We called for a walk in appointment and the lady said they can take us for 2 pedicures. I was happy because it was a last minute change of plan coz my nail lady of 20 years was busy and so we decided to give this place a try. Wei got scammed big time and will never come back to this place ever. The whole pedicure with callus removal for 10 dollars more was done in a flash of less than 10 mins. The lady did not even clean my cuticles until I said so and she was just picking on the sides without really cleaning the nails. She was in a big rush to paint my nails and get it done. Just plain cheating of paying customers. If they don't have time they should have not take the appt. This how loss how you loss customers and I hope the owner will pay attention or do something about. read more

THE WORST WAXING EXPERIENCE! Got a coupon in the mail and I'm always looking for local places to support so figured I'd give it a try. I walked in and the salon itself is clean and looks like it's a good place for a mani/pedi, but alas this review is ONLY for waxing services. I had an appointment for a full leg wax and was taken right away when I walked in. I should have known the second I saw the roll-on wax that it was going to be bad. She started at my calves and off the bat it was a bad experience. The roll-on wax was irritating my skin and pulling at my hairs. She had me flip over to my stomach and started the back of my legs and kept waxing and rewaxing the same spot over and over. Irritating my skin so much I had to stop her. She tried to explain that the roll-on is good. She understood I wanted her to use the Gigi wax pot which she used the smallest possible stick to apply the wax... no surprise THEY DOUBLE DIP. At the end she tried to sweet talk me, but the damage was done. I will not go back for a waxing. read more

This nail salon is beautiful, absolutely relaxing and tranquil. I really do love the quiet headspace it gives you to relax and be pampered. Yesterday was my first time going here. I have to say I do not like to wait but I figured I came this way to get a manicure & pedicure after a long day, why not just wait? But I said to myself I hope they don't say 30 mins and have me waiting longer. Its a popular thing in these establishments. Turn's out Sunny was right on time! That was the esthetician that did my pedicure and manicure. After waiting, I decided on a lavender spa pedicure and instantly when the soak hit the water it was an aroma that released in the air, I was ready to KO in the massage chair. She took her time and catered to my pedicure and massage. I gave a 4-star rating because from what I can see and based on the reviews the skill can be better. I am not picky when it comes to my nails and toes but I see others are. Its important. Nonetheless, it honestly was amazing. She could do this because it was only her and another nail tech and not too much clientele. However, it might have been just the time of day because I do see they have many people who come in and are told come back or given the 30 mins wait time. I have followed Sunny here from another spa in Astoria where she used to work. Now Sunny is the new owner of Oxygen Garden Spa! Although I live in Astoria, I will most certainly be coming here so that I can continue to get my massages from Sunny. She is quite simply, an amazing masseuse, and one that is very 'sensitive' and in-tune with her clients. I am lucky to now call her a friend of mine, and am so happy that her wish to have her own nail salon and treatment spa has come true. I've been coming here for a while since they bought the place off from Libya. The last 2 pedicures have been a waste of money. I don't know what is going on with them. Went around 7pm, salon was empty. Linda did my pedicure that lasted a whole 5 minutes. Not sure what exactly she was rushing for. She half painted my nails. Rushes the cleaning and the foot massage... what foot massage? She rubbed cream on it and kept it moving. I'm a big ripper. I expect better service and this place is disappointing me. I usually go in between appts, since someone else does my nails on Junction. Address your technicians! They're rushing for nothing and losing customers you won't last in Sunnyside. Really disappointed. This is such a cute spa and the ladies are very friendly and sweet. The location is also really convenient for me, tucked away in Greenpoint Ave. I decided to give them a try after receiving a promotional in the mail. The pedicure was great. The only comment I had on that experience was that the chair was not very great. It made so much noise but you couldn't really feel the massage. Linda helped change my mind to try my first SNS tip extensions. I went with a French thinking I would be able to get an better filling this way. As she went on, I tried to explain my concerns as my nails were looking really sloppy and bumpy. I thought if I spoke up during the treatment, I am at least giving her the opportunity to fix it. She told me to trust her. I explained that when I normally get dip powder gel, my usual lady at Lotus Nails can file them down pretty thin and it still lasts. She said she cant file them thinner and that it will be fine. The end result? I am incredibly disappointed and wished I had just gone to my usual salon. I'm sure this place will be great for a regular mani and pedi. But anything further than that, I advise proceed with caution. I'll be going to Lotus to get this fixed. read more

Had an absolutely botched job done by Linda for a regular pedicure and gel manicure!! She demanded I leave her a 30% tip -- a tip is never obligation. A customer gives what a customer feels is deserved after the job done. She rushed through the entire session and was completely inattentive to detail nonetheless was it a completely slow day! I.E. she scrubbed one foot more than the other, left some nails at a complete diagonal instead of the standard square, had me put TWO hands in ONE UV machine. Left my manicure completely bumpy and missing spots and had me bleeding after cutting me too much on my toe. I had a completely horrid experience -- wouldn't recommend Linda to anyone!! read more

