I don't trust anyone with my brows except these guys. Every single person who works here always shapes mine up the way I like it without me having to say a word. The best part is no matter how many people there are in line at any point, they always take their time getting every hair and really giving you the attention you deserve. I am very disappointed. I've been going to this salon for a year now, they've always been great "when their boss is present". Today 01/11/2025 around evening I went to get my brows done & I like thread then decided to clean up upper lip & I requested waxing because I am allergic & very sensitive. They did not prep my face & started waxing then when I thought she was done she started threading I had to stop her but it was too late. She didn't bother to put anything after she's done, I paid & she said "tip" I was furious and wanted to leave so I gave $5. If you don't pay tip they talk in Hindi to each other about you & they don't know I can understand which happens all the time. I came home & my whole face is cut & my face had allergy reaction to that. I am very upset and disappointed. read more

Happy I decided to come here on a whim! Definitely was worth the experience. Customer service was friendly, and I was able to leave a happy satisfied customer with nice eyebrows. Back in my hometown I had a favorite eyebrow lady, so I've always been skeptical of trying someone new.?Fortunately, they did a great job with the brows. An additional perk are the other cute stores that are around in the area. read more

Since I spend most of my time in the area I needed a new threading spot. This place is definitely a hit or miss but it all comes down to whoever is doing your threading. I have been coming here since March and I always had this one girl who was pretty awesome. One day I returned looking for her and the tall woman who works in the second chair, told me that Mazi no longer works there, the other 2 girls said no she worked here she off today. Then the tall girl hit the other girl in the leg and said no REMEMBER she doesn't work here anymore, and then processed to say I can do it. Then the two girls was finally on the same page and said oh yeah that's right she doesn't work here anymore. After that point I felt deceived, and I stop going there. A few months later I returned and ironically Mazi is no longer there. So unfortunately the tall girl was there and I let her do my eyebrows and of course she messed them up. I had to wait a few months so they can grow in and I returned again and let another person do it. This lady did an awesome job and because of her I will be returning, but only for her. read more

5/5 Best threading salon in Forest Hills, if not all of Queens. I've been coming to this place for the past 5+ years and it never failed. Even though I now live in Miami, whenever I come back in town I always come here to do my eyebrows. I've had my eyebrows done by all the ladies working and they always did a fantastic job. Can't beat the $5 price on a quality threading. Sometimes it does get packed and you have to wait ~30 minutes on line but I think it's definitely worth it. I always recommend this place to friends!! As soon as she was done with waxing my eyebrows it was burning on my right side ! I got home and found out that she burned me with the wax ! Underneath my right eyebrow it was burning, red, and swollen. Worse experience ever. I'm so disappointed. read more

I was in the area and figured I'd come in to the closest place for my facial threading. This place is very conveniently located, right on Austen Street, and down the steps. I initially wanted specific areas of my face threaded, but then just went with "whole face" for $25. The woman threading my face needed me to help her with touching, holding, and pulling my skin, so I recommend using a tissue or Purell before putting fingers to face. I also had to check every few minutes to make sure hair was thoroughly being removed. This was not the fastest service, which was fine as I wasn't rushed. I was satisfied it was at least thorough because I kept checking the mirror for missed peach fuzz/ hair patches so she was able to go back and do it again. She was very sweet and made sure to listen to my concern of just cleaning up my already thin eyebrows without taking out any more hairs than necessary. Super convenient, good service. I'll have to consider eyebrow tinting as a service here. read more

I was very upset when I found out that Seema was no longer working here. I tried almost everyone and wasn't happy with the outcome. I usually go to this location on Tuesdays but I tried today and the women who work on Thursday afternoon are absolutely rude. She threaded my eyebrows and missed multiple sections. When I brought it to her attention, she said that's my skin. I've done my eyebrows here and they never looked so messy and unfinished. The way she threaded raised bumps on my skin. Yet didn't remove the hair?? I waited and grew my eyebrows out for a month and this is what I waited for? Maybe only go on Tuesday. These women do not want to work and everyone got defensive for her, even though they didn't even look at what I was showing her. I didn't make a fuss. I paid and got out of there. I'll be speaking to the owner, whom I see all they time. read more

I went there for my eyebrow threading and Tina did amazing job. I moved to Forest Hills couple of months back and I wasn't aware of any beauty salon in this area. I was really afraid to go to any new salon for eyebrow threading as I didn't wanted to take any chances with my look.. ;) but I took it as I didn't had any other choice. lolzzz It's a very nice and clean huge salon. Most women stick with one eyebrow salon after getting good results. I mean, who wants to risk having their eyebrows messed up when they already have a place they came go back to? Unless, you're me of course, and care more about convenience.. I normally go to another salon in Jackson Heights for my eyebrows but because I was in Forest Hills and live closeby, I decided not to drag myself over there just to get my eyebrows done. So what do I do? I pop into the salon I've walked past numerous times and thought "Why not?" Worse come to worst, I can fill in my eyebrows with a pencil for a month or until it grows back. Since it was a Saturday, the place was pretty busy with many customers having their hair done or eyebrows threaded. I was greeted by an Indian lady upon walking in and waited 5-10 minutes before it was my turn. She asked me how I wanted my eyebrows shaped (thick with a small arch) and went about shaping them perfectly. When she was done, I could not be happier so I paid the $5 and tipped her well and went about my day. I've gone to other places that made my eyebrows too thin, too high whether it was due to miscommunication or lack of skill. I don't know how their other services are but I am 100% giving my recommendation for their eyebrows. Found my second favorite threading salon! read more

