to soak your fingers I made an appointment for 2 - I was taken at my appointment time but the person I was with had to wait 30m to be seen because they overbooked. I requested a design to be made and was told unless I wanted powder they weren't going to give me a design on my nails - not even for an extra charge. Basically they're trying to up-sell their powder/gel mani/pedi. I asked for more than one color on my mani and was told they're going to charge me extra for that - I've always gotten more than one color at every place I've gone to I was never charged more. It was *the MOST painful* manicure I've ever received in my life. Way too much was taken off around the cuticle. They were in such a rush to complete the job and basically have us leave. No one checked on us when we were at the fans and it was FLITHY underneath. My hands were covered in some type of oil. The woman giving me a mani/pedi sent the time constantly slapping at flies and other bugs. No post treatment massage. Threw my shoes when I was going on the dryer. No goodbye. Nothing. Bare minimum, sometimes less, is all youll get. They were annoyed tip was left on the card The music is like cheesy old love songs that not even hallmark would play. I've been to this nail shop twice already and both times were great. I went early in the morning during the weekday and was the only customer present. They have free WI-FI which I love and use while I am getting my pedicure. The seats are big and comfy and the prices are reasonable for the area. The staff are cool and friendly and the service is quick and fast with quality work. My first visit I had a guy who did my mani/pedi and also did a quick shoulder massage while drying and I was two minutes away from the getting the full body massage because that little tease of the shoulder was amazing. The second time a young lady did my nails and it was fine with no issues or negative experiences. I usually get my nails done in Brooklyn, my old neighborhood. Been coming here for 6 months. Like routine but do not like when they mess up multiple times had a pedicure paint smudged 2 hours after appointment. I went back next day did a horrible job fixing the toes smudged again 4 hours afterwards. This never happens to me as I am super careful. I've been going to this salon for a few months and their quality is really declining over the last few times I visit. They always cut my cuticles too deep and the owner Jane is always trying to upsell me. They're so greedy it's disgusting. I hate everything here and they do messed up job all the time. Honestly with so many other much better nail salon options just down the block I'm shocked that there are still customers here. Please do yourself a huge favor stop coming here. I been going here for a year and this is my third time they completely messed up my nails and left me with a bad experience and pissed me off. So i will not be returning. The owner Jane, is very money hungry its actually disgusting. She pushes and pushes people to spend extra and get all this extra stuff done, she did my pedicure once and it was a spa pedicure which was maybe $35. I asked for gel polish, I expected some extra fee but she wanted to charge me $72 for a pedicure. She wanted to charge me for both a spa pedicure and gel pedicure, even though its one pedicure just different polish. Eva does my nails regularly. Sometimes she cuts me and i leave it alone, this time she cut me 3 times and left blood. And she kept giggling i told her it hurt. I tipped her $10 and i paid with my card and she wrote $5 on the tip line and says 'you give a little more ok?" The audacity is all I'm gonna say. Pictured is my nails after just one week and it's powder gel, i paid $45 for and gel pedicure. My toe nails ALWAYS break after a pedicure especially. read more

This place is great! My favorite nail salons in Forest Hills. I've been coming here since they first opened. The owner (Jane) and all the staff are super friendly and accommodating. One of the best parts is their comfy seats for pedicure. It's a full massage chair that you are in control of...sweet!! Makes you want to sit there for hours. They're prices are also great. They have a special Mon-Thurs for Mani/Pedi $16...definitely can't beat that!! The place is clean and has various other services to choose from including a delicious chocolate wax!! Though I have not yet tried it, my sister in law has and can't stop raving about it! This place is simply a gem in the area. The staff will go that extra mile to take care of you. Edit to 2 stars (because I am happy with the result): I went yesterday to get my nails done after the holidays. They had a brand new selection of powder gel colors to choose from. Without hesitation I picked the one I liked. Aside from the fact I had an appointment at 4, was started at 4:30 and left at 5:45, the nail color I chose or "design" according to them cost me an extra $15 on top of the regular $35. I don't care about price, but I have been coming there for 2 years and the fact they had no decency to tell me BEFORE what I want would cost extra is very sly and RUDE. I said nothing, paid and tiped, and I will not be returning to Rego Nails. Lesson learned: you have to be and act cheap and ask if things cost extra, they won't have the nerve to tell you themselves with fear you want to pay the extra money. read more

