Poor experience !! - I do not recommend this salon for threading services. They use a sharp thread without any protective base, which leads to scarring on skin. They seemed overbooked this day because the staff who did my lashes told me after applying glue second time, "I will be back in 10 mins" then she left me laying in bed with my eyes shut, then she would take in another customer who complained that she had been waiting for a while for her appt. She left me for more than 10 mins and I got worried that my eyes might be infected or something with a strong chemical substance. When she returned to me she did not apologize for making me wait or did not explain the delay in my eyelash treatment. she rushed me off and rubbed my eyes off a harsh way that my right eye is feeling uncomfortable today. I still did not complain and left the place. This morning (the next day) I woke up and my left lash was rather flat. not curl at all. I was told not to apply water - which I followed. I called to ask for assistance and explained my situation. The lady on the phone kept saying nothing she can do about it, it was nice when it was done a day before, and told me to call Groupon for help. I tried to communicate with her and asked if she could meet me at least halfway to offer me service- She eventually hung up on me without offering any solution or apology. I've been going to this chain for a while (but in Brooklyn). I moved to Miami and now I'm back and this is the location closest to my job. I'm glad they are able to bless my brows the same way the other location used to. In Miami, they typically would charge you 10+ dollars it it to have them take 30 minutes AND make your brows way too thin and uneven. And it's inconsistent. I went to so many places and they all sucked. So I just decided to do it on my own. Yet here, it's $7. Takes 10 minutes. Brows look amazing every single time. It's just so consistent. Snagged a deal on Groupon for two Brazilian waxes for $40. Normally $40 each. It was easy to call and make an appointment after work. Tina did my wax and was super friendly and also very quick, which I appreciated. Waxing is never fun, and there is always a little pain, but my experience here was pretty good. I am used to cloth strips, which makes it less painful in general. However, here they use a chocolate wax and their methods seem to work great. My normal waxer is away during the winter, so I will definitely be coming back here in the meantime as it is close to where I live, a great deal, and not too painful. Also the rooms are clean and there is also a curtain connected to the inner door of the room so that when they open the door to come in and wax you, the curtain is there so you are not showing everything to people in the waiting room. read more

Honestly one of the best threading/waxing place I've ever been to in manhattan. The wonderful women working there are amazing and give super customer service. I've become a regular there because they do a stupendous job, especially Tina! She is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Today was my second time getting eyelash extensions done by her and I can say that this place is an expert at all things. You pay for what you get and you will see once you give this place a try. I normally get a Brazilian, eyelash threading, underarm waxing and eyelash extensions. You can also find vouchers on Groupon from them sometimes if you want to try that out too. The service like I mentioned before is great. These ladies literally are caring and are experts at recommending things you might want to try. Of course you might think "oh more money to spend" but I guarantee you it's worth trying something new. I highly recommend this place to anyone who either lives or works around the UES or if you're willing to make the trip then by all means try it out. You obviously will not get 5 star spa treatment but you will get a satisfactory experience for a price that is well below half of what other places charge nearby. It doesn't feel super clean but I wouldn't say dirty either. They have signs that say that they don't double dip which is great.