Great experience! Came here yesterday and the threading was quick painless and seamless. I will certainly be back. Parking can be a bit of a headache and location can be hard to find (lower level of "shopping center", but otherwise place is clean, cheap and ladies do a wonderful job. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SALON. Listen to the warnings here D&S is not the place to go for you hair removal needs. I went to the salon yesterday and SPECIFICALLY asked the lady to thread my face and before I knew it she put HOT wax on my face leaving my whole left side of my face scarred. She continued to blame the scarring on an allergic reaction and threaded the other half of my face poorly at that. Not only is this appalling behavior but the wax could have left me with nerve damages. This is a safety and health issue I would not recommend anyone go here and am proceeding to look into how to escalate this situation. Absolutely disgusting. If I could give it no stars I would. read more

Ask for Semma. Trust me, she makes your eyebrows the less thin out of all the other girls. This place is the best threading salon in all of queens. ONLY 5 bucks for it. I travel super far just to get my eyebrows done here. I think Semma is the best at it and she's my go to lady. Call before hand to see if she'll be in. She doesn't work there everyday. read more

Don't see Minu!!! (me-noo) she fucked up my eyebrows! I said NOT thin and the idiot did it extremely thin! I let my brows grow for a year and more and this is what I get!!! I sure didn't pay her! i told her i wasn't after i saw the first eyebrow done. Please do yourself a favor don't see her at least!...Shes short, short haired and ugly...when you spot her out...run! PS....... i found out she also f*cked up my brothers gf's eyebrows too! what a small world and on top of that..this gets even better! wait for it........Minu got FIRED from her previous employer (eyebrow threading salon) located in Sunnyside, Queens! My brothers gf told me...oh yea! and i believe it! why would you hire someone without even knowing their history?! plus! i found out from the manager that i'm not the first complaint! why would you keep her after telling me that i'm not the first complaint!? c'mon brah! seriously!? she doesn't deserve the job especially when she's messing other people's eyebrows! the nerve of her telling me how i should have it when i told her specifically as detailed as possible how i wanted them!!! I don't think I've ever been as disappointed and betrayed by Yelp as I do now, because this place is horrible! As an Asian with sparse brows, the worst thing that can happen is have a threader butcher your brows by threading them WAY TOO THIN. Well, that's what happened. I was sat down after waiting, and I specifically told my threader in the beginning that I wanted a natural shape and repeated two times that I did NOT want it too thin. I let her work, and when I looked in the mirror again, it looked like as if I had no eyebrows at all! I was upset and told her that they were too thin for my liking, but she shrugged and didn't even bother apologizing. I was reluctant to even give my threader that $5, but I did and then walked out. I'm never coming back to this place!! I know that a lot of these Indian threading places may not be used to doing Asian brows, but a lot of places I've been to were able to do a decent job (and make it a little bit too thin for my liking, but it's overall bearable). I feel like the people here had no idea what they were doing when it comes to Asian brows. BEWARE. read more

Ok .... so I went in for my very first Brazilian wax. OMGGGGGGGGosh was it an experience!!! The waxing itself wasn't so bad; I guess I was incredibly nervous because of all the past reviews I've read about the horrors of waxing. Anywoo, I stepped into D&S Threading Salon and was greeted by 3 friendly women. Before I began the waxing, I showed one of the ladies a coupon I printed from their website which said "Get Arms + Full Leg + Brazilian .... and underarms FREE". I was then guided into the back where the waxing took place. So to make a long story short, I paid $60 for both the full legs and brazilian and got my eyebrows threaded for free. I felt so confused and played as I walked out of the salon. The woman never honored my coupon and made me pay for both services when one of them should have been free. I do appreciate the Brazilian wax, which was semi-quick and very smooth, but I don't think I will go back because of their shadiness and misrepresentation of their coupon. read more

By far the worst eyebrow experience ever. I came here once before and the lady took off almost all of my eyebrow. I thought it was my fault for not telling her I didn't want it to thin so I decided to give it another shot. This time the woman left me with two eyebrows that look nothing alike. One eyebrow is significantly higher than the other and they are two different shapes. Also, she was having a loud conversation and was breathing over my face as she talked. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will never return read more

