I've always been hesitant to get facials from places, I've always been the type to visit a dermatologist and just stick to a skin regimen at home but I finally decided to just GO FOR IT. Greatest decision ever. I've been seeing Emma for 1 YEAR NOW. My first session was great, we did a facial and blueberry peel, it was refreshing and left my skin glowing. It boosted my skin for the better and truly left an even surface on my skin. I was expecting to have like massive redness from extractions but that was not the case for my 1st time. Second time I went ... I waited a while to go because I was so busy and I went to her again 5 months later. I came in to do an acne facial with peel and I was impressed. I did not have to tell the woman anything about my diet, skin care routine, et cetera. She told me what I was doing and advised what I should do to clear up my skin. The facial took about an hour or so to complete and was well worth the price tag. She cleaned out everything!! The only downside is that it is painful but there is no beauty without pain! Every product she used was natural and not harah on my skin. I bought a deal on Groupon. It was about to expire so I quickly called and Emma fit me in right away. Skin Solutions is actually downstairs from a hair salon. It's easy to miss if you're not looking at the house numbers but there's a big poster board on the glass of the salon. While Emma is fantastic, the people in the salon weren't as great. Nobody asked me if I needed anything or what I was there for. I mean, if I was actually there to get my hair done, it wouldn't been terrible customer service. Regardless, don't let their attitude dissuade you. I finally got someone's attention and they directed me down the stairs. It's a little creepy, to be honest. I was early for my appointment so I sat on the couch and waited. Emma was very prompt. Right at 12 o'clock, her door opened and her previous client walked out and I walked right in. Her office is a different completely atmosphere. Very light and friendly. Emma was great. She asked me a bunch of questions about my skin and then went straight to work. I had previously written a review about emma's facials, but i had to come write another review about the laser treatments she offers. In the past, emma had used a different type of laser. It required multiple treatments and while it thinned out my hair, it never got rid of it fully. But Emma now has some new, amazing laser (sorry, i dont know the technical names) that gets rid of my hair completely. I had my upper legs done over a year ago one time after previously doing the old laser for multiple sessions and i have not shaved there since. I just started my lower legs a few months ago which i have never used any laser on before. I have 95% reduction after only 2 sessions. The only downside to the laser is that I have rosacea so it can't be used on my face because it is super sensitive to everything. read more
