Came here once, not coming back. Had my brows done. Color didn't stay. The girl did not have artistic eyes at all, my brows looked terrible afterwards. I ended up buying a kit on amazon and just did it myself. read more

I have been coming to see Kay for years. I started coming with my friends when I was a teen then brought my mom and sister-in-law also. Everyone agrees she is the best! She is truly professional, will explain everything to you, and always makes you feel cared for. I love walking in and being greeted by her smile and kindness. My cousin has been going to Kay for quite some time, and now, whenever I visit New York from North Carolina, at least twice a year--I'll be making sure to see Kay for my brows. Couple weeks ago I Stumbled upon Kay's Eyebrows salon m in Chelsea and loved her so much, i now became a regular at her original location in Middle Village. I literally drive 35 minutes to have her do my eyebrows, lamination and vaxxing. Kay is so sweet, personable and more importantly knowledgeable about all things hair. She treats you like a family. I have been going here on and off for years. The staff is all very kind and patient. They allow you to text to make an appointment beforehand but I never do so I usually have to wait a bit. I do not mind waiting because I like the fact they take their time on each customer. Thank you all for always doing your best and I love how my brows look after a visit! read more

First time at Kay's Threading today and WOW!!!!! Can't believe I've been living in the neighborhood for 3 years and just had my first visit today. Moving from Brooklyn to Queens, I needed a new eyebrow/wax/threading place and many recommendations were telling me to come to Kay's! It's close by my house and making an appointment/walkins are great. I felt so comfortable and got my eyebrows threaded for the first time in my life! Also with my lip and chin (I have dark colored hair) and it did not hurt at all! I was amazed at the professionalism and all the services that Kay's offers. I can't wait to go back again soon! Been here a couple of times and yes the Indian lady has talent however she is not so nice when it comes to customer service, walked in she was there but let someone else (I assume new) do my eyebrows which she insisted was good, and since I've trusted this place I didn't argue much about it since she walked off anyways. Second thing is here they have a thing where they charge $10 for men and $8 for women. whattttt. I guess moral of the story is stick to your lady and if they assign you someone else run as fast as you can. Waste of $ I gotta go elsewhere to fix. read more

I've been going to Kay's since I was 16 and never once had an eyebrow mishap. I also go for Brazilian waxing, which, takes a ridiculous amount of trust and I can't imagine going anywhere else. This is the go to spot. Don't like my barber doing my eyebrows anymore. My sister and I have been going here for years, even though I've moved away and came back she still remembers how I like them done. She even opened up the shop again after closing when I was rushing around before a wedding to get my eyebrows done. read more

Only do your eyebrows if kay is there . The other girls are very sweet in their service but many times I've been unhappy with how my eyebrows look when done by them . I normally like them thick and mention this every time before they start working . I haven't done my eyebrows in months because they thinned it out too much read more

Today was my first time here. I didn't wanna make a special trip to get my brows done and this was on the way to the gym. When I walked in both girls were sitting. Neither of them were eager to help me. In fact they were pushing each other to do the threading. So I sat and the first thing she did was cut my brows. Ok that's new. I told her I didn't want my brows thinner and just to clean up. She had me holding my brows with both hands. That's also new. She was super chatty with her coworker and really took long. Took her over 10 minutes. I'm used to being done in 5 minutes. Afterward she cut my brows again and asked if I wanted lotion. I said yes. She did a brow massage where she really applied pressure and did like 1 minute. Ok...sure. Great idea to rub the area that's sensitive after removing hair from it smh. My brows came out ok though I seemed to have lost my arch a bit. When I was at the gym my brow area had a few red bumps probably irritation from the brow massage. That's a first. Also it's $8 to get threading here. More expensive than the city where I usually go for mediocre job. U can get a better job for $5. Will not be returning. read more

2 stars only because yes the eyebrows are good ..actually, amazing. But they ruined my face with their facial. My skin was fine before they talked me into doing an expensive facial that ate at my skin. The next day I broke out so bad and my skin has been ruined since. My skin is seriously so scary to look at. Never doing a facial anywhere after this experience. I will only do my eyebrows here. Another thing! Kay will ask you to go to the atm to get cash if you don't have cash on you. Her response was "debit cards are no good for me, I get charged" when I had a $60 bill. Just ridiculous. The others girls are awesome. Do not go to Kay. She's not that great and she'll tell you your brows and lips have "too much hair" in front of everyone. Well obviously that's why I'm here! Stay away and stick with the other girls. read more

This review is on their $5 Henna advertisement that they have on their front window , I specifically showed one of the new ladies a picture of what I wanted she said okay and she did what ever she wanted and very sloppy and thick job then said it was $20!!! How did it go from $5 to $20 shouldn't that have been mentioned when she saw the picture !!?? anyway I can not wait for it to completely erase!! read more

Definitely used to be a place I would want to go to and couldn't wait to see how nice my eyebrows would look... but now Kay(owner) is never really there and the girls are careless about the work. I never touch my brows and I always tell them to just clean up if Kay isn't there and my brows are all messed up now ... not happy. read more