Talk about salon quality at a great price! Very clean facility and staffed with awesome, knowledgeable and friendly young women. I've been to many salons for eyebrow threading, and for some reason, D&S does the cleanest job, quickly and with accurate precision. My eyebrows always come out looking great! Another great service they provide is their brazilian wax at a mere $30!!!! And it's the full brazilian my friends... front and back! Most places in the city charge $50 for the front and you have to shell out an extra $20 for the back! So this place gives the greatest deal for a fully-cleaned, hair-free feel! :) read more

Great place! I do my eyebrows with Reet- She is the BEST!!! I trust her more than I trust myself! I am there for almost 2 years. I also do wax sometimes which is also great, fit to also sensetiv skin. Reasonable price and all the women who work there are very nice as well! I highly recommend! read more

I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for many years and I am so happy that I found this gem. Specifically happy that I found Minoo (she is the cute woman with the short hair)..She is always consistent. She corrected my eyebrows and now has been shaping them for over a year now. I have never gotten so many compliments on my eyebrows as I do now! Minoo gives a really awesome facial and does a great wax job as well. This place is great because its a one stop shop. I used to go to Rani's on 108th street because I live 5 minutes away from it... until I found this haven. They charge $5 for eyebrow threading which is dollar less (yay!) than at Rani's. It's more expensive if you decide to get them waxed but I like threading anyway. They do a way better job and it is very clean. It's located downstairs in the little mini mall(?) on Austin street. 5 stars for not having to go back to Rani's anymore read more

Edited from one star to four stars (old review below the lines) I first have this place a one star for reasons mentioned below. I had vowed never to go back here, but was once left with no choice. I'm glad that happened because I was to discover that the staff is different now and so wonderful! They do an amazing job of threading. I've been there three times ever since and every time I've left satisfied. Every complaint I had the first time has been rectified. I had to come back here and edit my review! -------------------------- The only reason I came here is because they advertise lower prices than other threading salons. But I now know why. It's literally self service. I went to get my eye brows threaded. After I was given the mirror to check if it was done according to how I wanted it, I asked her to thread one more layer as one eyebrow looked different from the other. She literally scolded me for wanting what I wanted. Not only was she reluctant to thread one more time, she was just plain rude. Like I had somehow picked on her skill! Thankfully, I didn't need anything else done. I asked if they would apply any rose water or cream on my eyebrows, as is the general norm at all salons. But she just pointed me to a bottle of the aloe cream and asked me to apply it myself. I don't have issues doing that, but it's the the attitude of the staff that was most off putting. I left a tip nevertheless. But won't return. read more

I had my eyebrows and upper lip threaded for the first time. I am sort of satisfied? I loved the shape of my eyebrows, but I was left with a small cut on underneath my left eyebrow. I don't really mind the cut, but I had a problem with the attitude of the worker. She was very snappy and impolite. Now that I think about it, I kind of regret giving her a $5 tip (eyebrow and upper lip $5 each). TL;DR - only reason why I'm taking away 1 star is because of the rude service. read more

Clean, professional environment. All of the esthetician's do a great job. I am happy with my eyebrows every time I come here. My only complaint is there is no sign in sheet. They call next and everyone looks around and has to guess which person is next. This is very unorganized and can be a bit awkward for customers. I suggest implementing a sign in sheet where customers write their name, time of arrival, and services they would like done. read more

It's unfortunate that such a positive experience with the estheticians is overshadowed by poor management. The final straw came when my services were canceled because of a private conversation I had with a former employee. That conversation was never made public, yet it was shared with management and used as the basis for ending my services. I found it deeply unprofessional to act on secondhand information from a private conversation rather than address any concerns with me directly. Rather than reaching out to discuss my concerns or taking any accountability for my repeated negative experiences, I simply received a message informing me that my private conversation had been shared and that I was no longer welcome at that location. There was no phone call, no conversation, and no effort to understand or address the issues I had experienced. If you're considering this location, I encourage you to read the reviews for yourself. My experience was consistent with many of the concerns other customers have shared. A generic, automated response to negative reviews indicating "you're looking into it" does not resolve the underlying issues or improve the customer experience. I can wholeheartedly recommend Dolly and the estheticians who provide excellent service, but my repeated experiences with management have left me unable to recommend this location.

I was just a bit taken back because the communication for a client was non existent - no greeting, no explanation of check in just no acknowledgment. When Safie did come out she said you can go to the room in the back and get undressed again no greeting. The room was on the smaller side and I didn't see any place to hang my clothing. I waited for an additional 5 minutes for Safie to come to the room. When she came the she asked if I was getting a Brazilian which I responded yes, and she said I gave you time to undress and I indicated I couldn't locate a place to hang my clothing. She closed the door and showed me the hook on the back door. I would have never thought to look there as the door was open when I came to the room. Someone should have given me instructions want me to the wrong as it was my first time in that location. Safie, services were good but a bit rough and I've been sugaring for 10 years. I visited this business in its old location and had a better experience before they moved here.

The only con I can see is that sometimes they are super busy so I try to go during downtimes so i don't wait too long. Everything is clean and I always have good brow shaping.