The lady was working on my pedicure while a man worked on my hands while I was receiving the pedicure. The spa pedicure(lavender ) was relaxing & soothing. Vathu was really professional and taken her time to remove my previous gel manicure the correct way and not the buffer which I appreciate. She was fast and efficient. I did the powder gel M6 and it came out wonderfully. I had powder gel in a precious place and it was too thick, Vathu made sure it was beautiful and perfect. One of the best shellac manis I've ever had, hands down lol. I had a groupon for two shellac manis, pedis and foot massages. Jane, the owner,took care of me. She did stop once during my service to do someone's eyebrows, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Shellac lasted two weeks and the pedi was done well. She even showed me the timer set to 10 min before doing my foot massage so I could see she was giving me the full time. They have a great selection of colors and the space is clean. I will def come back for shellac at least. Update: my shellac lasted for almost 3 weeks! I took it off only because I got bored with the color! read more

The first time I came here was when I was on my way to see a client nearby and a bird took a crap and got my feet and all over my shoes. (My open toe pumps we're so gross) I walked across the street to this salon and was met by a woman who saw my issue, she looked at me and said: "pedicure?" "Yes, please" She started laughing, and a few second later everyone wanted to know what was so funny. People came over to see me cleaning my pumps with baby wipes from my purse and getting my feet rinsed off of all the bird crap. When the woman finally rinsed off my feet, we realized that with those five minutes of having the bird poop on my feet, it had eaten away at my nail polish! (Ladies with gel manicures, take notes) So I had 45 minutes. The woman suggested a quick swap of a pale coral color to match my nails, and a silk milk pedicure. When I saw it said 60 minutes long for the silk milk, I told her no because I was on a time restriction. She said okay and we did a simple stub pedicure, since I still had bird poop in the edges of my nails. She rinsed all the poop off first and then scrubbed my feet with a white scrub, and rinsed everything off before filling up the basin with water. She took the nail polish off, and started to have me soak for a bit. She then gave me a quick five minute massage, and rinsed my feet and legs off. She put on my shoes for me, and was smart enough to not wrap the paper around my toes, but just weave them in between for easy removal, and proceeded to paint my toes. 25 minutes had gone by already and I had just gone under the dryer. I paid and ten minutes later, I was out the door. My nails were not fully dry, which she warned me about, but I never want to be late. Sure enough, the pedicure stood up, smudge free, and I'm in the clear. Thank you! If I'm in the neighborhood, I would come here, but I would not come out of my way to do so. read more

The first thing I noticed about the place is that the lady running it speaks fluent English. She fields phone calls, appointments and incoming while overseeing manicures, translating, and takes the time to know everyone personally and sell more services. She's a hoot, she's got hutzpa, she's a hard-core businesswoman. And if you let her run you, she will. She's got a steady neighborhood following. I go on Saturdays, which are generally busy. I'd say the manicure and pedicures are fine, the waxing (bikini and eyebrow) is also fine. I've been "done" by almost everyone at the shop and never had a problem -- except that it can be way time-consuming, which is the setback of almost all salons -- if there's no one in there, or no one coming, they take their time which means they take yours too. If I'm in a rush, I tell them so, and have them put the polish on with my jacket on, arm through my pocketbook strap and keys next to my hand, and skip the dry cycle. I also avoid making an appointment -- I stick my head in and if they can take me, I go in. If they've got people, I skip being lied to about how much time it will take and come back another time. read more

I would never recommend rego nail spa, especially an Asian woman by the name of Jane. She doesn't completely take off the gel or powder that you had on before putting on a new set. She doesn't know how to do designs and doesn't tell you beforehand that she doesn't know even when you ask her. Yells when you ask her to do something or change something. Forces high price nails on you. She cut one of my fingers and refused to do anything to stop the bleeding and immediately put acetone over it after I asked her not to, and told her that it was burning. I showed her a picture of white nails that I wanted and she insisted it was blue. So much so that I started to second guess my own eyes. Sent the picture to 7 people and they all said it was white with no question. Then, after redoing one nail that she kept messing up, there was a black streak left on the nail, and she tried to leave it that way, saying that my nail caused that.. However, when I told her to redo it, my nails suddenly didn't "cause it" again. It was a very stressful and uncomfortable experience. I would not recommend. I should've learned after the first encounter with her but figured I'd give it another chance. She swears she knows more than every and anyone and doesn't know shit. I stayed there an extra hour than I needed to and missed an appointment that I had afterwards. She rushes and doesn't pay attention to her work or the customers needs. She's even annoying to the workers. I literally cried bc of how terrible she was to me and left with extreme anxiety. NEVER AGAIN!!! Please advocate for yourself at these nail salons and get your moneys worth. Do not leave there with nails that you aren't happy with to the point that they make you cry. Nails are very expensive these days and getting what you asked for is the least that can be done. read more