I went here for a deep tissue massage. My massage therapist was Linda and she did a terrific job! Amazing massage. I feel so energized and relaxed at the same time. She was very professional and asked my feedback regularly about the pressure during the massage. The place is very clean and maintained. They offer variety of other spa services. I wonder why this place doesn't have many reviews, so I did my part to leave a review about my experience. Horrible! Have come here many times for mani/pedis, and the service is usually hit or Miss. However my latest experience was just too Much and i can now say i will never return. Fot a green tean spa pedicure, and the guy who was doing it neglected to do anything that came with the spa pedicure (ie: 10 min massage, green tea masque, etc). When i called him out on it he got mad and started yelling in chinese. The manicure was a disaster. I asked him to temove the polish and i sat there and did it myself. When i asked for my momey back for the manicure, i was told 'no dont be angry your next manicure is free.' I usually see Linda or Jojo for manicures, pedicures, and deep tissue massages. They are so sweet, attentive, and always ask about your preferred amount of pressure. I've been coming here for two years and I will not be found anywhere else. :) PS. This spa gets pretty busy in the evenings and on the weekends so I like to call ahead the day before. This place is so much more than your regular nail salon! My friend and I came here for massages and nail services. When they brought us downstairs for the massages, Omg! Totally gorgeous and serene downstairs. I think this is also the area where they do facials, as I saw fancy facial equipment. Before our massages, they brought us lemon water! And the massage was amazing, I felt so great after. We went back upstairs for nails. Note I'm not too fancy for nails, so I just had a clean up of my cuticles and clear polish. The employee who knew that I was next just STARED at me, then at the employee who took the customer who came after me. As soon as I got up to leave, that's when the employee spoke up to mention it was my turn. My first time here, I got a mani-pedi. Mani was fine, but I can't say the same about the pedi. My otherwise beautiful nails are now all types of shapes, the Gel mani is bumpy and discolored feels like I have growths on my nailbed. Cuticles not properly trimmed. She put a different color than I had requested and kept telling me it's ok and seemed offended when I brought it to her attention. Insisted I put both hands in a single machine at the same time which ofcourse kept messing up the paint job. Then I was rushed off the chair while she tried to shove my shoes in one of the bags not knowing there was a plant in there. The color on the big finger got messed up and she just added onto it. Today I went to get a massage. I usually go 1 or 2 times a month. This time I decided to do only 30 minutes. When I told the girl that it was only 30 minutes, she offered me to do the chair massage when They always do it on the massage table . When I told her that I wanted on the table , she gave me a bad look . Once there she began to do the massage with bad attitude and without oil on my back. I asked her to pour me oil and she put the oil with a bad attitude and she put too much oil on me that began to drip all over my back and neck. SHe kept doing the massage with bad attitude and I told her that I didn't feel comfortable and I left. Usually the massage is done by Sunny or another lady who is older but this other girl who I think her name is Linda, had very bad attitude. I will not go back! read more

This place is terrible, do not waste your time/money or jeopardize your health! The nail technicians don't know what they are doing and are rude on top of it. I got a regular pedi and sns powder manicure done by Jojo. I added extras like callus removal and massage so I wound up spending a decent amount. I also left a very nice tip (even though she cut one of my toes to the point of bleeding and most of the cuticles on my fingers later had scabs from her filing the skin instead of the nails). What really upset me is my nails started chipping less than 24 hours later and I had gotten them done specifically for an important formal event the next evening. I returned 2 days later to show them my fingernails and ask for my money back on just that service. Sns nails should last several weeks not one day! Obviously you applied the product incorrectly. After spending over $100 at this business and getting terrible service I don't think it was an unreasonable request. I proceeded to get verbally attacked by the three ladies working there and told they cant give refunds and they didn't do anything wrong my nails are the problem. I have been getting powder manicures every few weeks for over a year with no problems so it's not my nails. Horrible horrible horrible! read more

I got a SNS manicure a few days ago from this nail salon. My experience was not the best but I was looking for a place more local. I ask the employees if it was a better option to get SNS or gel to which she replied "whatever you want." I had tried to explain how two of my nails were very short and one was being held by nail glue but the response was the same, so I end up doing SNS. Mid way though a silent manicure, she noticed the acrylic tip she used isn't the right size and attempted to just file it into the right shape, which I guess sorta worked. I also noticed my fingers were burning from the polish she was using for the dip. When I told her, she just blew on my fingers. I've had SNS before at other salons and have never experienced the chemical burn sensation I was experiencing at this place. Then she proceeds to tell me that SNS is not good for natural nails that I should have done gel... On top of all that I noticed her wiping clean her tools with acetone (which after taking a second look some looked rusty) and placing them in a drawer or something out of sight. Two days later my SNS has already begun cracking. I'm never going back. P.S. I also got a regular pedicure, which also was massively disappointing. read more

I was next, at least i thought I was. 3 people came in immediately after me and they began with one of the walk ins stating they had an appointment which is ok. But then another technician came in and started taking care of someone else when i was next. I came once before and had a bad manicure and thought i would give them another try - never again.
