They did not prep my face & started waxing then when I thought she was done she started threading I had to stop her but it was too late. If you don't pay tip they talk in Hindi to each other about you & they don't know I can understand which happens all the time. She didn't promise to deliver magic overnight but after she threaded them, she instructed me to put castor oil on them every day (or night) and to regularly come to see her every 3 weeks without exception. It's been almost 3 weeks and I am due to go back to her and I'm excited for the progress she is promising! I'll provide an update in a few months! I'll say that it's a new business in the area and I'm happy to support. She also gives a loyalty card and the prices overall are reasonable. She also accepts all form of payment with no minimum. THANK GOD! Although the prices outside are not accurate, the ladies in there were so sweet and patient. Party was great and I would definitely try her again for my other waxings. I asked her to fix it because I could've done it myself if I wanted something so imperfect but I think she was annoyed.. she did cut my nails, filed, buffed, apply cuticle oil, cut my cuticle and gave me a small hand massage. Colour.. yikes.. the colour was sheer to the point where it doesn't look like I have anything on. I think she should've done at least 3-4 coats but only did two.. colours are suppose to be opaque but no.. I came home and luckily had a colour that was similar enough to paint on top. Noticed next AM at work, tech glued another set of clusters to my left eyelid. Texted Mirella requesting full refund as I now have to pay for removal by another salon as well a new set as obviously I have no further confidence in her or her lash technicians. It's comical to think any client would choose to have a correction done by the same technician/ salon that caused the problems (multiple) in the first place. Your statement with reference to poor removal/hygiene - it's sad when other technicians are scape goated for poor work they have to rectify when the installation was less than to begin with. Removal was difficult due to placement of clusters too close to lash line as well as too close together, glued on top of each other, and same holds true for appearance of a sty. Ocular sebaceous glands cant secrete as usual - again- because of poor application. But of course, you with your professional experience should be knowledgeable of that. And, please, stop acting as if the way I spoke to you was improper when your texts are posted for everyone to read LMAO. Lesson learned here is to be grateful for the money I spent to know unequivocally this is a business I wouldn't waste any money on in the future. I was able to walk in without an appointment but highly recommend making one to avoid waiting around like I did. Nisha was my lash technician and since I didn't have a good idea of what length to do, I explained to Nisha that I wanted a natural but fuller look. She knew exactly what I wanted and took her time doing my lashes. They're very clean and sanitary, and I felt very comfortable as she asked how I was doing every so often. It's been a week and I've received many compliments already. Definitely recommend if you're in the Astoria area!