I've been coming here for over a year but enough is enough and I won't be returning. It's a shame because Vutha is a friendly and honest perfectionist that always aims to do a fantastic job with the dip powder technique, but her coworkers have ruined this salon for me. Do not be deceived like I was; they take appointments and walk-ins knowing they are fully booked for that time slot and have little to no time for you. I ended up being seated right away, but was left with acetone soaking (read: burning) on my nails for at least 30 minutes while the first technician left to work on another client (without so much as a word--just got up from her seat and left). Later on, I was shuttled to two different seats and technicians to apply the new color. Three different people and moving three different stations for a single powder gel service is ridiculous. Not to mention, I was not told about the price increase until AFTER the manicure was 90% done. At that point, it was too late to change anything or just get up and leave. The shoulder massage included at the end was completely neglected as well. What usually costs only $35 for me ended up being a $60 disappointing service. Their prices are the same as everyone else's. Please avoid and go somewhere else where they have fresh sanitized tools for each client, and don't reuse aluminum foils, forget about you while working with other clients, leave out parts of the service, talk about you amongst themselves (surprise! I do understand parts of your dialect), play musical chairs, or intentionally deceive you. read more

Jane (the owner) is great! If you go often enough they'll give you a little box with your own tools in them- everything is super clean. Go Mon-Thurs to get a mani/pedi for $16 which is an awesome deal. The pedicures are great too- they usually use some aloe for the leg massage. I get a gel manicure for $20 which is also super cheap for the polish lasting about three weeks. One thing I do wish is that they offered a gel mani/pedi deal so that you wouldn't have to pay the full pedicure price while the normal deal is going on. I think i found my new nail place! it had everything you look for at a nail salon. Great customer service, clean environment, variety selection of OPI/Essie colors, and Jane! She is super sweet and literally takes her time to do the job. I was in there for 2 hours had a mani and wrap done and she did such an amazing job. My pedicure was ok, the color needed 3 coats and i didn't really feel like it was done as good as my nails. But Jane definitely made up for my experience there. It is a little pricey I paid $58 for a pedicure and wrap. But definitely worth every penny. I will definitely be coming back. There business hours are also a plus. read more

I came here to fill in my nail extensions. I was happy with how they removed gel. However, I am not sure why they said they only do powder gel not regular UV gel. I understand it's better for your nails, but it does not look good on nails. The color is not well applied, it looks almost like faded color. The top looks puffy as if thousand layers have been applied. My nails look 3 times bigger and not even in shape. I don't like how it looks in general. I wish I did the regular uv gel instead of this. It's disappointing. It looked like UV gel was an option however the lady forced me to do powder gel. Never going to do it again. read more

This review is no reflection of the work Nancy my nail technician did. She did a decent job. My manicure was finished up by the owner who was in such a rush she hurt me when cutting my cuticles (which I didn't even complain about). But then she wasn't polishing the sides of my nails. When I asked her to please polish the sides I could tell she got upset. Silence the rest of the time. My sister asked for acrylic tips and she took it upon herself to do powder instead which is more expensive. When I questioned her she answered that it's healthier for the nails. That may be true but you don't take it upon yourself to up charge without consent. Icing on the cake was when she asked me if I tipped everyone. Like what?! She's like sometimes people forget. I wasn't even leaving yet. My sister wasn't even half way done. I was offended especially since I had already tipped her and Nancy. When we finally left she just stared at me. No good night, come again nothing so I said thank you and she stayed quiet. Good riddens! Terrible customer service skills. How could she be upset??!!!! I just got my gel powder manicure done by Jane this weekend. I must say not a lot of nail salons in queens are doing the gel powder. So when my mother had found out about this place, and showed me her nails, I decided to give it a try. I'm beyond pleased with sooo many colors she had to offer ! She took her time and did my nails sooo pretty I'm definitely going back. Gel powder lasts about 3 weeks the most, & she charges 30$ for it. Some places offer it for 35$ but also depending where. I was dissatisfied with the service provided by this salon. Aside from the long wait time (even with appointment) I was pressured into a service I did not fully understand. Originally, I went in there for a gel manicure yet it was insisted that I received "powder gel" because "it's better" for the nail. When in reality it's just more expensive and very similar to acrylic, which I do not like. In addition, Sue, the woman who serviced me that day, was very aggressive. She was not attentive to detail and made two of my fingers bleed when buffing them for the manicure. Aside from the horrible service, the place was clean but not cheap.
